I noticed that the common interior design of Fat Fook is having the plates/bowl in their walls.
And for the food, we ordered their Satay Stir Fries Beef Noodles, 2pcs Chicken Chop and Chicken Skin.
We waited for like 20 minutes for our foods to be served. They served the Chicken Chop and Beef Noodles first. The noodles is good for 2-3 persons. The chicken chop they served us is big. And I thought they served our 2 pcs of Chicken Chop in a single tray. But to our surprise, they served another chicken chop. Their chicken chop is also good for sharing. The chicken skin is nothing new though. Their milktea has also a generous serving. Next time I dine here, might want to try their milktea.
This is a great place to eat...when you're not in a hurry. The food is great, can't complain about that. Would've wanted faster service and a more attentive staff (they missed an order so we cancelled that item). The beef tendon is soft and juicy, the dumplings and xialongbao are superb, and the veggie fried rice is loaded with umami. Everything went well together. Wait time: about 6 long songs
i wish you shudda seen their tub of a milk tea. i got the strawberry one w/ pearls and i like there’s that lingering taste of tea that balances w/ the strawb flave. the boba’s texture was what i like, chewy and chewy! hehe
told my dad that the spicy wanton was delish and he agreed and of course the xlb is always a winner here, specially if it’s served right hot, yum!!
firat time to taste the spicy beef noodle set. was a lil disappointed coz the beef wasnt as fork soft as i imagined it to be when i had one in taiwan. had to muscle it up a lil bit and i thought it packed a punch but it was just mildly spicy.
3points for the taste, additional point for the staff😁
This is 1 of the restos that you are leaving with a smile, then gonna forget it.
Issue is different dishes taste alike- was not able to capture pics of the other dishes.
I originally chose the Kiampong, but the waitress said that it serves around 2-4 people, so I opted for the Claypot Rice instead. It was my first time at Fat Fook Kitchen so I wasn't familiar with the menu yet.
When the dish arrived, the waiter brought a pitcher of sauce with him. He then poured some into the pot and finally served it to me. When I looked at my order, I almost laughed aloud at its serving size. It's so big! I can't imagine what the Kiampong looks like.😁
The dish features chicken chunks, sausage slices, portobello mushroom (I hope I got it right) and bok choy. I had to move all those ingredients aside so I can see the rice.
When I tasted it, I thought it's a meld of different flavors. It's sooo good! All the ingredients are perfectly cooked with just the right balance of taste and richness.
I enjoyed my meal so much, I didn't even notice that the walls of the restaurant are full of porcelain plates, saucers and bowls! I only saw them when I was done eating.
Thanks Fat Fook Kitchen for a wonderful meal!
It's always been a joy to be in this branch. Aside from the nice interiors, the food and service have been consistently superb. My favorites are the gindara tofu, Taiwan-style fried rice, Three Cups Chicken, Black Pepper Beef, and Roasted Hazelnut Milk Tea.
The Salted Egg Xiao Long Bao was one of the best I've tasted so far!
The Taiwan Beef Noodle was too salty for me though.
I would still come back for another round of Xiao Long Bao and cheese sausage. 👌
The name is what got our attention to this restaurant. The kid in me just had to.
We ordered:
Salt and Pepper Chicken Cubes - A good appetizer. Lots of pepper and salt on those cubes.
Fried Stinky Tofu - I was recommended this by a Taiwanese friend. We are no longer friends. All jokes aside, my pallet did not enjoy this at all.
Satay Stir Fried Beef Noodles - Generous serving and good taste. Would have wanted more beef in there.
Shrimp & Pork Wonton Noodles - The whole dish tasted fresh. Broth, noodles and dumplings all were very good. I recommend that they serve calamansi as one of their condiments.
What I liked:Lately it seems like i'm in the crusade for finding the best xiaolongbao in the Metro so we tried Fat Fook. Surprisingly there are a lot more to this place than their really good soup dumpling.
What we had:
Crispy chicken skin - really good and with a generous serving, the powder is making my boyfriend sneeze but he wouldn't mind because it's really good
Stir fried eggplant -very flavorful, again big serving, there is a similar version of this dish offered in an Indonesian resto that I also love but this one is less spicy
Taiwan style fried rice - came off a bit too strong to me, probably also because we were not able to have a rather balanced selection in our orders, we were just too excited to try everything
Garlic spare ribs - probably the weakest dish in the table, I just found it less exciting than the other dishes they offer, wondering if the pork chop would have been a better choice
Their milk teas are also good and for a relatively cheaper price. :)
Will be back again for sure!
Haven’t tasted their food yet, but their matcha milk tea is one of the best I’ve had. If you like your matcha strong with a pronounced tea flavor, then this is for you. I get mine at 50% sweetness and it’s perfect. The pearls are always consistently chewy and cooked well, not too syrupy.
I Ordered classic milk tea at 25% sugar. YUMMM, plus taiwanese beef noodles. The noodles is firm, mix of the saltiness and beef broth and the veggies makes the beef noodle special. Yum yum too! Fast service and courteous staff. 👍👍👍
Their crunchy Taiwanese sausage and very flavorful kiampong are my favorites, they're in my must order list everytime we dine there. Though I wish the hebei in kiampong will be cleaned thoroughly. The oyster misua was good too, oysters were big and juicy and misua soup just the right amount of saltiness. But where they succeed in oyster misua, sausages and kiampong, they failed miserably in oyster omelet and giant tang bao. The tang bao was soupy, but meat taste stale, instead of firm, it was too soggy and have a weird aftertaste. Where the oysters in misua were big and fresh, those in omelet were small and tiny pcs of shell still stuck on them, and it was three fourth potato starch and one fourth egg and oyster. If I'm going to rate this particular dish only, I'm going to give it 1 star. But overall, I still love to eat in Fat Fook, their tasty food still outweigh their bad ones.
I was craving for a yummy Xiao long bao and that was the reason why my family decided to eat at Fat Fook Kitchen. I really like the way they designed their restaurant....simple yet stylish...servers were all attentive and polite too. For the food, we ordered pork Xiao long bao, claypot rice, chicken chop rice set and beef noodles. We all looove their beef noodles. It was very rich in flavor and the noodles was cooked so as to be still firm when bitten👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Claypot rice was just so so. Chicken chop was tender and juicy and of cource their Xiao long bao, very juicy steamed pork buns and I like it❤️
*The salted egg shrimp and spicy beef set are masarap and good for sharing
*The place is big and well-lit and the ambiance is pleasant
*The staff are polite and very accommodating
So far the best food from the countries I have visited goes to Taiwan. It was probably the best trip I’ve done if we will solely consider the food that I ate there. I mean I wasn’t able to eat like everything but I completely revelled in everything that I got to taste. I mean, the other countries I’ve been to have great cuisines but for some reason, when asked which country I’ve visited has the best food, Taiwan is the first thing that comes to mind.
We love Fat Fook for their Stinky Tofu and Xiao Long Baos. As long as we can book it via Eatigo at 50% off! Their food is pricey IMHO.
For this lunch we had:
Stinky Tofu - as I always say, dont judge! It's good!
Fried Intestines - BF likes this, but I dont.
Pork Xiao Long Bao - their version is better than Tien Ma (havent been to Shi Lin or DTF yet)
Taiwanese Fried Rice - good for sharing, very filling
Beef Tendon - they say it's one of their bestsellers, but we didnt like it.
I like Fat Fook for its Taiwanese menu that showcases some street food dishes from stinky tofu, beef noodles and intestines. Aside from that, they do have some not too adventurous dishes from chicken chop to xiao long bao.
What we tried....
Fat Fook Chicken Chop - my 8-year old nephew's favorite. Pretty good and simple.
Tofu with century egg & pork floss - this was so-so. Might have been better if the sauce was not too overpowering with the delicate silken tofu.
Fried Squid - this was good but a bit chewy.
Satay Stir Fried Beef Noodles - really good with the right amount of spiciness.
Kiampong - I like the home-made version that I'm used to. Their kiampong is drier and less stickier.
This is definitely a must-try Taiwanese resto!! Ang sarap ng food nila for such a reasonable price! My office mates really liked their eggplant with minced pork. 👍 I'll certainly go back. Haha! Super like. Ambiance is nice too.
We were supposed to go to Makati but it was already rush hour, raining and traffic flow was really bad. We opt to just have dinner in Robinsons Galleria. Since we didn't know what we wanted, we strolled first and thought of eating here. I have been here for a couple of times and I liked how it simply satisfied my taste buds. We wanted more but this was more than what we could take. We will be back and try their other dishes.
It’s my second time to taste their foods. I actually love their milk tea and their noodles. For those who wanted to try something new, you can try this restaurant. Amazing ambience and good customer service. Kudos to everyone.
We were craving for Chinese cuisine and Fat Fook definitely hit the teeny tiny happy spot of our tummies 🤤 (drool). We ordered pork & shrimp wonton noodles, one with minced pork sauce and lastly but definitely not the least "XIAO LONG BAO"!!! 👌🏻 (No photos for xiao long bao as we got too excited eating it!)
Everything was so mild that will make you want for more. Food served are absolutely worth the price 😎. We'll surely rate it 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food is great and servrs are polite and welcoming. I will definitely eat here again! Ordered salt and pepper chicken and squid, xiao long bao, fried rice, beef noodles and hazelnut milktea.
Food was great! Took the challenge of eating stinky tofu (in preparation to our Taiwan trip) and boy, it was stinky indeed! But the taste was not the bad! They actually give you a precaution about it when you order it. Loved the bubble tea’s sweetness because I am a sucker for sweet things. Enjoyed the xiao long bao very much!
I love Fat Fook! It’s my first time to eat here and I’ll definitely go back. The service is amazing and I love how fast they serve the food. It’s pretty cheap since we avail the Eatigo promo.
We had lunch at Fatfook around 11:30am and seats were almost full already. We had the chance to seat at the couch. The lighting was just enough not so dim. We ordered the chicken and noodle set and to my surprise has ample servings actually it was good for two. My husband ordered the noodle satay and eggplant with minced pork and were also good for sharing. I had matcha tea and was huge. However the added pearls has additional charge hope they would have it at the same price with pearls already! The servers and supervisors were prompt and were able to assist us well, considering that we have a child who has a lot of requests hehe. She requested for a soup spoon and the server suggested to give her a kiddie soup bowl and a soup spoon. My daughter was happy eating with the kiddie utensils they have thanks for this:) Doing the extra mile really makes one a happy customer!:) We will be back to try other dishes too:)
Got a table without waiting on a Sunday lunch. Food is good, try the Taiwanese Fried rice it's good. The service can still be improved, attention to the diners needs.
It was a Payday Friday, and most of the restos in the mall is full, even the food court is filled to the brim...
This one caught our attention... they have a nice display outside and the dining area is not that crowded.
We had Taiwan Beef Noodles, Spicy Beef Set - that interestingly came with instructions, Pan Fried Pork Buns, and of course, Xia Long Bao..
Plus milk tea!
Food is tasty and affordable, value for money as a the serving is just right.
Interior is well designed, temp is good.
This one is a gem, maybe not hyped as Din Tai Fung, but we'd choose this one because of the taste of food.
I got hungry cause I haven’t had lunch that day so I wanted rice for merienda. I ordered Veggie Dumplings 6 pieces for Php 148. Love it! Sulit for the price then a cup of white rice Php 48. It certainly satisfied my hunger.
I also liked that the place wasn’t as packed and not to crowded. I went there off-peak.
Credit card was offline though.
The search for the best Xiao Long Bao continues here at Fat Fook! The place is very cozy, perfect place for foodies to share good food and good time. In terms of price, relatively affordable especially for their XLB, dimsum wrapper is strong enough to hold the broth inside. Staff was very friendly and attentive. will definitely be back and try their other branches to check for consistency.
Taiwanese Feast with your Family
When we entered this branch of Fat Fook here in Robinson's Galleria, I realized that mostly families are eating inside. The place is quite big, each table is set for a group of 6 or bigger. Of course, there are also seats for smaller groups but it's nice when a place can accommodate larger groups. Fat fook is making its name here so I can see that it's drawing in more and more customers as the weeks go by.
Of course, we ordered their Xiao Long Baos (Php 138.00 for 5pcs.): I never get tired of its taste because despite how light it tastes, it's very addicting. You don't need the sauce to love it but it's there because it's so much better when you dip them on it.
Shrimp & Pork Wonton Noodles (Php 228.00): this one also has a very light taste so if you're not into that, you should ask for some sauce or condiments. I liked it because a lot of what we ordered had strong tastes so this just balances them out.
Fat Fook Chicken Chop (Php 238.00): I tasted their Salt & Pepper Chicken before and I really prefer this one because the seasonings aren't overwhelming. Plus, the chicken was tender even if the strips were a bit thin.
Sweet and Sour Pork (Php 258.00): I love sweet and sour. Whenever we eat out, we almost always order this dish. I think what's different with this compared to others out there is that even just a little bit of sauce is already very flavorful so it's perfect even with their Taiwanese Style Fried Rice.
I really hope more people would appreciate Taiwanese food because their cuisines are really remarkable and a bit underrated when you think about the most famous Asian cuisines out there. Well, all cuisines are delicious in their own way but it's always nice to expand your taste palate.
I don't usually go for Taiwanese food but I'm game if it's for sharing. My officemates and I went for Fat Fook as they had group meal options. I really like their eggplant with mince pork (sans the pork as I'm trying to avoid it) and their chicken chops. We found their pancit to be a bit dry. Their fried rice is good, but it's bitin especially since the set meal's supposed to be good for 5-6. I also tried their sea urchin balls (to go) before, and it's really good and not bad for the price!
Had a comforting dinner here with traditional Taiwanese comfort food combo of Taiwan Beef Noodles paired with String Beans with Minced Pork. Both dishes tasted great. The noodles were soft in a tasty broth with succulent beef chunks. The string beans were crisp and green with spicy and tasty minced pork
The pot of hot tea hopefully helped to digest some of the fat!
For a home grown concept, I was very surprised to be able to experience authenticity as I tried both spicy beef noodles set and 3 cups chicken! Was so amazed how very interactive our server was as well! Got really surprised when I saw the price! It was so affordable! Keep it up! I will defenitely come back! 😍
This is not my first time at Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen. But this is my first time in Robinson’s Galleria branch.
Team Kaladkarin Midz Sy extended her invite to us. And we tried some of the bestsellers of Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen. Like the Taiwanese Sausage, Salt and Pepper Chicken Cubes, Stinky Tofu, Pork Xiao Long Bao and many more.
All the dishes we had were good except the Stinky Tofu. The smell of stinky tofu was too strong. I tried eating the dish pero di ko kinaya, it feels like I am eating a fart. 💨😝
My favourite was the Taiwanese Sausage. I can finish at least 2-3 pieces of Taiwanese Sausage. It’s a good pairing with Stir Fried Noodles and Milk Tea.
Overall, the management of Fat Fook was generous enough for serving us an awesome lunch and provided excellent service during our visit.
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
First time trying this place with fam so we ordered a lot! Also, because you get free noodles in your birthday month just present ID with a minimum purchase of P1500! (Hack) We chose the satay beef noodles which is really good. The portions are huge, as you can see from the pictures. Most of the dishes we tried, except for a few ordinary ones, are good so rating it a 4. (3.5 to be precise) ~Actually in Megamall, but can't review yet 'cause zomato isn't updated so I'll put my review here instead.
For starter, I really enjoyed the tofu with century egg and floss. The tofu is really soft and smooth which I like. The salted egg xiao long bao is one unique item that we had to try! Unfortunately, it tasted like just an oiled up, buttery version of the xiao long bao. No salted egg there definitely, or the taste was really really subtle. I liked the stinky tofu ~ very crunchy and stinky, just the way we like it. But the real star here was the fried intestine! Oh my gosh~ I love this so much, like the ones you buy in the street! It comes with vinegar and salt. So bad but so so good!
For mains, ordered the chicken chop and porkchop set because these were the bestsellers. (Hack: it's actually cheaper to order the set rather than the ala carte, and we asked the waitress and the portion of the chop in the set and in the short order is the same, weird huh?) So it came with these plain noodle soup that is bland af, but maybe that's because the chops are flavorful enough. Let me start wirh the chicken, tbh I didn't like it. It was thin and tough and really dry. The porkchop on the other hand was juicy, but not really "wow."
For the rice, we tried both the kiampung and the taiwanese fried rice. Kiampung is definitely better, with the fried onions and mushrooms. The taiwanese fried rice tastes normal.
For desserts, we tried the taho cups and tikoy sticks. We didn't like the taho that much because it was really thick. The consistency is really thick and grainy. We'd rather have taho that is smooth and melts in your mouth. I really like the tikoy sticks, it's sweet and chewy, drizzled with condensed milk. The crunchy lumpia wrapper complements the chewy tikoy. What I would change? It's too chewy. Same problem with the taho, I would appreciate my tikoy chewy but has a buttery consistency that melts. This one is really hard on the teeth. Overall, will probably come back for their other dishes. Definitely a must try Taiwanese restaurant though.
Not in photo because of zomato's max 10 pics: string beans with ground pork
First time trying FatFook, and I choose FatFook Galleria branch
Though I had got a small strand of hair on my first xiao long bao serving (not a big issue naman, they change it right away!), I still can't deny that I fall in love to the taste of their legit xiao long bao.
I also love the ambiance of the place.

Considered the national snack of Taiwan, stinky tofu is in my bucket list of unusual (read bizarre) food to eat all over the world.
Fortunately , an invite to a Bloggers' Party at Fat Fook last April 24 made it possible for me to experience this foul-smelling food sans a boarding pass and a plane ticket.
Last Tuesday, I was invited at Fat Fook’s dry run in SM Megamall. I’m wearing my foodie hat and enjoyed the feast.
Fat Fook serves mouthwatering Taiwanese dishes, so if you’re just like me who never been in Taiwan, others say this has legit Taste of Taiwan dishes.
We had handful of yummy dishes:
☑️Tofu with Century Egg & Pork Floss (P198)- this is ok, its light and the slight sweet sauce gives the flavor.
☑️Taiwan Style Fried Rice (P258)- Generous serving, good for 3-4pax. Tastes good, with sausage cubes!
☑️Salt & Pepper Chicken Cube (P248)- for me nothing spectacular with this. Its ok, but I thinks its bland. Needs a bit of spice and pepper.
☑️Pork Xiao Longf Bao ( 5pcs for P138)- reasonably priced. Soup in it is so tasty!
☑️Salted Egg Xiao Long Bao- Lacking of Salted egg taste. its taste is almost the same as its pork xiao long bao.
☑️Noodles with Minced Pork Sauce (P158)- Big serving, but too bland.
☑️Steamed King Fish (P418)- might be a bit pricey. But this dish is ideally for sharing. Big Steamed Lapu Lapu in a sweet & sour sauce! Perfect with rice
☑️Hot Prawn Salad (P298)- I ordered this one! And there’s lot of shrimp with fruit salad. I highly recommend this one.
☑️Salted Egg Shrimp (P398)- i love this one. But one thing, this is cooked with shrimp’s shell on it. Per their manager, its they way their chef cooked it, as the shell is
☑️Taiwanese Sausage (P288) never thought that it tastes good, and thinly sliced garlic is perfect with it.
☑️Cua pao- pata tim + siopao bread. So good!
Verdict: i enjoyed everything that’s on our table. For me, Salted Shrimp, hot Parawn salad, and cua pao Stands out😊

Ever since I first tried Fat Fook at SM North Edsa, I've been a fan. Whenever I find myself at Quezon City, Fat Fook always comes up as a dining option. I always hoped that Fat Fook would expand to somewhere in the Ortigas or BGC area, making it more accessible to me. And as luck would have it, Fat Fook opened a branch at Robinsons Galleria, just a few blocks away from my office, with plans to open another branch at BGC very soon!
A restaurant that gives you good value for money and great tasting Taiwanese food.
We have tried their first branch and liked it, so it was no brainer that we were coming back for the food.
We had their pork XLB again-- which I thought was weirdly better than the first time. We went for the yummy breaded chicken chop that was super flavorful with every bite. Of course, we needed some greens so we also ordered the Taiwan pechay with garlic. Lastly, we both enjoyed the Taiwan style rice-- something that I urge you to order during your visit. Good for 2-3pax and very satisfying... 👍🏻
We appreciated the quick service especially since we were particularly hungry that day!😊
Food is good. We loved the Salted Egg Xiao Long Bao and the Garlic Spare Ribs. The price is a bit steep though, considering the amount of the servings. Just above average, I would say.
Awesome staff! Special shoutout to BJ! Very hyped and knowledgeable. Everyone is courteous. Even at the slightest fault (like accidentaly bumping on the table,) they apologize like 3x. They seem and sound like they're very happy with their jobs, which adds to the great dining experience. Upon bill out, the store manager (I'm sorry, I forgot her name) also went up to our table to personally get our feedback. Kudos y'all!
Hey, Hey, Hey! I’m back with new reviews!! :) This is our third time already and I’m still in love with Fat Fook’s Xiao Long Bao considering the price is cheap and it tastes REALLY GOOD!!!
We ordered the ff:
🍽 Three Cups Chicken
- I didn’t like this very much. The chicken was just like overpriced curry. We should’ve ordered the fried squid :(((( Btw, this order is good for 3. :)
🍽 Fat Fook Chicken Chop
- I love this. It’s big and tastes really good. 2 people can share over this meal.
🍽 Pork Noodle Soup
- A MUST PARTNER with the Fat Fook Chicken Chop heheh. I like eating fried chicken with sabaw on my rice bat ba hahaha.
* THEIR RICE ALSO TASTES GOOD. ❤️
🍽 XIAO LONG BAO
- Definitely ONE OF THE BEST XIAO LONG BAOS I’ve ever tasted. I like Fat Fook’s compared to Din Tai Fung.
🍽 Wintermelon Milk Tea
- I always order my milk tea at 50% sugar and no ice. For a Milk tea addict like me, I can confidently say that Fat Fook’s Wintermelon Tea didn’t fail to satisfy me. It was very delicious and the tapioca pearls were cooked perfectly. ❤️❤️
⚡️ Would I go back to eat here?
- OF COURSE, It’s in Rob galleria and I LOVE THEIR XIAO LONG BAO (Ang redundant na pero ang sarap kasi talaga) and the staff was really nice. The ambiance was chill na it gives the I’ll eat here always vibes. ❤️❤️❤️
I have always wanted to eat in Fat Fook for awhile. When I saw the tarpulins outside Robinson's Galleria of their new branch, I was so excited and happy that there was one very close by. I finally was going to try it out.
Taiwanese food isn't as popular as other cuisines, but it is very delicious, and in my opinion, underrated. There are already a few dishes that have become very famous over the past few years. One are the fried chops, wether it's chicken (popular fave) or pork. While the other are the very famous Xiao Long Baos, also known as soup dumplings.
I dined here with a friend, well aware that mostly everything on the menu would be for groups and not solo diners. We got the Salted Egg XLBs, Taiwan Style Fried Rice, Fat Fook Chicken Chop, and Cua Pao.
Salted Egg XLBs - the salted egg hype has gone with the XLBs hype, and it is a wonderful marriage. Well, it's a Pork XLB that has some salted egg in it, and it is really quite flavorful. Not black vinegar or ginger required. I found the wrapper to be a little thincker than other restos, but overall, still pretty good.
Taiwan Style Fried Rice - I am a sucker for fried rice! The sweet savory taste of the Taiwanese sausage bits in the fried rice is good. It doesn't really have a strong a flavor as our local longganisa's, so some might find it a bit bland.
Fat Food Chicken Chop - Lightly pepper, salted and battered chicken breast. It was somewhat flavorful.
Maybe it's just me being used to adding certain flavors on the chop with other restos. I did however, find it a little dry. I have always preffered dark meat, juicier and more flavor).
Cua Pao - Pork belly, the best part of a pig, period. It is my pork kryptonite. It was nice, juicy, melt in my mouth soft. I loved the cilantro on top!
Food: 4.0 - Food was yummy, filling and satisfying. It was a little on the bland side, but nothing to major to complain about.
Price: 3.0 - The price is a little on the steep side compared to other places that are cheaper, and even more flavorful. It won't break the bank.
Service: 4.0 - I usually remember waiters that stand out, but I am forgetting the waiter's name who was just so bubbly friendly. I woukd have given a 5, but they did forget the Cua Pao, so we waited longer for that.
Ambience: 5.0 - Modern, Taiwanese Bistro I would say. The plates on one wall itself is a sight to look at. Hey, I do love blue! :)
Overall, there were more hits then there were misses. I would go back and try out the other dishes on the menu. Claypot, I am coming for that next time!!!
These Taiwanese restaurant is definitely good. I love their fried rice and mapo tofu. Although I find their chicken a bit salty. But overall, love the service, food was good, and place was great.

I love how my favorite restaurants are opening branches closer to home. One of my favorites to date is Fat Fook, a Taiwanese restaurant in SM North Edsa. And after more than a year, it finally opened its second branch in Robinsons Galleria. . Hello, Fat Fook. . Located at the newly renovated wing of Robinsons Galleria, Fat Fook retained its glass facade and quirky ceramic plates accents.

When you’re planning where to eat for the family’s Saturdate, and you consider the varied tastes and preferences of your family members, sometimes you just need to put your foot down, dictate where you want to eat and hope it pays off. And sometimes, it does. The fam’s lunch took place at the newly opened Fat Fook at Robinsons Galleria. It’s one of two existing branches in the Metro Manila, with the other one located in SM City North EDSA.
Taiwan is a country that is frequented by many tourists for a lot of reasons. And while the scenery found in the outskirts of the country is the most recommended spot to visit, Taiwan's night markets are arguably what completes your whole itinerary for your travel. Taiwan's night markets are a venue for a lot of shopping, games, and of course, street food. One shouldn't miss lurking around the night markets to grab some delicious Taiwanese food. This is something I really wished I could do right now, as I failed to try a lot of what Taiwan has to offer on my previous tour. But thanks to the growing interest of Filipinos in different cuisines, Fat Fook came into the picture to serve Taiwanese cuisine to us Filipinos, including me!
On one packed Christmas weekend, I got to insert a sponsored visit here. I stayed for less than an hour and went off to host an outreach activity right after. It may have been a short visit, but it was one I won’t forget.
If you haven’t been to Taiwan just yet, Fat Fook could be your next best thing to experience their eccentric street food. They serve authentic as you can get Taiwanese cuisine here.
Stinky Tofu was the first one I tried, and this was truly a wild pick. It smelled like a really dirty sewage, and since am not that adventurous, I had to spit it out in front of their Marketing Manager. He understood, as he himself couldn’t bear having it. My foodie buddy, Miguel, however, finished the whole plate with gusto. Unbelievable!
They also served us Deep Fried Intestines, another dish I took a pass on, but my other foodie friends enjoyed. I was simply not the market for these.
I did enjoyed their other staple offerings, kicking off with one of the best Xiao Long Baos in town. We also had a pleasure of enjoying their Salted Egg and its giant version. The latter is a must have, foodies. The single piece Giant Xiao Long Bao at Php 188 is worth every penny for its explosive and tasty ‘soup’ and meat.
For another worthy starter and the one I almost finished all by myself is Fat Fook’s Salt & Pepper Chicken Cubes. These almost boneless tender meat was really tasty and addictive to have. I paired this with a fresh pack of healthy, steamed broccoli, one of the items you can pick from the Take Out corner as you enter.
My top pick amongst all we had was a bowl of Taiwan Beef Noodles. This was bursting with flavor, slightly spiced and comes with soothing warm chicken stock soup.
If you are a fan of Milk Tea, they offer this here as well. It is in fact one of their latest additions from their initial branch in SM North Edsa. This sweet Taiwanese should go well with their multiple savory items.
See you soon here for a unique dining experience, They just opened in Robinson’s Galleria’s newest wing.
Fatfook recently opened its second branch at robinsons galleria. The place is as big as its first branch, same style and lighting. Thanks to midz for this extended team kaladkarin invite. Thanks also to mary for calling out the dishes for us. Fatfook basically wants to let us try their new set meals and food to go options
📌😍 Spicy Beef Set @348PhP
I love the spiciness of the beef (but not recommendable for super low tolerance) this is good to go with either the noodle or rice that comes with it.
📌😍 Chicken Chop Noodle Set @298PhP i love the original chicken chops that FF offers, but this one is a little off because it’s not seasoned evenly. Some of us felt it was bland, but the part that i have tasted was well seasoned.
📌 Pork Chop Rice Set @328PhP
This set looks boring TBH. It was already cold when i tried it so to be fair, i wont be giving anymore comments about the taste, it’s just that you have to eat it right away after being served.
📌 Pork Xiaolongbao @148/238 PhP
(5/8 pcs) Not the best XLB in town, nonetheless it was okay.
📌 Salted Egg Xiaolongbao @148/238 PhP (5/8 pcs) say what? I cant differentiate the taste of the two (vs original) all i can say is this one is just a little saltier.
📌 Giant Xiaolongbao @188PhP
Does size matters to you? Try this one for your satisfaction.
📌😍 Taiwanese Sausage @328PhP
Super recommendable! Taiwanese sausage that’s smoky plus those raw garlic slices (that looks like the liturgy bread) is a blast of a combination. Boom. Tastebuds blown. Nirvana
📌 Fried Stinky Tofu @208PhP
If your tastebuds were blown by the previous dish, olfactory nerve destroyed by this dish. Lol. This stinky tofu is stinky AF. But then, you don’t need your sense of smell for this, you just have to use your taste. It tastes pretty ordinary. Just dip it in the sweet sauce that goes with it.
📌 Salt and Pepper Chicken Cubes @268PhI actually thought it was SALTED EGG. But for salt and pepper , i deem it lacking in taste. It needs to have more salt and pepper in it.
📌 Kiampong @358PhP
This one is also a let down. It lacks the saltines (kiam) in the rice (peng) needs more flavor in this Taiwanese paella dish.
📌😍 Black Pepper Beef @468PhP
I love this dish. This one is super savory, FF’s premium dish it is! You need to order rice if you order this, your appetite will shoot up once you get to try this.
📌 Taiwan Style Fried Noodles @228PhP
Meh. Needs more seasoning as well.
To go foods! It’s actually deep fried shabu shabu balls— it was oily, nonetheless, a little drying by the tissue would get the oil lesser.
📌😍 Taro Fishball @128PhP
I love that i could really taste the cute (light) taro in that ball snack.
📌😍 Sea Urchin Balls @148PhP
📌😍 Crab Roe Bun @158PhP
More milktea flavors are now available—but mind you that you need to have it at regular sugar levels. I ordered the matcha at 75% sugar and it tasted off already. These milktea does not have sinkers and you have to pay for add ons.
📌 Matcha MIlktea @138PhP
📌 Strawberry Milktea @118PhP
📌 Taro Milktea @118PhP
I hope the management would take not of the kitchen’s problem. For me, i really like the north avenue branch kitchen preparation. For this branch, it needs a little more fine tuning.
This is the Fat Fook branch nearest to my place, the other one is from the far north.
This is a Taiwanese restaurant .
The furnitures, fixtures and utensils simulates the feel of yesteryears yet in a modern setting.Very nice wall of Oriental cups and plates.
Ordered these items, pork xiao long bao, pata tim and buns, and misua intestine. The xiao long bao was very good love the brothers that's inside the bun .The pata tim was nice too worth the budget and yummy and filling steamed buns that came with it.My favorite would be the intestine misua ,flavorful and comforting .
Price here is very reasonable ,the service is also commendable. Will come back for the chicken chops and milktea.
We had our late lunch here. The ambiance is chic, well-lit and interiror design was awesome. I find this taiwanese resturant cool! porcelain bowls are attached on their walls, instagram worthy!
We ordered taiwanese style fried rice, pork xia long bao, steamed king fish, beef tenderloin hotpot, black pepper beef, stir fty eggplant with minced pork and pata tim with cupao and noodles. I find the taiwanese fried rice a bit oily. It taste bland compared to yang chow fried rice. Their Xia Long Bao is delicious and yummy. The meat is tender, wrapper is thin that melts in your mouth. The rest of the order makes me distinguish the difference of taiwainese from chinese food.
The price of the dishes were affordable and the food serving per dish is good for 2-3 persons. I will definetly come back.
The simplistic interiors set the mood for the authenticity of the flavors. I have never been to Taiwan to try their food but the ones we tried here created an exciting tasting experience.
The best thing about Fat Fook Manila is the quality and quantity of their food for the price! Each serving is good for 2-3 people. The items we ordered were more than enough for us that we each had take-out. The Fat Fook Stir-Fry Noodle is a personal favorite. It is their Taiwanese take on our beloved pansit. The dish had a particular set of spices that made me lose watch of my diet.
Very nice interiors, and more attentive staff than their other branch. We tried Fat Fook staples such as their xiao long bao and chicken chop, and also decided to try their salted egg xiao long bao. Our waiter also suggested that we try thei pata tim with cuapao bread. Good thing we listened to him, because that pata tim was our favorite out of everything we ordered. The other thing we loved was their xiao long bao, the original version. Both were really tasty and filling, and well worth your money. The chicken chop was very good as well, very large (bigger than my face) buy I'm not sure if it's worth Php300+. If you want to try the chicken chop, go for their meal sets which give you a lot more bang for your buck. We also liked their satay stir fry beef noodles, which reminded me of lamb noodles from another restaurant. Their Taiwanese fried rice is very good as well
This branch is also the first one to have a take out counter where you can get milk tea and other food to go, so that's a really great pika-pika option if you want to munch on some taiwanese street snacks while walking at the mall.
Will most likely be back to have another go at that pata tim and also to try their other dishes.
It's a newly opened restaurant at the ground floor of Robinsons Galleria that serves Taiwanese cuisine. The place looks rather interesting as the wall is adorned with blue China. Tables and chairs are of a beech wooden design with painted black metal.
My friend highly recommended the Pork Spareribs Radish Soup, and since my other companion was craving for Century eggs, we went for the Tofu with Century Egg and Pork Floss, then we ordered the 3 cups chicken, and 3 cups of plain rice.
First thing they served was the Tofu dish. It was ok. I'm not too crazy about it, but I liked the taste of Century eggs. The silken tofu seemed too delicate but I think it's a good starter. Next is the soup, the broth was savory, the spareribs really did a great job on giving flavor to the broth. The radish was soft but the spareribs were not so tender. It was difficult to eat the meat. A bit on the tough side. Lastly, the 3 cups chicken, it seemed like sweetened chicken, the chicken parts were really tiny, though flavorful. Though everything had a different taste profile that felt interesting. Also, the rice had really good texture and taste. It had the right chewiness and right amount of moisture to compliment your viand.
The place is clean, although the service, since we sat at the area where the couch is which is sort of a blind spot, the staff were not present most of the time but they were quick enough to respond when they saw us calling them.
The place looks promising. I'd like to try their other dishes when I return.
