Service was great, the staff who attended our table was friendly and quick. Paella negra was amazeballs. The glass of sangria was good value for money.
Ordered the usual: Sangria, Paella and Salad. Food quality is consistent. They are generous with the seafood and meat they put in their paella. My favorite is their goat cheese ensalada (forgot the exact name), they really put in a huge block of creamy goat cheese in the middle. Great ambiance for a family dinner. Don't know what they say around here about the staff being impolite but when we ate, the servers were really nice and constantly checked up on us. I engaged the waitress who sliced the jamon and asked some questions, she ended up giving us some to taste!
Barcino is considered as one of the best Spanish restos in Metro Manila. And I can honestly say that it lives up to its reputation. Food is great. The ambiance of the place is good for celebrations. Note: The place is understaffed. Meaning = they cannot accommodate you immediately. The waiters should work on smiling when serving and assisting. It would make yourself seem approachable when taking orders. Plus, the experience would be a 5 if the interaction was enjoyable. Because I don't think people go back to a place just for the food and ambiance.
This place is immaculate! I love the ambiance and ofcourse their food. :) We ordered Croquetas de Chorizo, Ensalada de Queso Cabra, Paella Marisco and Pulpo con Crema. All we ordered were superb. The croquetos has a creamy taste, the goat cheese in the salad complimented the greens, the paella was flavorful and the octopus was soft and tender, cooked to perfection.
The price is really expensive, but the quality of the food says it all. Worth every peso I must say..
I'd like to give them a 5 star but their staff could be more polite. But all in all.. I'd still come back and try other dishes.

Service was really good! I was a bit disappointed that my four favorite wines were not available, but I can understand because they are best-sellers. I recommend the Jamon Serrano and Patatas Bravas alongside the Finca Constancia 23. The churros are light and a great way to cap the meal.
Billing out took longer than expected. But other than this, good food and service. They were very attentive. Will come back for the wine and cheese.
One of the few places that offer an authentic paella. Paella is supposed to have a toasted bottom -- yung tutong -- called the soccarat. The taste was great. Very very sulit with zomato gold. Bring a friend and you won't regret it!

All the dishes tasted great but our favorites were the Paella Negra and Pulpo. Accompanied by their Sangria Tinto of course. As the best seller, the paella didn’t disappoint. The serving had lots of squid rings which was enough to fill our hungry stomachs. At first, I was quite hesitant to order the octopus because I was expecting it to be difficult to chew. Surprisingly, the octopus was so soft and had an excellent texture. This is something I’m looking forward to try again someday. Finally, the servers were also super attentive and kind to accommodate our request for the paella to have the socarrat (tutong). I really recommend visiting this branch.
i have been to several branches of barcino and have always had a positive experience. today was no exception except for 1 thing, the grilled tuna was a dry.
Paella Mixta is one of the best I've tasted, really flavorful and generous with seafood and meat. Calamares and pork taste like the usual (just ordered them in case the paella would be bland lol) but I do appreciate the unique plating. Food is definitely 5/5 but service is 3 to 4. The servers were polite but would appreciate if they're more friendly like smile once in a while or even just once. Ambience is also 5/5 I really like restos where you can catch up with friends without the place beginning to feel too loud and crowded.

Paella Rabo De Toro was a hit. Their callos was authentic. Baby squid fritters , always reliable. The servers were very attentive , ours was Mark. The supervisor named Aris took time to check on our food. He was also busy serving guests. The place was rather small but there are tables outside.
It’s always a pleasure dining at Barcino. We ordered our favorites, jamon, boquerones and paella negra. Staff served us well and were very courteous and helpful.
The paella we ordered was “undercooked” as it didn’t have the distinct crust at the bottom of the pan, but it was delicious nonetheless. Also ordered rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly to our liking and well-seasoned. The gambas and salpicao were excellently flavored and cooked as well. Overall, the price may be steep but the ambiance is perfect for special occasions.

I have already attended three Christmas Parties and I still looked forward to my fourth at Barcino in UP Town Center. For me, Barcino means Sangria. And it was Sangria that helped me loosen up a bit with the boss and the staff (most of them ordered beer).
Coming straight from work, the staff ordered heavy meals pasta and paella. I, on the other hand, had Gambas and croquettes in-between sips of cold Sangria. And from the satisfied look of the staff I had to taste their their pasta and paella. Before I knew it, I was having my second round of dinner. They were surprisingly good.
I've noticed that the lights of this branch were particular dimmed compared to the other Barcino I've visited. I wasn't able to take photos of the food right because of the lack of appropriate lighting, that's why. Oh well...
Service was satisfactory. The lady assigned to our table was patient with our staff's fickle-mindedness when it comes to ordering. It's their right, I say. For that night, the table has turned. That night, they were the customers, they can be fickle as much as they want to. Cheers, Barcino.
My friends and I celebrated our Christmas dinner there. Servings were hefty and the the buy 1 take 1 promo gave variety in our meals. We were to enjoy dishes in less the price. Hope they serve buy 1 get 1 on drinks too next time!
Food - 3; the sauce in the Albondigas de la Abuela is perfect! The meatballs could have benefited from some searing, it needed more texture. The rice in the Paella Negra is also perfect but I needed more squid in it. Again, one can’t go wrong with Barcino’s paella.
Ambience - 5; great lighting, good use of space, beautiful wall decor, mellow music, tolerable noise.
Service - 4; very helpful and nice staff. One dropped a knife on my plate but I’m also clumsy so I really don’t have any moral ascendancy to complain here!
Going back? Maybe 3 or 4 times in a year.

Barcino is a restaurant that serves Spanish cuisine and wine. The ambience of the place is really nice and classy. It is perfect for family gatherings and eating out with your friends. Moreover, they offer party packages that is good for at least 10 people. I know most people only visit this restaurant at night but we went here during lunch time because why not? This restaurant also serves good food for lunch.
From the meal we had, I recommend the following:
Paella de Chorizo y Pollo (4/5) - This is really good but I hoped there are more ingredients/sahog to it
Spaguettis a la Catalana (4/5) - I think I ate this the most because I love spaghettis.
Croquetas de Chorizo (4/5) - I love this one. Definitely order this one when you go here.
Ensalada les Rambles (4/5) - If you love tuna salads, then you would like this one.

We had their octopus and the paella negra, and both were really excellent. The octopus knocked it out of the park, it was tender yet had a great charred flavor. The potato cream was smooth and was a great complement to it. This is a pricey dish no doubt, but it's worth it. The paella negra was well cooked and was really really flavorful, the only thing you'd want from it is that it should have some more meat, but it's great.
Service was good, definitely would want to come back.

I've eaten here twice now and I think it's a great date place. It's small and cozy. If you're into wine, you'll enjoy their selection. There's an entire wall display of some of them.
Tbh, I enjoyed most of the food I've tried, which includes:
1. Croquetas pollo y jamon- very creamy, almost a little too creamy for my liking. Once you bite into it it dissolves. I'm not too sure how I feel about this one.
2. Pimentos de picquillo rellenos de carne- stuffed peppers with a creamy tomato sauce. A little on the oily side.
3. Pollo al ajillo- tasted like a fancy upgraded adobo with crispy potato bits! My SO and I were fighting over this!
4. Arroz montañez- (with chicken and pork), this was like a Spanish risotto!
5. Crema catalana-it was like creme brulee with cinnamon and had a citrusy taste too it. Loved this!
Will try the paella next time!
Great ambience, food, drinks, and service made for pleasant experience. Price is a bit on the high side, though, but then again you are pay for everything good that I just mentioned above.
Place is a bit small, but very cozy and immersing. Service was excellent, servers were attentive, friendly, and orders were served promptly. Then sangria is pretty good! It's not too sweet and has a good kick as well. Chorizo was salty and delicious. Overall, it's a good place to chill with your significant other or with a close group of friends.
The service was good and the place was cozy and intimate. Most of the ones we ordered like the Paella And Pulpo are exceptional, except for the Callos. It has an aftertaste. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place.
