The kare kare is absolutely to die for. Very very good with think rich peanut sauce. And the bagoong has the perfect mix of saltiness. I just wish they serve more meat for sharing 🙈
One of our fave restos in Tagaytay. Our family have eaten here numerous times either for family celebrations or just when we are craving for their crispy adobong pusit calamares and fried garlic rice. Food prices are very affordable too for the delicious taste and servings. ❤️
Pamana is great for a family lunch out. They have lutong bahay / authentic Filipino meals that will remind you of your mom's cooking back in the days. We tried Bicol Express and Kare-Kare, which are both good. PS: the view from the balcony is amazing!
They also have a branch in Makati (along Perea St.)

Gosh! Everything here is the best! We started with the Palitao as appetizer, which is the bomb. We ordered some the "putok batok" dish they had which is the crispy pata and sizzling litid. It was definitely good! The sinigang na baka was very maasim which I love. The only downside was we were seated beside the stairs and the dirty kitchen was behind our table. We would see scurrying staffs bringing dirty dishes to and fro our side which was very bothersome to our group.
Nilaga and Crispy Adobo Pusit were both superb. Hope to try more from their menu soon. We requested for the vacant seat in the garden at ground floor but the lady took us to second floor, which was windy that night. I guess the table was reserved(?) Anways, this place is recommended for big groups and family events. Cozy ambiance too.
Varied dishes and hefty servings for large groups (we were 12 pax) at affordable prices.
This place was more of a repurposed house to a restaurant which was a good idea. We were not able to dine near the view of the tagaytay volcano view due to a reservation made though it was not big deal to me.
Price point was for me not that justificable though I understand restos like this tend to bump up theor prices due to location. Food tastes good though it makes me think how it was prepared since I saw a small cockroach in the firts table where we were seated. Ventilation was also not good if you are seated overlooking the parking area. Nevertheless, this resto is accessible for tourists who just commutes around since it is just in front of Ayala mall.
My only complaint was that I think they have to improve their cleanliness since I requested to move to another table due to the presence of a small cockroach. There were also tissue papers lying underneath the dining tables when we were there.
While we enjoyed thd food and the breathtaking view of the lake, we had a good chat and laugh with the crew. They were very nice and welcoming.
Always love this place! Food is just really good, service is prompt, worth the price. I totally recommend this if you plan a trip to Tagaytay
One of the reasons why I've always wanted to try Pamana is I wanted to enter the beautiful vintage restaurant. The ambiance is really great as we were seated in a balcony overlooking Taal. We ate here on a small group so we didn't get to try many dishes but we ordered their crispy baby squid, kansi, and kare-kare. All of these taste great! I especially love the kansi! Will definitely go back here to try more of their dishes.
This is my 2nd time to eat in Pamana, we’re always ordering their boneless crispy kare kare, not too salty because it is partnered with bagoong, we also tried their sizzling bulalo, very juicy. We’ll surely come back here.

It's our 2nd time here and it did not disappoint as always 🙂 What we ordered:
Boneless Crispy Pata ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Crispy Adobong Pusit ⭐⭐ (kinda salty for our taste, but definitely a beer match!)
Sugpo with Aligue ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (yum!)
Serving is for 2 to 4 pax. Worth the price!
I rarely get impressed by Filipino restaurants. I guess we Filipinos always compare it to our own family’s home cooked meals. But the food in Pamana is just perfect. I loved everything we ordered. The place is nice and the waiters are very attentive. I will definitely go back and recommend this to everyone I know!
Great dining experience. We ordered bulalo, sinugba, lumpiang ubod and binagoongang bagnet for a group of 6 and we all satisfied our cravings for Filipino food with their sumptuous servings. I would have rated it 5 if the restrooms in the 2nd and 1st floor is well maintained. Before leaving I mentioned it to one of their staff. Just a suggestion , we are there to celebrate the birthday of our friend and we ask for a birthday dessert plated greeting if they have one. Sadly they dont have one. The waiter suggested that they can arrange one for a fee using their bibingka dessert and it is okay with us. However improvement is needed in the presentation but nevertheless it all went well..Pamana can include cake or mini cakes in their menu for these occassions
We visited the place on a weekday to avoid huge crowds. The best dish we liked was the Humba! It was top notch! Great ambience for family settings. We'd definitely come back for more.
This is the best meal we had in our whole trip in Tagaytay. I recommend this for couples and more so to families.
Meals are fairly priced yet big on servings and service. Just expect a bit of waiting.
I love the ambiance and the food. Tsokolate Baterol is a must on cold summer nights.
Husay ng Pusit at ng mga kuya staff!
Had the adobong pusit calamares. Crispy blank squid ink pusit plus suka - kanin pa meeeen! Sarap talaga. The sisig also was very good. Then May free pa sabaw pa.
Mga kuya staff - have to mention na the best kyo. Sobra asikaso na Sakto 👍🏽

Cozy ambience, great service and most especially, delicious food. We ordered the crispy adobong pusit, nilagang bulalo and crispy pata. All were good and reasonably priced for me. Pamana will definitely be one of our family’s fave restos in Tagaytay.
I was really happy to have dined here especially it was a tuesday afternoon when we came. The exterior of the place was already interesting and now on the interior design we came across plenty of picture frames from heart evangelista’s family and ancestors. The place gives you this exquisite fine dining feels. The waiters were really nice. I loved the adobo rice and the crispy pata.

When in Tagaytay, one shouldn't miss out on having a warm bowl of bulalo. I was meaning to bring my mom to Mahogany Market, since I heard this place offers the best (and cheapest) bulalo in the city. However, since we just had a whole day of exploring, we were too tired to travel again to the market. It also didn't help that it rained really hard in the afternoon. 😣 With this, we decided to look for a nearby place to eat at, and I chose Pamana Restaurant (It is just beside Cabins by Eco Hotel), just so we can get out bulalo fix. 😁
We got there in a jiffy, probably less than 100 steps from the hotel. 😁 Here's what we got for dinner and desserts:
✅ NILAGANG BULALO (Php 375 - Small) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pamana's version was a savory medley of beef and vegetables, and the small size was enough for 2 to 3 persons. The piping hot soup warmed us up, and the tender meat was flavorful, too! No wonder this is one of their bestselling items. 😁 However, I felt that the soup didn't taste as natural as I'd hoped. I tasted a bit of MSG / bouillon in it. We had this with plain rice, which we were told was good for 2 persons... But when it was served, it was actually around 5 cups of rice. 😭
✅ FOR ME: PUTO BUMBONG (Php 130) - ⭐⭐⭐
Can you believe it was my first time to have puto bumbong??? 😁 I'm not sure why I never tried one, but since Christmas is around the corner, I decided to give it a try. It was... okay? I mean. I wasn't blown away, but since I didn't have any other puto bumbongs to compare it with, I'm not sure how well it fares compared with the ones sold outside churches. I didn't get to feel / taste much of the cheddar / quezo de bola in it, but the warm coco jam dip was actually a nice addition. Can you suggest places where I can get awesome puto bumbongs?
✅ FOR MAMA: SUNSHINE'S UBE HALO-HALO (Php 190) - ⭐⭐⭐
My mom loves halo-halo, so it's a no brainer that she wanted to get this. It came in a tall glass, and serving size was pretty big. Despite having ube ice in it, my mom found it to be ordinary, and it did not have any wow factor for her. 😅 It had plenty of ingredients in it, so it was quite filling.
The ambiance was nice, as it felt like visiting a relative's old house. The interiors were basically old pieces of things that you'd find in an ancestral home. The tables are mostly good for groups, and it's actually more advisable to come in groups as the food is generally good for sharing as well. The service was awesome! I appreciated how the staff introduced the bestselling items to us, telling us to try those the next time we visit again. 😊 They were really courteous and alert, too! 👌
Overall, the food was okay (3⭐), but giving an additional ⭐ for excellent service! 👌

Let me start with the whole concept... very relaxing, comfortable and interesting. For the food, ang sarap. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I got to taste their best sellers, big servings din. Over all super satisfied tummy and the view of the Taal volcano is a plus! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 will definitely go back there!
I love everything about this place. From the food to its semi rustic style. If youre looking for a variety of great tasting filipino food that is affordable yet comes from age old authentic filipino recipes, pamana is the one!
This restaurant serves great filipino foods! I love the ambiance. There’s a view of Taal Lake. Great place to eat with your family. We will definitely be back and dine in this place again. 😊
The food is quite delicious and I cannot ask for more. We ordered the salmon sinigang, crispy tawilis, pinoy caprese salad and the lumpia trio. The food was delightful and I would go back in two shakes of a duck's tail. The only challenge in our dining experience was the parking, but it's worth it. Keep it up Pamana!
Nice taste, cozy ambiance, price range is from 200-800/pesos only. Serving size is also generous compare to other resto around the area and serving is also fast, waiters are accomodating. Overall it's a good casual restaurant. Good Job!

This Barrio Fiesta based Restaurant is known for Their 3-way adobo. People go here for the fish too. Grilled Fish in different cooking, the healthy way, Just the way you like it. Their Sinigang soups have the clear taste. Broth is freshly made so you Don’t have to worry about it being too Savory or Too Salty for a sinigang blend. But I think there’s a lot more to improve. Bistek Salmon is great too but the serving is kind of small but, salmon is usually pricey.
Pamana is a heritage Filipino restaurant in Tagaytay with great views, good food and excellent service.
We had Tuna Gising Gising, Bulalo, Kare Kare and Pakbet. All the dishes were good with Kare Kare and Pakbet being standouts.
Our beverages were hot Calamansi, watermelon juice and ginumis
I found this place to be comfortable and relaxing. The food was the best pinoy cuisine I have tasted in the six months I have been here. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and attentive. My only concern was they did not sell wine. They also charge 300 pesos to bring your own. Perhaps they should consider reducing this charge to encourage people like myself to come more often. This said. I would highly recommend you visit when in Tagaytay.
The place has a nice overlooking view.
Their bulalo is superb! You shouldn't miss it when you visit here. Their kare kare is good as well. This is a nice place to drop by whenever you visit tagaytay. :)
The food are amazing!!!! Though the menu prices here in Zomato are not the same in the resto maybe because of the prices really go up (like the bulalo, the large is 600 but in the actual it is already 750 while the crispy adobong pusit calamares is 400, the actual is 405 etc.), I can say that we enjoyed the ambience of the place, the staffs are attentive and helpful (they even take us a family picture) and the food are incredible ❤️. We had a lot of food ordered but I haven’t took them all.
Went here late afternoon on a Thursday. Took our client with us and had a memorable time. View from the top floor is great. We took a lot of selfies. We also love the traditional and quirky interiors. Servers were all attentive especially since we had the place almost to ourselves. Food we really liked: okoy - tasty and crispy loved the dipping sauce too. Bulalo - huge servings, flavorful broth, you can ask for extra soup too. Adobo 3 ways - traditional, gata and flakes. Yummy! Crispypata - crispy skin, soft and flavorful meat. Seafood kare kare - yummy!needs more sauce to balance with all the seafood in the bowl. The rest of the food we had were just ok like the sisig and binakol. Price is more expensive than other places in Tagaytay but the quality and taste of the food and the ambience and the service is what shines through.
One of our staple restaurants in Baguio was Barrio Fiesta, that's why we got sad when it was replaced by this restaurant- PAMANA. We never tried dining here until last Good Friday 2018 in Tagaytay. We were searching here, in Zomato, restaurants in Tagaytay that have high ratings and we came across Pamana. In short, we went here and gave it a shot. It felt like we were dining in an old province house (because of the furniture & photos), with a nice view (Taal volcano) and cold weather. Since we can't eat meat (Good Friday), we ordered Ukoy (must try 💯), Calmares (super must try 💯) and Kare Kareng gulay. While browsing through their menu, we learned that it is a "sister company" of Barrio Fiesta. We regret that we never gave this restaurant a chance, sooner. I must say, this is going to be a staple restau whenever we'll go to Tagaytay/ Baguio (even if they have a branch here in Manila)---because of the view☺.
Everything was so perfect. Yung mga waiter is really approachable, always smiling and no need to call them kasi they refill our water pag nakita nilang ubos na, ambiance is so nice pwedeng indoor or outdoor, food is so lit for its price. Sulit and mura na. Worth it!!
If you’re looking for an old-fashioned theme restaurant, this is a good place specially in Tagaytay branch. You’ll get to eat delicious Filipino food while enjoying the Taal view. Also, it is a good place for groups since they got big servings. Try Adobo rice toppings, Laing & Crispy Pork Belly 👌🏻
Super loved this restaurant, the homey ambiance and super delicious food.
food- typical filipino food but super sarap.
crispy pata- 5/5 super super super super delicious
meat will fall of the bone. super big serving.
ensalada mangga - 5/5 generous amount. loved the bagoong.
baked tahong -4/5 generous serving.
sinigang na hipon- 4/5 perfect level ng asim.
It was a day after my birthday 🎂 that we dine here for lunch to celebrate 🎉. We arrived here early because of the anticipated traffic 🚥 and maybe fully booked seats. Since our family was the 2nd guest who arrived, we had the chance to choose better seats and the serving of food 🍲 was fast. We also transferred to the small Nipa hut outside the restaurant to have coffee ☕ and desserts 🍰.
Overall, i would recommend this place or maybe be back here soon.
Good location, nice ambiance, corteous and attentive staff and last of all, great food! We tried their Crispy pusit in ink, pork humba, kare kare, paired with their sinangag and all I can say is SARAP at BUSOG!
Ordered Crispy Adobong Pusit Calamares which tasted really good but I was hoping to have an entire Calamares made into adobo but what was served was just a few pieces of calamari and the rest were just the regular pusit.
We also ordered the Pancit Buko which was also good. It was our 1st time to try this kind of dish. It's on the sweet side.
And then we got the ube halo halo and ginumis. Nothing fancy about the ube halo halo. It tasted like any regular halo halo. But the ginumis was good, the taste of panutsa was very distinct.
Good service, place is beautiful. But food is normal. Still eats here from time to time. The bulalo is more sabaw less laman but still okay. I go back because I feel relaxed eating here.

One thing I loved about this place is it merged some of the best classics at Barrio Fiesta with something new. Call it a trip to memory lane for the taste buds as we were Barrio Fiesta regulars when we were kids. My mom insisted on eating here and we happily obliged. It was rainy and cold, we were 6 hungry souls who devoured Kare-kare with Crispy Boneless Pata, Bulalo, Sizzling bangus, Laing (this was only so-so), adobong pusit (this was amazing) and lots of rice. We left with cravings satisfied. Thank you happy ongpauco for coming up with this concept. Nearby Hawaiian Bbq is our regular haunt, but this time we’re torn 😄
Typical Filipino dishes like balai Dako, bagnet kinda tough, place a little bit compact but has a great view of taal lake, service is great.
If you’ve read my other food reviews, you know that I’m very familiar with Chinese cuisines. Filipino cuisine is not something I look for, but Pamana is an exception to that! I’d always look forward to our mini Tagaytay trips - just to eat in this restaurant.
Sadly, the other Pamana branches aren’t as good as this original branch in Tagaytay. Filipino cuisine is an acquired taste for me. I grew up with a lot of Chinese food, so I’m not an expert in Filipino food. But I’ve been to numerous popular Filipino food chains, but Pamana is my favorite. From their Crispy Pusit in Squid Ink, Adobo Flakes to Halo Halo. Everything is so good that we would order doubles sometimes.
Pamana gave me a different outlook towards Filipino food. Not to mention, their interior is also exquisite! From vintage pieces to their family portraits, it adds a uniquely Filipino touch to the restaurant. If you’re in Tagaytay, better be sure to grab a bite here! You’ll thank me later.
For Appetizers
We had the lumpia trio and their best seller crispy adobo pusit calamares. (I wanted also the bone marrow but it wasnt available 😔). Both of the appetizers were great love the crispy adobo pusit!!! So yummy and very different. Then we had the pinoy caprese salad presentation is so good with every meal so appetizing. Then we had the lechon belly roll and davao sugpo. The belly roll was so yummy loved it. For the prawns it was yummy also but overcooked so i had a hard time getting the shell off as it was stuck to the meat. Then i had puto bumbong for dessert which was nice also. Every single meal had great presentation. Would definately recommend this and would go back for more

Overall: This must be the best hot choco we’ve ever had! Opt to stay at the balcony area for a wonderful view of Taal Volcano. Promise, you’ll love the ambiance and you and your date will definitely have a quality time. Also, thumbs up for their service! The branch manager is really accommodating.
Value for money: Super worth it!

Pamana Serves one of the best Kare Kare and Crispy Pata dishes in town. The Kare Kare is rich but never overpowering, the crispy pata has all the flavors seeping to the very bone without sacrificing the crisp of the pig skin. The best part is that you get to enjoy your sumptuos meal in the very homey feel of their restaurant.
I planned to celebrate my Birthday here yesterday because of the rating and reviews. We arrived around 11AM and I'm expecting that we need to wait but guess what, there is a lot of vacant tables.
♡ Place: 10 > the feeling is like your just eating your lunch with your family in your home.
♡Food: 8 > because of bulalo, my mom said it just like an ordinary bulalo in Karenderyas. And dont expect too much with the rice it's only good for 2 persons when they serve it. When it comes on the meals it all good for 3-5 persons, we even ask for take out because of the excess food that we did not ate. But all in all my Family enjoy the other meals.
♡Service: 8 > instead of giving us water first while waiting for our meal they just focus of going downstairs and preparing our meals. And the waiter tends to forgot some of our orders. But the waiting for our food is fine because we can still take selfies and even walk around the place.
♡ Price: 10 > The price is just right for the food.
After we ate downstairs there is a lot of people waiting that is around 1PM. Hope this review can help you guys.
I love the ambience, it reminds me of the old house of my grandparents (though not as chic as pamana). It was good that they used the family heirloom to decorate the place. It reminds us of the rich filipino culture.
For the food, definitely a two thumbs up considering that it was owned by the barri fiesta owners. We loved evrything we ordered, the classic kare kare, crispy okoy, pansit lukban and sisig.
Good food plus good ambience at an affordable price. Will definitely be back again.
Masarap yung food. We had ordered Crispy Squid on its ink at Sisig sa Aligue. Plus Sinangag. The only problem we encountered is may mga langaw na dumadapo sa food pero aside from that everything is fine..

Exquisite interiors, accomodating staff, and scrumptious dishes. Great place for a family get-together while marveling at the sight of taal lake. I believe it's a house made into a restaurant, it feels like you're in the comfort of your own home.
My favorites are: 1. salmon belly sinigang - served generous portions of salmon belly, soup is not so sour and a bit sweet 2. lapu lapu in mango sauce - fish is large and strips of mangoes added texture to the dish, the sauce blends well with the fish, naturally sweet 3. Crispy squid - squid is fried together with its ink, soft and well-cooked, first time to try mayo w/ taba talangka dip and 4. Pamana's kare kare - meat is tender, vegetables are not mushy, kare kare sauce is creamy, bagoong is great.
So happy to spend my birthday yesterday in Pamana. Since it is a weekday, the resto is not that jam-packed. We get to choose the best area to dine in (for picture taking na din syempre📸) Before I decided to celebrate my bday in Pamana, I read some reviews about it and what are their specialties to try on. So we tried bulalo, lumpiang trio, pancit canton and palitaw. Pop na pop talaga! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ My fave is the lumpiang trio because of the sauce/condiment they used. It's different from the usual. Plus, I got freebies (palitaw as my cake) because it's my birthday. 🎂 I'd like to commend the servers and staff - they're very nice and approachable pa! 🙌🏼 Recommended to everyone who loves Filipino dishes. 👍🏻
Most of the dishes here came from their family recipe which you will not find in some of the restaurants and that's what makes it special. I celebrated my 33rd bday here and i had an awesome food experience. 😘

Not the good place if you want to loose weight but definitely the perfect place if like me you want to be acquainted with filipino cuisine. Delicious experience (crispy psta Kare Kare), although not good for my cholesterol. Anyway, life is short. Nice outdoors sitting with amazing view on the lake . So it is worth going for lunch. Friendly staff. The restaurant sells beautiful China.
The ambience was very homey and the view of Taal Lake was awesome. The interior was a little cramped but the staff did their best to make us comfortable.
We had bulalo, aligue sisig, garlic rice, barako coffee and calamansi juice. Everything tasted great (I'm no food critic though) but tbh I didn't get the aligue taste in the sisig, it tasted like regular pork sisig. The serving portions were for sharing so my boyfriend and I got to take home leftovers. Prices were super reasonable. Would definitely come back.

I love the rustic but homey theme of the place. Food was AMAZING and AFFORDABLE. The KANSI (half sinigang and half bulalo) is perfect for someone like me who loves sinigang and bulalo, it is definitely worth a try!
Good place to chill. I love the ambiance of this place. The view was superb. This place is good for dating your love ones. They have the best ensaymada. I love how it melts in your mouth.
It was rainy labor day when we went here. I love how the place was designed and decorated. I super love how the wall frames were arranged...it is so vintage! We decided to ate outside (in their nipa huts) because we wanna feel the fresh air (though it wasnt that cold that time). We ordered for sizzling bicol express, chicken inasal and hot chocolate. The food is great and tasty! I love their hot chocolate! The staffs were also accommodating. I would definitely come back for more! Just dont stay outside if it's night because of so much insects flying.
Sorry for the overdue review 😂
We went here for my mama's birthday last december. At first i thought it's a super fancy resto and I'm not that sure if we will like it here. But boooom! We loved it, from the food to the place and to the service. The price is that high (for me) maybe because Pamana is a fine dining resto that really serves food so well.
We orderer crispy adobong pusit calamares (the bomb!) and Lumpia trio as starters. For the main because starter can also be served as a dish for rice, we only ordered Kare kare boneless pata and Crispy Tadyang and its FTW! All caps para intense! Personally I super love it! For dessert i ordered grilled ensaymada and tsokolate batirol for me and my mother and homemade banana split for my bro. Over all it was a great experience!

The best pinakbet and kansi I've ever tasted! Good ambiance & very friendly staff.. Kinda disappointed with the small serving of their lechon belly, not worth it to pay 650php (1/2 order).. Over all experience was great! Definitely will come back again! 👍👍👍
Pamana resto has a great ambiance, and there seems to be a history and family vibe in the place. Their food is great particularly the adobong pusit calamares and boneless crispy pata. We went there nighttime so there weren't much of a crowd, and the we were accorded great service. But it could be different on a busy day. Their tables we had in the veranda area outside of the main dining area was a bit cramped. A little more space would've been better. Price is reasonable too.
Ordered salmon sinigang, crispy pusit in squid ink, liempo and rice.
Loooooved everything we ate here! You'll be inlove with the crispy pusit at first bite. Everything was specially made with love as you feel it in every bite and every sip.
Make sure you have a jacket when you go here, could get a little chilly at the second floor.
Restroom could be more clean.
Booking through the zomato app was a breeze! I had Nilagang Bulalo, Inihaw na Bicol Express, Adobo rice and Calamansi Juice.
I had a great time with the food. The meat from the bulalo is very soft and falls off the bones. The bicol express was right off the bat with shrimps! I loved it. But the adobo rice is a bit overwhelming so I won't recommend it. Also the Calamansi juice isn't fresh, it's like the syrups you can buy from the store.

Pamana serves great tasting Filipino food. The theme of this restaurant was very unique. It is an ancestral inspired place. The different pictures of the family heritage that were hanged on the walls, the old machines that were used back then, and the antique interiors brought the whole place back when it was like the 1900's. The dishes being served were also very unique. I highly recommend trying their Pinaputok na Tilapia. The fish was soft and moist and the tomato salsa inside was seasoned nicely. Everything that we ordered here turned out pretty good. There wasn't a dish that I hated. All were very satisfying, filling and delicious. For dessert, my family and I ordered the Batangas' Pinoy Fondue. It consisted of Puto,Kutsinta, and Suman with a bowl of hot melting chocolate. It was a great way to end a meal. I will definitely eat here again because it was nice spending time dining here with my family.
After some play time with the kids and cousins at Sky Ranch and enjoying beautiful views of the Taal volcano, we drove down the main road with Pamana as our point of interest for lunch. It was my cousin's birthday and it was perfect. We shared a wonderful family birthday lunch together enjoying a huge bowl bulalo, which I had been wanting to try for ages! Everyone kept saying to try bulalo in Tagaytay so when we finally looked through the menu I knew what I wanted to order. The restaurant had a lovely homely ambience to it with family pictures on the wall and a nice black and white theme throughout. I always try to order a veggie dish when we go out and it was my first time tasting a dish that they called Binignit. It kinda looked like pinakbet because it had the same veggies but the different was it was creamier with coconut plus they had added sago. Gosh it was good! We all finished it straight away! They have a great rooftop dining area and also are in the process of building some nipa huts outside for even more space to dine. Would love to visit this place again next time we're in town!
One of the good restaurants in Tagaytay, they serve really good Filipino food. Of course the usual is the Bulalo and theirs is pretty good! Good place to bring your relatives to!
A Family Tradition:
01 Welcoming of the staff.
There was no reception staff who guided us since we booked a table. They know how to accept reservation.
02 Menu presentation.
The menu was impressive.
03 Taking of drinks.
There was no suggestive selling.
04 Serving of drinks.
We need to call the Waiter just to serve water. The glasses were goblet and comes from a carafe.
05 Ambiance.
It was like you are in a house but it needs cleaning. The toilet was dirty.
06 Table set up.
It was impressive with high centerpiece. Cutleries and chinaware were clean.
07 Taking of food orders.
We were not guided since it was our first time.
08 Serving of food.
It was based on sequence but no presentation. The fish tied with lemongrass needs to be cut by a service staff. I need to get fork at the nearby table by myself coz no staff seems to care.
09 Service during the meal.
Cutleries were not complete even after they served the food. The service was bad although they charge service charge.
10 Suggestive selling.
Staff lacks training.
11 Prices of the food.
It was reasonable.
12 Billing presentation.
It was accurate.
13 Bidding goodbye.
No body cares.
-Staff needs training and the food needs to rechecked. It's not really a place that you want to come back.

Pamana, with its old-fashioned interiors and bric-a-bracs, looks like an ancestral home and evokes the traditional big celebrations at home with home-cooked meals you grew up with. If possible, try to get a table in their roofdeck so you can enjoy the cool Tagaytay breezes while you dine.
A trip to Tagaytay is not complete without the Nilagang Bulalo. We also ordered Crispy Pata and Crispy Lapu-lapu as well as Puto Bumbong for dessert.
The staff here are friendly and attentive. One even gamely carried the big picture frame to the roofdeck to be used for our family's photo opp.
Having heard good reviews about this restaurant, I decided to eat here with my family and I found that the atmosphere and design of the restaurant was great. Regarding the food, the crispy adobong pusit calamares was something to die for! I tried the crispy pata and the bulalo as well, finding no problem with both of them. Overall, I believe this is a good restaurant and not bad for it's price.
Best Place to dine in Tagaytay. Loving their Rustic and old-fashioned ambiance.
Their "Pork Sisig and Aligue" is to die for. A deadly combination of Heaven. 😀.
Ambience: Cold yet cozy
Food: Tastes phenomenal
Service: Efficient and fast
Facilities : Well-maintained
Price: Affordable
Overall: Recommended for good and filling dining
Pamana as we all know is part of the Ongpauco restaurant like Barrio Fiesta. Like Barrio Fiesta, Pamana serves delectable Filipino dishes.
Their serving is good for 2-3 pax. Price is reasonable compared to nearby restaurants and the taste is superb! Here's what we ordered.
Barrio Fiesta's Original Kare Kare (P400.00).
Of course, who would miss it for the world!? Haha! Creamy & a little sweet. The Vegetable are well cooked. And the meat are tender with the right amount of fat. The bagoong compliments the kare kare which is on the sweet side as well.
Tuna Belly sa Manggang Hilaw (P420.00).
Wanted to try something unusual. And since it was a bit cold, twas a little windy when we got there, we decided to try this unique soup. But actually, the picture in the menu caught my attention. Isda and mangga!? But when the food was served I was disappointed and got more disappointed when I tasted it. 1st, the food didn't get served as how it was in the picture more so, it didn't have any real raw manggo in it. 2nd, it didn't have a trace/ hint of manggo in the soup. Was tood that they ran out of manggo and that they used "manggo syrup" instead. But nope, the taste was not even close. Nonetheless, it was delicious.
Sizzling Pancit Ivatan (P370.00).
This was a scene stealer! This will definitely be something worth going back to. Its Pancit Canton topped with sunny-side egg and dried pork adobo. The taste is super rich and flavorful. We gave this a 4 thumbs up!
Service was fast. Waiting time was about 10-15mins. The staff was courteous and attentive. The place is a little nostalgic. Has old photos, vintage stuff and woody furnitures. Its kinda cool. The place is well lit and ventilated. The 2nd floor is semi al fresco and also has a good view of the lake. There are ample parking space in front of the restaurant but have to be extra cautious since no one will be guiding you in parking.
Must try and very much worth the visit!
Place was great and the interior was very warm. Sad to say it was dinner time when we came here, we couldn't see the taal.
Service attendant were very warm at welcoming us.
They offer nice filipino dessert.
Binagoongang bagnet - yum yum. The bagoong not too salty👍🏻 the serving was generous, the sinigang hipon generous din.
Sad to masarap siya pag maiinit.
Kung pwede next time i serve sa palauong n may fire sa bottom.
A bit pricy but the interior and the accommodation is warm
Coming back here --- yup

As I was looking back on our first visit to Pamana, I just couldn't believe seeing how small Rain was the last time we wrote about Pamana! Four years has passed since then, yet Pamana is still known as one of the most loved family places to dine in when you're in Tagaytay. We were reminded of how good the food was when we went there a few weeks ago. After our lovely overnight stay in The Boutique Bed and Breakfast, everyone was looking forward to having lunch there before heading back down to reality.
Went there for lunch as Plan B for the depressing go-see at another restaurant down the road (name rhymes with Serpentine's). I took my party of 10 at Pamana and we were lucky to be seated immediately at the third floor deck.
The ambiance at the third floor was great with a good view of the Taal Lake and also of the Ayala Mall across the road. I didn't care for the heavy seating bench that seemed to be immovable though.
I planned what to order days ago studying the menu, the prices, the customer feedback, blog articles and pictures of the food items and proceeded to order the ff:
Lumpia Trio:- It was as good as it was reviewed. Probably the most memorable dish of all the food we ordered.
Bulalo - Good portion, good broth and you can ask for more broth.
Kare-kare - still the great tasting Barrio Fiesta Kare-late you never forgot as a child growing up.
Crispy Pata - I don't know if the large we ordered was the small one, because I'm pretty sure that thing fell from the table and it was all bone before it hit the floor.
Chicken Tinomok - no one was touching it because it didn't look "pretty".enough. But when the crispy pata was gone, we attacked the Tinomok and man...it was running close second to the Lumpia Trio. It was many, many notches above your regular lechon manok.
Pork sisig with aligue - I tried some but...meh. Not this sisig.
Pinoy Fondue - it was fun, it was good, the chocolate dip was a bit watery and I asked the waiter to serve it with the complete cutesy trinkets but they just served it plain. Still a good dessert.
Nilasing na mangga - Overpriced, overhyped appetizer. It was half a green mango soaked in beer with some bagoong...P190. The pictures in blog articles show two glasses but it's only one glass.
The service was good. Props to our attentive and hardworking waiter Allan who goes up and down 3 floors to bring our orders. All the food we ordered arrived fast except the Tinomok and the fondue.
I couldn't care much for the stern faced lady maitre'ds who look like prison guards at Women's Correctional.
Overall, we had a memorable lunch and everybody was raving about the food and the Pamana experience. Good food, great ambiance, good service = great dining experience.
Note: Food was so good, we forgot to take pictures.
