My friend and I were able to find time and dine at Foo'd today! The staff were kind and helpful, the chefs too! They were nice enough to take a photo with us.
For the food, I love, love, love everything I had tonight. Especially the shortrib and carbonara, my friend ordered the two-way duck and it was great too!
Would definitely go back with more friends!
Went here for Valentine's lunch, and the menu was great; a 6 course meal. The waiters were friendly and very, very good water service. The food tasted fresh and the portions were generous. Our favorites were the seabass and the crab fat pasta. However, we did expect more from the rib eye steak (slightly dry and the overall taste of the dish was very sweet). The price was slightly on the higher end as the regular set menus during regular days are lower and more options. Overall, an enjoyable experience and would recommend their seabass.
This was a memorable experience.. you can park at the Shang.. atmosphere was great not too intimidating, comfortable seats, enough space between tables.. food was awesome.. definitely you’re gonna want to come back AND order the larger 7 course thing
What i had - 4 course menu 2250php net
Antipasti - crab canneloni, mushroom and egg
Simple yet elegant plating, the delicate flavor of the crab complimented the cucumber it was wrapped in. The iced tomato granita gave it a nice break.
Mushroom and egg antipasto was mindblowing. Hit all the right notes for flavor, plating, texture, etc. Prosciutto was on another level with its crispy take. This is such a dreamy dish
Primi - risotto milanese, truffle alfredo
Strong butter flavor from the aged carnaroli risotto with the saffron hues that added a layer of flavor. The meat bits were supposed to be bone marrow which didn't really do much on the dish except as a garnish.
The truffle alfredo was indulgent with just the right amount of truffle oil flavoring.
Secondi - duck two ways, lamb two ways
This was quite a letdown for one of the two ways. The duck breast has its gamey stench made worse bec it was cooked medium rare. Prob the duck was no longer in its optimum freshness because i have previously enjoyed a medium rare duck from a french resto. The confit version was slightly better but still had the "gamey" aftertaste. I also have to say that the plating of this dish was even disconcerting. Given the medium rare cooking, the beet puree looked like blood splattered all over the plate.
The lamb 2 ways was ok. The rib part had a smoky flavor than the cutlets, youd think it was barbeque especially if you swipe it with the accompanying tomato jam
Dolci - dark chocolate, lemon curd
I like that the dark choc dessert was for the sweet-averse, it has none of that cloying sugary taste that typical desserts would have. Even if it had a sweetened raspberry, diabetics wont be in trouble with it.
Lemon curd was tart and lightly sweetened. Actually, twas pretty more than anything. The lemon mascarpone is divine tho.
Place - has that expected sophistication with well-appointed decor and furniture, but without being intimidating. The moderate size is ideal.
Price - reasonable considering it's the resto of a michelin-starred chef
Service- friendly and accomodating
Serving - as part of a degustation menu, it is small but packed with flavor which can fill you up as it is
Try this resto for the experience. Ideal for a date or even a get-together with friends or family.
if ever it comes to your mind to have a fine date wether its for any special event and you want to try your very 1st fine dining experience go here, the servers will happily assist you just dont be shy to ask. Most legit degustation restaurant ik that is worth your money
The food is exquisite!! Definitely a must try. Each dish was carefully prepared. The meat were moist and seasoned perfectly.
This is a long overdue and Im writting after 2 years from eating here but very memorable.
This place is Fancy Business and Date feels.
I wanted to eat with my GF somehwere romantic candle-light course meal. I googled and found this place and reservation. I arrived and no one was outside but it seem busy inside so I just waved and they catered me to a table and seat with my GF. A lot of people are there it was around 8pm and mostly Business people in Suits and some Foreigners.
Main Menu consists either 3 4 5 course meals of appetizer 1st and 2nd main courses and dessert.
They also had wine and names which i never heard costing around 250 a glass but I did not get one since I dont drink on dates.
Idk anything about fine dinning or thr food served but what I wanted from the experience was the taste of NEW and Different but exquisite but if you don’t want that experience you better research the food served as some may think that its not good but Instead for me an acquired taste
They serve water in wine glasses and you opt to choose for sparkling but its just carbonated water
If you are going for a quick eat i suggest the 3 course meal
4 course meal for a good romantic date
5 course if you want to talk longer or business meetings or plain hungry
But 5 is the best one to pick in my opinion
I forgot some of the names in the picture but from what i cam remeber
APPETIZERS
Cipolla Caramellata
Smoked Duck Carpuccio
PRIMARY COURSE
Riso Marsala - (acquired taste for RISO)
Truffle Cacio E Pepe

Overall Summary:

- Fanciest place Ive had ever eaten but also one of the best.
- Deserves the Michelin Star and a MUST TRY
This is an awesome place to go to when you feel like being fancy without the ridiculous prices. Everything was great—the restaurant, the service, down to the food.
FOO'D has a lovely fine dining ambiance with well spread out tables and soft music.
We went for the 3 course meal with a glass of Prosecco and Red Wine. Antipasti: Cipolla Caramelata is a unique take on caramelized onion and it's superb. Smoked Duck Carpaccio was good too in beet puree.
Secondi: Seabass was very light with a buttery taste. 36-hour Shortrib with polenta and mushroom ragout was excellent.
Dolci: White Chocolate Souffle and Cheesecake were both good.
Oh the good times.
Went here for a post valentine’s day date.
Availed the 4 course meal and for the expensive menu, I think it’s all worth it.
Staff were very polite, accommodating and attentive.
The scallops were perfectly cooked. Their truffle pasta was also quite nice. The 36 hours short ribs is so soft and tender. The Lychee sphere ball for me was the star of the night, best dessert I had till up to this date.
