Our reliable, GO-TO, affordable, tasty food delivery service! A portion of their earnings go to fund firefighters and volunteers. Can't go wrong with their chicken, crispy pata and siopao. 👍🏼👍🏼

Great food and service! And they are part of volunteer fire fighters din!
Must try when in San Juan
Walking distance from my house. Love this place. Affordable na super sarap pa!!
Looking for some good ol' Chinese food at affordable prices? Golden Chicken House is your best bet. This classic restaurant has been around as early as 1983, and has consistently served honest-to-goodness, home-style dishes reminiscent of Chinese food served at Binondo.
Favorites include their Pineapple Honey Chicken, a sweet and savory take on the Singaporean soy chicken that's tender, juicy and tasty. And if you want something crunchy and fried, their Butter Chicken is a good choice. Their Super Special Misua is also one of my top picks, which features soft noodles cooked in a flavorful broth to give it a slightly wet texture. Combined with earthy flavors of mushroom, eggs and crisp veggies, this Misua is practically a meal of its own!
Located just along N. Domingo, Golden Chicken also houses their own in-house firefighting team as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to fighting fires, they guarantee hearty meals to keep your belly nicely filled.
Thanks for the invite Aileen Laurio!
The restaurant has been operating since 1983. They serve Chinese/Fil-Chinese cuisines. The first floor might look small but the second floor provides more space for customers. I like how the restaurant is air-conditioned so it's enjoyable to eat here even at noontime. Service is fast.
We got to try several dishes here in Golden Chicken House.
I like the Super Special Misua. It was topped with generous amount of toppings. Its soft noodles make it easier for me to taste the sauce (even if it looks soggy).
The Sieng Chew Bihon is quite new to me. This is a curry-flavored bihon and it was spicy.
The Pork Chop is tasty even without sou/calamansi dip. It was tender and crispy.
The Crispy Pata has that salty/crispy skin every Filipinos will love.
The Lumpiang Shanghai has a different texture inside. It's like a siomai/sausage/kikiam if I were to describe it.
I also like the Tokwa Fish Fillet because it seems like the fish fillet and tokwa is swimming on a sweet gravy-like sauce.
Price range is on the affordable-average side because they got big servings for the price compared to other Chinese restaurants in Manila/within the area.

It’s not often that we go to San Juan and eat there though it’s just adjacent to where I currently live. So, I wandered off to the smallest city in Manila to find a new foodie spot! And, I found a restaurant, The Golden Chicken House & Chinese Food Center, a restaurant who’s age is just about same as mine. It seemed that they must be doing something right to last that long, and I was curious to find out why.
After church family bonding here ⛪❤️
Must try here are : Beef Ampalaya, Beef Broccoli, Pancit Canton and fried chicken and Bbq for kids ✔️✔️
Golden Chicken House since 1983!
Golden Chicken is one one of the oldest Chinese Cuisine located at 163 N. Domingo St. San Juan City.
Started around September 1983 and it was the owner father’s business . Mainly delivery until they put up a dining area because they got a free space . The restaurant name before was Holy Chicken and then changed it’s name after his father died .
The restaurant now has around 30 plus employees . Part of their earnings goes to Volunteer Fire brigade they made and 2005 when they started the Golden Fire Rescue & Volunteer Unit Inc.
Golden Chicken House is your family restaurant in San Juan. It is San Juan Original Home of Great Tasting Chinese Dishes !
They have House Specialties, Golden’s Special Pansit sa Biloa, Chicken , Pork, Seafoods, Beef , Vegetables , Soups, Rice , Toppings , Others , Drinks
Last July 2, I visited this humble Chinese Cuisine . I tried their best selling Pineapple Honey Fried Chicken . Whole chicken only cost 350 pesos . I loved the taste of the skin up to the chicken meat . Next dish that i tried was the Pata Tim. It’s 445 pesos only. It’s a Filipino braised pork dish slow cooked until tender in soy sauce and you may request for additional pechay for a minimal cost. I also had some veggies and first time that I tried Beef Button mushroom , the beef is tender and blends well with the mushroom . Price is only 103 pesos . I had their BBQ Pork 5 sticks . It doesn’t have any fats only pure meat and it’s only 125 pesos . Last but not the least , their Pansit Canton Bilao. Available in Small, Medium, Large and XL. It has delicious toppings like quail eggs, pork etc. Other special Bilao offered are :,Bihon, Miki-Bihon, Miki Guisado, Chami, Spaghetti, Sotanghon,Satemi,Sieng Chew , Chamisua and Suoer Special Chamisua.
They also customized packed meals & party trays according to request and customer budget .
This is the restaurant where you can eat everyday and it won’t burn your pockets .
The ground floor has around 20 seating capacity while the second floor which they used for small private events like intimate weddings , Birthday , family reunions and other special occasions has around 50-60 seating capacity .
They have affordable party package when you book your event with them . Imagine they have a package around 3,500 pesos good for 20-30 persons consumable , what a great deal !
You can order Golden House Chicken Chinese Dishes also in advance if you want to have it deliver to your home or offices . Free delivery !
They also accept credit card for Dine In only and only Cash payment for take out .
I was really amazed with this humble restaurant . They don’t only served 100% freshly cooked dishes all the time , good quality , delicious , generous and affordable dishes
I was lucky also to meet the man behind the success of Golden Chicken House . This man has a big heart. I support and admire his dedication and advocacy in putting up the Golden Fire & Rescue Volunteer Unit. By patronizing this restaurant , we are also helping them to raise funds in supporting this brave and heroic firefighters to save lives and property . As of this period , they now have two beautiful fire trucks and it came from the earnings of the Golden Chicken House .
If you have kids you may bring them for a quick tour at the fire station.
I highly recommend this restaurant , good food and budget friendly and most of all staffs are friendly and accommodating.
They are accepting packed lunch too for parties .

An old Chinese restaurant in N.Domingo that is always crowded. Almost every night I pass-by Golden Chicken House back then and even if it is crowded, the exterior is really not appealing and you don't have the magnet vibe in it. One afternoon, nearby restaurant Firehouse Grill is still closed so we decided to dine-in here. The interior is no different from the outside, old resto vibe and when they handed us the menu it is in a cheap thin paper used for fliers. The foods on their menu are cheap. We ordered their Buttered Chicken, Barbecue, Pork Liver with Oyster Sauce, Miki Bihon and Garlic Rice. We planned to take-out all the excess for pasalubong that's why we ordered a lot. We ended up almost emptying every order because the food are really good. The Buttered Chicken is really special and I suggest you order this while the Pork Liver is a good partner for rice and the pancit.
An old, unappealing place on the outside but the menu will leave you wanting for more. They also have delivery services and we make sure we order every once in awhile after our great experience that afternoon.
Golden chicken house is not your usual restaurant since it has only one outlet in San Juan. I would really recommend their chicken. Well ofcourse that’s what their name is. It really tastes good. They have other dishes you can try too.
I always pass by this restaurant going to my doctor's clinic in QC or Big Scoop. The place doesn't look new, it's always empty every time I see it, but it's still standing. This got me curious. Anong meron? A few days ago, I was finally able to sate my curiosity!
As I was eating alone, I only ordered the 1/4 Fried Chicken with Rice and Siomai. I had the rice upgraded to Beef fried rice for an additional fee.
Food:
- Their Fried Chicken Best Seller: Pineapple-Honey Fried Chicken. The skin is crispy in some parts. Subtly sweet, so the chicken's natural flavor still shines. People like me who prefer milder tastes will appreciate it very much.
-- I got a wings/breast portion, so some of the inner meat were quite dry. VERY generous for the 105 Php price tag.
-- I ordered a half size of the same chicken (175 php, Pineapple-Honey) and my brother commented that it tastes Very much like Country Chicken. I don't know it, but it's apparently quite popular with his Chinese friends? I'll just assume it's really good, kasi he finished the chicken all by himself 😂
- The Siomai was somewhat akin to luncheon meat with fillers, but you still do see and taste ground meat in it. Bonus points for the shrimp on top. Again, for the price, it's still Sulit AF.
Service:
- Great! The staff were helpful and kind. Food takes a bit of time to be served, but this is apparently because all the food are made to order. For this same reason, they don't serve soup on the house like some Chinese restaurants tend to do. This is still a point in the restaurant's favor.
Overall, would definitely recommend, and a restaurant I'd return to! Bring your family so you can order more.
NOTE: They accept card payments for orders totalling 350 Php and up.
We always eat here during lazy sunday evening. The food is very affordable and best value for money, the staff are attentive and friendly. By the way, when you visit don't forget to try their maki and makimi soup.
Food - 3.5
Service - 3.5
Value for money - 4
Good food, affordable price and attentive staffs. Dined here with hubby & 2 sons, we ordered buttered chicken, lumpiang shanghai, chopsuey & fried rice. Buttered chicken is crispy & tasty espcially if you dipped it with their special sauce. Their fried rice serving can be shared. Nothing special with their lumpiang shanghai & chopsuey. Serving time took 20 minutes coz they only cook the food when you order. Overall my boys & I are busog & contented with their food.
Btw if your familiar with Terry's Kitchenette in Bambang I think they're the same owner.
Mura na masarap pa!!! Late review pero been visiting this place since their early years. Try their hototay soup, pineapple fried chicken and yang chow fried rice.
We don't normally dine here but on lazy days we call them for delivery (i guess San Juan area). Our usual orders here are as follows: pineapple chicken, asado (pork, pork innards or halo), adobong tokwa and their pancit. I like their asado because they're not dry and they also provide extra sauce (sorry not a fan of pugon roasted asado that is sooo dry... just me).
Good service. Good food. Good price. Friendly crew and of course they their own fire brigade. Awesome. You must try their pinapple-honey chicken and buttered chicken. Sumptous food!!!
Golden Chicken House is one of the oldest establishment in N.Domingo, since 1983. The look of the establishment is evident of its age, maybe renovated along the way.
We arrived late, almost 9pm and wasn't able to order their bestseller, The Pineapple Honey Fried Chicken. It was sold out, but they offered us theri Shanghai Fried Chicken.
The Shanghai fried chicken was battered and fried to crisp and served with sweet and sour sauce. The chicken, if eaten right away should be crisp, but we took it out to have it. The meat's taste was very familiar, similar to the 'S' brand of fried chicken. It was tasty, but the sweet and sour sauce was n't neither sweet nor sour, it tasted like a salty banana ketchup with a bit sweet & sour. I prefer the sauce less salty, and more of the usual sweet & sour sauce.
I'll have the Pineapple Fried Chicken next time I come back.

Golden Chicken House is that unassuming red & yellow restaurant along N. Domingo St. in San Juan. A day before my birthday, I got a sweet surprise from them – a full lunch delivered to the house!. I was so excited to try out their food. I’ve seen Golden Chicken House whenever I pass N. Domingo, can’t miss the big sign! But I’ve never really tried it before.
Golden Chicken serves the best most affordable comfort food in San Juan. Their dishes are mouth-watering. My personal favorites are their Pineapple Honey Chicken, Lumpiang Shanghai, Beef with Button Mushroom and Tokwa Sili Beef/Pork. The owner Jerwin Guan is a personal friend of mine and a fire volunteer. Part of the bill that customers pay goes to the Golden Fire & Rescue Volunteer Unit. Whenever you're in the San Juan area, give them a visit and try their affordable, fresh and mouth-watering comfort food.
I was so excited to try out their food. I’ve seen Golden Chicken House whenever I pass N. Domingo, can’t miss the big sign! But I’ve never really tried it before.
So we got some Pork Barbecue, their famous Butter Chicken, Lomi and Tokwa Sili Beef. The food was still quite hot when it arrived!
What really shocked me when I checked it out were the prices!
The Pork BBQ (5 sticks) is only P100 per order. The pork barbecue were meaty (almost no fat pieces), and the pork was tender and the flavor is pasok na pasok and very malasa. I had to use Tagalog words to describe it because the English words “strong” and “intense” seem negative, when the pork barbecue were actually very, very good for the price.
The Lomi is only P86. Unbelievable. Where can you find a good order of Lomi for only P86? And the size of the order is good for maybe 4-5 individual soup bowls. This lomi is fresh, and it also has some meat balls and some vegetables. It seemed a little too bland to me (lack of salt), but I assume that this is on purpose because some people might prefer a non-salty lomi. Anyway, you can always add soy sauce to suit your taste.
The 1/2 Butter Chicken is P150 (5 pcs chicken). The breading was crunchy and the chicken was juicy, but the bulk of the flavor comes from the sauce. The sauce is a sweet, tangy (with some hoisin?), slightly sour, soy sauce concoction. I’m actually more interested in trying the Pineapple-Honey Fried Chicken next time.
The Tokwa Sili Beef is only P83. This is actually my favorite dish of this meal. How did they come up with this dish? I love fried tofu. Check. I love beef cooked Chinese-style (like for Beef Hofan, or Beef in Oyster Sauce, etc…). It has green peppers. I LOVE THIS DISH. It’s definitely a new favorite! The beef is tender/tenderized, the fried tofu soaks up all the beefy soy sauce, the green peppers & black pepper provide heat but it’s not very hot. Not for me, anyway. For me, the heat was just mild but just right. At P83 per order, it is definitely on my must-order-always list.
They deliver even if you are located a bit far away. But the main reason I am gushing about them is because in all honesty, their prices are insanely affordable for really good food. The food is simple, unpretentious fare, and just plain comfort food to me. If you live within reasonable proximity, please give them a try. I have already posted their menu on the fridge for easy reference when we’re too lazy to cook dinner! I really think it’s possible to feed 4-5 people a complete & filling meal for less than P500 with Golden Chicken House – cook your own rice, of course!
SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE – GOLDEN FIRE & RESCUE VOLUNTEERS
And if all that above wasn’t enough reason for you to support Golden Chicken House, did you know that the profits from Golden Chicken House go toward funding the Golden Fire & Rescue Volunteer Unit?
Golden Chicken House started in 1983 doing food deliveries and take-outs. When the owner’s house and store almost caught fire, he realized he also wanted to help others by saving lives and property and joined the fire volunteers. When he was able to save enough to purchase his own fire truck, he established the Golden Fire & Rescue Volunteer Unit. They now have 2 fire trucks and a fire station! The funding for these come from Golden Chicken House.
So every time someone dines at Golden Chicken House, not only do they get delicious food at affordable prices, they also support the Golden Fire & Rescue volunteer firefighters.
If you have kids (or even grown ups who are interested), you can take them to visit the restaurant AND TAKE A TOUR OF THE FIRE STATION!
SUMMARY
Golden Chicken House serves good, affordable Chinese food. For the prices they charge, I find their dishes really sulit. The food is simple fare but delicious and flavorful. I predict it’s going to be one of our go-to places to order from when we’re too lazy to cook, or want a good meal quick, but on a budget.
On top of all that, every order you make also goes towards supporting volunteer firefighters, too!
They also accept packed-lunch orders for parties, etc… Please give them a try!
UPDATE 7/25/2015: We ordered from Golden Chicken House again last night and the Pineapple-Honey Fried Chicken is now our favorite chicken for delivery! Sorry, no pics because we were so hungry nobody waited for me to take pictures. It reminds me of Terry's and Savory Chicken. Don't forget to put some sauce on the chicken! The chicken is very juicy. I didn't really notice the pineapple and honey flavors because I was too busy eating, but trust me, this chicken is good! But with the sauce, it becomes perfect. *Ask for it to be chopped or they'll deliver the chicken whole.
Who would've known you can find some classic, home-style, and downright comforting Chinese dishes at a Fire Station? Well, now you know. Golden Chicken House & Chinese Food Center offers an impressive menu of beef, pork, vegetable, seafood, rice and rice toppings and their line signature chicken dishes. The cuisine is simple, no-frills, affordable, and honest, and the food recreates the homey flavors one can find in, say, your aunt's home. It's that kind of home-style rusticity that make the dishes of Golden Chicken House & Chinese Food Center so comfortingly familiar, and you can enjoy these dishes without even busting your wallet.
For starters, try some of Golden Chicken House & Chinese Food Center's crispy Chicken Lollipops (P 84), tender and juicy chicken with a perfectly crunchy outer layer, served with their homemade sauce. The Lumpiang Shanghai (P 78) is also another good side dish to pair with your meal, with a noticeably thicker yet crispy wrapper with a savory filling and served with a sweet chili sauce. It's already a meal in itself with steamed white rice. The Beef with Button Mushrooms (P 84) is a good main dish, with tender beef and nutty mushrooms. Drizzle some of the sauce on your rice and you've got a comforting meal.
The simplicity of the dishes give it a unique charm, and after a satisfying meal, you can even tour the fire station manned by all the volunteer Golden Fire rescue unit. All that, without busting your budget. Simple, home-style dishes with affordable prices. That's always a winning combo.
Being in a busy neighborhood, Golden Chicken is a good place to dine in. They serve affordable and tasty dishes to satisfy your Chinese food cravings. They have vast amount of menu items and they make sure that everything is available.
The place has been here since I was born and it has become a family favorite. We sometimes order from the place and eat it for dinner. I have tried to eat at the restaurant a couple of times too. It may look old and gloomy but the ambience is good. The place is well
maintained and they attend well to their customers. You should try their Butter Chicken, Pata Tim, Lomi, and their Pork Asado.
Overall, I would say that Golden Chicken is a great place to dine. They are consistent with their food and they value quality and quantity of every order we got.
This resto is a client of ours in the bank. We always order from them for freshly cooked lunch or merienda. We also order from them whenever we have parties or meetings. I particularly like their barbecue, shrimp balls, asado and pancit canton.
Golden Chicken House is our neighborhood go to delivery meal service. Been ordering here since the 80's during my younger days and up to now it has been a part of almost every home here in San Juan City. It is quite normal that once or twice a week I will be ordering (so thus my neighbors) my usual favorites from Golden Chicken. The usual favorites from their simple menu is the Pineapple Fried Chicken which has a unique taste of somewhat roasted and fried at the same time. It is tender, and the flavor is quite exquisite with the added appetizing sauce- sure is a winner. Next on my list is the Asado Rice Toppings which I always order with a special request for more sauce. This is not your ordinary pork asado on rice but it has some veggies and thick sauce. Love this so much over the hot steamy rice which I could consider as one of my comfort foods. Sometimes I will crave for their Pancit Bihon Guisado although theirs is quite dry and bland but there is something rustic about the flavor that I find very appealing to my pallet from time to time. Golden Chicken's Pancit Guisado for me taste best if paired with their delicious asado siopao- just love the siopao sauce. The usual dishes that I regularly order are: the butter chicken which is crispy tender with matching sauce; chopseuy (has a delicate taste but satisfying); beef steak Chinese style (very different with tons of sliced green pepper and onions which has a light soy and kalamansi thick sauce; pork barbecue is good; sweet and sour meatballs which has a strong sour taste but love it as well; kids at home just love their chicken lollipop and I do too; alimasag torta is yummy and the macao fried rice is super tasty.
What can I say, I guess I will be forever ordering from this neighborhood restaurant- and yes you can try to dine there too, although the place looks so and so but it is clean and what is important that the food has quality and taste. Did I say its quite affordable just refer to the menu above. Each order is good for 2 to 3 person which is very reasonable but depending on how huge your appetite is. But I rather have my own Asado Rice toppings and Pancit Guisado all to myself. Now this review makes me so hungry. I've gotta place an order now. Chow!
