We accidentally found this cute-cozy kind of resto as we roam around Greenhills. We just tried 2 of the best dishes and the calories are all worth it. Promise. At talagang susulitin mo bawat nguya. Aysh.
Dine in last night at Little Italy Greenhills. Great food, try their Grabriella Pizza, Mela Salad, Di Mare pasta. And of course thank you very much to their Manager Charlon, he has great customer service, accommodating and attentive. We will definitely come back!
Great service and great food. I'd like to commend the two waitresses who assisted us. I think one's name was Katrina and unfortunately, I forgot the other server's name. They were very prompt to assist us and were very welcoming. I didn't expect the large serving which was a great surprise and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to visit again :)
Excellent food and service!
Excellent food, cozy ambiance, great service! What more can you ask for.
Nice ambience and the food is superb! Try it out!
I love the restaurant. The Italian food is delicious.
Great-tasting Italian food!
Zao was a good experience, except for their garlic prawns dish, everything was good. Service was good. The fried rice was delicious, their Zao pho was really good, their cut up fillet mignon dish was awesome, but ended with a really bland and weird garlic prawn dish.

This is our go-to vietnamese resto when we’re in greenhills. Ambience is so-so. Could be more well-lit, but inspite of that, we always look forward to their fresh vietnamese rolls, zao satay platter, zao bbq platter (perfectly marinated and grilled assorted meats good for sharing), caramelized chicken wings and my personal favorite- chargrilled zao noodle bowl! 🍲 quality of food, taste and serving size are much, much better than the other (relatively new) vietnamese resto with branches in SM Aura and Podium.
zao pho- it got a lot smaller. fewer beef slices and fewer tendons. inflation? i dont know.
fresh rolls- really good as always. it has more veggies than glassnoodles. just the way I like it.
honey garlic spareribs- so juicy, so fatty, so tasty.
ambiance is really good. not too many people. servers were attentive.
Before watching movie with friends, we had a dinner at Zao. The food was delicious and their staff were friendly. I really loved their seafood salted egg rice. We also had shaken beef and we were shookt, it was soft and delicious. The chicken curry was also similar to thai curry. Overall, we loved the food and ambiance. Will definitely go back!
Excellent food and very nice grill aroma on the grilled items like satay and the bbq. The pho was good as well with a nice level of taste (saltiness) on the soup base. Not too salty. Plain rice was a pricey but i think that is the going rate nowadays.
Satay did not have peanut sauce served with it which might be a vietnamese thing (thai has that peanut sauce)? The satay and the bbq grill kinda tasted the same.
We had a nice experience in this place. The ambiance is very cozy and intimate. I think this can be a good place for a romantic dinner as well. The service is good and the food was served fast. I can say that the food is delicious. I like the pomelo salad, however it has very few lettuce for a salad. Value for money is okay. We ordered 5 dishes for 1600php for our group of 3.
Zao Vietnamese Bistro Vietnamese Restaurant first time to eat here very excited to try all food here , the food are yummy! beautiful place ... the servings so big

Nice place with interesting and aromatic food. Wonderful service, the waiters and waitresses are warm, attentive, and friendly. We're having springs rolls and satay for appetizers. The spring rolls are good and the satay are fragrant, slightly chewy, but good nonetheless. We had their green mango lapu lapu and their shaking beef as well. The lapu lapu is a bit small but delicious nonetheless. It's fresh and it is paired very well with the green mangoes. The shaking beef is quite tender and tasty. I'd recommend them both as safe orders. I got their garlic rice which is garlic-y - naturally, but lacks salt. We also tried their stuffed tofu and beef noodles. The stuffed tofu is crunchy and I'm not exactly sure what it's stuffed with because the sauce poured over it covered the content, but it's good. Not as tasty as I'd like but then it's tofu. The beef noodles is very scrumptious. The noodles are thick but bouncy and the herbs are very evident with each bite. The dish fits well together. For my drink, I had their bottomless jasmine iced tea which is good but a bit too sweet for me, though I imagine the lychee to be sweeter so I'm not complaining. The food is all good but it's not a place I'd make a trip specially for. I'd be fine to return when I'm in the area.
Their satays were good but I've had better at Pink Panda and some other places.. As for the Pho, the broth was good but they didnt give me enough seafood or herbs. Most of what was served with it was the sauces (sweet and the spicy) and noodles and bean sprouts. Even tho Phone how isn't the best, i still prefer their pho more.
Ordered the Zao bowl (pictured). Looks great right? However it's not exceptional. Noodles were almost undercooked. Not enough meat. Too many spring rolls, all deep fried. Service is passable. Strange ambience, in the second floor of an open area above Tuan Tuan. If you're in the Greenhills area and craving Vietnamese food I guess this will do. But Pho Hoa in Virra Mall was tastier and had better value for money.
Good Vietnamese restaurant now in Greenhills.
Thought that this would be just another pho place but this one beats most of the others! Tried a lot of good stuff like their pho beef noodles, appetizer sampler (fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, crackers (quite tough though) and chicken and pork sate bbq. Also got their barbecue platter (porkchop, bbq, liempo), famous fried rice and tofu lemongrass. All so delicious!
To cap off our meals, get their calamansi tart and pair it with drip coffee for ultimate satisfaction.
Been here a couple of times and I could say I loved the experience!
The ambiance is very chill and it would be a nice place to have a simple dinner over a talk with friends.
Ordered a lot from the menu but I highly recommend the chicken barbeque and the fresh spring rolls! Something definitely worth going back to. :)
A vietnamese concept that started at the sprout of Serendra. It expanded to Greenhills promenade as their second branch, I think. It is located at the loft area of the hall.
Looking at their menu, their specialties are Pho, Vietnamese grilled meats, and some appetizers.
We ordered the seafood pho, grilled meat noodles salad, and fresh spring rolls.
Seafood Pho was generously topped with fish, fish balls, shrimp, and some squid strips. The pho based was clear soup that was light and flavorful.
The Zao Bowl noodles set was overflowing with fried spring rolls and grilled meats over vermicelli noodles. It was like a rice bowl, but instead of rice, it was noodles. The quantity of springroll was too much for the noodles. I love the grilled pork meat topping that reminded me of 'moo ping' or the sweet glazed bbq of Thailand. (shared cuisine-BBQ)
Fresh Spring Rolls (shrimp and pork). Rice noodles was wrapped with vegetables, noodles, and some pork. It has lesser noodles than what I expected, but a bigger cucumber. It was paired with peanut and hoisin dip that gave it life. I want it a whole shrimp per portion to get the taste and texture of it, not just a sliver.
Zao may look expensive at first glance, but they have big servings to share. From what we ordered, it was good for 3 instead of 2. We were stuffed going out. We enjoyed everything here, but will soon try some different appetizers like the shrimp cake and even the grilled shrimp in sugarcane.

On the table:
1. Meatball Pho -- broth and noodles were great. Meatballs meeeeehhhhh!
2. Chicken Pho
3. Pork Vietnamese Satay -- tender pork. Reallyenjoyed this one with my pho.
4. Vietnamese Coffee -- this I found really odd. In Ba Noi's and other Vietnamese restos, they let the coffee drip in a coffee mug then you put the condensed milk and then your pour it into a glass of ice. This one was weird. They let the coffee drip in a glass with ice and the condensed milk was at the bottom. That's why coffee was watered down cos it melted the ice as it dripped. Really weird.
But all in all, good dining experience. Ang konti ng tao though. Good value for money and good ambiance. You'd think it was a fine dining resto cos of the interiors.

Hoping for a quick bite with dad and my sister before watching a movie with the cousins. We were undecided and my sister suggested their default pre-movie restaurant - Zao.
We started with Fresh Rolls while waiting for our food. As usual, I requested for the vinegar dipping sauce. Not a fan of peanuty hoisin sauce that were served with it. this is a good and healthy appetizer.
My sister really likes the Banh Mi here but prefers it without the pate. Although she was asked at the time she ordered, it was still served. We just returned it. I had a tiny bite and all I could remember is the hard bread.
We liked the tender and flavorful Vietnamese Beef Stew. I was expecting something spicy but it wasn't.
I loved my generous serving of Zao Bowl with the cold noodles, vegetables, assorted grilled meat and spring rolls. Although we couldn't figure out which was which, everything was tasty and good. The sweetness and acidity of the sauce was just right.
Dad and my sister liked their Refillable Tamarind Iced Tea which I found a bit sour. I prefer my iced tea on the sweet side.
The servers were nowhere to be found a majority of the time. A bit weird considering we were the only ones there on a weeknight. We had to stand up and go to them if we needed anything. They seemed preoccupied as well.
The portions were huge. The three of us must have been famished to have wiped out everything. On a normal day, this much would be considered over ordering. Or maybe we just really liked how all of the dishes tasted thus a clean table. I'm sure we'll be back for their delicious food but I hope they improve on their service.

We tried this restaurant after walking all over greenhills looking for a new place to try. Zao got our attention because we haven't tried vietnamese cuisine before. So we were seated along the veranda styled edge. We ordered Char-grilled noodle bowls-Garlic butter glazed shrimps and seafood noodles. The char-grilled noodle bowl was a definitely delicious and unique! The noodles with bean sprouts was served chilled and the sauce was very well suited. The shrimps were tasty and cooked perfectly. I really liked this cuisine,it offered a new experience for my palate.
The seafood noodles was tasty and the serving was goo enough for two people. The Vietnamese coffee was served with the filter itself and you'd have to wait for about ten minutes before you can drink it.
All in all we had a wonderful dining experience here because the food was really good and worth its price. Recommending this resto for those who want to try something new. Sadly I wasn't able to take any pictures.
Ambience is a bit dim but overall, food tastes great. We had seafood pho, satay platter, vegetarian fresh spring rolls, catfish pot, and water spinach with tofu. I love how their food are prepared savory but not salty. Price is good too compared to serving size.
While Vietnamese cuisine is not as popular as Italian or Japanese cuisine for most Filipinos, I think that Vietnamese food is pretty good in its own right. Zao’s dishes used a lot of fresh herbs and vegetables, and their dishes were light but very flavorful. My family ordered:
- Fresh Rolls (with shrimps, pork, noodles, bean sprouts, greens and yellow-bean Hoisin sauce)
- Shrimp Cakes (Deep Fried Shrimp Cake Patties with a sweet chili sauce)
- Zao Pho (flank, brisket, meatballs, tendons and rice noodles)
- Chicken Pho (Vietnamese chicken noodle soup)
- Seafood Pho (prawns, calamari, fish fillet, fish balls, fresh vegetables and rice noodles)
- Curried Chicken (simmered in a red curry sauce with sweet potatoes, eggplant and mushroom)
- Deep Fried Catfish (with a spicy ginger fish sauce)
- Stir Fried Vegetables (assorted vegetables sauteed in mild oyster sauce)
- Beef Curry Stir Fry (tenderloin cubes stir-fried with yellow curry, onions and bell pepper)
- Chicken Banh Mi (Vietnamese-style sandwich)
- Vietnamese Gourmet Coffee (comes with sweet milk)
The bowl of Chicken Pho was mine, which I enjoyed (save for a minor complaint being the quail egg which tasted funny so I only ate one out of the two). I also had the Shrimp Cakes and the Fresh Rolls, both of which were delicious. The husband, on the other hand, wasn’t too happy with his Beef Curry Stir Fry as he had wanted the curry sauce to be thicker. But he enjoyed the rest of the dishes as well.
A vietnamese restaurant in Promenade. This was my 2nd visit here to celebrate valentines. Prices could be a little higher but affordable for sharing. Vinegar sauce is really good and differerent from others maybe because of their viet style for the sauce. Menus include rice meals for sharing, fried seafoods, and some vegetables which are not far from filipino cuisines. Desserts and wines are also available. There is service charge here. they have a meal set on occasions i guess so.
My husband craved some pho & we decided to eat here for lunch. We had our usual pho order, Pho (P265) & Fresh Rolls with Shrimp (P215). My husband had Iced Tea Lychee (P115) as well, which was good.
In terms of food quality, this one is comparable to Pho Hoa although I find Zao's resto design better & more posh. Service here is better as well.

Service is A+ for several things:
1. Accommodating staff. The waiter just prepped the napkin on my lap
2. Food arrived within 10 minutes.
3. Proactive in refilling the water and bottomless iced tea.
4. Food tastes superb!
Definitely a MUST TRY!

There was a promo for 50% off on your 2nd entree so we ordered two Zao bowls and the Shaking Beef. The Zao bowl is a mixture of vermicelli, vietnamese barbeque and fried spring rolls - tasty and a big serving. The Shaking Beef was tender and flavorful but small in size
I'm naturally a Viet food lover so, yeah! The Zao Bowl (Vietnamese Dry Noodles) is a must try, it's really good and sulit because of the hearty toppings of spring rolls! 💓
Not a fan of Vietnamese cuisine until I tried Zao. Ordered the mouth-watering Saigon Porkchop (275php), Caramelized Chicken Wings(285php) Zao Barbeque Platter (575php) and Saigon Fried Rice (200++). 😊 Each serving is good for 2-3 persons.
We went to Zao Vietnamese Restaurant on Tuesday May 27th. The food there specially Pho is really close to an actual Pho that is made by Vietnamese themselves. Though, my Sister-in-Law said it was a bit salty but it's forgiveable. I loved the Barbeque Grilled chicken it's exactly the same taste as the vietnamese restaurants in US. I would only come back here only if there's a special occassion. the menus are pricey so its best to reserve this for special occassions.
I love trying out new restaurants. When i saw Zao, i was intrigued because there were so many people there and the place looked nice and comfortable.
Zao is a vietnamese restaurant in Greenhills Atmos. The food presentation was good, the food itself was really yummy, service was great, and their staff were really friendly as well.
Their serving is good for 2-3 people and it took us forever to finish the dish!
For starters, we had their
Fresh Spring Rolls
I really enjoyed it and their dipping sauce complimented the Fresh Spring Rolls well.
For our main course, we had their
Shaking Beef
This was really good and we enjoyed eating this with their Saigon Fried Rice
Barbecue Chicken
The Barbecue Chicken was great! It was really juicy and it was served with their sweet vinegar which was the perfect combination.
Saigon Fried Rice
I was intrigued by the fried rice because it was my first time to see "Saigon Fried Rice" in a menu. This was really good and the rice went well with the dishes we ordered
I am looking forward to visit Zao again someday!
