Great Chinese food. I love the sweet and sour chicken, peking duck and all the other dishes we ordered. The service is very good. The price range is on the higher end but it is well worth it.
The food here is amazing! This is definitely my favorite Chinese resto in the Philippines. The Duck, string beans with minced pork, sweet and sour pork and fried rice are very good. I believe this is good value for money, despite it being more expensive than the typical Chinese restaurant.
The restaurant boasts the super
elegant and classy interiors. It was awesome. The place was spacious and can be
intimidating for some. Service is excellent though the (food) serving time took
some time (especially the dessert).
The Empress has an extensive menu
balanced with both classic and modern Chinese dishes ; from mouth-watering
appetizers and savory, tender meats, down to its highly-prized seafood roster
and delectable dim sum choices.
- Satay Beef with Vermicelli in Claypot - it
wasn't too spicy and the satay's flavor is rich. Beef strips were big too. It
was saucy as well.
- Roast Pork Belly - this one is tender and
flavorful even without sauces/dip. I like how salty and crispy the skin is.
- Thai-Style Live Garoupa with Mango - I'm not
a fan of fish dishes but this one has a rich sweet and sour flavor.
- Fried Rice with Dried Scallop & Crab
Meat - it's a light fried rice which has a mild flavor enough to pair with
savory dishes.
- Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Black Sesame in
Fresh Coconut - this was so good. It was hot and sweet at the same time.
Perfect for a sweet ending. Try to break the dumpling and mix it with the soup.
- The one that I didn't like was
the Chilled Chinese Yam with Blueberry Sauce. For me, this appetizer lacks flavor.
Price range is on the average/higher end. (will
upload more photos soon)

This was the unforgettable menu presented to our group:
- Chilled Chinese Yam with Blueberry Sauce
- Diced Wintermelon Seafood Soup
- Satay Beef with Vermicelli in Claypot
- Roast Pork Belly
- Thai-Style Live Garoupa with Mango
- Fried Rice with Dried Scallop & Crab Meat
- Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Black Sesame in Fresh Coconut
The Empress Dining Palace spells of extravagance as well as tradition. Opulent surroundings house phenomenal food, and this restaturant itself speaks of culture.
We were treated to a tasting menu as The Empress formally opens its doors to the public this month.
Each dish is like a work of art, and features Cantonese cuisine with a mix of Chinese northern region influences.
🥢Chilled Chinese Yam with Blueberry Sauce
- Cool yam strips with tiny dots of blueberry sauce on top prepped our tastebuds for this delightful set.
🥢Diced Wintermelon Seafood Soup
- I would only encounter wintermelon with milk tea but it proved to be flavorsome with this hot seafood soup.
🥢Satay Beef with Vermicelli in Claypot
- Filling and warm, this has a perfect balance of spice and flavor that I truly enjoyed.
🥢Roast Pork Belly
- These tiny morsels of tender pork belly with crispy skin were a delight, specially when laced with a bit of the mustard.
🥢Thai-Style Live Garoupa with Mango
- Not your usual sweet and sour as the mango gives it a refreshing lilt.
🥢Fried Rice with Dried Scallop and Crab Meat
- We were advised that rice is normally served last in Chinese luncheons as it serves to be fillers only. The taste of the scallops and crab meat were delicate and made this one of the best bowl of fried rice I have tasted.
🥢Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Black Sesame in Fresh Coconut
- This was served in a fresh coconut bowl, an egg-like dumpling filled with a yummy black sesame surprise filling. Break the dumpling and mix the black sesame with the sweet warm milky dessert for a satisfying end to your meal.
