After shopping, my wife and I decided to try the Halo-halo version of Kuya J's because we've heard that it taste really good. Halo-halo by the way is a Filipino cold dessert made of crushed ice, milk and ingredients like ube, leche flan, beans, etc. We ordered the ube halo-halo espesyal and surprisingly it does taste really good. It was creamier too and very filling. It is not too sweetened like most halo-halo out there. The only thing I didn't like about is it has fewer added ingredients in it but it was still okay. I also recommend their affordable palabok. It's a must try!
When you're craving for some Filipino food, this is the place to be! Really good food and the price is alright. Restaurant is neat and well maintained. Service is fast too. Although, for the halo halo, I kinda don't like how they tweaked the taste and ingredients, but I also know some people who like it. I guess you just have to taste it? hahaha
I really love to dine here at SM seaside’s branch of Kuya J because it is not too crowded plus you can really enjoy the halo2 without having to be in a hurry because og crowd queue

Foods are superb! Everythings is delicious. Staffs are also friendly. Highly recommended! I love their halo-halo also. The ambiance is cool though the place is not that spacious.
My family enjoyed the foods. We ordered beef calderata, chopsuey, beef sinigang, roasted chicken, and halo-halo. All foods mentioned deserve two thumbs up. Foods are in good quality and in affordable prices also. Shoutout to their shocking size halo-halo for only 109 pesos.
One of my favorite place to dine. Foods are perfect! I love their sisig. I love their pork belly. The serving is nig enough and is usually good for two person. The serving time can sometimes take a while though. But still one of my fav place to dine it. Totally Filipino (y) Will definitely go back here to take pictures. Will update my review then.
i went here with my classmates and we tried the Kuya J Mango sago. It was so good, refreshing perfect for the weather what we called "summer effect"you no longer feel the heat of the sun because of these. Better try
Love crispy pata and kare-kare. Good serving portion. Great ambiance, service is good too. Will comeback definitely. Great price!
We also tried:
Daing na bangus
Pansit
Tortang talong
Sinigang na Baboy
Everything we ordered are delicious.
First time here with my friends and I think we ordered too much for 5 people. We had their crispy kangkong and calamaries as appetizer but it became part of our main course already since they served the food all at once. I like the crispness of their crispy pata and the kangkong matched with their mayo dip. Their sizzling sisig with egg is also a must try. However I am quite disappointed of the sinigang na baboy since the pork is a bit chewy. Also they only have ice tea for pitchers. We find the ambience relaxing and the hanging shelves homey and catchy. :)
Aside from their delicious heavy meals, two of my most favorites here at Kuya J is their ambience (that includes the bookshelf and the hanging light; fascinating interior design) and their halo-halo which ice was made from milk. I love how creative their chefs are in coming up with new styles of cooking. Visit their outlets now at designated places!
