It's nice to eat at this place bc they serve delicious dishes and our table is over looking the busy streets. They also have a band during dinner.
We came to this place a little more than 30 minutes before their closing time. But the staff were still really accommodating. We had their boodle fight that was good for 3-4 persons, the cucumber pitcher and citrus pitcher. The boodle fight consisted of corn, scallops, calamari, pancit, pork barbecue, chicken inasal, lechon kawali and rice.
The rice was quite a lot, we couldn't finish it at all and we were starving. The scallops was too salty for my liking but it was cleaned well. The calamari was a bit bland but went well with their sauce, same with the chicken. The barbecue, lechon kawali and pancit tasted really good though. The citrus drink was too sweet, but the cucumber one was just right.A bit on the pricy side but overall it was very filling.
Choobi Choobi at Parkmall is one best places to go when you crave for Seafood. Their shrimps are just awesome. I consider it one of the best in the city. The other dishes that I love is their mussels and their Filipino food offerings. The place is just perfect for celebrations.
Place: It's an open restaurant makes you feel like you're eating outdoors. Seating is okay. They can definitely accommodate a big group of people.
Staff: Very attentive. They will definitely take care of you but you have to be patient tho because this place is jam packed with people specially on the weekends so they can't cater to your needs ASAP.
Food and price: Typical pinoy food. Shrimp is good but I'd say Bucket Shrimp has better flavor. Price, a teeny tiny bit on the steep side since their serving is only good for 2 to 3 people.
Their chicharon bulakbulak was great. Along with their guso (seaweed) dish and their mixed vegetables. Great food. Great place to be during the evening summer heat since it's pretty airy. Had a problem with flies though -- they love to stick around. Sadly, only decided to take a nose dive into my drink (which I barely touched). Restaurant didn't replace it. Was a bit disappointed about that since their iced tea was also quite delicious.
How many shrimp dishes can you make? Let Choobi Choobi count the ways. They also have a variety of other Filipino dishes on their menu. We tried their fried chicken and chopsuey for lunch. Their Parkmall branch is al fresco dining only. Prices are affordable. You won't spend more than 1000 for 2 people.
My friends and I decided to eat here. The food is great also the place is quite big. They allowed credit cards. Also they prefer for a reservation if you are plenty for them to prepare and ready your table.
