I Love Sarsa!! The best yung Isaw nila 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 You must also try their Kalabasa Chocolate balls for dessert. Super sarap 👍🏻
Sarsa Kitchen was introduced to us by local office colleague and we enjoyed everything we tried be it main course from Garlic Rice, Sisig, and dessert to compliment the findings. Halo Halo and Turon made the day.
Sisig was wonderfully cooked and finely chopped as it had to be. Loved the office lunch at this place.
Wish I could give an extra star for the lovely service and greetings.
If youre looking for Filipino dishes with a twist, Sarsa will definitely sets the bar high. Ive tried to eat in three of their branches (Makati, MOA and here in BGC) but BGC has the best service. Special mention to their very attentive and accommodating staffs and manager, Mark Ocon.
FOOD:
Spicy Isaw: THE BEST! Dont forget to use their special vinegar!
Kaldereta: flavorful but need to work out on the spiciness
Kare-kare: their special ginamos compliments it well. A definitely must try!
Liempo Pork Adobo: one of the trickiest dish they have. It really doesnt taste as the regular adobo but it was really good! Saltiness meets sweetness without umay factor.
Chicharon Bulaklak: this is new to their menu and expectation exceeded!
*they keep on innovating their menu so there is always a reason to go back and try out new dishes!
AMBIANCE:
All the branches are spacious. Always a pleasant experience here.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE:
Sarsa will be my familys go to Filipino food restaurant!
...as a native of Iloilo, i must say that Sarsa is the real deal. the flavors instantly bring me back to my roots and remind me of the old times growing up.. expect nothing less that great, take my word for it worth! the manager, Kuya Francis, adds a touch of class with his Ilonggo warmth and friendliness #sarsakitchen
I am always a fan of Sarsa. I enjoy all the food options that they have. This was my first time to order food via Zomato delivery. I ordered Chicken Paa, Isaw and Cansi. I was empressed on how the cansi was packaged neatly and they made sure it will not spill. The rice serving was good which I over ordered cause I imagined single serve cup rice. The Isaw is always my favorite, they were perfectly cooked and crunchy or 'tigi' the way we ilonggos like to call it. I was disappointed that they miss to include the sauces for the chicken (soy sauce, vinegar and chili). The meal did not feel complete without the sauces. And was sad that they also miss to add the chicken oil. I hope they will double check the orders before they leave the resto.
Husband and I were craving batchoy after a long roadtrip. Tried Sarsa's batchoy and it was superb! Food-for-the-soul type of food. Broth was delicious, and recados were just enough and the noodles were perfectly cooked. It arrived all in perfect temperature to our doorstep.
We have found our ultimate batchoy place.
We made reservations for 8 at dinner. Our request of fresh calamansi tea wasn't on the menu but was provided all throughout the meal. The Chicken Isaw and Crispy Dilis for apps were great, we had to make repeat orders for those. We had the Sinigang Fried Chicken - crispy, Kaldereta - tender, flavorful and yummy, and their Sinigang na Bangus Belly - love that the veggies weren't overcooked, for mains + rice. The staff and place were both good. Only downside was the lack of parking. Would come back again.
Been here a couple of times and everytime Sarsa does not disappoint. Everything in the inasal menu is authentic Ilonggo flavor... and the kansi!!! It surely brings me back to my province Negros Occidental. The lechon manok lumpia is yummy. One should try ginamos rice as well. [Ginamos is Visayan version of bagoong but it varies per province. In Negros, you'll see them sold as pinkish brown tinged blocks of salted shrimp paste so it's dry.] The sizzling bulalo with batwan gravy is also a must-try [Batwan fruit is a common souring ingredient of any Ilonggo cook.]
With Chef JP Anglo consistently innovating and adding twist to famous Ilonggo dishes, it's no wonder people just keep coming back. Namit gid ya!!! 👍👍👍😍
Looking for a place to have my dinner before proceeding to an event and I chose The Forum because it has ample parking at the back of the building. Sarsa Kitchen + Bar was the only Pinoy resto.
The staff were welcoming and accommodating.. I browsed the menu and I ordered Inasal Pa-a (Php185.00), Liempo Pork Adobo (Php320.00), Steamed White Rice (Php32.00), House Blend Iced Tea (Php65.00) and Sago’t Gulaman (Php75.00).
The Inasal doesn’t look visually enticing but it was far more delicious than the popular ones. The Adobong Liempo was also delicious but with “umay” factor, but still I enjoyed my dinner. Looking forward to try their desserts “tam-is”...
Their Inasal brought me back to to Bacolod! It's really really good even without the condiment. The Kare-kare plus the ginanos is a win but the beef could've been softer. I didn't quite get the taste the taste of the Twice-cooked Pork Belly but it's not bad.
Tastes like home. Sarsa is our go to place when we miss our hometown Bacolod, because of its food choices and its Negros vibe.
Likes: We usually order Pork Sisig (it has crunchy texture), Grilled Squid (perfectly grilled paired with sauces), Crispy pata (crunchy skin and soft meat), Chicken Inasal, Kansi Steak, and Batchoy. All of them taste good and fresh, no complaints. Two thumbs up for the ambiance, comfort room is clean, and it has friendly and well trained staff.
Dislikes: What I didn't like was their Kansi because the meat served to us was not that soft. I expected a beef shank with some fatty part of the beef that we call "Kantaw" in Bacolod, but the broth was ok. I like that they use Batuan in it. Kare-kare was ok but I think it lacked peanut taste.
Price: It's a little pricey to dine here but with quality of food and great service makes it worth it. This is a must try.
Suggestions: I wish it has addition choices of beers, improve my favorite dishes Kansi (softer beef) and Kare-Kare (have more peanut taste).
I tried their Batchoy Ramen today and it tastes so wonderful!!! Sarap talaga. Di nakakaumay di tulad ng ibang mas mahal na japanese ramen! The chiken inasal and liempo ala karekare is just ok. Negative comment is that the place is uncomfortably humid. But i wil visit again to try their other dishes and.hopefully the place will be cooler by then.
“This is the best restaurant we’ve been to, so far” as per my boyfriend. I’ve never seen him so happy eating; Sizzling kansi is superb and their good customer service is also a plus. Would definitely eat there again!

Sarsa's new offering is quite contrasting as they launched Hot Pinoy Ramen and Cold Ice Desserts. As you may have known Sarsa is a Filipino Restaurant that always made a twist out of your the popular dishes. So the addition of these hot and cold mix will definitely make it hard for you fo choose what to eat.
So here are the dishes that we tried:
Seafood Gata Batchoy - I liked the kick of gata on the usual Batchoy broth. I maybe biased because it's Gata but among the 3 this is the one I liked the most . It has the right seafood toppings. And the Lapu Lapu Fish Cake is so tasty. 😍😍😍
Batchoy Ramen - the grilled toppings definitely enhanced the Batchoy Flavor. I liked the broth's subtle taste. Of course the toppings they put in it are very generous. 😍
Spicy Batchoy - They added Sarsa's very own chili paste on this Batchoy which gives it a spicy kick. I liked this one versus the original Batchoy because I love Spicy food. 😍😍
So after those yummy noodles, the ice desserts were served.
Sarsa Halo Halo - this is one creamy and tasty. Indulge with Negrense Flavors. 😁
Mango Vanilla Con Hielo - you can find different versions of mango here. It has dried mango and real mango. One thing we noticed is that the real mango is not that sweet. It happens when you're using fresh ingredients.
Buko Pandan Con Hielo - buko pandan pairing is still a thing with this dessert. The simplicity of this dessert will make you want to find something extraordinary.
Overall my dining experience with Sarsa is fine. I loved how Chef JP is so passionate about cooking and brought with us this nice experience of a Negrense Bistro. The new menu will certainly attracts food lovers. 😊

This place is perfect for a large group since dishes are served in large proportions. Also, service is excellent.
I recommend their pork sisig and gising gising!

Loved the ambiance and the food. Lechon Kawali was awesome... not hot about the chocolate sauce though (definitely need to develop an aquired taste for that). Loved the Fried Dilis. Would've been a 5 if the waiters were more chipper and service-oriented.

Everything we ordered here is a winner! From their Lechon Kawali , to their Kare Kare. The Kansi noodles is a must try!
I must say I’m not a fan of the the tsokolate sauce (chocolate sauce with cayenne pepper)—yet!— that went with the Lechon Kawali but I guess it must be an acquired taste.
Try Sarsa branches for any Filipino food fix craving. They infused a twist to the regular meals across the country (from North’s Pinakbet to South’s Kansi). We went here on a holiday, and the staff seems to be on holiday also (not so attentive, but understandable). Hence, no impact on the rating :)
Gujab!
This restaurant is owned by Chef Anglo, and you can really taste the authenticity of Filipino cuisine on the food they serve, although the place is kinda small, and it is fully packed during lunch or dinner time. But it's still worth a try, you'll never regret it.
My 2nd time visit. I like the ambiance of this restaurant. Staffs are friendly and very accommodating. Food are tasty but pricey with small servings of food.
Great Service! We had a reservation for 30 pax. Thank you to Robert for taking care of our inquiry and our reservation. Everything went well, from the reservation up to when every dish was served and eaten. Every dish served made our guests happy and we all went home with happy tummies. We ordered - inasal tofu, palabok, special batchoy, adobo, sizzling kansi, and pinakbet.
Sarsá is definitely the GO TO place if you want to introduce Filipino food to foreigners. The way they cook and present the food is so superb. This is the third time that I'm eating here and I have to say the service was consistently up all the time. The ambience is also very nice for chatting. Flavor of their food is excellent.
Cleanliness : Okay but ensure utensils / plates are clean and dry before putting them on the table
Ambience : 2_Thumbs up!
Price : Affordable
Food : So far so good !
Serving : Good for light eaters :p
Service : It's alright but can be improved
WiFi : None, and this is good so people can focus on their time eating together :)
Overall, it's a place to go and eat Filipino food with a slight twist . I am not sure if it's authentic but I like that they have Turon as it's one of my favorite Filipino dessert . I also like their sizzling Tofu and because the 'sauce' is yummy ,I think it'll be my next favorite sizzling Tofu dish next to Max's :) Keep up the good food and your good work :)
Discovered this place when we got tired of the usual dining spots at BGC High Street, Market Market and Aura. Found at BGC Forum, your family and friends will surely love to dine here. They serve great Filipino dishes with a twist. You'll definitely love the mix of flavors with every bite. The resto is nice and the staff are very accommodating. Will surely drop by again once I get the chance.
Will just have a no fuzz straight review for this.
Negrense or Bacolod food done differently and excellently.
My favorite branch tho my first time to review it here.
Ordered my favorites the crispy isaw and lumpia inasal, had to skip another favorite the sizzling kansi to try the beef rendang. Ordered the kalabasa chocolate balls for dessert.
Lumpia and isaw still great will be my staple whenever I will visit Sarsa. Lumpia inasal is a profusion of textures and tastes ,chicken inasal, chicharon, sisig, lumpia and soft taco all merged in a dish, nice aioli sauce to compliment with it tho I like it with sinamak for a more Pinoy experience. Isaw as an Asian street food enthusiast ,Sarsa's version is a great representative for the Philippines in the Southeast Asian region.
The beef rendang rendition is one of the best in Southeast Asia, tender and moist beef in a very flavorful coconut milk sauce, more rice please.😁😂😀🍴
I ordered the kalabasa chocolate balls because I'm a bit curious on how they've executed it I'm not a fan of chocolate based desserts but this one is an exception. Pumpkin croquette balls filled with chocolate served with coconut milk sauce.European styled dessert made into a Pinoy gem.
Food still very ,very good.
Ambiance and food presentation thumbs up love the way they served the rice parang tanghalian o hapunan lang sa bahay.
Price reasonable
Staff very good, thanks to the small lady staff who have introduced to me the Kalabasa choco balls.
Overall NAMIT!
Had a craving for a good Pinoy meal and I must say, I wasn't disappointed. If you're looking for a yummy Negrense food around the area, this is definitely the place to go. Excellent service, too! 💯
Quite expensive for its category but what I like about this branch in Forum in BGC is the chill ambience -- not too many people flock here.
My fave dish is their chicharon bulaklak dinuguan, or "pork blood stew with deep-fried pork mesentery" as they call it. Haha!

Food is 5/5, especially the bachoy, chicken inasal. Service is 5/5. Ambiance is 5/5. We held my son's baptism reception there and they're very professional
We brought tourists here to try out some classic Filipino flavors with a twist. I had high expectations as it seemed well-reviewed so we ordered a handful of items. For something with this price point, I expected the servings to be bigger. They were all disappointingly tiny! Also, the flavors weren't that mindblowing but I particularly enjoyed their adobo. I liked how it wasn't too saucy and crunchy in all the right places. The chicken inasal sisig wasn't bad too.
Whenever our Canadian consultants visit us, we usually go out either for lunch or dinner with them. Despite always being here yearly, we still always bring them to Filipino restaurants because Pinoy food iz ze best! :)
For this year's visit, we decided to bring them to SARSA. Called days before since we are a big group (32 pax). They accommodated our group but the process was kind of hassle since the staffs weren't that easy to talk with. Plus they weren't that nice and helpful. :( And we were surprised when they informed us that we can't order in advance. So we had to come earlier just to order. Oh well. We went to the restaurant 30 minutes early just so our orders will be ready once the team is complete.
We ordered the following for the whole team:
Inasal Sisig
Sizzling Kansi
Lechon Manok Pancit Canton
Tortang Talong
Rice
Started the feast with a warm serving of plain Batchoy soup. The soup was just okay. It was kind of sweet and oily? :(
Then after after a while, our orders were served.
First was the LECHON MANOK PANCIT CANTON. At first, we all thought that this is just like our pancit canton but not really, the noodle is the same but the toppings and the overall taste is a bit different. They used lechon manok, egg, corniks? and the usual vegetables - carrots and cabbage. This was good but I still prefer the usual pancit canton with lots of veggies or the birthday noodles with the orange quail eggs.
Next was the SIZZLING KANSI. Tender beef plus beef marrow served in a sizzling plate. SINFULLY GOOD! Hands down the best Sarsa dish! Must try! My boss loved this one.
And then the INASAL SISIG. Not a fan of sisig but Sarsa's Inasal Sisig was so good! It was super tasty and I love that the serving size was generous. It was already good and yummy on it own but with the egg, calamansi and hot sauce added, it was so much better. I enjoyed eating this a lot!.
The TORTANG TALONG was just okay. I wouldn't order this again. The breading was too thick. I still prefer the ones my mom or aunt prepares.
For my drink, I tried the Guyabano + Buko Shake. All I could taste was the Buko. No trace of guyabano at all. Sayang! :(
Overall, we still enjoyed our dinner. Must must order the Sizzling Kansi and the Inasal Sisig! The Tuna Sisig's good too. ;)
Great Food! Very helpful staff, and really nice atmosphere!
I've been craving the Inasal Lumpia's ever since I left. They are the best I've had here.
Did I like it?
Yes. My boyfriend and I ordered Inasal sisig, Sizzling tofu 3 ways, Garlic rice, Sago't gulaman, and Calamansi Juice. Even though the viands were a bit on the salty side, both were still delicious and we couldn't stop eating! Haha. I loved the ambiance of the place plus the staff were friendly and accomodating.
Is it affordable?
It's affordable. Our total bill was 1,130, it already includes the service charge so I guess that's priced okay.
Will I come back?
Yes! I still have a lot to try from the menu :)
Im not actually a fan of filipino cuisines (because im choosy with foods) but when i tasted their chicken barbeque, it was one of the best i've tasted! The sauce is very different from the typical barbeque. My boyfriend ordered kare-kare. I never tried this food since im so picky but when he forced me to taste it, im now ready to eat more kare-kare in my future. LOL. The staffs are also friendly and attentive to the customers. This restaurant is so accommodating! I will definitely go back here!
Twice cooked pork belly,Bihon guisado inasal sisig and ginamos fried rice a total of 733 pesos , good for 3 persons. It was a tasty lunch because of the negrense touch on its recipes. The bagoong (ginamos) fried rice complimented the flavor of the pork belly thats tasted like care-care. Their meat was tender, freshly cooked and the original flavor really went all the way from start to finish. The place was not crowded, it has enough space to breath in and at the same time sepia lightings (like a typical dining room light). The service was prompt and on time based on the estimate they have promised us. Only that it cost us service charge approximately 10% of the viands we ordered. It was our first time there, and might as well not the last. Great resto. You should come and visit!
Romeo Joaquin Desiderio
My go to place if im craving a local dish. This resto brings out the best on filipino heritage dishes. We ordered sizzling kansi, chicken bbq and inasal sisig. Sizzling kansi is top notch with a standalone bone marrow perfect with the kansi sauce. Chicken barbeque is grilled to perfection and the sisig was smoothly spicy and salty, liver was cooked perfect. Service was fast and staffs are friendly.

🐽 Food: We ordered isaw, sizzling kansi, pancit palabok and inasal with garlic rice. Everything was very delicious! Missed eating Filipino food.
🍹 Drinks: They serve beer that can compliment your meals.
🍴Ambiance: Spacious and good for a big group.
👫 Service: Servers were attentive. Food was served on time too.
💸 Price: We paid P1,500 for 3 people and that amount of food serving with beers. You won't get disappointed.
I loove Sarsa almost as much as I love Kanin Club. Almost. I love their Kare Kare and munggo. I know it's not the best pair but what the heck, I love it. The staff is very friendly.
First time here and it didn't disappoint! All our orders were flavorful and delivered on time. Try pancit palabok, tofu, inasal wraps and my fave chicken binakol when you go here. Place is spacious and well-lighted.
Sarsa? Sauce? Filipino food? Perfect!
I read lots of good reviews about Sarsa. Luckily, we spotted a good deal via Deal Grocer and decided to go for it. Since we will be using the voucher to purchase our food, we had to make reservations. The place was okay, not too small and not too big. It was actually more ideal for families and barkadas rather than couples.
There were not a lot of people the time we went there, maybe because it was a weekday and we were there quite early (around 6-ish). The waiters were also okay, they were friendly but not too attentive. I remembered having to call them 3 times just to ask for water but anyway, we weren't too hungry that time so it wasn't a big issue.
Sarsa's menu was quite cool for me. The first page contained the definition of Sarsa, the next page contained the glossary/definition/description of the not-so common terms used on their menu. It was also with Sarsa that I first encountered the word BATWAN. It was a very mysterious terminology! Anyway, we ordered their sizzling Kansi (Sizzling Bulalo in Batwan Gravy - P350), Sarsa Regular Batchoy (P170), Tortang Talong with Crispy Sardines&Kesong Puti (P165) and Leche del Cielo (P80) for dessert.
SIZZLING KANSI ‼️‼️
The Sizzling Kansi was the highlight of my night. It stood out probably because I like anything that's sour (sinigang, sinampalukan, etc) and this dish was perfect! It was just a bit oily and masebo but it was still worth it!
SARSA REGULAR BATCHOY ❕
This is the least that I liked. It was kind of too sweet for my liking and the soup was not that hot when they served it.
TORTANG TALONG WITH CRISPY SARDINES AND KESONG PUTI ‼️
The Tortang Talong was okay, it tasted like normal tortang talong with just a hint of sardines and kesong puti. I imagined it to have a one-of-a-kind taste but I guess I expected too much. We asked for ketchup to make the dish taste better but we got disappointed. They have their own version of ketchup that didn't go well with the Tortang Talong. If it was just the regular banana ketchup, it could've been better and complemented the dish.
LECHE DEL CIELO ‼️
It was leche flan with a weird taste. I forgot what made it special/weird (for me) than the other leche flans but I didn't really like it. I think it was infused with Pandan or something, the texture wasn't really that good. But anyway, we ordered it out of curiousity and because we still had P80 to spend. Even if I didn't enjoy it that much, I don't regret trying it! It's not everyday that you get to try a different kind of leche flan 128541
ISAW ‼️
Their isaw is twice the size of the regular isaw we can buy from the streets. It was good but I still prefer the ones we can get from the street.

I keep coming back to this restaurant again and again, I really love the food here,I’ve eaten at the branches in the Fort and the one at Mall of Asia. It’s by Chef JP Anglo and serves Filipino and Negrense Food with a contemporary twist .Always consistently good, the ambience is very relaxed and simple. I always start out with their Crispy Dilis, its crunchy and not hard, it has a sweet chili pineapple glaze. It’s an appetizer but my husband likes to eat this with rice. Their sizzling kansi (bulalo on a hot plate) is my absolute favourite. Has a special gravy sauce. Sometimes I switch it up a bit and order Kansi(Bulalo Soup) which is good for two. Ofcourse you can’t go wrong with their Inasal. Very tasty. For dessert their mango jubilee and their Crispy buko pie ala mode are my favourite. I’ve also tried the crispy tilapia with mango salsa and XO sauce and their pinakbet. But the first three dishes are the staples everytime we visit. Service is ok, although at their MOA branch, they need to improve their service. You have to follow up with the waiters a lot for your orders, has happened twice already.
Sarsa has been creating a lot of buzz in the foodie universe. The chef/owner JP Anglo is sort of famous and has a lot of elite celebrity friends.
I'll be honest, i wasn't too keen on trying Sarsa. In my opinion, the bigger the hype, the bigger the disappointment.
This is one of the gambles that paid off. They offer hearty and affordable meals. I've dined at Sarsa twice and on both occasions, no disappointments, just a happy tummy.
I had early dinner with my band of misfits here a couple of months back. 15 individuals with a common goal - eat to our hearts content. We ordered a lot, if my memory serves me right - we had fish, fowl, pork, veggies and noodles (two of each)
Crispy Pata. The quintessential artery-clogging, deep-fried comfort food. There is something mystical about deep fried food, it makes you eat more rice! No one can resist the crispy skin laced with meat and fat doused in sweet and spicy soy sauce.
Tortang Talong with Crispy Sardines and Kesong Puti. One of all time favourite dishes. This deep-fried baby is the best tortang talong in my book. The texture reminds me of a pancake - fluffy not soggy. You can even ask kids to eat this. They will not taste any trace of eggplant.
Isaw. This one is mediocre. I sort of prefer the skewered chicken intestine sold on the streets. I know it's not leaning towards healthy but we all have our guilty pleasures.
This dish goes by different names in different regions. Some call it Bulanglang, but popular culture aptly calls it Pinakbet. I like almost all of the elements of this dish except for Okra (this is one veggie i refuse to eat). Sarsa's pinakbet is sumptous, the veggies are cooked well. A spoonful of crab fat for a lil intensity, crispy tofu and dilis for crunch. And oh, the squash is not overcooked! This is one of my prerequisites of a good pinakbet. If you can't give justice to this classic veggie dish, then you ought to rethink your life choices.
Chicken Pork and Chicken Adobo Flakes. I wasn't too crazy about the deconstructed CPA. Taste wise it is good, it's just that i am not a fan of food that resembles sawdust.
Sizzling Kansi. Their version of Bacolod's delicacy. One of those dishes that you can only eat once a year. The richness of the marrow is synonymous to high cholesterol levels. This is the second time i tried a bone marrow dish (first time was at Cue). Cooking the marrow sizzling style is a lil bit over the top for me.
Piaya Ice Cream Sandwich A desert made of a classic snack in Iloilo. This is a smart dessert. Think of an ice cream sandwich but instead of using conventional elements, Sarsa used crispy piaya. The crunch of the latter compliments the creamy texture of the ice cream. And oh, this baby is drizzled with a rich brown sauce. Im guessing a modern take on arnibal with sublte hints of salt.
Sarsa is one of the few restaurants that is more than just the hype. They offer innovative dishes that will wow every Juan Dela Cruz.
A friend said they offer great dishes because of famous chef. Well.. well.. well... I ordered the pinakbet which is not much and my friend got the tuna sisig. Another friend ordered their famous belly/liempo with chocolate dip (sounds yummy).. The pork is ok and hard to chew along with the pinakbet (sitaw, okra, ampalaya). I just feel that it is overpriced. The ambiance and service is worth paying I guess. For three people, we spent 1500.
Ever since I tried Sarsa, I would like to know more about Bacolod dishes because their dishes are so Pinoy but not your usual. Kansi soup is like sinigang and bulalo in one. Very flavorful and is your rainy day meal. Haven't tried the sizzling Kansi though. Twice cooked pork belly is crunchy and yummy and the sauce is great. The tuna sisig is also a must try.
Their servers are very efficient. They can always see what is missing in your table. I haven't counted the water refills I got!
For our endless monthsaries, we've tried sarsa for their sizzling bulalo. First time I've tried a sizzling bulalo, hindi kami nabigo. Plus my fave laing with its unique taste. People are accommodating, place is simple yet relaxing.
Anothee order of Isaw! Thats what youll hear me saw more often than not whe Im at Sarsa. Though thats the only dish Ive consistently liked in their branches. Soulful and Sinful, this dish can be both appetizer and ulam. Its fried to perfection and has a balanced saltiness to it.

I ate here with clients from NZ as they heard the beef is good here. True enough, all that we ordered are good. We tried sizzling kansi, pinaputok na tilapia and sisig. They all tasted good except that for the sizzling kansi, we were expecting to see somthing different. And for dessert, we tried their pinoy flavored ice cream - ube and langka. Both yummy!❤️
Ambiance was great altho when we met there, the place was kinda crowded so it was a challenge to discuss their wedding plans. But I would definitely go back to try their other dishes. ☺️
My sister is coming home from Dubai and she wanted some Filipino food so we tried Sarsa. Selection of food is limited but surprisingly delicious. I especially liked the Twice-cooked pork belly and Tortang talong with sardines and kesong puti. The servings are good for sharing and we literally left the table with no leftovers. Staff were also very accomodating. Ambiance is cozy and ideal for family gatherings. Price is affordable and worth it. For me,this is one of the places you can bring a family member or friend who wants to try something new.

We frequently pass by the area where this resto is and have expressed our desire to dine a few times before. The brilliant idea to finally give it fruition came on a Saturday where we craved something new to eat. Since we haven't dined in a Pinoy-inspired resto in quite a while, we pursued dining here. The nice, clean interior was quite welcoming and immediately made a good impression. The menu was peppered with unusual sounding dishes, which is another plus. We checked out the Twice-Cooked Pork Belly (Php325), a serving good for 2-3 by our estimate. The boyfie had the first bite and I asked him how it was but did not answer. He waited for me to experience the initial rush of delight when I tasted it. Wow!! Good thing we ordered 2 servings of rice for this one. An absolutely divine meal. This is just my second 5-star rating ever. Patting a wonderful crew for being attentive as you should at the minimum. Can't wait to try your other dishes.
Food is good, being an ilongga it feels like your eating at home with your lola's food. I just observed something tricky about their Isaw, it prepared in a way that it looks full in a stick but if you used to it this you will know that it was cutted in half so it look like its a full intestine on a stick. Serving is smaller than other resto. Batchoy was full of soup and not "rekados". 3x priced compare to eating in the La Paz market were you can also
choose to have the "utak" or bone marrow on it. Some other dishes are unique so overall it's worth trying but to come back again and again hmmm.. nop
I was quite sad when I've heard that our group was having dinner at Sarsa. Being a bagoong "hater", I was scared knowing that most of their dishes have bagoong. We've ordered the sizzling bulalo, gising gising, bagoong rice and pinakbet. It was actually not that bad. For me, despite the bagoong, the dishes were okay and were tasty and I guess must be a must try especially for the bagoong lovers out there!
Finally got to eat at sarsa kitchen after a morning meeting and on the way back to work. Some of my friends talk highly about it and I finally got to try it. Service and the place is great. Service is quite efficient and the y serve the food very quickly to accommodate more people.
Their speciality is the sizzling kansi which is supposed to be sizzling bulalo. unfortunately , they informed us that they don’t have the bulalo bone anymore. We still gave it a try because it is their speciality but I wasn’t too impressed with what was served. The meat was tender but I guess the bulalo served bone in would be more impressive.
The twice cooked liempo was quite good and pretty much saved the meal. The chicken inasal sisig was too salty.
I don’t think they put anything new to the already tightly packed filipino cuisine industry in the philippines. I know this is not a popular opinion but for me the dishes were nicely served but just the normal filipino dishes. No twist or anything. At least they can market themselves as a solid place to get good filipino comfort food, I guess.
Such a unique restaurant. I went with two of my foreign friends from Germany wanting to try authentic Filipino food and it did not disappoint. We ordered the chicken and pork adobo flakes, inasal chicken, isaw, tortang talong and the sinigang fried chicken. No longs lines when we went so it was a relief.
Chicken and Pork Adobo Flakes was okay. Nothing really special or unique about it but it wasn't bad!
I really liked the tortang talong though, as opposed to other reviews here. It was crispy on the outside and had this very unique taste.
Sinigang na fried chicken was unique. Crispy and I can actually taste the "sinigang".
The isaw was a disappointment though. It didn't taste like the isaw I'm used too. It was also "makunat" lol.
But overall, the service was great, food was good. Would go back again.
Good Filipino food! I love their kare-kare and tortang talong (i am not a fan of tortang talong) and calamares 😍. The place is very cozy. Nice to try.
Authentic Ilonggo Cuisine! This is one of my favorite Filipino Restaurant. I always bring my friends from abroad here. Their Isaw is great although a bit pricey! Batchoy is like Ramen version of PH, must try! Their staffs are very accommodating all the time! And the popular chef owner will not have second thought to take a photo with you!
Finally we went to this book marked resto in BGC. Very spacious and bright resto.
Started off with an excellent Calamansi juice and a good strawberry banana shake.
The kansi bulalo that came next was very good and worth the price. Good combo of bulalo with sinigang taste and tender beef pieces plus a serving of bone marrow.
The lechon manok pancit canton had a nice 'home-made' feel to it. Moist and perfect!
The tortang talong was a bit thin and dry. We didn't enjoy this dish much.
For dessert we had the Leche del Cielo - the lemongrass citrus syrup is a nice twist -making it not so sweet.
We waited to be seated for almost an hour, but we think it was worth it. There were three of us and we ordered crispy chicken and pork flakes, sizzling kansi, and tortang talong with crispy sardines, with 4 rice (it could have fit 5 cups actually), but we were full.
The sizzling kansi is delicious, as they said. Though it has to be mixed with rice. Otherwise, guilt over eating this kind of food takes over. (The marrow was whole and semi-solid, we mixed it with the meatier parts.)
The crispy pork and chicken flakes was also good. It comes with a sauce and bagoong, though it could be eaten even without the sauce.
The tortang talong was a little disappointing because we cannot taste the crispy sardines (or dilis?). It comes also with two sauces, vinegar-like and catsup-hot sauce-like.
We were very hungry, and we don't have pictures. But my companions liked it so I guess we'll be back to try their other specialties.
As they suggested, reservation is recommended because the place is usually full, even with pending reservations. (We went there on a Wednesday night.) I tried calling up their cellphone (listed here) but their number changed to 09175260756 or try their landline instead.
Update (5.18.2016)
We ordered the batchoy special, roasted kalabasa, and crispy tadyang.
The batchoy soup was excellent, where we can already taste the chicharon in the soup. Considering that we are not fans of liver or atay, it was part of the batchoy and it didn't taste much at all. Unfortunately, we think that if the chicharon stayed too long the soup can be too salty.
The roasted kalabasa was from somewhere I've read, but it wasn't anything extraordinary for me. I cannot taste the difference that it was roasted at all.
The crispy tadyang was well, I guess some were crispy. But it wasn't anything memorable either.
My friend and I are seeking the best kansi, and KBL (kadios-baboy-langka) in town so our quest took us to Sarsa BGC on a Sunday. To be sure, their Kansi soup -- the broth itself -- is all kinds of yummy! It will make you automatically reach for 'bandehado' of rice as a perfect complement to that sour beef broth. The issue is the beef and bone -- yes, it is tender, and the bone all ready for marrow harvest -- but it's too lean! No fat at all, and the bone marrow portion is scant! I don't believe for a moment that the kansi is good for two, as specified on the menu. Just for one, babe.
Having said that, let me draw your attention to one of their desserts/tam-is which is Piaya with Ice Cream (we got the cheese flavor) drizzled with salted caramel sauce. All of that together is perfection! It doesn't have a come-hither look, but it is an ace invention!
Namit, ging!
Sizzling Bulalo to the next level!
It was a take out (i am currently disabled), so a friend had to get the food for me. Boy, it did not disappoint.
I've been meaning to try Sarsa Kitchen and Bar for sometime now and I'm still baffled as to why it took me a while to be able to check it out once and for all. There was too much hype about it during its early months of operation and the long queues or waiting time might have put me off a bit. But when I was thinking of where to take a friend of my sister and I from the US (who's visiting the Philippines for the first time) for dinner, I don't know why, but for some reason I immediately thought of Sarsa.
Sarsa Kitchen+Bar is known for delectable contemporary Filipino and Negrense cuisine.
Let's start with batchoy, the serving is big and the broth is sweet. The noodles were firm and generous, it was really good. But what I'd recommend is the Sisig Kansi. Kansi is one of my favorite Filipino dishes and it was truly fascinating for me to see and taste it in a different way. I mean who would have thought it would be great as a sisig?
My other favorite, which unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish because everyone had gone out already was the Piaya Ice Cream. That’s right, some genius thought of using piaya to sandwich ice cream, and what he created has got to be one of best desserts I’ve ever had in my life. There are three flavors, ube, cheese, and vanilla. I was so ready to finish the cheese piaya but as I said, people have already left me behind.
As with their skewered food, try the chicken skin. It was amazing. Don't forget their their chicken inasal, it was also delicious.

The first time I saw Sarsa at SM MOA; I became interested with their menu as it felt very familiar! The dishes there reminded me of my childhood.
Sarsa would mean sauce; and that would be the concept of Sarsa Kitchen. Taking in traditional sauces from different places in the Philippines and adding their own twist to have their own unique yet familiar offerings.
ahhh Sizzling Kansi :)
Lechon Kawali is a proverbial favorite. It is clearly identifiably Filipino.
The crisp of its skin tends to send signals in our system that something delicious is happening. Lechon Kawali with Batwan Tsokolate and Pinakurat from @sarsakitchen brings this dish to a whole new level.
And what level is that? The level that the rest of lechon kawali can kiss themselves goodbye. The flavor of the Lechon Kawali itself is already satisfying to a whole new degree. Now, try that with Batwan Tsokolate. The first bite illustrated a fraction of the world with no chaos and war.
It pacifies the rage in my heart and reminds me that the world is still beautiful.
After the last bite, and the taste remains, I am reminded of something else: what that was I have to remember. The taste still lingers.
A great place to have Filipino food with a twist. I must say they're not your ordinary dishes.
Had Isaw (which I rarely eat due to the after taste), Kare Kare and Gising Gising. The first was to die for, though a bit pricey. 150 pesos for 3 sticks. Kare kare was delish with the bagooooong! And the gising gising had a spicy twist (which again is not my thing, but I surprisingly liked).
I also loved the strawberry banana smoothie that tastes like strawberries wild of Jamba. 😁
Shall dine again with my family who loves Filipino food! 👌🏼

Filipino hipster food with a twist, that is Sarsa in a phrase. The vibe is young, the serving portions are generous and impeccable flavor. They have created kitchen masterpieces and my favorite being the Kansi Bulalo - a house special and MUST ORDER. Kansi is the Visayan version of Bulalo and Sarsa tweaked it pouring in a flavorful gravy sauce.
If you are a bit adventurous and not particular with your diet, I would highly recommend the Chicharon Bulaklak Dinuguan. This dish has a great combination of pork blood thickness, saltiness and sourness embellished with the crispy Chicharon bulaklak. Extra rice please!
Best isaw in the Metro! Especially when dipped in the vinegar. Note to self: Don't order the gising-gising again, it's not that impressive.
One of my go to Filipino restaurants. I love their simple Filipino dishes but made more special. I like their inasal chicken and their isaw which is a bit crunchy and goes well with vinegar dip.
Loved this restau! Everything was good! Too bad i was not able to take a photo of all the food we ordered since we were all dead hungry. But all in all this restaurant didn't fail us and our hungry tummies.
We had:
Pritchon Pancake
Sinigang Fried Chicken
Kansi (for Sabaw)
Sizzling Kansi
Crispy Pork and Chicken Adobo Flakes
Tuna Sisig
Monggo-nisa
Loved their House blended Iced Tea as well!👍
Wanted to try this resto for quite sometime now and I had a chance to with my family. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try their famous Sizzling Kansi because they ran out of bone marrow! I was satisfied with our orders, nonetheless...
Lechon Manok Lumpia - love this one! It's a different twist to your usual Lumpia.
Bugtaw-Bugtaw - their version of Gising Gising. I've had better. It's too "soup-y" for me, compared to the usual coconut milk.
Crispy Tilapia - love the salsa that goes with it! The tilapia tastes like... Tilapia. 😁 Very crunchy, you can even eat the bones!
Tuna Sisig - Must-try! I've had this dish in other restos before and I love their version. The tuna chicharon got me!
Sinigang Fried Chicken - it's a chicken sinigang that they fried. Tastes quite good. It comes with its own dipping sauce but you can do without it. For the price, it's good to try once, then go figure how to do it at home.
For the drinks, we tried Calamansi Juice - too sweet, you might want to add more calamansi, and Green Mango Shake - sour! You could really tell that it was a green mango that they put in there.
Overall, the food was great. What I didn't like was the place itself. There were 2 big flies (bangaw) that were circling our table, and we were sitting inside. The toilet is uncared for. The soap dispenser is either not working or they ran out of soap but didn't refill, and it doesn't smell good.
I love the Kansi Bulalo here! Superb. :) very tasty food and good value for money as well. The place is always full, no wonder because the Filipino food they serve is somehow with a twist. 😊
Sizzling Kansi! :) The beef flavors: savory, a hint of sour and salty - actually I can't deconstruct the individual flavors so let's just say that the dish is inexplicably delicious. This dish, together with the Gising-gising, makes for a perfect lunch tandem. Would be back for sure. :)
What really tempted us to try this out is because of its lechon kawali. They have generous servings plus favorite pinoy viands. Best place to indulge on putok-batok cravings. :)
Me and boyfie came here for Lunch and tried the very well rated Sizzling Kansi and ofcourse not to miss on a Bacolodian menu is the Special Lapaz Bachoy, the latter tasted really salty which didnt satisfy our craving for it. The Kansi was indeed good and we enjoyed it. Price is right, ambiance is okay and we will go back to try other dishes. 👍🏻👌🏻😋
Accidentally saw this here in zomato earlier this year. Then I also tried MOA branch and fell in love with it. I love how they manage to maintain the good pinoy dishes by putting a little bit of extra twist. Serving size and price is just about right for 2 people. I will definitely come back again and again.
Highly recommended
1. Kare kare
2. Thin cut liempo
3. Pinakbet - sweet yet so delicious
4. Sizzling kansi (bulalo)
Yes. The sizzling kansi was heavenly. I still have pleasant dreams about it. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I don't think there's really any item on the menu that you can go wrong with: sisig was good, la paz batchoy was tasty, the deconsturcted kare kare dish was super, the pancit had chichacorn which was a crunchy surprise.
Definitely a resto to keep going back to.
I had extremely high expectations for this place due to all the positive reviews on here. We ordered the Sizzling Kansi (sizzling bulalo) and the Crispy Hito. I wasn't disappointed because the food was bad; I guess it had more to do with preference, hence the (still) high rating. I didn't expect the dishes to taste like how they did. Both dishes had a lot of sourness to them, and I'm not a fan of anything sour at all (well except for sinigang). I can imagine a person with a different palate enjoying them though. I tried to like it (mostly because I was paying for it and I didn't want the food to go to waste), but it's just not for me. But despite my terrible choice of orders, I gotta say service was excellent. The waitstaff were very attentive and polite. I loved the overall look and vibe of the restaurant. 😊
Had the best Kare-kare here! The food is really good and worth the price tag. Will definitely come back here to try other dishes. #happytummy
Another Filipino cuisine ..which promote our local foods to the tourist who comes by. This is something new in regards in the ambiance .. Lay back and intimate. I personally like and enjoy their chicken intestine (isaw) roasted kalabasa with dilis and that of sinigang na fried chicken. My fried rice ginamos is my other half. So good that I asked for another batch. Price is reasonably fair. No negative air. Pure good awesome foods. Including that of our own version of street foods. You really make me proud of being a Filipino . just by cooking and presenting our local dish with a twist. . good job.
Been wanting to try this place but whenever we get a chance to go to The Forum, this resto usually has a queue outside. So with this, making a reservation is a must!
Had dinner here last night & used DG groupon. This made our meal a steal!
Since we're only 2, we only got the Pritchon Pancake & Sizzling Kansi (plus plain rice & mango-melon shake).
I like the fact that the server paid attention to us from start to finish. She even pointed out which shakes were made fresh & which were from concentrates. The place looks really simple & neat. I just find it hard reading the blackboard that had the new stuff in their menu. I think it needs better lighting for people to read all the details.
We liked the pritchon pancakes. The pork skin was crispy. The whole thing does match the hoisin dip. The sizzling kansi was also good. Based on other reviews, it's the best seller so we had to try it and it did not disappoint. The beef was tender & we liked the sauce as well. I think it was good that we only got plain rice for us to really taste the viand.
Price is ok for the quality of food, the place & the service. Others might find it pricey, though. I would suggest a budget of at least 1000 for 2 persons.
I highly recommend their Pancit Canton with crunchy bits of cornik, Gising gising (the gata is different from the other filipino restaurants I've already tried) and Chicken Inasal that really tastes like the inasal we ate in Bacolod. I can say that all that we ordered for is good for its value and taste.

The place was filled with people so we had to wait for 10 minutes but it was all worth it! Being a sinigang addict, we had to try the Sinigang Fried Chicken, and wow it did not disappoint me! It's just like eating sinigang without the soup! Very yummy. Plus their isaw, it is so addicting. One of the best isaws I've tasted so far. Their Pancit Molo is also a must-try! The taste is so strong, you'll want a second serving.
