I'd say this is one of the most underrated ramen places in BGC. It is hidden from plain sight when you are in Serendra. First off, the broth is really creamy (which I like). The noodles were cooked right, and the chashu is cooked to perfection. The seaweed was really huge compared to other places with made it eye catching. The best part is the price per bowl of ramen is not really expensive.

Would recommend this place!

The place was really nice. The ambiance was bright and the decor was cute and Japanese-themed (obviously).

As for the food, I definitely loved it. I ate so much and finished the whole bowl (mind you I'm a tiny person standing at 4'11"). The noodles were soft and chewy. The chashu topping was grilled! It was unique and definitely one of the only times I liked the chashu with my ramen. The egg was the best part. I ordered the spicy ramen with their flavored egg (karauma) and the egg was divine. The egg was soft and runny in the inside but the outer part was firm. It upped the deliciousness of the ramen. The broth was yummy. It was rich and flavorful, I devoured the ramen.

However, it was too rich (and I added lots of garlic) that I wanted to vomit afterwards from eating a lot. Overall though, I would love to eat there again.

Also, they have condiments (minced fried garlic, chili powder, etc.) available at the table but the sesame seeds should be requested (I didn't know until the table next to me asked for some).

I so love their rice meals. Serve in a hot bowl were you can mix it before eating. The heat were maintained about 20-30minutes thats why we really enjoyed it. Sometimes food is better when it is hot. The ramen also taste good.

Im just curious what is the difference between Bariuma and Bariuma Jr.

Tried their Ajitama Uma and Gyoza.

Ajitama Uma is their best seller ramen. Broth is creamy and flavor but too thick or heavy. Noodles were soft. ChashuI love how they cooked their eggs - perfectly soft boiled. Menma or the bamboo shoots added texture to the ramen. Reasonable price for a big bowl of ramen.

Nothing special about the gyoza. It is the regular gyoza you can get at any japanese restaurant. It is flavorful, though.

The restaurant can only accommodate a small group of people but the location is very accessible. Savory and frеѕh ramen nооdlеѕ served with grilled thick-cut chashu. My most favorite was the kara-tama-uma, I love the spicy level perfect for rainy weather cravings!

Was really craving for one hot bowl so I decided to give this ramen house a try. The broth of their Ajitama Ramen didn't dissapoint!!! It was ooh so thick! I hope it was more flavourful but the tamago and meat were excellent. :)

It’s been a good few years since Ramen has been introduced in the Philippines. And since then, hungry Juans have turned to it as comfort food. For one simple reason: ramen, as a dish, is rich, flavorful, and filling. And we are tickled pink as a new Ramen Bar has set foot in the Philippines to cure our ramen cravings. Dubbed as the “Strongest Tonkotsu Soup” from Japan, say hello to Bari-Uma Ramen BGC!

Surprisingly good. Different, but good. Not even a ramen fan. Only thing I didnt like is the serving size. They have an after lunch set meal which is bang for the buck though.

If you’re craving for thick soup ramen, this is your place. Was hesitant to try this place as it was rated 3.7 and there was a 4.8 ramen joint nearby but still gave it a shot. Their ramen is pretty good but we especially loved their Chashu Rice in claypot and super yummy with karaage! Must try! Kudos also to their nice staff 👍🏻

There was one review here that said the broth tasted like lucky me beef mami -not too sure what she ordered but their Ajitama-Uma for sure didn’t taste like it :D

The ramen was okay, the typical ramen taste, nothing too fancy. But the people who work there are really nice. I like it that they smile a lot specially when you talk to them. The place is small though, its cute but compact.

Ohayou! My family always loved japanese food especially RAMEN :) We've been trying different japanese ramen house. And found this newly opened resto at serendra.

We ordered their original dish bari-uma ramen then the ajitama ramen the taste are actually the same it's just that the Ajitama has a softboiled marinated egg. The servings are also good! Partnered with karaage perfectly fried crispy but juicy on the inside.

The staff are greeting guest in nihongo, very accomodating. Even the owner or I think he's the owner of the store looks nice and greeted us as we are about leave.

Overall we like the venue, food was great and the staff are nice! Completing a good time eating out!

Thanks! We'll return soon for sure! ;)

I've been a fan of japanese ramens and still in search of some delicious ramens out here in metro manila. To be honest, I'm a picky eater when it comes to ramen, especially with the soup. My boyfriend Christopher Garbin recommended me Bari-Uma in BGC and check it out. As they claimed to be Hiroshima's #1 Ramen, so I tagged along and try out their ramen.

Their staff recommended me Ajitama-Uma. As it was their best selling ramen. The presentation was brilliant. And for the taste, I was surprise, the soup was very rich and flavorful. I like that for my ramen, rich, flavorful, thick soup. The noodles was not too soft and too hard. It was the right consistency for a hot ramen. The texture was also smooth. They say that they make their own noodles which I think this sets them apart from the other Ramen Restaurants. Hopefully I will have the chance to try it out again, since I am too far away from BGC. If ever my boyfriend reads this, please bring me here again 😁 I just love how thick, rich the soup of Ajitama-Uma. Honest to goodness, surprisingly Wow 😊

The place was small but comfy. A semi traditional place. The temperature of the store was ok, but sometimes felt a little cold because of the aircon but you can ask the staffs to lowered down the AC. The sofa was comfy, as if I was sitting on our own sofa at home, eating a hot delicious ramen on a cold rainy day. A very comfortable ambiance as I would say.

The staffs was very friendly too. The energy was there every time they greet their customers. As an anime lover, it's good to here some japanese words from time to time. And it makes me happy. I also greet with the staffs sneakingly whenever customers comes in and out of the store. Hehehe. Their fun and energy was very delightful.

Would I visit this store again? A big YES. Even though I was too far away from BGC. Would I recommend Bari-Uma to my friends? Definitely will do.

5 Star for you guys. Good job in bringing Ajitama-Uma Ramen here in the Philippines 🍜👍

They say that this ramen shop is hirosima's #1 ramen. So im curios what hirosima's ramen taste would be.
Me and my girlfriend went there to try it. We order the ajitama-uma and kara-tama-uma, we also order 5pcs of gyoza and a claypot chashu. Thier gyoza have crispy layer that they called wings!! The taste of there gyoza is delicious. The claypot chashu smells really good, the server will asked if she can mix the rice. Warning!! the rice is really hot so be careful when eating it.

For ajitamauma the soup is very rich and flavorful, the noodles is ok not to hard not to soft. The egg is hard boiled but the inside is soft cook and it has a flavor.
I tasted also the karatamauma and i find the spiciness is tasty and Tolerable for me, im not into spicy food but i can eat their spicy ramen.

I will recommend this to people that is looking for a taste of japan ramen.

Ps. On Weekdays they offer lunch combo meal

It was raining hard in BGC and I really wanted to have some hot soup for dinner. I saw their restaurant nestled between 8cuts and Abe in Serendra and decided to give it a try. A quick Google search told me that this is in fact a ramen franchise from Hiroshima and is known as the most flavorful pork tonkotsu ramen.

Food:
Their friendly staff suggested the Ajitama-Uma. The broth sure was thick and very hot. The flavor was strong and it burst with every sip I took. When I opened the egg, the yolk oozed out perfectly. I requested the noodles to be hard and I got exactly that. Texture was smooth but heavy. You can taste the quality of their noodles. The staff said they make their own noodles which I think sets it apart from other ramen restaurants. The chashu is also very tasty. You can tell it was seasoned pretty well. Karaage was also pretty juicy and tasty. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside and quite large compared to others. I will try the gyoza next time, it looks interesting.

Price:
Not the cheapest but on par with bigger ramen brands. For such a flavorful and filling ramen, I felt it was worth it. I left the place smiling and satisfied.

Place:
A small area compared to other establishments in Serendra but it was very clean and felt half traditional, half-modern Japanese. Aircon was a little cold but the staff helped me by lowering the temperature. It felt very homey and the seats are comfortable... maybe too comfortable in fact.

Service:
I was cheerfully greeted outside even if it was pouring. Their friendly staff was smiling the entire time she was taking my order. The energy is quite delightful and it really felt like they enjoy their job. The entire store was also bustling with Japanese words from the waitresses to the kitchen staff. It was like I was back in Tokyo!

Overall:
Would I visit this place again? Absolutely.
Is this something I would recommend to others? Definitely.
In the end, I had a great experience: the staff was helpful and accommodating and the food was superb. This is now one of my favorite places in BGC.

I tried Ramen Bari-Uma Jr. a couple of weeks ago and I was surprised at how delicious their ramen was even if it was a "milder" but more affordable version of this ramen franchise. I have been waiting a long time for the original Bari-Uma Ramen to open in Serendra (it was supposed to open last June) and yesterday, I was finally able to try it! All my friends were right: the soup is THICK and the restaurant's claim that it was the richest pork tonkotsu ramen is true. The soup is very hot, very flavorful and the chashu is also thick and juicy (that red paste on top is so good I wish you can ask for more)! The noodles were also homemade according to their manager and it goes really well with the soup. I tried the Chashu-Uma because I was starving and my sister ordered the Nori-Tama-Uma and we shared some Teriyaki gyoza and Claypot Chashu. The gyoza had a good crunchy part which the server said is called "flying" because it had wings. The teriyaki sauce is both sweet and a bit gingery which was great. Their claypot chashu is also a huge winner. Placed in a stone bowl, you can really taste the flavor and the smoothness and softness of their Japanese rice. What I like about this one is that they serve beer, SMB and kirin, because it goes really well with hot ramen on a rainy evening. I hope their Jr. would also serve beer just because I live close by. Overall, the place looks great, it is very clean, the servers and staff have good energy but I wish they would change the jazzy music to jpop just like in Jr. Will definitely eat here again and bring my friends. The place is smaller compared to SM San Lazaro so it's better to get there earlier than 7pm. Whoever brought this here, a huge THANK YOU for giving us our new favorite ramen joint!

Ajitama Uma - P380 - Soup is thick and rich. It has that distinct pork tonkotsu flavor. Noodles are not customizable but springy but also gets soggy if you don't eat it at once. Tamago is perfectly flavored. Chashu is generously thick cut. I would recommend getting the Nori-Tama-Uma instead for that additional Umami in the soup.

Kara-Uma - P380 - tolerably spicy but was disappointed at this because all I can taste was Sesame Oil. I'd rather skip this. 🤔

Gyoza - apart from the interestingly crunchy side of the wrapper, it was just good ol' plain gyoza that, again, wreaked of Sesame Oil. 🤔

Okosama Uma - P240 - otherwise known as the Kids Ramen. A lighter Shoyu based ramen with diced sweet chashu and corn. Served with Orange Juice withba cute straw. 😁

I just love how they are kid friendly. They even provide plastic bowls and cuttlery. 😍

Overall, I would say, nothing memorable but this can keep your ramen cravings at bay. An upgrade from Kuroda if you will.
