The Meatball Revolution

Read about this place via Zomato and chose this because of their unique meatball specialty.

I tried the "TMR" platter and it did not disappoint. The spicy wings were the best and the meatball kebab was also good ! They offered meatball spaghetti for an additional 75pesos and it was worth it.

The only downside is that the menu has been downsized and they no longer offer as much variety as before.

I wasn't really supposed to go here last April. It just so happened that I was strolling around Venice Piazza and my friend saw me walking outside so she invited me over.

Honestly, I was not able to view the pricelist. I just ordered a chocolate drink to go. I like it. tastes like ice cream.
However, I find it expensive. I believe it was almost 200 pesos. Hahahaha

The dishes are good. I enjoyed eating the brownies. Caution: It's hot. Like literally. Hahahha. But no need to fret, it has ice cream on top.

There's restaurant in Venice Grand Canal Mall which sells meatballs as their main product, it's called THE MEATBALL REVOLUTION. It's from the team that brought you AGAVE Mexican + Cantina and ANDALE by Agave.🌯🌮

The main concept of the restaurant is to style your own meatballs and/or how will you eat your Creat Your Own Meatballs.🍝

For as low as Php295.00 you can create your own meatballs in four easy steps:

Step 1 - What is your style? Choose from a selection of breads, pasta, rice or naked (enjoy just your meatballs)

I choose PASTA.

Step 2 - Have a ball! Enjoy 3 pieces meatballs per order. You can choose either Classic or Premium.

Classic - Classic Beef, Pork Pimiento, Smoky Chicken, Swedish Pork & Beef or Tofu-Mushroom Veggieball.

Premium (Additional Php40.00) - Spiced Lamb, Chunky Shrimp or Cheesy Stuffed Beefballs.

I choose CLASSIC.

Step 3 - Be saucey! Choose your favorite from their homemade sauces: Parmesan Bechamel, Mushroom Gravy, Classic Marinara, Creamy Tomato, Smoky BBQ, Blue Cheese or Roast-Nut Pesto.

I choose CREAMY TOMATO.

Step 4 - Top it off! You can choose ONE classic topping for Free or add Php40.00 each for premium toppings, then add as many FREE toppings as you like.

Classic Toppings - Potato Crisps, Jalapenos, Fried Egg, Cheddar Cheese, Monterey Jack Cheese or Onion Rings. Additional Toppings for Php30.00 each.

Premium Toppings - Crispy Bacon Strips, Crumbled Blue Cheese, Shaved Grana Padano, Mozzarella, Chicharron & Pulled Pork.

Free Toppings - Crispy Garlic Slices, Pickled Veggies, Sliced Cucumber, Fresh Tomato, Grated Parmesan & Sauteed Onions.

I choose Fried Egg and all the Free Toppings.🍳

Although they were still in a soft opening the servers accommodated me well, they provide good service. Hoping that they will maintain the two thumbs up excellent service. 🍫🍦

Aside from that, after I finished my meatballs with creamy tomato pasta, they offer me Free Create Your Own Ice Cream Sandwich (Opening Promo)... Perfect for a sweet ending. Here's the two simple steps to have your own Ice Cream Sandwich for Php95.00:

Step 1 - Grab your Cookie: Butter, Gingersnap, Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter or Snickerdoodle.

I choose Butter Cookie.

Step 2 - Filled with Ice Cream: Brown Butter Sage, Calamansi, Spicy Cayenne, Caramel, Banana-Rum or Maple-Bacon.

I choose Caramel.

Definitely, I will going back again to try the other combinations, maybe Bread or Rice will do. Looking forward to try the Maple-Bacon Ice Cream too with Snickerdoodle Cookie. 🍯

I spy with my little eye... Yes,  i am looking at these amazing balls.   Ladies and gentleman,  let's all raise the roof for The Meatball Revolution.  

My weary feet brought me to Venice Piazza one Saturday afternoon to try dem meatballs.  The place is unassuming,  easy to miss truth be told.  I noticed the other joints beside it when i was circling my way around ze canal. 

There is not much to say about the interior.  Simple,  nothing fancy and forgettable.  

| Create your own Meatball.  This is not what the dish is called,  i made it up. Customers get to pick how what to add in their meatball meal.   Mine comprises of a baguette with a trifecta of meatball goodness (classic beef,  tofu x mushroom and smoky chicken),  drizzled with marinara sauce,  topped with sliced jalapeños,  crispy garlic, sautéed onions and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.  

This amazing balls were served on a wooden chopping board with some shredded potatoes on the side.  Frankly,  i was surprised with how huge the serving is.  I took my sweet time capturing the perfect photo.  Then i was dumbfounded,  how do you eat a meatball sandwich?  Use the knife and fork,  dummy!  That's my brain talking.  I sliced a portion and darn!  This babies are sooo good.  Full bodied,  flavorful and moist meatball.  The other components works in synchrony together.  Sweet notes from the onions,  a lil crunch from the garlic shreds,  the slight tang from the marinara,  a lil hint of spice from ze jalapeños.  Due to its enormity,  i managed to finish half and took the rest to go.

Service was quick.  The staff is always on their feet whenever there are patrons checking their menu outside.   You don't need to ask for water refills.   One thing i would like to comment on is the awful music they play.  I have no beef with popular music,  but the management should tailor fit the music with the overall theme of the resto.
