A true hole-in-the-wall type of resto in the heart of GH, the steak, although small in terms of servings, is so delicious! The steak is great, so worth trying!
Came here for a late lunch, right before they closed for the dinner prep. The service is great and the T bone steak is always juicy, as we usually get it done medium. We also tried the Hainanese chicken which is quite lean but still very, very soft and tender. Their rice is very flavorful and fragrant. Thanks guys, for keeping up with the consistency and quality over the years.

I was a bit dubious at first because the place is called βHai Chix & Steaksβ. Hainanese chicken place that serves good steak? What?
Anyway, curiosity got to me and one Saturday evening my friend and I were looking for a place to have dinner in Greenhills.
We had a bit of trouble locating this place. Customers also need to climb a flight of stairs with steep steps which looked a bit sketchy because it was a bit dark.
But overall weβre happy with the food.
What we ordered
- Medium rare 330g ribeye steak with fries
- Hainanese chicken with chicken rice
They got the steakβs doneness right and it was tender. Itβs packed with flavor, but not over-seasoned. It lives up to its reputation.
Hainanese chicken was good but comparable to other places which serve this too. We liked the chili though.
Service
- Okay. They charged us for bottomless iced tea when my friend just ordered a single serve. Minor thing and they corrected it immediately.
Ambience & Cleanliness
- Place had a chill vibe to it. Cleanliness was so-so. One part of the table was a little bit sticky, but thatβs just my friend who was sensitive to those things.
Will definitely be considering this place next time Iβm craving for steak.
Amazing steak! π The best of the best
Their pasta was cooked well, though a bit salty. Their shrimps were cooked perfectly and the steak from the paella was smoky.
Best steak ever! The steak here is definitely a 5! But the hainanese chicken is too small. If they improve their serving of other dishes this will definitely be a 5.
Tried their steamed hainanese chicken rice, laksa and house salad. The steamd hainanese chicken rice is very authentic. Price is very worth it for zomato gold members.
The baby back ribs + callos pasta is 100% value for money when you get it on Zomato Gold. (Note: the steak is not included on Gold).
Not sure if the cooking that night is standard, but for me the steak lacked the tenderness I was expecting. Because of this, I would recommend getting the items that are available on Zomato Gold, and just getting your steak fix elsewhere.
First things first, thank you Zomato Gold!!!
Almost half of this spread was complimentary,
What we had:
Butter Garlic Shrimps
Salpicao
Chicken Wings
BBQ Ribs
Laksa
Hainanese Chicken
Steak Paella
All I can say is that everything is good except the Laksa which needs work, all in all, will definitely be back
Had the following dishes:
Laksa: not my favorite laksa as I wish I could taste the curry and spices more.
Truffle Cream Pasta: it was good but I still have other places I would go to for truffle pasta instead.
Chef's wings: just okay. Quite a small serving.
Garlic Butter Shrimp: I love the excessive amount of garlice in this dish. Shrimp was cooked nicely
330g Ribeye(comes with either steak rice or fries) : I enjoyed that they added the small Crispy steak bits around the actual steak and the oil at the side. I find it pricey but it's good.
I liked that the waitress would refill my water. Something I always need. I find the venue a bit cold though.
Staple on their menu is the porterhouse steak. Its good for 3, and does not ever disappoint. Only if you're really a beef guy you'd find you can finish one order on your own! Free bottle of wine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and it could really make your night. :) Took off one star because of the noise and lack of comfortable seating, other than that, food is good. :)
Service great but some of the staff were not familiar with Zomato Gold mechanics. Steak was over cooked but I wasnβt expecting masterful food preparation. Parking non existent but thatβs not really about the restaurant. Overall this is a place to go if you donβt mind going up stairs and paying a fair amount for mediocre but definitely passable steak.
UPDATE: I went again in October 2019. Steak much better prepared than last time and free corkage if you buy wine from Wine Depot downstairs.
Great food! Tried their Angus ribeye. Will definitely come back for sure to try their other food. Rated 4 stars because their comfort room was dirty...
The place is very unassuming and, frankly, quite dubious at first glance. The place opens at 6pm for dinner and one has to climb up a dark stairs beside a bank branch office after business hours. However, one goes here for the food. The place is famous for their steak and theu do not disappoint. Their other menu options like the fish and chips and laksa soup are also great. Many steakhouses try to copy Peter Luger's steak and I think Hai Chix is the most successful in this area among its competitiors in Manila. The price for the quality of steak they serve is also relatively more affordable at less than php4000 for the pictured steak and 2 cups of steak rice for 2. I just wish they can be more creative, or at least, expansive, when it comes to their side dishes and desserts menu. Then, I can say, they have truly hit the spot.
Great great great service.
The servers were very knowledgeable, polite and attentive.
Their steak was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked ( medium rare ) which I appreciated alot.
Their gambas was on point as well.
Their curry laksa soup was delicious and the serving was big.
Definitely coming back.
Took my girlfriend out on a date, ordered the steak, laksa, and the shrimp. Turned out to be one of the best dates if had.
The ambiance brings out a chillness to it, creating this never ending spiral of good vibes and even greater food.
It makes taking the stairs a whole lot fun!
Review as of November 2018
This place has a quite silly name such that you'd be tempted to pass up dining here but that's a silly mistake to make because the food here is quite remarkable. It's not easy pinpointing exactly what they offer here because there's western comforts like pasta and steaks but then also available are distinctly Asian dishes such as Laksa and Hainanese Chicken π
The steak here gets all the acclaim and we tried it out to see for ourselves--it is well seasoned, juicy and above all, fat (check out the photo and see for yourself). A bit to fatty for my preference but it's worth trying so do try it for yourself as well.
Dishes I've tried recommendations are marked with a star (π)
- Buffalo Wings
- US Angus Ribeye 650g
Had a strong craving for steak and I wanted a place nearby sk we ended up here. Its on the 2nd floor, I hate the killer stairs but if anything it got me hungrier for the steak.
Place had decent rustic interiors, for a Saturday lunch hour there weren't too many tables occupied. The menu didn't have a lot of items which for me is a good thing. We got the porter house steak, house salad and butter garlic shrimp. I also got myself a glass of their house wine.
Steak was cooked well at medium, tender and flavorful. I actually prefer this over the neighboring steak place right in front (lol i won't name it). It was a generous serving, good for 4 people sharing. The steak came with rice so ut was a complete meal already.
Service was quick and staff was attentive.
I like it here, will probably be my default steak place now.
If youβre a fan of marinated steaks, Hai Chix is the place to be!! steak tasted so juicy, fatty and salty. loved it!
their garlic shrimp with focaccia bread is good and so tasty.... i could eat it everyday (sorry forgot to take a picture of the shrimp).
however, their shrimp bisque soup was too bland. i wouldnβt recommend it.
As for the ambiance, i like it that the place is just casual and cozy. servers are ok.
Great for dinner out with friends/family. If you want to splurge a little for dinner, order the US Angus Ribeye or Porterhouse, you will not regret it. Tried them both but it really depends on the person if which he/she will prefer more. On my first visit, we ordered the Angus Ribeye and on the second, both the Ribeye and Porterhouse. Some of my friends preferred the Porterhouse but for me on both visits, I like the Angus Ribeye more. Both steaks are tender and juicy and the fatty portion are turned to like chicharon toppings. Also tried the gambas, small serving size like 6-7 pcs of shrimps but the taste is worth the price.
My family and I were in Greenhills and decided on having some American Cuisine for an early Wednesday dinner as we were craving for a good, thick and juicy steak. Fortunately, one of us remembered Hai Chix & Steaks was nearby. Ordered the the Angus Ribeye of course and boy was it good! Order it medium rare or youβll be committing a crime! The Hainanese Chicken was okay. Itβs comparable to other places weβve tried. The butter garlic shrimp was tasty. I liked that it had the right amount of spiciness. The Hanger Steak pasta was a bit on the oily side, but flavorful enough to satisfy and the Fish and Chips was really good. It was crispy, flaky and moist.
Delicious food. Worth every centavo. The Porterhouse Angus Steaks were huge and packed with flavour. The Garlic Shrimp was one of my favourite too. The Greenhills Branch has great service. Better than the branch in Pasig. They do run out of certain steak cuts so it might be good to call and pre-order if you have a preference.
Porterhouse with trimmings on top. Youβre doing it right. Take my stars. After I ate here I got good dreams for a week and the Philippines became a 1st world country.
I was still dreaming.
We ordered the US Angus Rib-eye steak and BBQ half rack ribs. The steak, at medium done, was juicier than the ribs, which was a bit dry but sweet.
Also a bit pricey but manageable!
The best time to come is around the lunch hourβfor there is not much competition. A lot of FREE space!
Too bad there are no mashed potatoes on the menu. :(
Excellent food. Asian wings, laksa, wagyu rice with shrimps, fish fillet. Everything we tried was delicious. Place looks great as well. Only difficulty for some might be the long stairs up to the entrance.
The Hainanese chicken rice was among the best I've ever had (not that I've had a lot). The chicken was perfectly cookedΒ and ridiculously juicy. The whole dish is in a happy sweet spot where it's packedΒ with flavor, but it's light enough that it's hard to stop eating once you start. I finished mine quickly without really thinking about it, even if I would have wanted to savor it more. This is the must-try dish, and I would easily return just for this. My only real complaint is that it was a bit smaller than expected, but I won't complain about the quality.
Unfortunately, the laksa isn't anywhere near as good. It's just mediocre and kind of forgettable.
Too expensive for a very casual place. It should be okay, but the utensils are not nice to give a good dining experience. Steak a bit tough, taste is good though. Loved your wings and bbq sauce. Iβd rather eat at mamou for this price.
Hainanese rice was not available.
Tried the Hainanese chicken rice and the half rack bbq back ribs (in pic). Food tasted so-so, the hainanese chicken did not have the overwhelming ginger flavor which is a pleasant surprise. The sauce had variety, the spicy one definitely had a kick to it. The ribs were tender and did not abnormally fall off the bone. The taste of the food was okay, they could lower the price a bit and add more serving and it will definitely be a 5.
Protip: buy 3 beers, get 1 free. Great promo! β€οΈ
I like the ambiance as it is not very formal.Β Food that we had tasted amazing.Β
Butter Garlic Shrimp - Addicting.Β Β
Fish and Chips - The batter tasted great.Β Dip it in Mustard Honey sauce and it gives that more distinct flavor.Β
US Angus Cheeseburger with Fries - Really good! One of the best I've tried.Β
Apple Pie - It was served hot.Β Love the smell of apple and cinnamon altogether
Asian Soy Glaze Wings - Favorite of all the things we ordered. The Soy Garlic flavor wrapped the chicken to the fullest.Β
Will definitely go back to this restaurant.
One of my favorite steak places to dine in, if not the top choice, Hai Chix and Steaks offers great quality steaks at an affordable price.
TIPS:
+MUST ORDER #1 Porterhouse Steak, a combination strip and tenderloin, done Peter Luger style (with the toasted fat on top), this is excellent for 3 people. Comes with 3 sides of either steak rice or fries. Go for the Steak Rice. You won't regret it. (caveat, the one in their original branch is still the best version of the steak rice, but GH is about 80% as good but it's less flavorful and salty, I think)
+MUST ORDER #2 If you're only 1 or 2 people, you can't go wrong with the Ribeye, the 300g is good for one hungry person or 2 people plus another dish. With one steak rice. They have a double sized one for sharing.
+MUST ORDER #3 Garlic Shrimp. Slather their bread with the garlic, the shrimp and, did I mention the garlic?
Others that are okay to try too.
+Hainanese Chicken (I prefer the steamed over the fried but it depends on what you prefer; either way, this plus the Hainan rice, is v good)
+Lobster Bisque
+Wings
+Clams Pasta
+Calamares
+Ribs

The clams pasta tasted great. I asked for more lemon and it tasted even better!
The steak wasn't as tender as I thought it would be but it was tasty. They included the toasted fats and stuff that turned into tasty crumbs. The rice was tasty as well. The corn tasted weird...?
If it was just a tiny bit less expensive, i'd give a higher rating. (Hogs & Cattle serves really tender unlimited wagyu for less than 1k)
parking was quite small probably best to come there early or can always park at greenhills shopping center.but on the otherhand, service is good, loved the food especially the hainanese chicken rice.
ribeye steak paella-3.8/5.
buffalo wings-4/5
will surely come back.
Visited this place on a Saturday night and it was jam-packed! Most of the guests were families with kids so imagine a very small place with some kids running around and/or kids getting noisy. With this environment around you, it was really hard to have a decent conversation. Maybe Hai Chix can consider fixing up the place so that the noise wouldnβt bounce so much.
For the food, we ordered Salpicao for our appetizer and a US Angus Ribeye 330g to share. Weirdly, the salpicao was served last. So much for an appetizer. At first glance, I has a bit hesitant to try the salpicao because it was swimming in oil and it had parmesan cheese on top. I expected salpicao to be more garlicky than cheesy. It was really bland for a salpicao dish. For the ribeye, it was super good! Some people might find the beef a bit salty but I have a high tolerance for salty food so yeah there. The meat was soft, tender and juicy. The Japanese Steak Rice that was served with the ribeye was delicious also!
ββ
Second time in Hai Chix and we still got the same orders!
πΈ Beef Salpicao (Php 320)
Surprisingly, the salpicao for this visit is way better than my first. It still had cheese on top but fewer bits so it was tolerable and/or easy to remove. It still had a good, garlicky taste.
πΈ US Angus Rib-Eye Steak, 330 grams (Php 1650)
An order of this includes a side dish (corn) and a cup of steak rice. Taste was still consistent - no burnt taste, balanced flavor. The fatty parts of the steak had the saltiest taste so watch out for that.
πΉ Rib-Eye Paella (Php 550)
Probably one of the priciest items on the menu because of its small serving. The rice was placed on a black pot and topped with rib-eye steak. The steak was thin and had a very bland taste. We had to season it to appreciate it more. The rice was so-so.
πΉ Japanese Steak Rice (Php 970)
According to the menu, this dish had wagyu in it so my sister ordered it for herself. As expected, the dish was good for at least 2 people. It included a cup of rice and the wagyu steak cubes (with shrimps) were placed in a sizzling plate. There was something on the bottom part of the sizzling plate that made the steak cubes really sour. I forgot to ask what that was though.
Btw, we got the Beef Salpicao for free because we used an HSBC card to pay.
Ordered the steak paella and half-slab babyback ribs, masarap siya. We like the taste of the steak sa paella, and yung price ay friendly. Steady place siya, yun nga lang mahirap hanapin and the stairs takes some getting used to. Will try their other steak/s nektaymn! ππ
Donβt you just love it when you set expectations and they donβt disappoint? This is exactly what I experience during one of my gastronomic conquests. I had a scheduled catch-up with one of my best college friends one Sunday afternoon. I didnβt ate that morning or lunch even, so I was pretty much dying of hunger when we met up late that afternoon.
Looking for less than 5000Php to take out your loved one on a fancy date?!
HAI CHIX!!!
Their steaks are just awesome! Really good food and great place to take someone out on a date. Its cozy and you and your loved on could really have some talk.
The food here is great!(knowing that the Porterhouse is only 3000+ so it suited your budget. HA!
Will definitely take Stephen Lim here on a date!
I've heard of Hai Chix & Steaks from my friends before, and I remember them saying that it was really good. And honestly, I wasn't let down by the quality of their food and service. It's a bit shameful how hidden this place is, because their food (especially the steaks!!) are really great! (Maybe they can add fairy lights along the staircase to make the way up more noticeable and more invitingβ¨)
-Porterhouse (it says good for 3 pax but I think it's really big and could feed around 4-5.): The meat was really tender and oozing with flavor. Those flavorful bits on top? Ohh those are the glorious fat trimmings that give it that extra dimension of flavor, such a guilty pleasure!
-Ribeye: Just like the Porterhouse but with a different cut. A bit fattier than the former. But also great flavors and tender meat!
-Hainanese Chicken Rice: was expecting it to be an out of the world experience because it's what their restaurant is basically called. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the ginger and other sauces are what make it pop. A "predictable" Hainanese chicken dish.
-Manila Clams Pasta: good balance of cream and other flavors. Filling and not at all /nakakaumay/.
-Butter Garlic Shrimp: tender and a great appetizer while you're waiting for your steak ;)
-Curry Laksa: not a laksa expert (only tried it twice in my life) but I felt like it was too thick? But overall good flavors and made with fresh ingredients that make it a really nice soup to cleanse the palette with.
-Ribeye Steak Paella: great combo! Rice and steak with all of those ingredients and flavors that make up a paella make the dish more exciting! Like a party in your mouth.
-Fish & Chips: really sulit! Serving size is really big. And I love how the breading has a "light crunch" and not at all oily.
-Buffalo Wings: crispy and had a mild spice to it that made the vinegar a perfect combo.
-Hai Chix Adobo: the hainanese chicken with adobo sauce. I preferred the original hai chix better, because the adobo version was a bit salty for my taste.
-Apple Pie w/ ice cream, Sansrival, Lava cake were all spectacular! My favorite was the sansrival because it was light and had that buttery nutty crunch that I love in desserts!

I've heard a lot aboutΒ Hai Chix & SteaksΒ and it has been highly recommended by friends. I know that my carnivore husband would want to visit but Green Hills can be a tough destination for South people. The news of a Makati branch was music to our ears but I've heard that the quality is not the same. So I decided to letΒ Hai Chix & SteaksΒ go, leaving our chance of visiting to destiny LOL
Personally given a choice between meat and seafood, I will always choose the latter. You can say I'm not a carnivore unlike most people who love their steaks.
.
However, the rib eye steak of Hai Chix & Steaks restaurant made a convert out of me. The tender, succulent and juicy slab of meat is heaven on my palate. It was sinful and heavy on my stomach yet it was scrumptious. I enjoyed every delicious bite especially the crispy toppings.

I recently went to Hai Chix & Steaks in Greenhills, San Juan on a sponsored invite by Zomato. The restaurant, which is located beside this new commercial complex along Missouri Street, is actually difficult to spot at night since the place lacks proper lighting from the outside. If you couldn't park in front of their establishment, you may actually park outside the commercial complex next door and pay the fee of Php100.
If you happened to be a meatlover, or know someone who loves good quality meat dishes at reasonable prices, then come on over at Hai Chix & Steaks for such. Their restaurant is actually known for their selection of premium steaks, aside from their signature Hainanese chicken rice.
This visit to Hai Chix & Steaks is definitely a feast to remember. We had their flavorful and tender porterhouse and ribeye, as well as their Hainanese adobo chicken. Other dishes that we were served with that are memorable for me are their spicy curry laksa, their creamy Manila clams pasta, and their savory buttered garlic shrimps.
I am personally not a fan of steaks or Singaporean food, but Hai Chix's dishes just made me reconsider my top food choices as I was impressed with their cooking. Another item from their menu that is worth trying is their buffalo wings. It was tasty all over and good on its own; there's no need to flavor it up with extra seasoning.
As for their desserts, we had a generous serving of their apple pie ala mode, their buttery sans rival cake, and their lava cake, with the latter to be included in their menu soon. I will definitely be back here at Hai Chix & Steaks to have my happy fill of awesome food.
Hai Chix & Steaks Greenhills is a very cozy place plus the food is super good.
My favorite so far is the Porter House Steak especially the one on top of it ( it's a like crunchy chicharon but made out of steak as well ). I highly recommend this place for those steak lovers because they have a different twist in terms of the steaks they serve. Must Try !
Hands down the best steak I have had in a really long time! The Rib Eye and the Porterhouse are a must! I personally prefer the rib eye more if you want the taste of the garlic to come out and the crisp edges. If you are more for the meat taste, go for the porterhouse. Either way, they are both very very (very) good :)
Tender, juicy, not overpowering, and stayed to the classic way of making steak, Hai Chix sure did it the way it should be done! Kudos to all who mastered the art of making a really good steak together with using the best quality.
One surprising dish that got me craving for more was their fish and chips. You would think that the fish used to make this dish can be ordinary as it is covered by breading but not for this. The fish inside was quite generous and it would melt in your mouth. Yumyum!
Another dish that is a show stopper is their laksa. Quite interesting in a restaurant that is known for their steak, their other dishes are well crafted. Their laksa has just the right amount of spice in it that it will make you sip more and more.
They even have a free bottle of wine for every order of Porterhouse from Mon-Tues so what are you waiting for? Go get that steak and wine right now! I'm on my way already :)
A little trivia first!
Hai Chix and Steaks is short for Hainanese Chicken and Steaks.
The ambience of the restaurant makes you feel at home. It borders on the category of casual and elegant dining. It looks simple yet elegant.
Here's a list of what they served. The ones with my comment are the ones that stood out for me.
-Porterhouse good for 3 pax P3250
This one is tastier than the ribeye and more tender as well. I actually prefer this one rather than the ribeye.
-Hainanese Chicken Rice P280
-Manila Clams Pasta P270
-Butter Garlic Shrimp P295
Good! Who doesn't like shrimp?
-Curry Laksa P220
-Ribeye Steak Paella P550
-Fish & Chips P295
-Buffalo Wings P295
-Ribeye (good for 2) P2750
-Apple Pie w/ ice cream P200
Recommended!
-Sansrival P150
Recommended as well! I super like this one cos it's siksik
-Chicken Sandwich P225
-Hai Chix Adobo P340
They also served us lava cake which will be available this week (2nd week of March) according to the owners. You should try it!
This place is perfect if you're craving for steak and beer cos they offer both! Also perfect for friends, family, and couples!
I am definitely coming back to have more of their steak, laksa, and desserts.
Hai Chix and Steaks is arguably one of the more remarkable steakhouses in the Metro. The dimly lit interiors and dark furniture, not to mention the secluded location, make it a great place for rendezvous or dates. These characteristics, along with the industrial feel of the place, make it suitable for more mature audiences. The Greenhills branch was actually quite hidden from the plain view. If you didn't see the quaint sign in front of the establishment, you would miss it.
This restaurant is easy to find. Β Just right at the side of Promenade. Β Ambiance was well lit. Β It was cozy and a bit industrial. For the food, just like the name, they serve mostly Steak and Hainanese Chicken. Β Here's what we had:
-Porterhouse good for 3 for P3,250
Very tasty. The butter with it smelled and tasted so good. It was cooked medium rare and it's just perfect. What I love most is the crispy bits on top. Just kinda like bacon but this one is much healthier. Rice was cooked with its own oil that is why their steak rice is also a must try.
-Hainanese Chicken Rice P280
Chicken was well cooked and was tender.
Perfectly simmered to have that rich gingerly flavor.
-Manila Clams Pasta P270
I find this dish too oily but surprisingly it doesn't have that strong clams flavor.
-Butter Garlic Shrimp P295
I am a Shrimp lover so this is one of my favorite. The fried garlic on top and olive oil added flavor to it which I find so delicious. The bread that comes with it is a perfect pair.
-Curry Laksa P220
This was hot and spicy. Noodles are cooked al dente and tofu was just yum.
-Ribeye Steak Paella P550
The smell makes you want to dig in right away. All that bell peppers and garlic and beans with the Rice just smelled so good when served. Β The stripped Ribeye Steak on top was cooked medium rare as well. It's so tender and the flavor is all throughout. Β
-Fish & Chips P295
I love this dish a lot. The batter tasted good with the fish. Dip it in butter sauce and you're lost.
-Ribeye (good for 2) P2750
Just like Porterhouse, it has the same processed of cooking but the difference is just the part. Β Still, the crispy bits was the bomb!Β
-Chicken Sandwich P225
I was a bit surprised as the bread was burnt when it was served but according to the Chef, it was meant to be cooked that way as the burnt part adds that smokey Italian flavor. Β This sandwich is good too.
-Hai Chix Adobo P340
This dish was cooked twice. Β That is probably why this is so special. Β At least for me. It was cooked the Hainanese way and then Adobo. Β I liked this more than the traditional Hainanese Chicken.Β
-Apple Pie w/ ice cream P200
This Apple pie is addictive. Β At first, it's just a regular Apple pie but when the ice cream already melts, it seemed like another flavor of ice cream just came out of nowhere.
-Sansrival P150
The cashew. Yes the cashew! I love this Sansrival. Β It's not too sweet. Β Just perfect!
Now be ready for their Lava cake as it will be released on the menu soon.Β
Overall, Hai Chix and Steak is highly recommended for that romantic date or even family and friends night out. Β Order a glass of wine for only 200.

One of the things I remembered from watching hell's kitchen is that it is very difficult to pull off a fusion dish for it requires balance not just on the flavors but also on the identity of the dish--it must reflect both cuisines it is representing.
If a fusion dish is already something that requires a lot of skills, what more operating a whole fusion restaurant?--That's what set Hai Chix and Steaks apart from others. Most of its dishes are prepared through careful R&D and are continuously improved to make sure they match the Filipino taste and preference.
Some noteworthy dishes that I highly recommend are the Hai Chix Adobo (Not in the menu- Php 340), Hainanese Chicken Sandwich (Php 225), Fish and Chips (Php 295), Butter Garlic Shrimp (Php 295), and of course, their Ribeye Steak (Good for 2 - Php 2750). The Hai Chix Adobo's (Filipino X Singaporean) salty-sweet taste complements well with the sharp and fragrant fried ginger sauce (served on the side). It is best paired with the savory chicken rice. Same with the Hainanese Chicken Rice (Singaporean X American) which is served with a special sauce made from the fat used in cooking the chicken filling--It's sweet and tangy with a hint of salty.
For their non fusion dishes, the fish and chips' (UK) batter was cooked to crispy perfection--not too thin yet not too thick. The fish inside was still very juicy and the seasoning of the tartar sauce was on point. π―The butter garlic shrimp may look normal but you'll be surprised when you pair it with the toasted bread on the side; you'd want the whole serving just for yourself. The shrimp, fried garlic, and parmesan on top's flavors were infused to the olive oil which made it more special.
For the steaks, we were serve with both the porterhouse steak and the ribeye but I find the ribeye more juicy and flavorful. The fat used to lard the steak was trimmed, cubed, and fried until crispy. I love how it added texture to the melt-in-your-mouth steak already cooked to medium doneness.
For the curry laksa, I couldn't taste the curry in it and I thought it was just a normal laksa until I saw its menu name. They could have also added a bit more coconut milk and chili to round the flavor of the soup. Nevertheless, it was a good dish.
I would recommend this place to my family and friends given its good food. You would definitely get a great value of your money. I would like to also commend their executive chef because of his dedication to check and make sure that all its branches serve consistent quality.
P.S. They also serve wine guys!!! Perfect pair for the steak. π They have an ongoing promotion of free bottle of wine for every order of their porterhouse steak every Mondays and Tuesdays!! Don't miss it. β€οΈ

Yuummmyy!!!
I like their shrimp pasta, it's really flavorful. Tho sometimes a bit too oily.
But the place is spot onn!!! Yummy food! I love it!
Must go to this place. :) try it out at least once. :)
We ordered Steak Tapa with fries and Hainanese chicken. Between those two, I really liked their hainanese chicken. The chicken had savory flavor and it was tender and juicy. The sauce and rice combined well with the chicken.
Steak Tapa with fries was good but nothing special. I've had other tapa dishes which was better but if the steak meat is considered, it is still tender but not too sweet.
Still giving it 4/5 because of the hainanese chicken.
We highly recommend the Angus Porterhouse Steak. It's good for 3-4 persons, but it was too delicious that my date and I finished all of it! Better eat fast though, so it won't become greasy. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked medium rare. Comes with three cups of steak rice and a cup of corn and carrots. We switched two cups of steak rice with fries. Loved it and the place! Will be coming back!
One of the strangest combinations to materialize, Hai Chix and Steaks mixes Western faves, such as steaks and burgers, with the flavors of the East, the Hainanese chicken choices. It's an unusual fusion, but one that somehow works.
Located ostensibly on the second floor of a building, the place looks cozy and laid-back, typical of millenial hang-outs. The menu is a bit limited to a one-pager, but the classic faves are well-represented.
Highs:
1. US Angus Ribeye: angus and ribeye are 2 words perfectly married. This version is sinfully greasy (some gasp at its oiliness, but the flavor is astounding). The grilled trimmings are the best part, crisp and flavorful. The meat was cooked expertly to medium, although it was a bit tough and inconsistent in some parts. Cheaper than other steak shops, but still drool-worthy.
2. Angus burger: Made from the same quality beef, this bad boy was huge, with the patty enticingly thick and juicy. Simple, no frills, yet satisfying.
3. Hainanese Chicken Rice: The secret is indeed in the sauce. Although not as flavorful as the originals back in Singapore, their version stands out that dare I say, more flavorful than Wee Nam Kee's. The meat is tender and has a subtle herby taste. The soy dip balances it out, but the chili is superb, the kind you can get from hawkers. With each morsel I bite into, it brings back memories of my second home.
Lows:
1. Butter garlic shrimp: An Asian staple, their version is nothing spectacular. Too salty and the garlic flavor was overpowering, even the serving size was too small. Definitely, one can get better deals and better tasting shrimps with more zing at the local 'paluto' shops by the bay.
2. Calamari: Despite the squid being soft, still pales in comparison to most bar chows you can get.
3. Sauces: They seem confident enough in the flavor of their dishes that they ultimately omitted any kind of steak sauce whatsoever. Their chili sauce is the same chili for their Asian dishes, so it is quite atypical and unfamiliar for the usual steak dishes. They should have kept at least a bottle of good old A1 steak sauce and Tabasco, just to keep some diners satiated. After all, a dash or 2 of these old reliables can fix the flavors in a jiffy, just in case they mess up.
3. Limited menu, limited desserts: A hearty meaty meal deserves a sugar rush for good measure. They only have 4 choices for desserts, and even the chocolate cake was unavailable. We were left to order ice cream, which lo and behold was Selecta. Oh well, Carousel Creamery is right beside them though.
My subsequent visit redeemed Hai because of the goodness of their hainanese chicken. Despite its unusual combo with steaks, it is indeed a good pairing nonetheless. Look for them to expand their menu further, including more burger and chicken choices, and also more dessert options. Still, Hai Chix and Steaks is a great alternative for satisfying one's carnivorous cravings without selling an arm and a limb for it.
Brought my extended family there for Sunday dinner. I really liked the food though I have 2 issues. Firstly, the pastas were a bit oily. And secondly, I complained about the full rack of Baby Back Ribs. It was not a full rack. I know because i smoke ribs at home too. The waiter talked to the chef and told me that a serving is about 750g. I told him that if thats the case, then the menu should just specify the weight instead of claiming that its a full rack. Manage our expectations. But, as I said, I loved the food! And I'm going back soon
I love the food here!!! Everything is delicious and priced well. The interiors are just minimalist and it's a good place to meet with friends because the place is not too crowded.
We ordered the following:
Butter Garlic shrimp 4/5
US Angus Rib eye 5/5 (love the crispy toppings)
Sans Rival 5/5
Cheesecake 5/5
Hainanese Chicken (steamed) 4/5
Hainanese Chicken (fried) 4/5
Kudos to the owners!! ππ»ππ»ππ»
I was invited to try Hai Chix and Steaks in Greenhills a few days ago.Β
For appetizer, we had Butter Garlic Shrimp and Shrimp in Balsamic Pasta. I love the flavors of the shrimp and also wiping the excess butter garlic sauce using the focaccia bread. A new pasta idea for me was the Shrimp in Balsamic Pasta. Surprisingly, the balsamic worked with the pasta and the shrimp. I highly recommend both dishes.Β
We also had the Asian Soy Glaze Wings, which I liked because it was not sugary sweet but could have been better if the wings were crispy.Β
We didn't miss on the Hainanese Chicken Rice and the US Angus Ribeye.Β
The Hainanese Chicken Rice was spot-on, especially when eaten with the ginger sauce. This dish can compete with Singaporean brands, seriously.Β
Hands down to the US Angus Ribeye, cooked medium rare, with fat trimmings on top. This needs no sauce and condiments as the steak is flavorful itself. This is really worth your money.Β
We ended our lovely meal with a slice of Chocolate Cake and Sansrival, with a cup of coffee. Both cakes are delicious and must tries when you visit Hai Chix and Steaks.Β
Overall, I was amazed with most of the dishes we had. I would love to go back for the steaks, hainanese chicken and the shrimp dishes.
I really enjoyed the soup. It was a lobster or was it a shrimp bisque but it was so good. I actually want to go back for just the soup. The others were good too but not a super stand out like the soup.
A belated birthday celebration last year...
We were there just as they opened for dinner service at 530pm... We were so early due to our 7pm movie screening... HC&S was pretty hard to find... It's the building across Gloria Maris, right before the block with Starbucks and Chili's... There's a wine store on the first floor and you have to go up a flight of steps to reach the entrance of Hai Chix...
It was such a simple yet cozy ambience-- with wooden tables and mix matched chairs, comfy couches along one side of the restaurant... Blackboards were set up with the menu written on them... A black and white color theme with red accents tied it all together... We had the restaurant to ourselves for awhile and it was kind of nice...π
We immediately ordered the 650g Angus ribeye steak, medium well... This is why we came here and this is one of their claims to fame... It's good for two people and it comes with 2 bowls of steak rice and buttered corn... I was good with that already, but my bf insisted on getting the hanger steak and shrimp pasta... I just went with it...
The steak and shrimp pasta came first... Loved it... π Lots of garlic and chili flakes with tender hanger steak and perfectly cooked shrimp... This dish is something I would totally come back for...
Right as we were about to finish the pasta, the ribeye came... Sight to behold. Rivals Mamou's, definitely! π It was a perfect medium well, slightly pink in the middle and very juicy... My bf and I thought it was really really good... The quality of the steak really came thru... The rice was so flavorful as well... Perfectly paired with rice and corn! Serving size was generous, may even be shared by 3 people if you aren't that hungry... It's relatively cheaper in comparison to other good steak joints... I also like that they have other options for diners who may want something other than steak...
Servers were very attentive, wifi was fast, bathroom was clean... I couldn't ask for a better experience... Highly recommended!ππ»

Everything was very good. Interior design was good-it had the feel of an apartment in the US. Service was excellent as well. Ordered the shrimp and hanger pasta and it was the best!!! I just wish they're open for the whole day though.
Im not just saying this because i know the owner. The food is good specially the hainanese chicken and rice. I also like the design of the restaurant, so stylish. - Maxine Reyes

The steak is to die for! I love the crispy bits on top of the steak whatever that is! Can't get enough of the steak rice as well. Hainanese chicken is boneless tender and goes well with the sauces. Baby back ribs is just a little dry though. So when you go to this resto order the steak! Nice place go pig out after an intense workout, get together with friends, celebrate your birthday and go out on a date! Yum!
I love everything about the place !!! Good food , great ambiance and very reasonable !! I will definitely go back whenever I feel the need for a steak and hainan fix !!! Two thumbs up Hai Chix and Steaks !!!
I've been a fan of Hai Chix ever since it opened. i'm glad they have a Ghills branch now! Located on Missouri St, above a wine shop, blink and you might miss this as it is a bit hidden. Parking is also a challenge (- 1 point).
The food itself is simple, hearty and comforting. My favourite remains to be the steak and shrimp fettuccine pasta. My mom loves their manila clams pasta. Bro and dad usually get the hainanese chicken rice meal. We got a steak to share. Their steak is good quality.
- 1 point for how oily the food is. Our pastas were swimming in oil. We think that Even their steaks are seared/grilled in oil. While this makes it more tasty, we think They can cut it back a little.
Love this place β€ highly recommended. The staff was very accomodating. The ambience was perfect for lunch/dinner with family and the music was also great! Definitely going back π
