We ate here with my family one rainy Sunday brunch after church. The restaurant opens at 10am during Sunday’s. It was my youngest daughters idea to eat ramen that day. We ordered their set meals - all of the set meals have Shio ramen as that’s our daughters favorite. I had fried prawn and my hubby and sister got the Tonkatsu. Everything we ordered were tasteful and very Japanese. For a group of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids, we spent ~Php2500 which is not bad. We enjoyed and most especially the kids enjoyed the food and rated this restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻.
We made a short vlog - to see our whole dining experience pls watch here! Kids Eat Ramen | Restaurant Review https://youtu.be/a4_gGMUdTQo
Or visit Yuna and Aika Stories for more clips😊
I don't usually like ramen. But this one is my favorite. So far out of all ramen in the world, including ichiran haha i like this one the most. Their pork cheek is super soft and their soup is not too heavy.
Great price for a great set. I think everything is sulit. Quite surprised that Shoyu is not that salty though. The food was overflowing
Great service as well.
This ramen place never disappoints me, ever!
Ramen noodles were always fresh and tastes really good. I love their Karaage so much.
I would highly recommend the Awase Ramen. Keep it up and more power!
Before our Endgame schedule sa Theatre Mall, we opted to dine sa Hokkaido Santouka kasi nagccrave kami sa ramen. Dapat share lang kami sa ramen kasi hindi naman ako nakakaubos ng isang meal, kaso magkaiba kami ng choice ng flavor ng ramen!
1. Awase-Aji Ramen - HUHUHUHUHUHU ANG SARAP!!!!!!!!!!!! As in!!!!!!!!!!!
Pero yung love namin for ramen, dito kami dinala ♥️ Mesherep dito ♥️♥️♥️
This is a late review but me and my bf has not over yet in our dinning experience. I really love the ramen and the salmon roll. I keep on saying delicious while munching every food. Definitely we’ll eat again here
It was our first time to dine here. Ambiance was really cozy, dimly lit with classical pop piped in music. Staff were attentive and accomodating eager to give us refills of water or assist us with our requests. There were almost no distraction or loud chatter aside from the occasional greeting by the staff to incoming diners so you get to enjoy the great food with your company. The set meals were complete and really filling. The ramen was good as well. Definitely a heart warming meal on a rainy night after a day of shopping.
I give perfect rating automatically for places that gives you sumptuous ramen from your first visit. I hope its the same with other branches.

Their black themed interiors are best for date nights. I like how their shio ramen soup base tasted, very flavorful. Natuwa ako sa narutomaki, I’ve always wanted to try that. The small ramen & pork cutlet & small rice bowl set is a pretty sweet deal. I get to have a taste of all my favorites without breaking the bank too much. 👍🏻
I believe nothing more needs to be said aside from "Kara Miso Ramen is Love, Kara Miso Ramen is life".
No Seriously, even people who don't like spicy food can enjoy this. It's the Ramen that embodies the ideal that you don't have to overpower everything with taste to be great.

A handful of ramen places have popped up recently, and if you’re following my reviews, I have lots of Ramen reviews and it’s very obvious I’m a huge Ramenhead. Recently me and my partner have been suffering from what we call “Mendokoro Course” We’ve been eating Ramen recently but because of Mendokoro we are always finding something missing and I rarely give 5stars on my Ramen reviews. Then here comes Santouka. One night we decided to try it. The moment we are about to enter, the Japanese ambiance already in the air. Upon entering, it’s like we were teleported into Japan. The interior is so Japanese with joyful crew assisting us on our seats. I ordered Awase-Ji Ramen while my partner ordered Santouka Set Meal A which includes Pork Cutlet, 1 small sized Shio Ramen, 1 Rice bowl, 1 Salad, 1 Dessert and a cup of tea.
Awase-Ji Ramen – Mixed Soup Ramen, Shio (salt), Shoyu (soy sauce) and soybean (miso). The mixture of those 3 kinds of broth may not sound good to many but for Ramen lovers, this one is very interesting. With this, I expected a lot from this and upon tasting the hot broth, it did not disappoint. The taste is very rich but each broth flavor does not overpower the other making it very balanced and palatable.
Shio Ramen – only a small bowl will be served to you if you order the set menu but it still serves thick slices of chasiu, menma, nori, green onions and pickled plum. Broth that is light yet full of flavor. This variant are for both Ramen lovers and casual customer. For Ramen begginers, this one is suggested for you.
Pork Cutlet - Pork Tonkatsu with a flavorful dip which is served separately. The pork is just a usual tonkatsu but the dip is what makes this one stand-out among the rest.
The service by the way is excellent.
Hokkaido Ramen Sontouka is one of my favorite restaurants in Greenhills. It was so easy to order because of their set menu plus sushi on the side. Very satisfying!!

One of my go-to restaurants if I’m craving for Japanese food! Their set meals really hit the spot for me as you get everything in one order! From ramen to katsu meals, you really get your money’s worth.
Their shio ramen will always be one of my favorite ramen in Metro Manila. Not too flavorful so I get to finish the whole serving of a regular bowl. They offer a larger serving size which is good for those who have bigger appetite.
Staff is courteous and attentive which is a plus point so I keep coming back to this branch whenever I'm in the area.
There are a lot of popular great-tasting, and hyped-up ramen houses nowadays. As a result, I don’t really bother venturing to places that sell ramen and ordering ramen in Japanese restaurants that do not specialize in ramen.
When people say “ramen”, there’s usually a restaurant associated with it already. None of my friends have mentioned Hokkaido Ramen Santoyka. Nevertheless, given the convenience of the location, I decided to give it a try. Surprizingly, I was really impressed. The food and place exceeded my expectations. One insight would be that I shouldn’t judge so hastily and give other ramens a try. HAHA.
Awase-Aji Ramen
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Their ramen was good, but I wasn’t a fan of the noodles and it’s firmness during that visit.
Tossed Green Salad
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was okay. Good for 2. I wouldn’t voluntarily order this though.
Kurobuta Gyoza
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I liked this order the best. It wasgood gyoza.

I’m basically a ramen but at the same time a meat person too. I ordered something with enough meat then ordering an ordinary bowl. Tokusen Toroniku Ramen. (The first time I posted on Instagram about Santouka, February 18, 2014) Their set meals are good, perfect for two big eaters or meals for two. (By ordering a large size)
Through the years, I’ve been consistent with my Kara-Miso order here. But if I were to order a set, I’d always go with Salmon Roe which I ordered and posted about too. (September 28 of the same year) Over-all this ramen place has a lot of competition because of the trend but, people come back for more.
Because the one un Eastwood had a broken ac when we visited 2 weeks ago,m and did not dine there anymore, we went here in greenhills for lunch before watching a movie. No surprise there. I love the ramen. Enough said.
Food was nice. We love the broth. I like that the charsiu pieces were lean and not fatty. The price is reasonable. The staff weren’t very attentive though. You have to call out today several times before they respond, even though one staff was just standing right beside our table.
Super loved their atc branch because of the quality of the food and the service they gave me. That pushed me to check if all the branches are really consistent. Tried their tagaytay branch and now their GH branch.
food- 4/5 - ordered a meal set since I'm solo that time.
place- 3/5 - a bit small compared with other branches.
waited for 10 mins just to be seated.
If you really want to get the best out of Santouka's food, you must try their tokusen toroniku ramen. I personally prefer their spicy broth, but it'd still be good even if you choose other broths. The best part of tokusen toroniku ramen is the meat. Unlike other ramen places here in Manila that serve just 1-2 slices of chashu, here you get a plate of 5-7 slices of amazingly tender pork cheek meat. I can never get enough of it. I haven't found any other ramen place here that serves pork cheek or even that much meat in ramen. The service can be just a little slow sometimes especially during peak hours, but aside from that Santouka is definitely my favorite ramen spot in Manila.
Good food and good service!
It's actually my first time and it was satisfying I will definitely be back.
I will recommend this to my friends and workmates!
Yummy ramen. Good pieces of pork and shoyu broth. The server was kind to note that hot water refills for tea is complementary. Good and prompt service. The restaurant has an odd layout so servers congregate in the middle near the kitchen. The back seating area has poor lighting.
We went here for dinner last Saturday and it was quite fine. I love Japanese food and this has been in my to-go-to list for a long time. The spot we got was kind of warm because the air conditioner was not working. Though, we didn’t mind because there was a huge fan covering us. We ordered set meals A, B, and C and they were all really good. I’m in love with their Miso ramen. The shrimp tempura, karage, and tonkatsu was really nice as well. The tempura was not at all covered in batter and was “siksik” with the shrimp. I would love to have their curry soon. We tried to get it but they unfortunately someone had ordered the last stocks left. It probably means it’s really good as it ran out quickly. The crew were okay, could be better but they weren’t at all bad. Coming back to try more of their ramen and of course, their curry.
The place is perfect for friends who just want to chill and catch up. The food was tasty. The staff were attentive to the guests. It felt like we were in our little private nook even if there were other diners as well.
This restaurant offers an array of Japanese delicacies but focus more on ramen. I really did like their spicy miso ramen, which had a mild impact of spiciness combined with chunks of chewy bamboo shoots, vegetables and pork cuts. I ordered their Set A: tonkatsu paired with a small bowl of ramen, tea, veggies, and dessert. Their small ramen bowl size is already satisfying enough and hits the spot well. However, one note my friends made of is their broth. Although good, it's richness in flavor causes your palet to be jaded after some time. Ramen isn't the dish you'd devour quickly, so taking much of your time might not equate to an empty bowl.
The tongkatsu was really, really good! I liked the preparation of the sauce where you'd be the one to grind the sesame onto a bowl with a rigid interior. The sauce is sweet, has a gingery aroma, and is delectable.
Above all, it was a nice experience as the interior felt large enough for a ramen house, and the ambience was good and mellow.
One of the good ramen places we have in Manila. I usually eat here when I don't know where to eat when I'm in Greenhills. It's always a comfort food. Try all their ramen and choose among which flavor is to your liking. I personally like the Kara-miso because it's spicy and it is packed with flavor.
They have widen their menu options which is nice. Now they are offering sushi, ala cart orders and bento style options. I ordered Tori Karaage (Php 220) and Char Sui Chahan (Php 150). The rice was already a meal on it's own since it had meat chunks in it. Karaaga was cooked to perfection. Request for Japanese mayo for dip. 🙌🏼
Tried their Kara-miso and gyoza
its good 👍 both of it 😊
its a bit far from my place though but its worth it 😄 hope to visit again when I'm not busy 😆
Broth - 3.5/5
Noodles 3/5
Gyoza 3.5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Staff was friendly but service was slow. Good quality food though not much stood out. I just really wish service would've been faster. It took almost 10 minutes for an order of rice. Considering they had 2-3 idle servers at a time i really wish they picked up the service time.
I've been here a couple of times and every single time it never fails to leave me craving for much, much more. Its broth has a slightly smokey and creamy taste that makes it unlike any other ramen shop I've been to. It's absolutely unique and peaceful (plus the store is really cozy too) and I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nearby ramen shop that won't disappoint😉😉
This is still my most favorite ramen place. I come here for most of my ramen cravings and they never disappoint when it comes to service and food quality. I always order the set meal because I can get a taste of a little bit of everything from the menu. You dont need to worry about the small portions because you will, for sure, feel full before you even finish half of the set. I ordered shio ramen and chicken for my set. My company ordered a spicy type of ramen with salmon. Lavet!!!
I didn’t know that this place is much bigger than it looks, probably because it’s located at the far end corner of the second floor of Promenade. During our visit, the place wasn’t that packed (but not super empty either) since it wasn’t dinner hour yet. It took us some time to decide what ramen to order but I ended up with the usual Shoyu Ramen and Shio Ramen. I was kind of disappointed that their Shoyu ramen didn’t have tamago in it so I had to order/pay extra for it. The boyfriend ordered Shio Ramen and was surprised that his order didn’t have nori in it. Hence, I asked the server to put the nori on a separate plate so I can share it with him. Our orders arrived in less than 10 minutes after we placed it and they followed our instructions (nori). The Shoyu Ramen tasted the usual ramen and was just okay. I’m still pretty bummed that it didn’t have tamago in it. The boyfriend also ordered their Iced Tea. He got really intrigued seeing it from a nearby table. Their iced tea was a bit blended and happy to know that it had more flavor than ice on it.
Overall, it was really good. I just hope they look into their ramen ingredients and make it consistent.
We went here last Sunday, and although it has limited space and they are unwell lit, those are actually the factors that made it comfy and cozy. But, let me just clarify that it is not "UNWELL LIT" like you'd be blind to what you're eating, but it's just "UNWELL LIT" it won't allow you to take good photos with your iPhone.
But the service is terrific! When we asked them if they can serve in less than 20 mins because we have barely 30 minutes for the movie we had to catch, they accepted the challenge and they started serving our orders 5 mins after. And I really admire restaurants who know what "urgency" is. Great job on that!
We ordered the Awase-Aji Ramen, Mixed Seafood Furai, Salmon Salad and Karaage Pao. They are all delicious. Although the ramen, wouldn't look the same as the one in the menu because the one served to us didn't have those loud leafy veggies in the middle, but it's okay because probably they just did it for the photo shoot of the food. For the Mixed Seafood Furai, they are deep-fried breaded Salmon and Tempura. And they are cooked well! It's crispy and it's not so oily even though it was deep-fried. Lastly, the Karaage Pao, well the mere fact that a Karaage is in a Mantou, that's already a work of art. Oh and the Salmon Salad was my brother's order, but the salmon in there and the sauce together, double thumbs up!!
THEY ALSO HAVE RESTROOM! Thank you!
But one thing that they have to improve, product knowledge. Some crew, doesn't know what Wasabi is. When we asked for one, she said they don't have. Good thing the manager heard us, so she quickly corrected and said that they have. ....So we were served with a PEA SIZE wasabi. That's another thing you have to improve. GIVE US A LOT OF WASABI!!!!! Like a spread or as big as broth cubes.
But all in all, I'd return and eat here again! Thank you for the good service!
Late review. Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday (and his return from a successful trip from Japan). Ramen choices they had were pretty straightforward. The flavor profile was also present as it is. Very soulful, hearty and flavorful ramen. I like my ramen simple-Shio would be the best choice.
They also serve sides like gyoza or rice meals if you're up for an appetite.
This restaurant is worth the pay!! Very delicious ramen we've tried to order their set menu pretty expensive but totally worth it! i will comeback for the ramen and their salmon so delicious!!
My partner was craving for ramen and was annoying me the whole day to go out and have some. I couldn't think of a place that serves good ramen since it was raining hard and we were quite lazy to visit other place than Greenhills so, I decided to drag her at Santouka.
I was actually having second thoughts but I'm glad we stayed. Lol. The food was good. Serving time was fast and staff was attentive.
The Chicken Gyoza was the bomb! The sauce was superb. I actually enjoyed the Gyoza more than the Ramen. Lol. A good additional order I'd recommend!
Wow! Everything is soooo good! :)
The place is designed very nicely and its very clean. The staff were all accomodating and friendly. The food was really good! Everything tasted fresh and made in high standards. The value for money is good as well.
We had Pao for starters, then we got the ramen set meals (one each), and also Purin and Azuki with Matcha ice cream.
This meal brought me all kind of memories from Japan and it was really amazing.
We are gonna come back here for sure!! :)
I enjoy going to this place for a quick Ramen fix. First of all, the serving and the taste is really worth the price. I usually order the shin aji ramen - it's not that plenty and I also have this thing about not liking my noodles to be in soup because it won't be as firm (Is it just me or what..). I also recommend trying their Awase Aji Ramen and the Chicken Ramen. One thing I like about their broth is that it's not as heavy (for me) as other ramen places'.
Great value for money. Wife and daughter shared a set dinner meal of their yummy karamiso ramen and pork cutlet with rice. I was surprised at the size of the pork cutlet -- this alone would make a filling meal for me. The ramen was also just the right size for my wife. Needless to say, both were very good though the pork won't match those served in specialty pork cutlet joints (like Yabu, etc) but it comes close enough.
On the other hand, I had the shin-aji tsukemen. This is a lighter version of the many tsukemen types we know which usually have a thick, heavy and sometimes "too flavorful" broth. I actually liked this for a lighter tsukemen meal that's not overbearing.
A bit expensive, but who cares if the food is JUST THAT GOOD. I even got to take home some 😂 the staff is very accommodating and the place is nice, comfy and classy 👍 GOOD FOR DATES (if you wanna impress her 😉)
To make your moneys worth and want to try a couple on their menu go for their set meals even if the portion of the ramen is a little bit smaller than the original serving but the add on and extra that comes with ot will fill your tummy til your next meal.
Now, on with this legendary ramen king, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. With franchises in Japan, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Indonesia, it has now joined the ramen bandwagon here in the Philippines.
The restaurant is named after the Haiku poet, Santouka Taneda. Why do you think it is legendary? The ramen chain started in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan back in March 1988, where the owner Hitoshi Hatanaka decided to create the best ramen for his family, after eating a bad ramen experience.
They started small, with only Shio Ramen as the focus of their menu. Soon, Santouka’s Ramen traveled around Japan with their signature Toroniku Char Siu pork as the star of their ramen.
The Toroniku Char Siu pork is hailed from important parts, where 200-300 grams per pork is only used and daily for a limited quantity only. The broth, that many of us quite enjoy, is actually simmered at the right temperature along with pork bones for more than 20 hours before it adds all u around the world.
When I first ate here at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, the place was quite full and I was sixth in line. This allowed me to study their menu well, and understood that their Santouka Set Menu was the the most practical item in their menu.
So yup, I ordered the Santouka ramen set before and so did my bf. On our our second time I tried their Salmon Salad that I will surely come back for it - over and over again. I love how the wasabi was mixed with the salad. Making the dish get the edge of giving a kick! I also love how fresh the salmon was. I enjoyed every bit of it plus it was a healthy dish!/Next to that, we ordered the Salmon cold noodles. Why Salmon again?
It's lent so we opted to eat fish (seafood instead of meat). Same with the salad it was fresh and flavorful! Although the appearance did not appear that appetizing compared to the salad. But, yup it still tasted great!
To wrap it up, I will surely visit santouka again. This was in my ramen bucket list! Might as well add it to yours too!
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka offers tasty ramen. Serving sizes is definitely worth your money. Try their set menus which includes ramen, meat like tonkatsu or chicken, rice, soup, veggies, fruit and tea. You can order different kinds of set menus and also different styles and sizes of ramen then just add ramen toppings if you want. Just a simple affordable ramen house.
In comparison to the usual regular sized serving of most ramen house, their regular bowl seems smaller. Nonetheless, the have good ramen. Service can be faster though.
Pork isaw ramen
Ang dami ng isaw solid ang saya!!! Tapos may garlic slices AHHHHHH garlic yuuuummmm....
Maalat yung sabaw Sakto lang yung anghang
Noodles nila Sakto lang din hard enough Pero Di Ko lang talaga type lasa
Regular size was big enough at gutom pa ako nun.. Naghanap pa ako ng large wala pala large yung flavor na yun. Buti na lang.
Might go back for it....might.
Excellent food! Shiu ramen was outstanding. The Iberian pork was also really good.
Highly recommended restaurant except for one aspect. One expects good teas in a Japanese restaurant. This place has no loose tea. Only tea bag tea. Come on! For a Japanese restaurant??! That's the only reason I don't give this place a 4:5 or 5.
Timing was perfect on this very special day that I tried Santoulka for the 1st time. It was a gloomy and rainy so what better way to cure that than a great bowl of Ramen.
Located on the 2nd floor in promenade entering the resto, immediately you are greeted by a warm staff & nostalgic interior as an appetizer for your palettes choices.
Ordered their spicy Ramen along with chicken gyoza & chicken karaage. This meal did not disappoint & the flavors further solidified it's place in my book of top notch authentic Ramen in Manila. Definitely this place is a must with the price point very reasonable.
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka offers tasty, accessible ramen for which you don't have to brave an hour-long wait. Get the Santouka Set Menus for a great deal.
This place has a simple menu--you can order a couple different styles and sizes of ramen, and then add toppings into the ramen, if you want. They have a few other non-ramen entrees, drinks, and appetizers/sides.
I got the Spicy Creamy Shio Ramen for Php440. The ramen's broth is wonderfully savory and not too oily. The noodles are probably a little harder than standard, but it works well. The chashu (pork belly) was not overcooked and will basically just fall apart in your mouth. It was succulent and tender, I enjoyed every last bit of it, while the bamboo had the right texture and sweetness. We also ordered Edamame and Ebi Furai as appetizers and they did not disappoint!
The experience at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is casual and trendy--just the way I like it. It doesn't carry the worn, authentic feel of Little Tokyo ramen joints, but it also doesn't sport the line of the popular ramen joints--and that alone is enough to sell you on this place.
I enjoyed everything I ordered and I will definitely come back. It's not the best, but it's exceptional, and for the convenience and experience this place offers, it's well worth your time.

I enjoyed their buffet salad and simple dessert line up. Looking forward for my next dinner in this restaurant
Ramen being one of the biggest trends to hit this year, I decided to try Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. It's interior offers an authentic Japanese feel. I always have their Set Menus because they are more worth the price! I have (Set J) with Miso Base for the ramen, additionally because their Roasted Pork Cheeks are also to die for. I also get an additional order of Tamago (soft-boiled egg) to top my ramen. The soup is flavorful though the noodles lack chewiness, in my opinion. Dishes in Hokkaido Ramen Santouka are a bit too pricey for my taste so I opt dining in cheaper, more satisfying ramen houses instead.
Product Quality: very rich broth, noodles were not soggy, tonkatsu was not oily and dry but not that moist in the inside, rice was moist and palatable
Service: needed to wave hands several times since servers were on the entrance rather than monitoring the tables
Cleanliness: on the average
Value for Money: worth it for a meal for two at 1,200
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is one of the recommended restaurant for everyone to visit, especially if they are craving for ramen (a Japanese noodle soup dish , quickly cooked and typically served in with broth meat and vegetables).
One of their dishes that I tried is the Spicy Creamy Shio Ramen . Aside from the ramen noodle, their ice tea shake also tasted good. I tried this restaurant with my sister in Promenade Greenhills Shopping Center. I was satisfied with their food and would definitely visit this place once again with my family or friends and try out another dish.
Of all the ramen brands that came here in 2013-2014, Hokkaido Santouka was the last one I needed to try. Just like Kichitora Ramen of Tokyo, ramen houses now live not on ramen alone; they can't. Santouka is offering two sizes of ramen for customers, and bento-style sets that are incredible value for money at P450-540, pre-tax and pre-service charge.
Don't believe me? We ordered the P540 small ramen set with pork cutlet. There was ramen, pork tonkatsu, Japanese steamed rice, a salad, fruit, and tea. A year or two ago, we all fell over ourselves paying close to that for a bowl of ramen alone.
The best part is, I loved the taste of their ramen broth, while the cutlet rivalled Yabu's in terms of crust, frying style, and meat quality. Their service was great, even on a full house.
This is more like it. Feel free to debate with me on this, but I definitely rate them above Ikkoryu and Ramen Nagi.

At last I gave in to my husband's insistence that we dine here. I'm not a ramen person so I was readying myself to be disappointed. Happily, though, there are other dishes available here that are more suited to my taste. When I sampled some of my hubby's order of Kara Miso Ramen (the one with the spicy soybean taste), I found it hearty and flavorful but a bit overwhelming. I was glad that I was able to order a Tonkatsu (probably taken from the Katsu place next-door) as well as a Salmon Furai, both of which I heartily enjoyed. I wouldn't hesitate dining here another time.
A ramen chain, and for good reason.
This place has it all, exquisite service, delicious food, relaxing ambiance. It is at the pricier side of things but the price is worth the food. I love the sets and this is definitely a place to have good authentic ramen.
order the pork belly ramen. the one with extra meat! solid meat chunks! definitely love this compared to the thin sliced meats in standard ramen bowls. char sui ramen. look at that piece of meat. solid meat.
My girl friend and I ordered 2 set meals. I love the chicken karaage which was tender and flavorful and the miso ramen. A set meal is almost good for 2 so it was really a great value for money. I wouldn't say that about their service though.
We had their Char Siu Ramen with Grilled Salmon And Salmon Roe Set which I really loved since I'm a big fan of Salmon!!
Ramen Night last saturday!! Ohwell Hokkaido's perf for dinner! 👍 Especially this rainy season. Haha!! 😊
What we had during our stay were the following: Santouka Set Menu A which is the Small Ramen & Pork Cutlet & Small Rice Bowl Set in which we chose the Shoyu Ramen (Soy Sauce) that'll cost you Php 540. We also had their Santouka Set Menu H which is the Small Ramen & Mixed Furai Rice Bowl Set wherein we chose the Kara Miso Ramen (hot soybean paste) and that is for Php 560. Lastly, we also had a single/regulat serving of Char Siu Ramen which is their Shio (salt) flavor. 😁
All the set menu that we had was great coz it comes with 1 small ramen, 1 tsukemono, 1 salad, 1 dessert and one hot tea which I find not bad. 😊
In my personal opinion, if you're not a big eater I would suggest that one set menu would be enough or would be good for two pax already. Just sayin' based on our experience.
The ramen was too tasty that we even asked for hot water hahaha!! But its good especially The Kara Miso since it has this right amount of spiciness. At first I was too scared to try it coz I think it would be burning hot haha but luckily it was not it was tolerable tho. Since in my first visit I had their Shio so might as well give it a try and so I did. 😂
The Mixed Furai was great especially the Tempura all time fave!! 👍 It also has salmon and pork cutlet. But I must say that the pork cutlet was a bit dry for me still Yabu wins my heart when it comes to pork cutlets. 😁
Service and Ambience was great!! 👌
Ambience was indeed cozy, Japanese feels ✅ dim lights ✅
The ramen adventure doesn't stop! Hey y'all zomaters. I'm not done with Greenhills yet coz there are just a lot of great finds around the block. And if you're still not tired of Japanese food, I suggest you try Hokkaido Ramen Santouka if you ran out of other options. We were curious about everything on the menu and I just felt the lack of enthusiasm among its choices. At least we tried out there Santuoka Chicken Ramen, which is somehow my fave. Awase-Aji Ramen might be sumptuos-looking but I don't think it was their best and they can do much better. Other than that, the place is cozy but if you're a claustrophobic, you might not want to get in. They serve beer package which is very tempting especially when you want to have tonkatsu to go with the booze.
My verdict, nothing so significantly special but a must-try.
Best of both worlds. While it's a warring zone of Jap restos between pleasing ramen lovers or katsu junkies, this place gives you a delectable hint of both. Order Kara Miso Ramen with their shrimp katsu, served with Miso Soup, veggies and even a slice of green tea pudding. For 500++ this is worth it and the quality is never far from excellent!
This is one Ramen house that you can always go back to again and again. What I love about this place is that they have a wide variety of japanese food. Well, since I visited the place to eat ramen and of course it was Shio Ramen. The smell is soo good. The soup? It taste awesome and the noodles, just right. Just what I love with ramen. You can also opt to try their set meal which include a small size ramen and other food items that can guarantee awesomeness. Tried their set meal once and I am so full I don't wanna go home. Haha. Teo thumbs up.
I have been craving for japs food lately and I have tried Yabu the day before and up to day I still crave for japs food. We were about to try Wafu still in GH area but unfortunately we were not able to make it to lunch, since I crave for japs, we're looking for japs resto and then this place came to my mind. It's perfect to have this set in a very hot afternoon. Ramen, plus tempura, plus rice, plus a lot more are equal to being extraordinary!!!!

I ate here with my friend after doing some shopping in the shopping center. the place is a little small and we waited a while to get seated, that was actually understandable since we ate during lunchtime and there was a lot of people.
once we got seated, we waited a while for the menu to be given to us. there were a group of foreigners next to us. What I noticed is it takes some time for us to get what we ordered. i Ordered the Toroniku ramen, the one with the roasted pork cheeks. those are just lovely. it melts in your mouth and i enjoyed it very much. My friend ordered the Ikameshi set. She said it was ok but she prefers the ramen at ramen nagi.
overall it was a nice experience, though i must say that the servers on there was not very attentive. we followed up our drink orders 3 times before those were served to us in contrast to the group of foreigners that got their orders pretty quick even the bill took time to get to us..
Food Wise ill give it a 4.00 but for service ill just give it a 2.5 so overall ill give it about 3.0-3.5
We dined at the Trinoma branch. We ordered Ramen, Kimchi and Gyoza. Their Gyoza is 3.5/5 then their Kimchi is 2/5. It's one of the worst Kimchi I ever had. The Ramen is really good but the Ramen of Ramen Nagi is much better in all aspect of it. The Trinoma branch looks old. Tables got some small scratches and the couch smells like ramen and sweat. But overall, it was a good experience.
We dined at their trinoma branch and availed of the ramen + pork tonkatsu + salad. It wasn't the best ramen we've had but we enjoyed it. We never felt bad shelling 700 bucks for our meal. The place has a cozy interior and service is good.
Tried their kara-miso ramen. The soup is really thick which is actually one of the good things about it. The noodles is as flavorful as the soup. There's nothing more that a neophyte Japanese cuisine lover can ask for. Really perfect for cuddle weather.
Awesome experience for me and my friends on our first visit.
Sarap! A bit pricy Pero okay naman! Good flavor! Great aroma! Servings can be shared, perfect for dates!
Great ramen plus the katsu to sum up the food journey! This is while waiting for my new pup. #ramenventure #katsuciting
This Toroniku Char Siu pork is hailed from important parts, where 200-300 grams per pork is only used and daily for a limited quantity only. The broth, that many of us quite enjoy, is actually simmered at the right temperature along with pork bones for more than 20 hours before it adds all those delectable ingredients that we all love. The blend is so exceptional, they have to maintain the same ritual across all franchises around the world.
When I first ate here at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, the place was quite full and I was sixth in line. This allowed me to study their menu well, and understood that their Santouka Set Menu was the most practical item in their menu. But the line was quickly attended to and I was able to get a table that’s quite cramp. This was better though than the long wooden table that was near to the kitchen, where chairs didn’t have backrests. On another note, I didn’t feel the Japanese aspect of the restaurant, even though there were a lot of Japanese inspired ornaments hanging on the ceiling. The interiors didn’t spell out legendary for me.
My order came quick, and I knew that the kitchen was very well-prepared. I ordered a Santouka Set, where I chose an upgraded Shoyu (soy sauce flavor) ramen, with chicken gyoza, gohan and even a cup of tea! (which I love, by the way). There’s also a side salad, Chawan Mushi and miso soup that is served. It costs only P430 but since I upgraded mine to a medium sized bowl, I added P50 more. I opted the Shoyu over Shio, because Shio ramen is saltier, and with Shoyu, I feel like the Char Siu pork’s taste is emphasized. This is also a tad expensive over the Miso-Ten’s Tonkotsu ramen set that costs only P400.
The temperature of the soup is not too hot. I think they wanted the customers to sip the soup from the bowl, much like what the Japanese culture teaches us. I was seated beside two Japanese men, by the way. I made sure I was slurping my soup.
As a side order, I ordered their Ebi Furai. It tastes delicious and crunchy. I wish, though, they didn’t serve this with a tartar sauce.
I also ordered Tori Karaage. The order only has three pieces of small chicken, which isn’t that good. But the chicken skin was crunchy.
I’d definitely return to this restaurant, and try out the Kara Miso Ramen, which is spicier.
As I am becoming an avid fan of ramen, we have decided to dine at santouka promenade last night. I was a bit apprehensive because of the anticipated waiting time cause I have passed by the place countless times & I've seen the long lines of people waiting for a table. But lo & behold! We were 3rd on the wait list which is good enough for me. Upon checking out their menu, I immediately noticed that their ramen comes in 3 serving sizes being small, regular & large.. I find this practical because some ramen place only have one standard serving size-- which I normally cannot finish. I ordered the Tokusen toriniku shio ramen-- regular size. I was very excited to take my first sip of the hot broth. It didn't disappoint. Though I cannot say that this is the best I've tasted. But what really caught me off guard were the generous portion of thinly sliced pork cheeks. It is sooo good and tasty. I cannot get enough of this tender melt in your mouth goodness. This is pure bliss! The noodles are good as well with enough saltiness that blends with the broth. I also tried the tonkatsu which is nicely cooked-- tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. The gyoza is so so.
I would most likely return to this place to try out other items on their menu.
