My Husband craved for Chicken Rice from Wee Nam Kee. Ordered my fave Barley Drink (Bottomless) I was surprised how much flavorful their Barley drink was as compared to the one i tried in SG. Their Barley Drink is much sweeter and the Barley is bigger so yummy and refreshing as always. Chicken and Rice is always so good plus with the condiments that matches with it (ginger, chilli). It was our first time to try their salted egg chicken and i must say its my fave so far from all of what we ordered. The Chicken skin of the salted egg is crunchy and the meat is juicy plus the creamy flavor of the salted egg tops it off! The Chicken and Beef Satay i did not like much maybe because the change of my taste buds and it was a bit dry. We also ordered Laksa but the waitress was not able to punch it but it was okay with us because we were already so full from what we all ordered😊

We were well taken care of the staff. They are very prompt and friendly😊

Wee nam kee is located in promenade and the place looks great. The singaporean/malaysian cuisine has alot of varieties and are presented very well. We got the following:
Char kway teow - tastes ok
Claypot chicken rice - so-so taste
Hainanese chicken rice personal set - great
Unlimited laksa - so-so
Salt and pepper squid - quite good

Their Yellow Hainanese Chicken is a must-order. Cooked just right—tender and subtely spiced, the natural of the high quality chicken is highlighted. It goes perfectly well with their Chicken Rice which deserves a descriptive narrative of its own. Wee Nam Kee’s Chicken is flavorful but does not overpower the Hainanese Chicken. It complements the dish in a lovely manner—flavors marry well.

The condiments gives the Chicken dish extra burst of flavor.

Wee Nam Kee is our go-to place for Hainanese Chicken fix. I love both yellow and roasted chicken. The chicken is enough for my taste buds but combining all 3 sauces just raises the bar up high. 😋🙌🏻

For 208 pesos plus Service Charge last week, the Hainan chicken personal set the soup has a strong sesame taste, the knorr cube flavored rice, and chilled steamed chicken comes with unlimited strong ginger and hot sauce. and soy sauce. A quiet place with good ambiance. And their service tea tasted better too.

Wee Nam Kee is an old solution to one's quest for Hainanese Chicken Rice.

Their Hainanese Chicken is still one of the best. Even the regular Chicken (get the Yellow Chicken if you have the budget for it) is nice and juicy. Play around with their 3 sauces (sweet soy, ginger, and chili). Have a cup or two of their Hainanese chicken rice which is fragrant and tasty as is.

Other recommended dishes are the salt & pepper crispy squid, kailan with garlic and laksa.

Not really a fan of their prawn balls or the pork & tofu in black bean sauce.

We often order their Laksa and Yellow Hainanese Chicken. I think I would appreciate the Laksa more if it was a little spicier. Seems to me that the Yellow Skinned tastes more delicious as it is more expensive probably because it’s from Singapore. I advise you to order both to compare. Always put Ginger into the Hainanese chicken. It goes well with the black sauce of the chicken from the plate (Not the condiments)

I've tried this place several times already and I had no time to leave a review. Here it is!

I super love this place.
It is a fusion of Asian specialties.
I love their noodles and meals.
Hits the spot every single time.
I've tried their laksa and hainanese chicken curry noodles.
The rice meals are super sulit!
Ive tried the salted egg and the honey garlic spare ribs. The rice and vegetables on the side are delicious and taste really fresh.

I would surely recommend this place to anyone.
It is my current place of comfort (food).

I'll add photos the next time I'd go back. For sure!

I was wanting to have buffet last night but all buffets were jam- packed 😅. This has made me decide to try this and I'm glad we did. We ordered Mixed seafood and Tofu. Being so in love with seafood, it was hella great! I forgot what he ordered but it was delicious too. 👍

P.s. It was supposedly a trio date with tita but she's too tired to eat, so we just fetched her home after church service and went to greenhills to find her a mother's day gift. Forgive my not so good photography skills 😂

Roasted Haianese and Chicken rice is a must try, don't forget to make a special dip for that. Add the teriyaki sauce, ginger, and chili paste. Uhm-uhm!

I loved the laksa, the curry was very flavourful but I hated the noodles.

Admit it.. The very first thing you think of when you hear the words "Wee Nam Kee" is Hainanese Chicken, right? Well, I know I do. But can you blame me? Since opening their very first restaurant in Ayala Triangle a couple of years back, the name Wee Nam Kee has become the golden standard when it comes to the Singaporean Chicken classic.

Still one of our favorites!😊

After fixing a couple of things in this area, my SO took me out to a late lunch at Wee Nam Kee... He likes going here because it's one of the few places where I eat seafood...

We got our favorite honey crispy squid, cereal prawns and Wee Nam Kee fried rice... We also got the Kai Lan in oyster sauce for our veggie entree... We were disappointed when the squid came as we knew that the serving got smaller!!!😥 still tastes good, sad lang na kumonti... Still a good meal, this time we didn't order too much for a change!

I go to Wee Nam Kee for their specialty of hainanese chicken and rice. The rest of their meals are rather secondary compared to this.

Ordered two personal meals (199php each), consisting of a plate of your choice of either steamed (my favorite, it's more soft), roasted or combined hainanese chicken with cucumbers, yummy refillable soup, and a cup of hainanese rice. The other order was Hong Kong Fried noodles (330php) which was just okay. They also have hoisin, ginger and chili sauce on the side of the table for extra flavor. What i do is i mix the ginger with hoisin sauce; ginger is supposed to be healthy for you :)

The other choices of food are a bit pricey as you can expect by the beautiful interior design. The quantity of the food isn't as much for the price you pay, quality is alright but they're too oily for me. House tea comes for free though and service was just ok. Rest room isn't available inside, but you can use the one in the mall.

Tip: get free chicken rice balls when you post a photo of your wee nam kee experience on fb/instagram and show it to the server.

Had their sweet and sour fish fillet (295). It's one of the best sweet and sour fish fillets that I've eaten. The sauce is not too sweet. It's good to share for 2 persons.

Unplanned dining sometimes work best. We were in Greenhills one minute, then in Singapore the next. We ordered the family platter, sambal squid, honey garlic spare ribs and the kai lan. Surprisingly good, service was quick although wished the family platter came in different sizes. The set was only good for 3-4 persons on a 1-cup-of-rice diet. Overall it was a good dining experience. Worth a try.

It's much more convenient today to have almost any type of cuisine in your doorstep. Sometimes even when they are late, you are thankful that they went through the traffic for you.

So Wee Nam Kee was late, by an hour but forgivable because they presented the dishes well and they fed my hungry soul well. I had them eaten at our restaurant, Sobremesa.

Their signature Hainanese set is still best out there. The chicken is wonderfully tasty even without its sauces. To create a variety of feel, the ginger was perfectly dry and spicy, the dark soy sauce intense and chili hot enough.

The Mixed Vegetables had hefty portions and its a steal for the price tag of just Php 185. The fresh crisp broccoli and cauliflower was the star of this must order complimenting dish.

We Ordered:
Salted Egg Fried Chicken Rice = 265
*A bowl of complexity and art. Chicken
chunks are perfectly fried, the Chinese
style way, really crunchy outside but fresh
and glossy inside then slathered with
crushed salted egg. Saltiness of this dish is
balanced by fresh green leaves on the
side.

Steamed Pacific Dory = 295
*A very simple recipe for dory that is totally
effective. Fresh dory slices on soft tofu beds
are simply adorable. Its sauce gives
additional kick on every slices.

Steamed Chicken Noodle Soup = 245
*Served with yellow noodles, some green
leaves and chicken slices on top. Noodles
is a little bit sweet so it taste bizarre for me
but the chicken is lip-smackingly good.

Lime Juice = 55
*Just the right combination of tanginess and
sweetness .

The ambiance is relaxed and homelike. Lights
are not too bright and not too dark which gave me an extra comfortable feeling while sitting on their couch. Food are good with just average cost but service is a little bit slow. Staff are too stiff so a quick smile is needed and they don't even have initiative refilling our water glasses or even give us some tissue.

Watch A Second Chance yesterday with KP and it was sooooo beautiful! Anyway, after the movie.. we weren't really sure where to eat so we just ended up here in Wee Nam Kee.

It's KP's first time to eat here so I wasn't sure if he will like it or not.

The place is okay.. it's clean and it looks spacious. The service was also okay.. they were accomodating and fast. Food service was also fast so we were surprised by that.

We had their Fried Mantou with Condensed Milk for appetizer. I grew up eating this and it's been a long time since I last ate one of these and it's soooo good! Eating it now, it reminded me of like a Beignet. Actually, KP liked to eat it as a dessert. Haha! It was really good! I just wish that yhe Mantou would be bigger. Hehehe

For our mains, we had the Small Chicken Rice with 2 orders of Hainanese Rice, Sambal KangKong and Seafood Crispy Noodles.

The chicken rice was good.. I mean it should be good cause it's their specialty right? I also like the sauces for it. The rice was also good.. perfect for the Chicken.

KP actually ordered the Noodles.. I was shocked that I was a big serving.. I wish I didn't order rice anymore.. KP likes crispy noodles and I'm glad that he liked it. There was a lot of seafood in the noodles that's why for me it was worth the price.

Lastly, we had the Sambal Kangkong.. just to have some veggies in our table.. its a little bit spicy but I can tolerate it.. it was okay.. I just want that the flavor of the sambal will be more prominent cause I hardly tasted any sambal in the dish.

Overall, our lunch was okay. Our tummies are full and we get to take the leftovers home.

On our way to Pancake House, we stumbled upon the huge Classic Laksa poster of Wee Nam Kee in Promenade. Being a huge fan of this coconut milk based food, my boyfriend immediately dragged me inside and completely forgot the blueberry pancake he was craving for.

We instantly knew what to order -- laksa, haiananese chicken and shrimp roll wrapped in beancurd on the side.

The shrimp roll was an instant hit; a bit pricey though compared to the usual "kikiam" we adore from North Park and Mann Hann. 😜 After munching on the goodness of their fried roll, the star of the restaurant followed -- steamed chicken! It was tender and goes perfectly well with their special sauces. The rice was an undeniable staple to the dish. We had to order two, even if we were expecting a noodle dish.

Then comes the famed Singaporean laksa. When I saw the generous bowl, I felt the familiar gastronomical delight of our trips to Singapura. Funny story, my first impression of the dish was, "ayyyy kulang sa soup". I was contemplating if I should ask for an extra bowl of soup, but thought otherwise. The generous size of the bowl came with a pot, which I thought was another serving of their house tea. My boyfriend and I had to settle for what's in the bowl. When I finished eating, I already consumed the first pot of house tea, so I poured (almost) myself another round from the pot I thought was the second serving given by the waiter. To my surprise, inside was the rest of our soup's goodness.

The soup was an absoulute burst of spicy, sweet and salty, blended altogether. I'm a big fan of their noodles. There were clusters, which I thought was uncooked, but it was for presentation. The balls, vegetables and meat of the laksa was an absoulte delight.

This kind of spontaneous decisions between me and Eboy always turn out to be a brilliant idea. I'm thinking of bringing my sister here next week, for an early birthday celebration.

On the downside -- Wee Nam Kee of Promenade -- please always have a wash area. You are a restaurant. We like to keep our hands clean before we dig in to your succulent dishes.

The yellow hainan chicken, while pleasing to the palate and definitely much better than local white chicken, doesn't quite match up to the real thing in southern China (but still great). The hot barley tea is a welcome beverage (barley is good for digestion and removing dampness in Chinese medicine).

This Singaporean restaurant is not only affordable but it's also quite classic in a sense. I love the way they incorporate chicken broth in almost every dish especially their specialty rice; so simple yet full of flavor when paired with the right entree. The classic beef tenderloin, the cashew coffee spareribs and the wok fried chicken cashew and chili are my top 3 favorite dishes from Wee Nam Kee. Beef tenderloin is very common but their take on this dish is beyond me. Their chicken cashew and chili is the best with their chicken rice, as well as their cashew coffee spareribs mainly because of the strong blend of flavors in both dishes. The use of nuts and several layers of cornstarch based sauces is no problem for anyone with easy to please tastebuds.

Tried their sambal fried rice, sambal kangg kong, cereal prawns, and honey garlic pork.

Since Wee Nam Kee is a Singaporean restaurant, how I wish they'd consider bringing in traditional Singaporean desserts such as the Banana Fritters and or even the $1 ice cream sandwich! Yummmmehhh!! That would have been more fun to indulge on after enjoying a plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice. :)

Ever since Wee Nam Kee brought their famous Chicken Rice from Singapore to Manila, the image of Wee Nam Kee in my eyes became limited to my favorites. The very first time I encountered Wee Nam Kee in Manila was their first branch at Ayala Triangle. Together with friends, we ordered the pride of the restaurant, Cereal Prawns and Hainanese Chicken Rice of course. We didn't need to browse too much through the menu as we were settled with the 2 dishes alone. From that time on, the taste of Cereal Prawns and Hainanese Chicken Rice flashes me a recall each time I pass by a Wee Nam Kee store, which has added more over time.

The Food:
Prawn Paste Chicken Wings (Php 218) - Now, Wee Nam Kee offers their version of crispy fried chicken wings in a mild prawn paste batter. They didn't go wrong with how they prepared these wings. Crispy as how Filipinos like it and savory as how anyone would like their chicken to be done. An added flavor, prawn paste, introduced me to a unique flavor combination as how Wee Nam Kee intended this plate to be.

Salted Egg Chinese Style Fried Chicken (Php 295) - Batter anything with salted egg, I won't double up my mind whether to eat or not. The ingredient salted egg is enough for me to be in love with any dish. Wee Nam Kee created a version with the use of their crispy fried chicken and oozing signature salted egg batter stamped all over the bottom part of the chicken slices. I like the hint of spiciness care of red chili peppers.

Hainanese Chicken Curry Noodles  - A Singaporean journey won't be complete if you miss out on Laksa. Wee Nam Kee's Hainanese Chicken Curry Noodles fills in the gap of needing laksa on the menu. What I enjoyed most in this noodle soup is the generous serving of juicy Hainanese Chicken or Roasted Hainanese Chicken. Its chicken broth grooms it with more interesting unique flavors.

My sister and I together with a friend went for a Valentines Day dinner.. We wanted to eat something asian so we decided to try Wee Nam Kee!! What we had for dinner is their Roasted Chicken which is their best seller which comes with crushed ginger as well as soy sauce, and chili sauce that youcan blend with it was big so we weren't able to finish the whole thing.. I was excited to try it but then I was disappointed coz it was already cold it was like taken out from the fridge then heat it up on a microwave.. I bet it will be good if its hot we would probably finish the Roasted Chicken. Then we had the Honey Garlic Spareribs which I really appreciated since it was really good!! It was sweet and salty at the same time.. Money wise it was affordable. Good for sharing too. The crew were very attentive and welcoming..

When we lived in Singapore for a few years, Hubby and I got hooked on Chicken Rice (the real kind). To others, also known as Hainanese chicken has become the stuff of Asian comfort food. Kind of like the stuff that reminds us of Grandma. And although the original Chicken Rice is found in a hole in the wall place in Singapore, 10 minutes away from Clark Quay, Wee Name Kee is the closest you will find to Chicken Rice in Manila. It is argued that Chicken Rice is easy to make. If you knew your food, you would also know it ain't easy getting Chicken Rice right. It takes time, the right amount of ingredients, the right chicken, sauces and temperature when you cook the chicken. Also, how much broth you douse in the rice to get the texture right. So kudos to Wee Nam Kee, and even successfully setting up its franchise in Manila :)Kain!

If you are looking for an authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice from Singapore, then Wee Nam Kee restaurant is the right for you. Located at the new Promenade of Greenhills, Wee Nam Kee offers cozy and great ambiance. From the eye-catchy facade of the restaurant, to the classy and comfortable-looking interiors. You may feel great and relax here.

Staffs and services are outstanding. When we dined here, one of their customers was very annoying. He called the staff for anything he could think of. Even I was just a co-customer, was very annoyed at him. What more from the staffs, but they didn't show any annoyance or anger at him. They treated him well.

For the food, my boyfriend and I ordered a steamed Hainanese Chicken and Beef Broccoli. Their Hainanese Chicken is delicious and much better than Banana Leaf has to offer. It is recommended to eat your chicken while it's hot so the deliciousness I'm talking is not spoiled. :) Same experience with the Beef Broccoli. It is delicious but their Broccoli is not soft to eat like I want to. By looking at my photo, they are exciting to eat. Overall, it was a great dining experience so I gave 4.5 rating except for the annoying customer which was not their fault. :D
