I’ve been working from home and sheltering in place for more than seven weeks now. I am grateful that I am able to work from home and provide for my family whose livelihoods have come to halt brought about by the national lockdown. And honestly, I don’t have many complaints about the current situation, unless it’s about the injustices towards health care workers and the lack of proper help distribution and corruption of the government (mostly LGUs) . But there’s a lot of things that I miss doing while working under quarantine.

So, if you'll be planning to visit Hodai here are my recommended 9 Unli Fusion Dishes review for you. I just so happen had a great time dining at Hodai. Take note that their dishes are fusion so don't expect something of your usual flavor.
Pork Tonkatsu - if you're familiar with the Japanese dish Pork Tonkatsu it means pork cutlet that is smeared with bread crumbs, deep-fried and served with Japanese Worcestershire sauce, rice, and vegetable that is mainly cabbage. The Hodai version is the same, though, it is a bit thinner slices, perhaps to make it more easily chop and munched.
Chicken Karaage - the Karaage is simply described as "fry". So whatever it is, whether chicken, pork or anything it is just one thing... it is fried. So, with the served Hodai version, I find it interesting as it is chopped just right for munching. I think other than having it as a dish, it is also good to pair with beer or sake.
Seafood Pasta - This one is a little bit confusing for me. At first, I thought it was ramen but it was not and I find it a little bit interesting because of the mussels on top fo the pasta (which I thought ramen noodles). But then again after tasting the flavor I really savor the flavor. It's much much creamier that I think I might go back and try a bowl if I can finish it in just one sitting.
Kani Salad - One of the appetizers that are really good and one of my favorites. Mostly cabbage mixed with crab meat strips some flavorful sauce (which I don't have any idea about the mixture of the sauce).
Assorted Sushi - Of course Japanese dish wouldn't be complete without the sushi and maki rolls being taken by the other customers. Sometimes it's really hard to maintain establishments like this.
Spicy Barbeque in Chile Sauce - This specific dish is not surprising enough for others, I'm not sure how it is called or is it Filipino or Japanese.
Tempura - yes, that crunchy coating that covers the sweet and tasty meat of shrimps. I really love it very much and if only I was still young that unlimited serving of Tempura would be great.
Steamed Tofu - if you're into being a healthy buff, well, some of the dishes offered by Hodai isn't for you but there are two that you enjoy and one of them is the steamed tofu. It may be bland at first but once you taste the flavor you'll definitely enjoy it very much.
Fish Teriyaki - the Teriyaki according to google dictionary means any fish or meat marinated in soy sauce and grilled. Basically, it is a grilled dish and for this instance, it is a fish, which I really enjoyed the flavor. I'm not really sure if it is a Fish Teriyaki but it's more likely of a Karaage but anyway since it is a fusion restaurant anything can be possible.

There’s just a lot of things that I love here sa Hodai! First and foremost, the ambiance itself. It feels very homey kasi I think this one was a house that was converted into a resto.
Second, staffs are very attentive. They immediately process your request and everyone’s so knowledgeable regarding the food.
Lastly, you would come back here because of the food itself (plus nalang yung price na affordable). This one is a fusion resto ng Japanese x Korean!! YAY FOR RAMEN X SUSHI X BEEF X TEMPURA X PASTA X SIDE DISHES! 💖💖

I'm very glad we've tried this restaurant. We were really satisfied and happy with our experience. Their staffs are very accomodating and friendly. It's a thumbs up for their customer service. The food is really great for a very affordable price you can enjoy a variety of japanese food. However I wasn't satisfied with the sushis that was served to us maybe because the mango was not that ripe and produce a sour taste that does not compliment with the sushis. That's all. Nevertheless everything is a thumbs up.
Honestly said CRAVINGS SATISFIED after trying out @hodai_restaurant last week. Had a foodie meet up with my fellow food bloggers and it was a“busog” afternoon for all of us. ▫️

For as low as Php 199, you can already get its unlimited dishes! The most expensive it can get is only Php 399 and that already consists of more than 10 dishes that are unlimited!!! Yes, unlike any other buffets, in Hodai, you will order per dish! Definitely a new and unique experience.
As for the food, I really liked how savory they were. Usually, buffets have bland taste because they are made in large sets but dishes in Hodai are served with quality-taste!!!! I ENJOYED THE MAKI ROLLS THE BEST AND THE TEMPURA!!!! I love how the rolls varied and can be customized (you may ask for a different sauce on it) while the tempura was crispy on the outside but really soft inside!!! Wah I am craving as I write.
If you're done eating, they also serve Korean ice cream or if you also wanna drink, they serve alcoholic beverage. Will definitely come back to Hodai especially that it is budget-friendly.

The food was generous since it is unlimited Japanese food, presentation of the food and the taste was excellent. Loved their maki , rolls , tenpura , pasta and ramen. Price was very affordable so take advantage of their ongoing promo. The place was so huge and it has a second floor and private room for functions and events . Service was great ! Staffs are very nice and service was fast . I will definitely recommend this to foodies who loves Japanese food . Most of all it has a relaxed atmosphere.
