Went here a while ago to have our early dinner. The food that we ordered was nice. I ordered the double boneless chicken barbecue. The texture of the chicken was nice and it was also juicy. It is best served with the barbecue sauce, but not too many. The serving size was also great. You can be full already at their servings. And the staff was also good accommodating. The parking space was limited only. :)
One of the best filipino restaurant I would go back to again and again. All the dishes are really good and will comfort you . The chicken and pork barbeque is to die for .
Their chicken, their java rice, and peanut sauce is still the best out there. Although they are more expensive than the other bbqs you can see the difference in quality. The smoothness of their peanut sauce 😋 even their other food are great.
Been dining here since I was a kid and they may have renovated this place a few times! Their latest renovation is the best in terms of utilizing space! Food quality remains consistent throughout the years and more parking dedicated to Alex III right across their restaurant which is perfect as this area has very limited parking!

Chicken barbecue is one of my fave comfort foods and when I want this dish there is only one place that comes to mind Alex III! Try out their other dishes for variety.
Best local restaurant for me serving comfort food favorites. Must not miss their adobong pusit, chop suey, chicken bbq, and the best camaron rebosado in Manila. Great service and value.
Still can't beat the old classic Mixed Boneless Chicken and Pork Barbeque P319.00
This restaurant has been around for ages and they still consistently serve great food. What's more is they still retain the good ol' unlimited bottled java sauce as compared to the other brand.
Good ole Aristocrat meal of pork and chicken BBQ with their inimitable peanut sauce. I had their combination of boneless chicken and a stick of pork BBQs. I couldn't complain. Bring me back to nostalgia when we frequented their flagship branch along Malate/Roxas Blvd (I still believe that the latter is the best Aristocrat branch). There's no need to describe their BBQs -- always good with a consistent taste when matched with their peanut sauce.
We had some side dishes, their tokwa't baboy and okoy. The Tokwa't baboy was great. I think they use Japanese tofu here to provide that really soft creamy tofu inside. I would have preferred the outside to be a bit more fried and crunchier though. It came with with sliced mushrooms which was a perfect match. Their okoy was likewise very nice. I just found them a bit too thick and would have wanted them crunchier.
Alex III has always been one of the go to places when you want chicken barbecue. We ordered their Tuna Sashimi, Camaron Rebusado and of course, Boneless Chicken Barbecue.
The Tuna Sashimi was fresh and the slices were thick.
The Camaron was tasty and flavorful. It also had a large serving.
I...
Le sigh, again, another family lunch with relatives visiting from the US (I'm not complaining though - free food!). They wanted a Filipino place near the area and thought of Alex III. And even though I live just a few blocks away, I've never been, so I was excited to try their food. We ordered:
Chicharon bulaklak
Delicious! Not too greasy/oily. I only had one piece though because... I'm pregnant and I try to eat right (keyword: TRY). Hahaha
Kare-kare
North (my husband) said the meat was tender. I only eat vegetables in kare-kare. I prefer this dish to have more vegetables though, but I still enjoyed it :)
Inihaw na bangus & BBQ
The pork barbecue was good, as was the bangus, but the serving was so small! There were 10 of us so we literally just had a bite each. We didn't expect the portion to be that small so next time we'll know to order more.
Adobong pusit
This was good. The pusit wasn't overcooked/chewy. I enjoyed it :)
Lengua
I'm not a big fan of lengua! So, I tried a bite and it was okay. It was soft and kind of fatty, but I couldn't finish the serving given to me. My cousin Carlo from the states though... Devoured the whole thing.
Honey Chicken
This was my favorite! I liked it with their special sauce. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor!
Halo-halo
It was like an ordinary halo-halo for me. Nothing special (sorry, Alex III, but you need to step up your halo-halo game) and not yummy enough to be memorable.
Chicharon balat ng manok. Seeing that alone brought happiness down my spine. Tasting it brought me to cloud nine! It was sinfully delicious and should be tried. For my main dish I tried their US baby Back Ribs and I was not disappointed. It was delicious and soft and yummy and perfect!
Alex III has been in San Juan area for as long as anyone could imagine. Their most popular food item will always be the chicken bbq served with java rice, kids and adults both loved this dish that is accompanied with the sweetness of the java sauce and tanginess of the atchara. Aside from the usual Filipino fare that everyone is familiar with such as the pork bbq, kare kare, pinakbet, the restaurant also offers continental style foods such as lengua champignon sauce, steaks, japanese bento boxes, makis, sushis and sashimis. Their sotanghon soup is a must try as well as their ever famous flying saucer sandwhich. Flying saucer because it is a round like patty that has shredded pork adobo for filling. Pricing is quite affordable and opens till pretty late.
I love Alex III. Although I like it for the simple reason that they serve that really good premium barbecue dish with Java rice, it is enough for me to want to come back and dine here. It is close to where I live around the San Juan area and I believe that they renovated their restaurant already. The new look is more inviting and modern and spacious. Lots of parking spaces also now made more available for diners which was a problem for us before but not anymore. Price wise, the place is spot on especially for  the food that they serve.
Never leave the place without ordering their boneless chicken bbq. This is one of the best chicken bbq that I've tasted. I rate this 4.5
Other than their chicken bbq, you must try their bicol laing and their adobong pusit. Their baby back ribs is to die for as well.
The place is nice for get together or meetings because it is cozy and quiet. The servers are really nice. Although the price is on the high side but the taste is worth it.
I like this Alex III better than the one over at Robinsons Galleria. For one thing the place is bigger and better looking than the other. Also the servers here are much more friendlier and attentive to the needs of their customers. The food, well it is the same good quality food that i love no matter which branch it is. Always a fan of their Barbecue dishes!
Alex III is best known for their delicious barbecues. Their pork barbecue is particularly awesome. Very "siksik" and almost has no fat! Definitely one that I like! This place is a good restaurant to go to for the family since it is very elegant inside but still cozy. Although traffic and parking might be an issue especially during weekends.
This modern and new look of Alex III suites the place very well. It is more inviting now and more elegantly modern. The place still serves a lot of good dishes of which the most noteable one's are the Pork and Chicken Barbeque with java rice of course.
Pork Barbeque and Java Rice is what i always order when i am at Alex III. Their food is so good and delicious that it is also so hard to choose which ones to order. The servers at this branch too are really nice and friendly. Like that they now have more parking spaces available too.
Nice job on the renovations making the place more stylish and modern. The food is still the same which is utterly delicious and brings back memories of when we used to dine here as kids. Still love their barbeque and java rice!
The original Alex III I believe. It’s a place that offers great barbecue that rivals that of Aristocrats. The barbecue is succulent, tasty, sweet and soft that there just doesn't seem to be enough java rice for it.
This place holds a lot of fond memories as we used to go here for take out before. The new look though is now more modern and more inviting and they even have more parking spaces nearby. The Filipino dishes here are really good and have not changed at all since my last visit. My all time favorite would be their Premium Pork Barbeque dish that they serve with delicious Java Rice and Atchara.
Ever since i was a kid, i remember eating here almost every Sunday and since then, i always ordered the same dish. That dish is and will forever be my favorite!!
