Liked the food here. But for the price is bit expensive compare to other chinese restaurant but the foods are worth the price.

We have ordered shrimps, cold cuts, crabs. fish, abalone mushroom, Tofu Roll, and others. For me, I'm satisfied with the food that we have ate. But I liked the most is our dessert, Taho, I especially liked the panocha. Gonna recommend this dessert.

Great food! Always the best asado! But service is pretty hard to get. They even told us no high chair was available and then we saw alot of it like 10 at the back.

Choi Garden was 50% on weekdays for Metrobank credit cards!

We got the..

Seafood Spinach soup. Really good with lots of seafood.

Birthday Noodles - loved this too!

Vegetable Roll - first time to try this dish. I like the sauce and my vegan guest loved it.

Squid with broccoli - my mom loved this dish. Must order!

Lapu-lapu steamed "old style" (I think) -;this was different than just steamed with soy. This one had a lot of sliced mushrooms and strips of pork. A little on the salty side.

Oyster cake - not the usual type you would get in Singapore. This one had toasty exterior. The oyster were dry and overcooked for me.

We went during the promotions of BDO which gives you a discount. Service was slow and there’s no running water in the bathroom and kitchens so they couldn’t keep changing plates. However, food was still delicious and servers tried their best to accommodate the customers requests even if the place was jam packed. Enjoyed each bite especially the fried lobster and fried rice with fried scallops. The pigeon was very tasty and the fried Lapu Lapu seemed to be a favourite as well. Great for groups and celebrations

Choi garden is your typical chinese restaurant for group gatherings. Usually people celebrating birthdays, graduation and the likes would choose this resto. It is also easy to find, especially at night with it marvelous red lights. Overall, the food tastes great. We got shrimps, birthday noodles, peking duck, crabs, fish, etc. The crab was a bit dry, while the peking duck has very very less meat. Usually for peking duck, most chinese resto would show you the whole duck and slice it in front of you. In this case, it was just served and you can see that mostly skin is served. And the waiters dont observe any proper chinese serving order of the food. They served the noodles first and the rest of the food, they served randomly.

Well, I could say this is the best chinese crusine in Greenhills. I’ll always ask the order takers to recommend their new dishes. It’s a little bit pricey but worth it.

Choi garden is a famous Chinese restaurant that serves really good cantonese food. Though a bit pricey, you won’t Regret paying up on your meal. Some of the really best tasting food are the following:
The Oh so juicy xiao long bao which is supposed to be eaten by picking it up with chopsticks and a Chinese spoon is placed underneath as a support to the bao in case the soup drips off.
Not to mention the mouth watering honey glazed roast Pork bbq Ooey gooey & tender on the bite
The lechon Macau that’s really Crispy & with very minimal fat making you really enjoy eating the whole piece.
The Crispy and very tasty sweet and sour Pork that makes you eat even more Rice. Yummy!
Truly goodness raddish cake, the real siomai & the savory chicken feet.
And for dessert, Oh my goodness for the almond shake w/fruit cocktail.
The only problem with the restaurant is its always full packed.

Definitely one of the highlights of Chinese cuisine in the Greenhills area. Make sure to pre order their lechon macau in the morning, so they can reserve for you for dinner, this is always out of stock. Dipped in sugar and mustard, worth all the calories. Another favorite is the sweet and sour pork, the BEST I HAVE TASTED IN MY LIFE! It’s that good! A surprise was their mushrooms with upo, i am not a fan of upo, but as they cook it, I can finish a dish all by myself! This place is packed every night so make sure to make a reservation! #musttry @choi garden

i have fond memories of eating at Choi ever since i was a child. i loved eating a lot of innovative dishes that i could not find elsewhere in Metro Manila. so when I came back after a long time for my uncle's birthday celebration, i could say i was satisfactorily pleased!

everything was delicious. there was a set menu. only thing that they can improve on is service. other than that, i will come back!

We came here for our company's Christmas lunch, and I must say that we left the restaurant thrilled and fulfilled. They ordered a huge variety of Chinese cuisines; dumplings (siomai, hakaw, and radish cake), the crispiest and most perfect lechon macau I've ever tried (it has the perfect fat to meat ratio! Yum!), sweet and sour pork, salad shrimp, and the highlight of the day, their peking duck. Glad I was included in this wonderful gastronomical experience.

I opted to have dinner at home thinking I might get hungry during a concert at Teatrino. Texted my BFF only to find out that the concert won't start until 8pm. It's only 7pm and I was already getting down from the car. Well, good thing that my BFF was in Choi's Garden having his dinner so I just followed without any plans to have a second dinner for the night.

I entered the restaurant, got intimidated at the size of the dining crowd. Found my friend and looked at the menu. They (my friend and his co-teacher) had already ordered and I, well continued perusing at the menu. Then, I saw Radish Cake. I had to have it. Ordered it.

The friend's Dimsum and mains came and of course, I sampled each one. They were surprisingly impressive served by amiable and attentive waiters. But the star of the night, my Radish Cake didn't disappoint. It was newly-cooked, soft and a bit toasted. Just the way I want it.

We left and headed to the concert with over-stocked bellies and catatonic behavior. And I guess you already know actually happened half way of the concert.

Choi Garden in Annapolis Greenhills has been established for so many years but I wonder why I didn't know about this place sooner. Food trends come and go, but this restaurant serves classic and authentic Chinese food that I think I won't get tired eating.

We celebrated a birthday in one of their function rooms and were impressed with all above-average dishes. Food platters are great for sharing. Check out the variety of choices of the menu and you'll know you're definitely in for a treat.

We had fried tofu and white mushroom with salt and pepper, birthday noodles, salted egg yolk prawns, lapu lapu, fish head served in almond soup, 2-way duck, poon choi, and mango sago. Everything was presented beautifully, with fragrant aroma, and tasty on the palate. We're so happy to sample traditional specialty dishes such as these in one go.

I found the "poon choi" or "18 treasures feasts" most interesting as it's the first time I had it. It packed a punch in uniqueness as it came with different ingredients cooked together in a thick broth. It's like a feast of seafood and meat, not exactly for a casual dinner, but for a celebration. There's a great blend of flavors and I love the contrast of the textures and the taste of the broth.

If you’re looking for a decent place for your next gathering or celebration with an oriental feel, give Choi Garden a try. You’ll get all the benefits of sumptuous meal and more.

August 21, 2018 Deckard and I had dinner with my side of the family. Unfortunately, no food shots because I was afraid of being reprimanded by the "oldies but goodies" at our table. Some of the dishes we had must have been off-menu because I don't see them listed here. It was also my Uncle and cousin doing the ordering. The following are what we had:

Assorted appetizers with seaweed, white chicken, asado pork, roast layer pork and I think pigeon -
Of all these my favorite was the roast layer pork which is really like lechon kawali. For me though, this version is less oily and oh so tender. Their asado pork has a slight spicy kick but it was also tender and tasty.

Steamed shrimp - this came with a soy vinegar sauce. Ahhh delightful. It was so satisfying to get the juice out of the shrimp heads. One good thing about eating with family is that I can use my hands without feeling conscious so yeah you betcha when necessary I went full on cave woman tonight. But of course pa-delicate pa din otherwise I'm sure one of the Aunties or my Ama's sisters will swat my arm.

Hot and Sour soup or fish lips soup - I got conflicting answers on this one. One cousin said hot sour but the oldies said fish lips so hahahhaha I don't know. But it tasted tangy and it was hot maybe it was both?

Peking Duck 2 ways - The first way was excellent! Crispy duck skin, some meat that had duck fat, the kropek, plum sauce and the pancake arrrgh even now my mouth salivates just thinking about it. They also had cucumbers and leeks for that. One complaint though I wish they added more kropek.
The 2nd way using the remaining parts of the duck was done deep fried with garlic and pepper - this was just ok. We've had better. Theirs was so dry and the meat was tough. Clearly, it was overcooked.

Garlic Crabs - I usually don't go for crabs but this arrived at the table with such an inviting aroma and Deckard was digging into it, I decided to give it a try. The meat was so sweet and the garlic sauce was awesomely superb.

Sotanghon with Pata Tim - this was sotanghon guisado with Pata Tim on top. I remembered my Ama and my Dad while eating this. My Ama used to cook it and my Dad would eat most of it. I'm running out of positive food adjectives to describe what we ate but this was also a winner.

Steamed Lapu Lapu - this restaurant knows seafood! Order any of their seafood dishes with no hesitation. They have large aquariums at the ground floor so I guess the reason why it tastes so delectable is because the fish are fresh.

Finally, dessert:
Taho - the waiter scooped the Taho out of bamboo steamers into soup cups. The syrup and the sago were served on the side and it's up to each diner how much of those you'd want to have.
Yellow chiffon cake - it was still hot when i tasted it and I'm certain it's newly cooked. But since this is Chinese cake, I'm betting this was steamed. The restaurant also has a bakery stand on the ground floor so I'm sure this was made in house.

The service was excellent. There were so much of us but the waiters never missed a beat. I'm so grateful for another evening of having good food with people I care deeply about. Puppycat though wasn't able to join us because she had to stay home and study.

Tonight is also 40 Days since my Aunt closest to me had passed. The main reason for this get together. We had mass and then this dinner afterwards. I miss her so much. I miss my Ama, I miss my Auntie. For a time this evening, I forgot that she's not around anymore. There was a tall, slim woman with her back turned and the same hair cut, I thought, oh there's Aco I'll tell her all she ordered is so good. She was always the one who chose our food before at restaurants. But of course, it wasn't her. There is still pain in my heart but I know one day I'll see them all again then we can continue our feasting in the next life. Thank you Aco for everything.

My mother would always tell me, “Whenever a Chinese restaurant is full of Chinese people, it must be good & authentic.” You’ll always find Choi Garden filled with Chinese people anyday.

A few rants before I get to the good part. First off, it’s very hard to find parking here. VERY HARD. I know Choi Garden has purchased an empty lot for their customers convenience, but most of the time, it’s also full. With Greenhills being a popular destination choice by many, parking is a hot commodity in the area. But if you have drivers, it’s easier to move around. Otherwise, you’ll have to be patient or park somewhere far. Another would have to be the customer service. Waiters in the reception aren’t trained properly. With many guests coming in, the restaurant may risk losing some customers, because of the slow service and the staff not being trained well enough to be able to entertain the guests well. They are courteous though, but obviously new hires - so they’re clueless about a lot of things. Like items on the menu and such.

And let’s get to the good part - The food. And like any other restaurant, Choi Garden satifies my Chinese taste buds. And I can attest that any Chinese family here in the Metro feels the same way. Both their hotpot and main dishes have always been good! Our family’s staple orders have always satisfied our Chinese food cravings. And for Choi Garden’s ambience, it’s definitely not in the lower end tier or higher end tier of Chinese restaurants, but it’s in the middle ground. It’s pretty noisy and there’s hardly any music in the background for it to be in the fine dining tier. And as for Chinese people who are truly Chinese, you’ll appreciate the shades of red all over the restaurant.

Choi Garden will always be a favorite.

We come here for the freshest seafood fare. Crabs, shrimps, deep sea lapu lapu.

Normally, we order a set for 12 people. Comes out about ₱1,000 per person. But well worth it. Sometimes they have a promo with credit cards where it is 50 % off maximum Bill of 10k. Also, you may bring bottles of wine or hard drink without corkage. ThePlace though needs some improvement already.

I was craving for peking duck so I asked my boyfriend to look for the cheapest one. Although they don't serve peking duck in parts, only as a whole, we got lucky because it was 50% off on weekdays (from 2,000 to 1,000 pesos +200 if 2 ways) The servers were generous enough to give us the biggest duck. since it was just my boyfriend and i dining, we had to ask our friends for help. Our 2nd way is the minced duck. Quite cheap for a fine dining Chinese restaurant. Tho their menu here is quite outdated. Its actually 30+pages right now (as of march 2017)

Authentic Cantonese dishes served fresh and hot ♨
The two-way roasted duck wrapper and soup is an excellent example of how this delicate dish is prepared. My favorite is the steamed garlic rock lobster, a standard dish for this fine location, you normally don't serve at home. Steamed or sauté garlic shrimps and steamed Lapu-Lapu, pork 🐷 Lechon and roast pork asado are not to be missed. Add a couple of green veggie dishes to balance the feast and impress every Chinese grandma who has an eye for real good food. 👍😅

Guys I tried a lot of chinese restaurant, but nothing compare to you. This is the only restaurant where you can taste the real authencity of an international modern day chinese food.

Even high end restaurants in HongKong is a match or less than you. Expand more and more and more. So more people can try out your dish.

Choi Garden has been a go-to Chinese restaurant for celebrations. The menu is pricey but quality is good and dishes are authentic, as it is shown by the number of times the restaurant is always full. They have a good ambiance but data signal is very bad, even mobile network is poor, which somehow allows you to enjoy the food and your tine with your family and friends.

Choi Garden is one of the few restaurants that serves good Chinese exotic and great dishes: crab, shrimp, lobster, fish, sea cucumber, scallop, sharks fin, and one other (sorry I dont remember).

For this visit, we had Soyed Chicken, Hot Prawn Salad, Abalone and Sea Cucumber Hot Pot, Sharks Fin and Crab Soup, Cha Misua, and Taho for dessert. Everything was really good. Service was excellent as well.

My description, quality chinese food. Its normally a special occasion place for me like birthdays, Christmas, new year, reunions.... The menu is wide , to each his own food preference for chinese food. But as simple as this, it's one of the chinese restos recommended for important gatherings. You can reserve private rooms for Lauriat packages depending on your number of guests. Your quote is by table of 10 to 12. During Christmas holidays, it gets realllllly full . But be prepared to shell out more for good food!!!!!

This place probably the best restaurant for all Chinese people. The theme, the setup of the place suits their needs. However, this is not exclusive for them it’s just majority of them feels comfortable. I was here months ago and when I was about to order then this Chinese man talked to me and suggested some food to order since it was more on Chinese food. I ordered what he said and I like it. Great experience here in Choi Garden. #justsaying

A chinese restaurant is already a staple in manila. It's all a matter of WHERE to find good quality chinese dishes that are worth it. Choi Garden is one of them on my list.
I reserved a table for 10 over the phone which took 2 minutes. Easy.
When we arrived, we were sent up right away. Almost 3-4 waiteds were in our area ready to do some service. We then proceeded to order. These are the following:

Cold cuts platter- a "always-part-of-we-order" dish which was very consistent with taste.
I was not sure if they changed their Hoisin Sauce but it was still good.

Suahe- the freshest ones at that. It was soft and delicious paired of with their sauce.

Sweer and sour pork- I am not much of a fan of sweet and sour but their version was good even without the soy sauce.

Steamed fish- another fresh dish that just melts in your mouth. Again, no sauce needed for this one as the light sauce was good enough and did not ruin the taste of the fish itself

Cold prawn salad- MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE. great flavors all in one. I could eat this all day. Crunchy on the outside but oh so good on the inside. This is my happy dish!

And of course, the famous Peking Duck. We had it cooked two ways. I prefer the wrapped one. I had about 5 of them in less than 10 minutes.

To cap it off, we had the usual mango sago which was not that sweet. I guess their mango is not that ripe.

All in all, amazing dinner yet again at this place. Might I add that they are still doing renovations on both floors but nevertheless, sill worth going to.

For those of you who cannot wait for Tim Ho Wan‘s world famous Baked Barbecued Pork Buns 叉燒菠蘿包 to arrive here in Manila, wait no further. So where do you get baked pork buns here in Manila? You can get the delicious, crusty pork buns at Choi Garden!

I dropped by Choi Garden for my regular dimsum dinner when my eye caught sight of a laminated menu inserted at the back of condiments. It’s a new dish! Supposedly 天下最好的飽!(The Best Pork Bun in the World)

This is what I’ve been waiting for ~ someone to start the game in Pork Buns, generally. We’ve seen it from steamed pork buns and asado buns with a shiny coating but we’re all tired of that. And probably this is the reason why Tim Ho Wan has been gaining some popularity here in the metro.

A number of Cha Chaan Teng 茶餐廳 restaurants in Hong Kong serve Pineapple Buns or Bo Lo Yiu Buns 菠蘿油 commonly for breakfast. Though not really filled with Pineapple, the sugary top crust resembles that of a pineapple. They can be stuffed with different fillings like butter (which is more common), red bean paste, custard cream, barbecued pork, or coconut filling. Choi Garden calls it Pineapple Buns but for the sake of clear communication, I’m calling it Baked Pork Buns.

Each order has three Baked Barbecued Pork Buns, but the crusty coating of the buns are lighter than the ones at Tim Ho Wan. I noticed it is relatively smaller, but we’ll see how it grades versus Tim Ho Wan.

Overall, it was just the right flavor. The diced pork filling is sweet as expected, and it meshed well with the thick bun, which is not sugary. Just to share, Choi Garden has some of the best Honey Roasted Asado, where the meat resembles really close to what you can get in Hong Kong.

I really liked the bun. The texture was reminiscent of coffee buns, but save for the sweetness of it. I was really tempted to ask for a plain pork bun if they have it available, and maybe stuff it with butter instead ~ yes, like a Pineapple bun.

On my second piece, there was less pork filling, which wasn’t so bad for me because I just wanted to eat the buns.

As expected I had a second order of Baked Pork Buns to go.

I am glad that Choi Garden got in the game early but I also wish their pork buns were larger. I am also anticipating the revamping of the usual steamed pork buns that I am pretty sure, Ippudo Manila, will be starting the fire here soon. We’ll see who else will be jumping the bandwagon.

We visited Choi Garden to celebrate a birthday.

As soon as we sat down, we ordered two Fried Pigeon and Meatball Congee. Each pigeon was cut into four pieces plus the head. The pigeon were very crispy on the outside but super juicy inside. The kropek on the side were also still crispy and hot.

We added E-fu noodles with Straw Mushroom for long life since its a birthday tradition. The serving was good enough for Irene and me and we even had some for takeout. The noodles were cooked very well and did not leave an oily taste in the mouth.

Sweet and Sour Pork was the last thing we ordered. I found the sweet and sour sauce very good, just enough to coat all the pork pieces. Although I think the pork pieces are too thick, thinner slices would produce a nicer crunch in each bite.

A wonderful place to dine at.

Our family loves chinese food. On my father's birthday, I reserved this special chinese restaurant -- Choi Garden in Annapolis Greenhills. It is seldom that you hear a buzz on Chinese restaurants. Most people rave about Choi Garden because of the food prepared by their Hongkong Chef and the interesting interiors.

Choi Garden occupies the hole left by Country Waffles in Greenhills. It has two floors -- the first floor is for shabu shabu, while the second floor is for fine dining. For special occasions, better reserve the rooms on the 2nd floor. The first floor is for casual meetings and romantic dates. Better reserve to get the best seats in the house. I love the dramatic tunnel entrance, and the interesting chandelier lighting effects. The word "opium den" comes to mind (I don't know why) when I entered the first floor because of its bloody motif.

The specialties of the house are usually not found in the menu. Choi Garden is famous for their Pigeons (which you have to order in advance) and 3-way Lapu Lapu.

Choi Garden Pigeons - I don't eat pigeons ever because usually it is oily and rubbery in texture. This is the first time I've eaten pigeons because it is a bit crispy without the oil. A must try in Choi Garden for special occasions.

3-way Lapu Lapu - First, the lapu lapu is served in Miso Soup. We kept raving about how good the soup is. It tastes like Japanese miso soup and appears like Lapu Lapu sinigang with a smoother taste.
The second way is to steam the lapu lapu with brocolli. The fresh and soft taste of lapu lapu stands out. There is no need for seasoning. My mom kept raving about this!
Finally, the rest of the lapu lapu is cooked adobo style in hot pot with tofu. This one got mixed reaction because it was mixed with meat and adobo sauce was super thick.

We also ordered the Crab cooked in Singaporean Chili-crab style. The sauce is a bit gingery in taste. (I don't know why Manila can't reproduce an authentic Singapore chili-crab?) We should have stopped with the pigeon and lapu lapu.
