The food here was excellent but prices were on the high side. The large (huge!, plump, and perfectly cooked!) prawn covered in crab fat was the highlight. The butterflied Pla Pla fish - a signature of what seems to be common to all the LJC group (Cafe Adriatico) restaurants, was also fairly good. The Gising Gising was also a tasty, as well as the fried pork knuckle and Pochero Especial which was slightly sour almost like a sinigang. Be prepared to eat a lot of rice with the food being this good! Pleasantly surprised eating here, as we were only 1 of 2 tables to eat noontime on a Saturday. Dessert sizes were small though also satisfying.

Lorenzo’s way is a really nice place to have a quiet dinner. It’s classy woodsy interiors and calm music gave me the fancy feel. They offered a complimentary snack while we were waiting for our dishes to be served. The four season smoothie was okay, I didn’t like the strawberry part at the bottom. It was too strong for me. The paella valenciana was perfect! Great for two people. It was very flavorful. I also highly recommend the garlic chicken. It was something new but something familiar at the same time. The garlic were in cloves so it gave the different garlicky taste. What I like about it best is it didn’t taste malansa at all. I’m quite picky with non-fried chicken, especially those cooked with skin not removed but this one gets my approval. :)

We have had the opportunity to read so many poignant stories about everyday people coping with the realities of death in inspiring ways. These stories demonstrate how grief can produce something remarkable. Loved ones are driven to do something extraordinary in memory of another, whether to work through their loss or to show the world how special the person was to them. But it’s rare to hear about a restaurant being created in honor of someone.

Our family has visited Lorenzo's Way a couple of times, and each visit never disappoints. We absolutely love the Crispy Pusit, Gising gising, Halaan and Buco soup and the Bulalo was perfect as well. My son devoured the Dilis Rice and went back for seconds. Capping off the meal we enjoyed the Mango Panna Cotta. There are so many interesting things to try on the menu, we definitely look forward to coming back again next time!

Decided to dine in this restaurant on the last minute for my dad’s birthday. Impressive as ever. Still in love with their Sinigang with cocon. Bamboo rice has a weird odor but tolerable. Cherry on top was the delicious moist choco banana cake which they gave as complimentary for dad’s birthday.

High-end Filipino cuisine. Not much of a twist, just a classic cooking.

Food - 4. Yum. Authentic.
Place - 4. Cozy, Comfy and Classy. Not intimidating.
Service - 4. Servers are fun, attentive and accomodating.

Price a bit higher compare to other Filipino restaurant. Still would make a great choice.

Fast service we were in and out in an hour but the food was piping hot. Their Lengua was flavorful and fork tender. Honestly, I hate lengua but this was delicious. The main star tpnight was the garlic roast chicken. Its flavors were bursting and I can taste the thyme and rosemary. Nice touch. Kangkong was also terrific. Our server Kenn was very accomodating and fast. Thanks, wish i can give you guys more than 5 stars.

Larry J Cruz proved that you need not be a chef in order to move and influence the world of casual and fine dining. all you need to have is a highly perceptive palate and the indomitable will to make it a culinary reality (much easier said than done). The month of September is when the LJC month is celebrated, serving as a reminder that such feats can be achieved with superhuman taste buds:)

Each year during the month of September the LJC group offers its “gastronomic collection” a set of new dishes which finds its ways in the LJC group restaurant menus even way after the month of feature (some become permanent entree fixtures) .

For its upscale Lorenzo’s Way restaurant chain they featured 2 seemingly familiar and foreign dishes.

Familiar - Pochero Especial

Perhaps the epitome of the category it is in, Lorenzo’s ways version of the Pinoy classic Pochero is a must order if you are a fan of the dish or if you’re just in their restaurant looking for something savoury and satisfying. The best part of their version of Pochero is that they do not use tomato sauce, the pork is simmered in its own rich and savory broth. The natural flavour of the chickpeas and plantains enhance the savoury broth with sweet notes. The dish is a complete meal on its own.

Foreign - Filet of Mahi Mahi a la Provencale

It’s layer upon layer of flavors and textures served in a single plate. You have the sweet, juicy and the crab like meat of the Mahi Mahi Laid on top of creamy and buttery mashed potatoes spread across tomato caper sauce which has a strong and citrusy kick. Best way of enjoying the dish is to go through all the layers with one fell swoop of your fork and taste them altogether.

Given its limited availability (only available during the month of September, for now), I do recommend you try both dishes because you might miss on both.

This September, LJC Group celebrates Larry J. Cruz' birthday and they features LJC Festival of Flavors in which they will bring in 2 new dishes on all their 9 restaurants.

Fillet of Mahi- Mahi á la Provençale – Mahi á la Provençale – served on a bed of mashed potatoes with tomato caper sauce and sautéed shiitake mushrooms. Tomato sauce was on point. The Mahi-Mahi was cooked perfectly.

Pochero Especial – a dish of Spanish roots with a Filipino twist; served with chorizo, saba bananas, and vegetables. My own version was that I used tomato sauce that’s why I’m used to it being deep red in color. This Pochero does not have too much tomato sauce but the taste was still in tact. You can taste all the ingredients in one sip. Definitely a winner to me.

The Good to Dine Campaign is a fundraising project for the benefit of the Cancer Institute of the Philippine General Hospital, through the Andres Soriano Foundation Inc. This campaign aims to help and they will donate Php10 of the price of every featured dish or drinks ordered within the campaign period.
