Always our go-to for a chill drinking night with friends. They have a really homey-neighborhood-drinking-place vibe perfect for a quick nightcap. Music doesn’t get that loud and is just at a right volume, so you can still chat with your friends while drinking. Their beef salpicao is a must-try—juicy, tender, and flavorful. It is the best, I swear!
Loved the how i met your mother vibes of this gastropub. Cocktails were good, plus points that i get to use my zomato gold for 2+2 drinks. Food is fairly priced with huge servings. Would definitely come back with friends.
I do like the ribs it’s just that it’s a bit dry on the inside and not that juicy.

I like the music here (think 90s and 2000s) as they're my generation LOL. The drinks were rather watered down (my long Island iced tea tasted like coke?!?), but oh well, for PHP 180, I get 2 cocktails with my Zomato Gold so I guess I can't complain too much :D

For sure, the detail put into this themed bar was astounding, especially for watchers of the series it was based on. Plus, the food, most especially the pasta and the baby back ribs, goes well with a few mugs of beer, perfect for celebrating friendships throughout the years, as the show from which the bar is inspired, suggests.
Great place to chill with friends. The restaurant has a relaxed feel. Food were surprisingly good too. We enjoyed the chicken poppers and mozzarella sticks.
I used to go here when i was younger because the drinks were cheap and the place was big enough to fit groups of friends. I especially liked the ode to HIMYM thru their decors and receipt name! Lol. Servers are nice enough and overall a great place to drink with friends.
If you're looking for a place to hangout and "chillnuman" with friends, you'll love McLaren's. Drinks are reasonabky prices -- and their mozzarella sticks are a must-try!

This has been a check on my bucket list! I am a big HIMYM fan and being here has been one of the best moments of my life! I went out with my work friends and we had a couple of food from their menu. The price was expensive but the awesome vibes the place gave was super worth it. I'll definitely be back soon. :)
I had a really bad experience here previously, but I visited again and it was pretty good. Good price and nice ambiance, music is ok too. Order chicken poppers and nothing else. The fish and chips was forgotten, tasted like nothing and fries were cold.
HIMYM fans will love this place. They have huge comfortable sofa which is good for big groups. Try their imported beers! Ask for their sub zero Bavaria beer. Thank me later. 😉 I gave 4 stars because my friends and I went here on a Monday night and we're kinda disappointed with how slow we were attended to. Maybe because it was a Monday night? We will try again on a weekend. Probably they'll have more staff by then. 😊

Great ambiance and comfy sofa lounges that an accommodate 6-10 people per booth. You gotta reserve but worth it if you’re looking to chill. Since it’s a pub, I guess the design is a little dark so I think some of the things on the wall must be a little attention seeking. The bottles of alcohol could be okay too but a little tweaking of the place, would make it a little more alive. I tried their Beef Salpicao before and it was a little tough but I think their Lamb Shoulder Poutine was okay. A little pricey on beverages but thanks to Zomato 2+2 we are able to avail our drinks at cheaper.
Food was a bit pricey, but it's okay. You really just go here for the experience. The lighting isn't good for pictures too if that's what you're there for. Takes quite long before serving the food as well. It was an okay experience.
The HIMYM fans will know this place quite well. The garlic parmesan and Jack Daniels wings are great with beer and friends, just like the cast from the series.
I've been wanting to visit this place for so long and finally the day came. My friends and I suddenly decided to hang out on a Friday night after our work and we ended up picking a place near my office. I suggested this place with them since most of them are a fan of HIMYM series. A pretty good place to hang with your friends or family as well. Hoping some customers can minimize their noise and be considerate with other people.
Despite being known more of as a drinking place, my sister who’s a picky-eater would always tell me how much she loves their bacon (PSA: yes, they serve all-day breakfast!) and that her friends love the food there.
Truth be told, food did not disappoint at all! We got Chicken Wings in Garlic Parmesan, All-day Breakfast Bacon, Chicken kebab, and Grilled Rib eye steak. Servings are huge and flavors are on point! Bold but not too strong.👌🏼
Upon entering, a clicker was placed on our table to easily call the server which, I must say, made it more convenient to make a request. Parking was easy and free! As always, I’ve admired how this pub has remained its identity through the years, from interiors to TV’s to displays. Must-try!

One of the most laidback bar that I have been to. Inspired by the TV series How I Met Your Mother, this pub has a very chillax vibe. The booths are spacious and can accommodate atleast 6-8 people. If you want to have the place all to yourself just go there during Sundays and the place will be yours! I love how this place still has their smoking area so that’s a huge plus points for me.
Aside from the ambiance, you can never go wrong with their servers, all their waiters are just so accommodating even if we were just the ones there. They do not look disinterested nor bored to cater to our whims. So thaaaaank you for that kuya!
As for the food, I love their generous servings of chicken poppers. Their price is a bit on the expensive side but it’s worth every penny. They have this flaming poppers where the sauce has a bacardi in it. They serve it to you literally flaming just like how they serve you your bacardi shot. I love the bacardi shot, not a fan of it in my food tho. It just tastes funny. But my friends enjoyed it so i guess all is good. I think their must try is their cheesesteak quesadilla. I just love how cheesy it is. Overall food experience is perfect.
They have a wide variety of alcohol to choose from, prices are so-so. But what I like about this place is that they have macho mug bigger than that of 4xForce and Rue Bourbon, so yeeeey for that.
All in all the experience is great and im surely going back here!

The place is good for groups. HIMYM fans will definitely have a great time. The booths are bigger than those from HIMYM, which sits 5-6persons. The booths here are good for 10-12persons. Was only able to try their nachos-- serving was for sharing, taste was so-so, as we just came from dinner and wanted a quick drink. Will definitely go back with a bigger group next time!:)
HIMYM Fans! Do not miss a chance to visit this joint. The place will definitely make you nostalgic and give you the feels of the show. Best part is, they also serve good food (and drinks of course!). I was mostly impressed with their ribs, really tender and flavorful. It's a bit pricey, but nonetheless worth it. Service is good too. Tips - wait till they dim the lights at night which makes the atmosphere even better, and make a reservation (take the couch seats at the sides!). #LEGENDARY

I'm not really into alcohol beverages so it's very rare of me to be in a bar. But for some reason my friends persuaded me to come. McLaren's in my surprise is exceptional, i love the interior! It has a touch of a western style pub, like the one you saw in american film.
For our food. We ordered the Fully Loaded Nachos, which i find it delicious but nothing special. Breakfast platter, you can make your own combo best for "pulutan" and we chose (2) sausages (1) spam (this is not per piece but per set of meat, so budget friendly!!), next is we replaced hashbrowns into fries with scrabbled eggs, this combo in just for (550). Lastly, we tried the Charcoal Pork Belly with Beer Sauce, the pork is so tender and the veggies is not over cooked.
For our drinks. Well, they all ordered the draft beer mucho mug (200) and mine was just the regular (70).
I really had a great time and will surely come back. 👌👍
McLaren's is our home when it comes to chill nights. We usually order the threesome cocktails for it is a nice bargain 500 pesos for 3 cocktails! You must try their cherry bomb!! It is really the bomb! 😬 and for food we usually order the chicken poppers! Tastes so good! It never failed to disappoint us! Also tried some of their dishes and its all yummy!!
And for the service it was exceptional! They are all very friendly! This pub deserves a 5.0 rating!

My bestfriend and I are big fans of How I Met Your Mother. That's why when we already have the time to catch up we went to McLaren's Pub. The ambiance of the place were really like from the TV series. We really loved the vibes. Their Jack Daniel's burger is a bomb!! Also, I forgot my charger in their area and they we're really responsive with my text and call that they'll wait for me to claim it. Thanks to the staff I was able to save almost 2k for buying a new charger! Keep it up! Will definitely go back here, whenever I want to remember HIMYM! This place is LEGEN-wait for it-DARY 😀😀
Place was great. Main meals not too much. But the appetizers were good especially the chicken poppers. Best for group drinking because one booth can accomodate a lot.

Maclaren's Pub was highly recommended by my best friend so I decided to have my bday celebration here last Jan. Place was nice especially if you get the chance to seat on the couches which in my opinion are the best seats in the house. The food were quite affordable at around 250 per order though the menu for me still can use some additional items such as other apps that would pair well with the alcohol. all in all, Maclarens is a good place to hang out if you can afford it

I love the "How I Met Your Mother" theme since I am an avid fan and just recently started watching the show again.
Food and drink is a bit pricey but totally worth it.

I've always dreamed of going to this place because I love the HIMYM series. For a fan like me, going up to the 2nd floor is already an experience. Once you enter the bar, it already has this oaky feel because of the deep drown wood interior. The lighting also gives that dramatic friendly scene.
The booth is good for about 6 to 8 people, so don't worry if you're coming here with a lot of friends with you. The food is generally good (and surprising btw) Why? We ordered this Flaming BBQ Chicken Poppers and when it was served, we were about to fork down our hunger already when the waiter said wait. We stopped and he suddenly lit the food and we were like WHOAAAAAA. Hahaha it was an amazing experience, honestly.
What made the McLaren's experience perfect is when we ordered our drinks already. Don't miss out on the Cherry Bomb! Good for group of friends. If you want some easy hit but cheap in price, this is a must.
This is just the perfect place to hang. Its chill but its fun. The prices are reasonable and food is great. The drinks though are better. Dont miss out on the cherry bomb.

If you love How I Met Your Mother then grab a booth at Mclaren's Pub and re-live some of the HIMYM gang's adventures. The moment you walk up the stairs (it's on the 2nd floor), nostalgia kicks in and memories of this amazing show start to kick in.
The pub was filled with huge comfortable booths similar to how it was in the show that can fit around 6-7 people - the perfect size for a tight-knit gang.
The imported drinks were pretty affordable while the local beers were quite expensive. I think that is by design, so that you will be geared towards ordering a bottle of Hoegarden rather than a bottle of san miguel. A shot of whisky was also quite affordable.
The food itself is good and I particularly loved their bangers and mash (Php350), which was pretty affordable seeing the two huge sausages served. The sausage was juicy and full of flavor! The mashed potatoes were pretty good, but wasn't anything special.
I was also able to try the chicken wings (Php220), which were pretty decent. The Truffle Madness Angus Beef Burger (Php 395) was ok, but I thought the truffle sauce was a bit overpowering that I didn't get the juicy beefy flavors coming from the angus beef - a bit of a pity. My thoughts are that maybe it could have been a bit more balanced.
Service while we were there was pretty horrible. I had to follow-up on my order of beer three times and the place wasn't even 1/4 full. They need to step it up.
In conclusion, food was pretty tasty and perfect when paired with their affordable drinks. Ambiance brings back memories of the much-loved HIMYM, with very comfortable booths that's perfect for casual conversations. Service was bad when I was there and I hope it gets better.

Can't believe I almost forgot to give this place a review. This is my go-to place in San Juan for grilled meat and drinks. Inspired by the How I Met Your Mother sitcom, this pub is one of the best places to hang out in the Greenhills area. Aside from their affordable menu items, the servers are very accommodating as well. I recommend getting any of their meat dishes with Jack Daniels sauce, wash that down with a big glass of beer and enjoy the chill atmosphere.
We went here last October 6 to celebrate my birthday since I'm a huge HIMYM fan. I love how classy the place is but I really expected it to be like HIMYM's Maclaren's. However, the food is superb! We tried their Mozzarella sticks and Flaming Hot BBQ Wings. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever tasted so far. And the wings are literally on flames. One thing though, I was taken aback by the alcohol on the wings. I wasn't expecting it so I hated it at first. Good thing the alcohol taste was just on the outer part of the wings. Inside, it was perfect. Overall, although it was pricey, I loved my MacLaren's experience. The place wasn't really fit for our personality, but it's nice to feel just a little bit classy sometimes haha
The three of us who went here all loved HIMYM so we had high expectations for the place. Good thing it was met. It had the right amount of 'chill feels'. If only this was closer to where i lived i think i would be here most of the time. They served typical bar chows and a few other dishes for people wanting to fill their stomachs. Prices were reasonable for their serving sizes. Downside tho was serving time, we were the 1st ones to come in yet it took a long time before our orders arrived.

If you're a fan of HIMYM, I'm sure you know about MacLaren's Pub. Its reference to the tv series is truly seen in their interiors and the whole feel of the place. I've tried their Baby Back Ribs (P450) served with corn on the cob and fries. It was good, not the over-the-top good but still good. They serve imported and local beers. But being not that into beers, I had their cocktails (P500 for 3 promo) instead. Their prices were reasonable, service was great, and the place was legendary. Whether you're a HIMYM fan or not, it's the perfect place to chill!

Downright my favorite place for a quiet night cap. This place has got it all: great food, really beautiful interiors, big servings good for sharing and affordable price. I was told by my friend that the inspiration for the restaurant was the cafe from How I met your mother, in fact, you will see some photos of the cast on some of the photos on the wall. Must Try are the following:
1. Bangers and Sausage
2. Shrimp Popcorn
3. Mozzarella Sticks
They have an indoor and outdoor table setup so if you're not a smoker, you'd love this place! The place is located along Wilson street on top of EastWest Bank. They have 3 parking slots and the rest would have to find a parking along the street which can be hard because that area is flooded with restaurants. I think that's my only problem with this place really - ample parking.
chicken poppers was surprisingly good! they aren't really popcorn fillet but real chicken bits. very good. ate some at the resto and took another order home for the wife.
12/20/15: We came here for some drinks after some dinner nearby. I noticed immediately that the main dining area is cleaner... but I am sure that no renovation has been made. then I realized that it's because of the lack of smoke! They have now disallowed smoking in the main dining area. The main dining area is ultra comfy to hang around in because all of the tables are couch tables.

Regardless if you're a HIMYM fan or not, you'll have a good time at McLaren's. The place has that genuine sports bar/ pub feel that you'll seldomly find elsewhere. Though food's a little meh, the cold beer and the place itself are enough to keep the gang coming.

McLaren’s! You’ll still love this place even if you’re not a HIMYM fan. My friend learned about this somewhere and we really looked for this place as we were all fans of the show. We went here on a weeknight so there were only few customers that time and we easily found a parking space in front. We just had our dinner on Eat Fresh so we came here just to drink and see the place. The staff were accommodating and attentive. The interiors of the place were really nice and we felt like we were the famous TV series friends as we were seated on our booth. I was just in awe, looking here and there. It was a bit cold (the AC’s working properly), there were flat screens, smoking area outside, clean and up-with-the-theme-washrooms, and good music on the background which was just loud enough for you to hear it. Cozy but chill.
We ordered cocktails, 1 liter mug beers, nachos and chicken tenders with cornflakes coating. The wait staff attended to all our requests and our orders were quickly done without sacrificing the quality.
Everything was great here. It’s worth every penny. The food was good, ambiance and service were commendable, and the experience was memorable. It really gave the HIMYM feels. I highly recommend that you go this place if you just want to relax with your friends.

Yes this is HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER scene coming to life. A hole in the wall pub in Wilson with an Al Fresco setting where you can get drunk and cry your heart out. Food-wise, I find their ribs and meat sweetly marinated. But beer-wise, it's a place to drink and well, let go!

Had it not for a friend who pointed to me this place I would have never find out about it. They are located on the second floor building of East Bank beside Office Warehouse along wilson's street. Quite hard to find and not very visible to those with cars unless you have really known about the place before.

I think the price is reasonable and well within the budget, not overly priced and the food and drinks are good.

The how I met you mother feels is legit!
To start, I really loved their couches. It just makes you wanna bond with your froends and have a good time.
The prices for the food were fair enough because of the big serving and awesome taste. I ordered a chicken kebab, man it was awesome.
There is also a smoking area outside overviewing the road which is super handy for smokers.
The whole pub is kinda vintage with its unique design and music.
The staff were alert and friendly which brings the dining experience to a full satisfaction.
I am sure to be back, just wait for me! :)
Went to this place just to feel that HIMYM fever. Their food is right for the price. The draft beer is awesome even if I didnt consumed mine. Hahahaha. But the place is cozy, the ambiance is cool and refreshing. Its the perfect place to chill with your friends or even relatives. Oh and they also have lots of liquors to choose from!

Ambience is good, food is okay and their Liter mug is perfect! I had to ask one of their staff to add watermelon flavor on my beer and it was waaaay perfect! But on my recent visit, they said they don't have the watermelon syrup anymore so I have to order my other favorite, Cerveza! If you wanted to just chill, this place would be great for groups.
