The place has a homey feel and food is great! Loved their nachos, bbq pork ribs, harvester's salad, finishing them off with coffee and their scrumptious everything bar and cheesecake. Great place to have small gatherings. Food are in big portions, good for around 2-3 persons, depending on their appetite.

Harvest salad, onion stack and aglio e olio. This is a perfect combination and it fed two of us. Dinner was capped with smores cupcake. Ice cold water did not destroy the savory flavor of the food. Try it out. We've been passing by this place for years and this is our first stop here. We will definitely come back and next time with the kids.

Really nice place to relax with family and friends. Very cozy and they've got lots of parking too. The food is really good. The servings are HUGE! That pastrami sandwich that they've got is my favorite. They've got great desserts and the caramel cheesecake tops my list. I heard the caramel is homemade and thats a plus for me. Overall, I really like the place. The whole building was nicely done and its in a place where its not so noisy and busy.

A great find with an impressive collection of items for sale and on display; a hidden treasure indeed. Finding it was a challenge as it's not as exposed as the nearby establishments. Although, in my opinion, the location is optimal. It maintains the flow of the customers slowly coming in and leaving, making sure that the atmosphere remains chill and intimate, which can easily be changed by overcrowding. As for the food, I'm totally won over--tastewise, visual allure, variety and affordability, I'm glad to have spent a very special day here. Plus, they have pretty cool lighting for photos!

We had spanakopitas for starters. And it was so generous with prawn filling. The shrimp blended well with the cheese. Best tried while hot.

I had Chicken Pesto, as usual. And my partner had garlicky blue marlin. The pasta is quite simple but the chicken had a different savor in it. While the blue marlin is aslo great with its perfect salt and meaty flavor. It actually tastes like pork.

And, of course, you always save room for dessert. We had caramel cheesecake. Best way to cap off the dinner.

Good place to hang out with friends or unwind when you’re alone.. conducive for meetings and “group” study where you can eat and share opinions with each other. Music is “not really mellow but not too loud” . They serve good selection of breakfast , lunch and dinner dishes . If you’re reviewing for an exam, bring an ANC earbuds

Co/op's a cute place - definitely one where you can work or set a meeting in! I think they change their menu every now and then or have seasonal offerings. I liked their cranberry chicken sandwiches the most which were served with sweet potato fries. It was just the right balance of sweet and salty! Also liked their tinapa pasta and tomato soup - this would've gone perfectly with a grilled cheese sandwich! Hope they can pair it with one next time or maybe offer a cheese garlic toast to go with it? Will definitely come back!

A different restaurant experience since you get to check out merchandise on display while waiting for your food.

Herb Crusted Beef Tenderloin was good and serving was generous. The beef was indeed tender but the overall flavor was just okay.

Swedish Meatballs- the name gave me the impression that this was Ikea’s boxed meal. I wouldn’t really know since I haven’t tasted the later. The meatball was okay. I liked the silky mashed potato that came with it. It came with a serving of what looked like bagoong but was actually some kind if marmalade..? It did go well with the dish.

Beautiful ambiance and ample parking. On a quiet afternoon, this would be a great place for meetings or getting work done since they do have coffee.

We came here this morning and although we were confused by whether it was table service or not. They didn’t have flavour coffee (caramel, vanilla etc) so we ordered standard lattes with fine brown sugar and they were really yummy. We ordered the breakfast of champions and the salmon rosti eggs Benedict which were both cooked beautifully and full of flavour. Were presented nicely and the restaurant was great

Found a hidden gem in San Juan! 😮 This cappuccino is nicely brewed — perfect for a coffee fix. It’s not purely a coffee shop though so they don’t have much options for coffee but but but!!!! This place is unique, one of a kind. The view from the outside is aesthetic, the inside did not disappoint. It has a store section where you can find eccentric stuff, (really good finds, I promise).

Chose the Nicoise salad for the food and glad I did. Very reasonable price (P310) with a big serving that’s good for 2-3 persons. If you feel like eating tuna, green beans, potatoes and quail eggs, Nicoise it is! (It’s actually a style of salad inspired in Nice, France 🇫🇷) Co/OP got 6 salad choices to choose from and would probably come back to tick off another one 😉

Ordered tartufo as well; presentation wise is good, parma ham on top of fettuccine with truffle creamy mushroom (it wasn’t really that evident tho). I always like how I can already smell any food with truffle from afar and CO/OP’s good at it! It’s a good truffle pasta fix but not special though compared to other authentic Tartufo. It’s 370php and good for sharing. So I guess, not bad for the price.

Can’t get over the way this place looks. It reminds me of a greenhouse with the large glass panels that let in warm sunlight. A lovely interior that is both rustic and modern will greet you the moment you enter the restaurant. And don’t forget the little section full of knickknacks and trinkets that you can buy! Now let’s focus on the food:

🐟 Garlicky Blue Marlin: pan-seared fish with a garlic sauce, tomatoes, and garlic rice on the side. Meat was tender and there were generous portions of garlic in the rice, which I really liked.

🐔 CO/OP Roasted Chicken: Roasted chicken served with green beans, carrots atop a brown rice pilaf. Looked and smelled great! Plus it’s a healthy alternative for those who are health conscious.

🍄 Tartufo Pasta: Fettucine with cream sauce, porciutto ham, Truffle oil and mushrooms. My selection. Loved the strong truffle flavors and the salty ham, which added flavor to the pasta dish.

🐠 Smoked Salmon Pasta: Fettucine with capers, asparagus, smoked salmon and a Tomato-based sauce. I love their generous portions of smoked salmon here. Plus, the smoky taste is strong here, texture is chewy but the fish still holds its form, so it’s a good kind of salmon that I like.

I’ve been always wanting to try out this really attractive place in San Juan ever since I saw it. From the outside, the restaurant looks very contemporary and zen. It almost looks like a house! I figured it’s perfect for breakfast and lunch dates since the ambiance is much more homey than romantic. But based on my experience, this place is beautiful enough for any occasion. Hehe!

PARKING (5/5)

Parking was easy! They have a very spacious open area in front which can cater a lot of cars! I’ve never seen this place full of parked cars before so I’m thinking access here will be stress-free anytime of the day. They also have a guard who will accommodate and help you park.

AMBIANCE (5/5)

I’ll be frank, what truly attracted me to try this restaurant was its appearance. Haha! I brought my girlfriend here just so that we can have quality time while we enjoy the ambiance of his place. And we were not disappointed! The interiors were perfectly placed, the furnitures were fit for the venue, and the environment was homey and cold. I also loved the fact that they have a mini store inside selling all these hipster and unique finds that the owner of the store found interesting from his/her travels. They were all attractive but pricey. Haha! They have tables and chairs inside the resto and outside. But of course, me and my girl opted to seat in the sofa where we could sit together. Hehe!

FOOD (4/5)

I saw from pictures (thanks to Zomato!) and read from the reviews that they have big servings hence we only ordered 2 meal, the Caesar Salad (P310) and the BBQ Pork Ribs (P495). I have to say, they all got it right because we almost weren’t able to finish everything! I’d say all their dishes are good for 2-3 persons. Serving time wasn’t that bad too since we didn’t get tired of waiting. We loved both our orders because they were both tasty and delicious! The Caesar salad bacon on it!!! I actually did y expect to enjoy the salad but man it was good! It had a lot of toppings and the generous amount of dressing! Indeed very tasty! 😋 The BBQ Pork Ribs was also a winner because not only was it huge but also flavorful! I liked the BBQ sauce and the texture of the meat! Didn’t have a hard time cutting through with it because it was soft just the way I liked it! They only have limited food in their menu but everything sounds so promising!

SERVICE (5/5)

Just upon entering the place, we were already greeted with welcomes and smiles from the waiters. They were all very entertaining and friendly. They answered all my questions especially from their mini store and they willingly took pictures of us. Haha! They were able to give good recommendations on what to order which shows that they have good knowledge of what they cater and that they are very attentive. No problems here!

THE VERDICT (4.5/5)

I don’t know why I can’t give a 4.5 rating anymore but if I was able to, that’s the score I’d give this restaurant. We had a lovely time here and I’m looking forward to coming back to try out their other dishes! I’m also curious as to how this place looks like in the evening. Hehe! But I’m also equally interested in trying out their coffees and desserts! Hmmmm! Something to look forward to I guess! Hehe! Cheers! 😊

I rated this based on my previous meals here. They have big servings and overall food are great.
This time we had:
Pork ribs- since I’m not a fan of fat, I didn’t enjoy this much but the taste of the meat itself was good. It was just not what I had in mind for pork ribs

Truffle pasta- great choice from bacon to al dente pasta. Overall great

This quaint shop is hidden in one of the side streets of San Juan. The first time I visited I was quite surprised, they have beautifully decorated interiors and a store of cool things inside.

The Store
An assortment of decors, books, and bags.

The Cafe
They serve good sandwiches and pasta. Their coffee is imported.

It's a nice place to hang out and chill.

It was early last year when I discovered this place (thanks Zomato). Since then, I became a regular customer and I make sure that I'll drop by at least once a week to either eat or just drink coffee. I love everything at CO/OP, from accommodating staff, very relaxing ambiance, huge parking space, and the food. I can also say that I've already tried almost all the food that they do offer except for desserts as I'm no sweet tooth. Overall, I'll give 5🌟 for this place.

I’ve passed by this numerous times since it opened and just visited it now. Just like the good reviews from the online community and relatives, my experience here was pretty good.

I ordered the truffle pasta and it did not disappoint. As the dish is set in front of you, the earthy aroma of truffle perfumes the air and sends you salivating. The saltiness of the slivers of bacon are welcome accents against the creaminess of the pasta. The serving is generous and well-worth its price.

CO/OP is a lifestyle and café located along A Mabini Street in San Juan, Metro Manila. A splash of quirky décor is the first thing you’ll notice at this house-turned-resto shop. Patrons can browse through their display of various artsy fartsy stuff while waiting for their food in the restaurant.

I’ve visited them several times already and so far these are my favorites from their menu:

A big coffee place in San Juan area. Aside from being a coffee shop this place is also a store that sells art stuff and bags. The place is very spacious and has a great parking space in front. I went for my usual flat white which was nice but didn't get the right amount of milky foam that I like in Flat white. For the dessert we grab a Ube white chocolate. I enjoyed it even it was a bit too sweet. Perfect with a cup of coffee.

Downside for me is all the power outlet is taped so customer are not allowed to use it. :(

Overall I'll be back to try their other dishes. Saw that the price was very budget friendly and serving size was good.

After a lunch thing just along A. Mabini at San Juan, I was really craving for a cup of coffee. Good thing CO/OP was really close so I decided to try it out.

From the outside, i am already loving the cottage feel to it plus their cute logo at the center. The inside is also really nice, very Instagram worthy with all the decors. I can imagine myself here with some friends and just enjoying the company over some laughs and food of course.

I had a Flat White and it was good. The coffee was strong enough without the milk overpowering it.

Will have to go back to try their food items!

We tried their beef brisket sandwich and their shrimp diablo pasta. Firstly their prices are a bit high, but their serving sizes are also fairly big, one dish being capable of being shared between two if your appetites aren't that big. So ultimately, you're getting value for money in terms of quantity. The pasta was alright, it definitely had a bit of a kick and the sauce was flavorful. It was good but it doesn't really jump out as a special thing. I would come here again to try their other things, as well as their desserts which look interesting as well.

Soon as you drive into their area, you feel homey. The food is prepared simply with a touch of elegance. We ordered the BBQ pork ribs, herb crusted tenderloin and the shrimp pasta. The pilaf to the meat dishes were cooked perfectly and the meet was tender. The shrimp pasta was surprisingly good! The white sauce had a tingly zing to it and was just exciting to my taste. What I would change about it was that I wish they didnt bread the shrimp. The also had quaint l, cute items for sale. You could go around while waiting for your food to be served.

CO/OP is a refreshing creative space that serves up breakfast food and gourmet sandwiches. The portion size is generous. The eggs Benedict, for instance, can feed 2 people sitting down for breakfast after a morning run. The fruity waffle is generously topped with mangoes, bananas, and strawberries. But this place serves more than just breakfast fare. It's a great place to meet because it's spacious, with lots of natural light, quiet, and relaxed. Everything here is eye candy -- a great place to feel creative. Drop by the neighborhood some time. With the traffic, it may feel like madness and mayhem outside, but indoors it will always be an oasis of calm.

Quaint coffee shops never fail to make me giddy. But quaint coffee shops that serve good food make me happier. Shops like Tweedle Book Café, Refinery, Yardstick and UCC are just a few that make me go gaga. Last week, I went to one of the cutest cafés I know… CO/OP Manila.

Hello again, CO/OP Manila!

It has been a while since my last visit. I recall that I only had dessert and coffee when I visited this cute place for the first time. This time around, I went for dinner and I realized that there are only a few savory options. Anyway, I decided to go for the Smoked Salmon (PHP370) while F got the Tartufo (PHP370) and R got the Beef Brisket Sandwich (PHP390). I also got the CO/OP Iced Tea (PHP80) while R got the Strawberry Lemonade (PHP150).

I noticed that the place is practically empty. It’s a perfect place to catch up with friends on a weeknight or the sanctuary of a person cramming.

First served were our drinks.

My iced tea was sweet yet refreshing. R also liked his strawberry lemonade. Though I couldn’t get much from him but a simple, “’k lang.”

Soon, our dishes were served.

My smoked salmon pasta was so flavorful. The fettuccine with anchovies, smoked salmon (though I felt it was too stingy), capers and asparagus in creamy tomato sauce was divine! It was such a filling dish! It would have been better if there were more salmon in it.

I also liked F’s pasta. It had a lighter taste than mine hence being less prone to “umay.” The rich creamy mushroom sauce went well with the parma ham and truffle oil. Carbonara lovers will fall in love with this one.

R’s beef brisket sandwich was great too! The beef was so soft and savory. I also liked the sweet potatoes on the side. Too bad, I was already too full to enjoy the portion R gave me.

I’ll definitely try the other dishes next time. See you again soon, CO/OP Manila.

Co-Op was a hidden gem in Greenhills. The interior is very nicely done and their food tastes great albeit on the pricey side. Try their pizza fries--it's GOAT! Their tuna sandwich was alright (had too much bell peppers inside making it quite bitter). I cant recall their drinks but I recall the other half of the cafe/hangout area was full of gadgets and paintings for sale. Definitely a great go-to for future dates! Co/op was surprisingly good both in its ambiance as a seller of quaint tchotchkes and as a purveyor of food & drink! The place is a heaven for people shopping for knickknacks.

We had the Strawberry Lemonade and Iced Tea. Both were good. Our food orders started with a healthier than usual Co/op Nachos and Roasted Tomato Soup. Both were good. Then we had the Shrimp Pasta - decent shrimp in a spicy sauce on linguini pasta. The Beef Brisket Sandwich was good too. Super heavy with good chunks of beef on toasted multigrain bread.

A house-turned-lifestyle store and cafe in San Juan. This Laid back store is selling hip goods and comfort food in one roof!

I'd say this place can always be a go-to-place if you need time to relax, unwind and just sit back and chill with friends.

They offer: Coffee, Juice,Tea,  Salads, Sandwiches, Soups, Cookies, Pasta, and Desserts

As for the other items, Co/Op showcases unique products, Collectibles and chic finds.
You'll enjoy going around! Even their restroom is so unique, I was amazed with the concept and design!

Food price was a bit expensive but expect a generous amount. Ambiance is lovely at night.

I love their Co/Op signage outside and the Huge Manila Letters that will get your attention as soon as you approach the resto entrance.

Some time last year, I have heard of CO/OP but never found out where it is located until now that we are looking for a place to chill before moving on for our dinner nearby. The place is very beautiful, like a resort house in the mountains. The wooden exterior gave it a more relaxing feel.

Aside from a coffee shop, half of the store sells pieces of art, be it pillows, posters, or souvenir tokens. The place is a delight to the eyes.

The shop offers full meals, sandwiches, pastas, cakes, and drinks. It is a bit pricey although they up elevated the presentation and quality. I ordered nachos and was surprised that it came out with tons of lettuce, like a taco salad. Nevertheless, it was delicious and refreshing to the tastebuds. I also had their ginger ale. Yummy!

My friend ordered the red velvet cake and I was able to try it. I think the refrigerator took the flavor out of it since I could not taste anything and the cake was pretty hard.

We did not stay long, but I was hoping we would. It is a great place to relax or have a date with your partner.

CO/OP is a find! This design focused restaurant is an old converted house in the  Addition Hills area. The garden out front is framed by gorgeous bamboo trees and is lit nicely at night like someone's home garden.

About half the space is dedicated to small item home decor, paper supplies, and personal accessories. The other half, which is just as stylish, is the café, which offers light meals, coffee and some nifty cold drinks, like my strawberry iced tea and some seriously good artisan ginger ale, locally made. Some say the food isn't all that, but I'm willing to give them leeway on that.

We hung out here, not long, and found ourselves relaxing; I personally wanted to stay longer. That just means I must make my way back here.

A cross between Heima and a cafe, Co/op offers a unique dinning exprience for a wide range of audiences. Whether you're a bookworm, artist, shopping addict or coffee addict, they seem to have anything and everything! :) Design is superb, with their consistent industrial preppy look, I must say, I'm impressed by their interiors.

For the food, we ordered a salad (P290), roasted chicken (P390) & Tartufo Pasta (P370). I love our salad, the combination of greens, pears, blue cheese & candied wanuts, tossed in balsamic vinegrette is a winner. However, the lettuce were a bit old and wilted. Roast chicken is served with a heaping bed of brown rice with a side of crispy blanched vegetables. The rice is surprisingly flavorful, however the chicken serving is too small for the amount of rice. And finally the Tartufo, honestly despite the generous amount of ham, I'm disappointed that it lacked the truffle smell & taste.

I've passed by this place a hundred times and have always heard reviews from different people. Ambiance-wise it's easy to give them a 5.0 rating. However after recounting how mildly disappointing the food was, I think they only deserve a 4.0 for taste (food).

Went here with my partner for a quick snack which later turned out to be a nice dinner. Ambiance and good service are always strong points for me which they have plenty of.

The servings were hefty, me and my partner shared. We started with the cheesy tots which were a little bland for my partner's taste but was okay for me. The pasta tartufo was good but not remarkable. We then shared the beef brisket (the one that comes with a side of rice). The beef was served medium well and was cooked just right. The rice and vegetable mix that comes as a side were also flavorful. The desserts are yum and a must-try. They also sell notebooks and what not.

A completely chill (during off-peak hours) dinning experience.

I frequently pass by this place and missed to inspect that it is a resto and also houses merchandise of quaint home and living items. Perfect for lunch and catch-up with friends. Since we're coming off from the holidays with extra fats on unwanted places, we decided to eat "lite".

These are what we shared:
Broccoli and cheese soup - yum! to start 4*

Cobb Salad - caesar dressing with chopped ham and dried cranberries over greens 3.5*

Harvest Salad - sweet and tangy dressing on greens with apples and candied walnuts

Crepe cake - coffee-based, not too sweet or overpowering, we loved it! 4*

Overall, I think the food is OK, simple and unadulterated. I would bring friends here because of the overall feel of the place.

Went here last night and was shocked that there was not a lot of people around, so thats good for us. Anyway, the sandwich was good, would order it but the pasta was not so good. The initial reaction after seeing the menu is that there arent many choices. We had onion rings, nachos, roastwd tomato soup, grilled cheese, aglio olio pasta, sausage pasta, shrimp pasta, buffalo wings, and tenderloin. The mac n cheese needs improvement, maybe use macaroni instead of penne. The onion rings is great for people who prefer them lightly battered. But 5/5 for the rest. The beef tenderloin is the best i have tasted. The pilaf rice with tenderloin was superb. By the way, the servings are huge. Everythings good for two. Will definitely return.

Everything we ordered was really good. Simple but they hit the spot. The ambience was cool, filled with a lot of novelty items for sale. Generally a chill vibe good for a friendly conversation over comfort food: salmon tomato pasta, mac n cheese, pizza fries, turkey sandwich.

Cozy is the word I would describe this place. If you want a laidback affair or nightcap, I strongly suggest you go here. The ambiance is enough to relax even the most stressed out person. Their coffee is quite nice as well.

CO/OP is your neighborhood hangout spot serving great food, with a good ambiance. Upon entry one will notice that the restaurant ambiance is a little rustic chic. Guests have to order from the counter. While waiting for food to arrive, guests can also stroll around the restaurant since the place is partly a shop that sells trinkets and unique novelty items by underground artists. It is a nice place to hang out with friends for a wonderful nightcap. Too bad they are open till 10:30PM only.

Their menu items are pretty straight forward. Serving Cashel food items from appetizers, salads, main dishes and pastas as well as drinks and desserts. For the main dish they have the house special corn beef and the tartufo pasta. For the desserts, we highly recommend the coffee flavored crepe cake and the salted caramel cheesecake. For the drinks, their CO/OP ice tea is a must try, as well as their iced coffee. For the adventurous ones, do try their Stanford and Shaw Ginger Ale. It is locally brewed, and has an an acquired taste compared to the commercial kind. Definitely, do try the place because it surely is quite different from the usual hang out spots in the metro!

Their salted caramel cheesecake caught my eye. It turned out to be quite a nice catch if I do say so myself. The cake was sweet and smooth and the caramel was rich, gooey and thick. Just the way I like it. I could have used a bit more caramel though.

I had the mac and cheese in this place. I originally just wanted to try their coffee but I got hungry so that is what I got. It actually went well with the coffee. I will definitely go back here armed with my tablet and just chill.

Cozy is the word I would definitely associate with this place. The first few times I was here I got so relaxed I was not able to work as planned. I do not know if that was good or bad. I think in some cases I found it a lot cozier than my house. I usually order an americano in this place.  Their coffee is really good.

Love their dessert selection! The s'mores cupcake, chocolate cake, and coffee creme brûlée are all so gooooood ❤️❤️ The Tartufo pasta is also worth mentioning-just the right amount of creaminess and the mushroom taste was just right, not overpowering. The exterior and interior of the place is very cozy and inviting too. They sell all sorts of trinkets, bags, and things apart from yummy food! Definitely a must-visit.

The place is inviting basically because of its urban chic look... This is a cafe and a curio store at the same time though the stuffs are pricey perhaps because most of the items are handmade. The food are prepared well by their in house chef truly passionate about the taste and look of the food. Limited menu yet they have variety. Their desserts are good but not remarkable. Overall if you are looking for a new twist from every day hustle and bustle this place can offer you comfort.

Late dinner date at co/op.

We ordered the tomato soup, Caesar salad and the Tartufo pasta (which I forgot to take a photo of!)

Co/op is very consistent with their food. I was very happy with the salad. The bacon strips were thick like ham. The dressing was perfect too.

The tomato soup was good as well but I feel the recipe we use a home is better (haha!!).

Their Tartufo pasta was unfailingly perfect! Well I wish they tore up the pancetta and mix it in the pasta vs rolling the two strips up and using it as decor. Nevertheless it was great!

The servings are good for 1.5 pax so don't order too much if you're alone.

I egged my bestfriend into a free dinner one Saturday and was brought to this place. Given her choices of menu, I had second thoughts but lo and behold! I was quickly charmed by the place. If one wants quiet and private, this is definitely the place to go to.
We ordered Shrimp Bistro and was delighted to see that the serving is big enough for a ravenous couple. The taste is pleasant but as most say, is quite ordinary.
The Nachos was equally a big order good enough to feed my team during off-site meetings. This one tasted more of-the-place goodness.
We could not order much because, really, we are both light eaters and we spent most of time chatting the night away.
Loved the lemonade because it tasted so good I thought it was freshly juiced!

I promised to give this artsy nook a second chance so I will come back and check it out again but during their soft launch, I was disappointed with their Truffle Pasta and their sandwich wasn't mouth-watering either. But this place is so beautiful you wouldn't mind the food is so bad. Get yourself a cup of coffee and inhale the interior madness!

CO/OP is a hidden gem among the streets of San Juan. Doubling as a coffee shop and a home store, it's clear to see why this has come to be one of my favorite places to go to in the area. Converted from a real house, the glass facade gives you a feel of the inside--quirky, warm and smart. Parking is not a problem on most days with its spacious gravel lawn in front.

The staff are all polite and well-trained, which is important mostly in places like this one. It was my second time to try their salted caramel cheesecake which has become one of my favorite cheesecakes ever despite its sweetness. The cake slice is plated delicately on a caramel-drizzled plate just in case you haven't had enough of the chocolate yet. I was also able to try one of their sandwiches before which were pricey but came in with fries and greens. Food here is a bit pricey but coffee isn't, which can balance everything out.

I recommend this place for an afternoon of reading, brainstorming or even to impress that artsy person on a first date. They also have a Pop-up Space coming soon which I think might me similar to how the sell art goods in blank spaces in Escolta. Pretty excited for this!

It's a nice modern classy place as if you eat at a forest cafe , what I like most is the parking, you can bring your nice ride here,I ordered roasted tomato soup and chicken pesto. With lemon juice, I consider the tomato soup the best but second only to yellow cab, the pasta had big servings

CO/OP MANILA is a house-turned-lifestyle store and café in San Juan selling hip goods and comfort food. The name was inspired by the "cooperation" of the cousins who founded it.

It's a refreshingly unique homegrown store, something Manila could really use amidst the spreading of international chains.

Here's what to expect at CO/OP Manila and some improvement suggestions...

They offer the owners' comfort food favorites. The pricing is a bit on the high side.

The ambiance is industrial chic, with a high ceiling to make it conducive for meetings and hanging out with friends.

I love the Helen Dardik illustrations of kids and animals adorning the brick walls.

The lifestyle store currently showcases unique products that the owners like and are not available anywhere else in Manila. The focus is mostly on home and gift items.

I couldn't resist buying the "Zombies Hate Stuff" book (P500). Looks like I got cool daddy points for this because the kids want me to read it over and over again. :)

CO/OP is worth checking out if you're looking for home inspirations and kitschy items.

Their stuff looks really cool, but you have to ask yourself if you really need them before buying.

The logo of CO/OP is based on the Jackalope, a mythical creature which is a cross between a jackrabbit and antelope.

CO/OP Manila was founded by Polly Caragay with cousins Christine Lee (not in photo) and siobe Michelle Chan.

Most of the products are currently imported but they will have items from local artists soon.

The wall-mounted head trophies are cute and more animal-friendly.

✮ SPANAKOPITAS (P235 +10% service charge). Baked Phyllo Dough filled with Caramelized Onions, Shrimp, & Cheese (5 pieces).

I love the crispy thin phyllo crust with a hint of the filling's flavor. Something unique to start with.

✮ ROASTED TOMATO SOUP (Bowl - P190 +10% service charge).

I like this homemade tomato soup. Thick with a strong roasted tomato flavor.

HARVEST SALAD (P230 +10% service charge). Asian Pears, Grapes, Caramelized Walnuts, Bleu Cheese, and Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette.

The salad was good but the lettuce and pear slices were a bit worn out already.

STRAWBERRY LEMONADE (P150 +10% service charge).

Strawberry lemonade has a really strong, full-bodied flavor but for P150, it would have been better with chewy or popping sago.

LUGHANINI (P410 +10% service charge). Penne with Lughanini Sausage and Stewed Tomato Sauce.

This tastes ordinary and does not justify its price tag.

CO-OP-29.jpg

✮ WHITE FISH (P415 +10% service charge). Dory and Kani Remoulade with Emmental on Ciabatta Bread.

Love the combination of the fish and shrimp flavors with the emmental cheese. The presentation of the sandwich can still be improved though.

CO-OP-31.jpg

✮ GOAT CHEESE (P360 +10% service charge). Goat Cheese, Grilled Peaches, Prosciutto, Arugula, and Aioli on Ciabatta bread.

An awesome combination of prosciutto with arugula, balanced with the creaminess of aioli, the flavor of the goat cheese, and the sweetness of the grilled peaches. :)

BREWED COFFEE (P80 +10% service charge).

The coffee was good. I like the café ambiance of the place.

CHOCOLATE CAKE (P150 +10% service charge).

The cake was also not bad. Just the right moistness and chocolate flavor.

COOKIES (P65 +10% service charge).

Homemade chocolate cookie for Rache. :)

CO/OP Manila is very promising. I'm sure the ambiance would be even lovelier at night.

Gift items are unique and well-curated. Hopefully, they'll have items from local artists and other local handmade products soon.

Food is OK; a bit expensive since you are paying for the ambiance. I recommend the Spanakopitas, Tomato Soup, and Goat Cheese Sandwich. Budget at P500/head.

This is sure to be a successful venture because Manila is craving for unique homegrown lifestyle places like this! :)

New to Zomato but just had to sign up to review this place. After driving by every day for months I finally decided to stop in and give it a try and am SO glad that I did! The food was great and is decently priced for the size of the portions so next time I will definitely have to bring friends.

For starters, I had the baked potato soup. It really is like a baked potato turned into a hearty soup. It's creamy, potato-y and flavorful with bits of bacon sprinkled on top. Delicious.

For the main dish I had the Shrimp Diablo pasta and it was awesome. Pasta was cooked al dente (I HATE overcooked pasta!) and the sauce was very tasty and mildly spicy. Overall, very flavorful and quite enjoyable.

Topped off my meal with a slice of the salted caramel cheesecake and it was the perfect finish to an already great meal. My only regret was that I didn't have a bigger stomach or didn't bring friends so we could order more. No matter, ill be back and next time I will bring reinforcements!

It's also worth noting that the other half of the restaurant is set up as a store selling all kinds of stuff from home goods to stuff for kids. I didn't really look through the store much, but will probably look around more next time as one of my friends would totally love that part. This time around was just about the food and I definitely think that CO/OP is worth checking out and coming back to again, and again...and again. I will definitely be coming back here...probably often...

Co/Op is San Juan's hidden gem. I mean that literally because I got lost looking for the place! The place is reason enough to go there, but the food? Not so much. Expect pricey grub, but you can really get productive in this quiet and creative juice inducing cafe.

The interiors of this place is amazing, as well as the minimalist exterior. The place reminds you of an industrial warehouse with high ceilings, metal furnishings and brick walls. It's both a lifestyle store and a restaurant, filled with quirky furniture and knick knacks. The place is very roomy and peaceful, so mingling, chatting, or any kind of personal communication is encouraged.

For the food, I got to try a sampler of the Tartufo pasta with prosciutto, brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries, and harvest salad with their house iced tea. For dessert, we got the S'mores cupcake

Tartufo Pasta (Php 370 for full size) was so good. It was al dente, and not heavy on the cream. It's also seasoned just right, and the prosciutto adds extra bite to everything. I highly recommend this dish to any one who loves good white sauce!

Brisket Sandwich (php 390 for full size, comes with gravy and sweet potato fries) I only got to try one fourth of the usual serving, so I'm not sure how to judge this. The sandwich was already room temp when I tasted it, so the brisket was a bit greasy and dry. The beef is sandwiched between buttered toast that was a bit too chewy for my taste. I loved the sweet potato fries though. They were really crispy, and salted just right, and the sweet potato flavor was still there! Yeah, the sandwich is supposed to be the star of this dish, but I loved the fries better.

The harvest salad (Php 280 for full serving) was nothing special, sure I love vinaigrette, and candied walnuts, and pears, but the dish is just that, tossed ingredients. I like how the pear and lettuce were both very crisp and fresh.

For the S'mores cupcake (Php 75), I wasn't crazy about it. I would have preferred it to be warm, with marshmallow melted and gooey. I think that would have elevated the cupcake. Otherwise, it was just good ol' moist chocolate cupcake topped with marshmallow for me.

I like how the iced tea was served in pretty mason jars and on top of scrabble print cork coasters. It just adds to the whole hipster-ness of the restaurant. The service is good too, there are a lot of servers, and they're all very attentive.

Overall, i would definitely come back because this place looks like somewhere I can unwind and have many laughs with friends.

Oh, and note that my platter is just a sampler of the dishes I stated, I was told that the full sized dishes are actually good for sharing, hence the prices.

It's a lifestyle store with a restaurant where you could just chill and catch up with your friends. It could also be a perfect dating spot, your gf will surely love the place bacuse its really unique and has a homey ambiance. Food is a bit costly but I think for the food quality it's worth it. We'll definitely come back and share it to our friends.

Before I tell you why I love this place, I will let you know the one disappointment I had. They burned the coffee :( If you're reading this Co/Op, next time 92 Celsius please, and after boiling, not right before or else a perfectly good Italian blend will turn bitter in a second. Less 0.5 for now ;)

But... Overall, an awesome place for the following reasons:
- Hubby and I have found another watering hole. Mind you, it gets really traffic out front during peak hours so plan ahead to enjoy the peace and quiet.
- They make a damn good Tartufo pasta and Prosciutto with Goat Cheese sandwich. If they can make these simple dishes perfectly, then I trust everything else on the menu.
- The ambiance is perfect for story dates with Hubby.

I will be back, and for those tempting Smores cupcakes.

Place looks amazing! Love the design and the products. Its really different from your usual stores.

Food = very good. I'd say my favorites were the salmon pasta , spanakopitas (kani curry) and the cheese potato soup :D

Don't be fooled by the normal looking serving, had the pastrami sandwich and potato soup one time and i was already stuffed! Almost everything from the menu is good for sharing :)

Try it out if you havent yet! Definitely a different experience or a good place to go on a date ;)

P.s. Try the cheesecake or big bad brookie (cookie brownie) if you're looking for something sweet :)
