Located inside the Wilcon Depot, this resto serves good comfort food, in an exotic way. They serve croc meat, if you're after a unique dish, you can give this a try. Otherwise, they serve other variety of dish on their menu.
Overall, this resto is a must visit in the North 😊

I've been at Wilcon nearly every other week for the past few years yet I've never been tempted to eat at Urban Cafe. Well, after running my errands, and tired of the usual, I decided to give the crocs a try. It's not a full-service restaurant, and I think the cashier is the cook and waiter as well. (poor guy). No wonder I needed to go to the counter to order and pay (no biggie, but I thought he'd hand me the menu and take my order from my table). I had the croc sisig (P185) (which I had before at Puerto Princesa), which basically tasted the same. The guy was also kind enough to cook my egg further (I really don't like them runny, and I like my yolk cooked). I'd have loved to try the croc steak but sadly they ran out for the day. That is an order for another day. I will stay away from their pastries though. They don't really taste 'wow'. (and not to be mean but I can bake better stuff).
Oh, you'll love the ambiance and the board games. Some chairs need to be replaced or reupholstered though. All it takes is the one with the wrong dress to sit there and you'll have a very mad diner....
Update: They've replaced the old chairs. I'm still waiting for the croc steak to be available when I drop by.
Saturdate with love! We are here at wilcon because my Fiance need some make over for his hair before we went here I already search this restaurant and saw their rate is fine.
We enjoy so much our foods here at The Urban Cafe! Ambiance is good so quiet and peaceful lol. The staff's are wearing their best smile always. (Which a big plus on me that's why I will give them a rate of 4!)
Wanna try their other menus soon. Like the croc burger so interesting name though. Anyways we ordered blueberry cheesecake taste is ordinary but its okay. Tuna Aglio Olio this is great! I want a lot of it! Lol. With garlic on side because Im a garlic lover. And Urban Cheese Burger super yum and well cooked.

I was here years ago way before Wilcon Depot had their major renovation. I remember having a meeting here with a Korean Commercial Director for a project and I don't recall Urban Cafe serving crocodile burger then or else I would have ordered for one. Because I know for a fact that croc meat is flavorful, though a bit gamey, when I first tried years back in a restaurant in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
I entered Urban Cafe expecting nothing but just to satisfy my craving for a good Mocha (I had stopped drinking coffee altogether since). And from ordering nothing but Mocha I added The Urban Croc Burger when I read in the menu. I just had to have it.
The Mocha was not good, that's the bad news. But the Croc Burger was delightful, that's the good news. I was waiting for the gamey taste to creep in as I was biting on the burger but it never came. Another good news. It was on the bland side, though, but it's something table salt and pepper can easily fix. What's the downside? The patty crumbled easily. My plate was a big mess that it looked like a 3-year old kid had a grand time hiding his Lego bricks under the patty and the bread.
The lone server/cook/cashier should be given an award for the Best Multi-Tasker of the Year. He was able to handle every single task with calm gusto. Question: Will he be as calm once another table ot two start demanding for his attention? Hope not.
I will definitely be back. Maybe in another branch to try their Dauntless Croc Sisig. Dauntless? Really now...
A place which I can properly call a cafe. It is quaint and acoustics are well thought of. The food is likewise commendable. I like their carrot cake-- creammy buttery and not sweet. Not to mention, their price is cheap!
Don't be scared to try out croc meat here! They have their own farm and they are certified so you could be sure of cleanliness and proper handling of the crocodile meat.Croc meat is like chicken meat and it's healthy too!Super love their Crossbone Steak, Croc BBQ, and Croc Sisig! Match them with their frappes to complete your exotic food cafe experience! Their price is budget friendly too! Coffee shop price. For me, it's a hidden gem that foodies must really try out!

From the outside & even from its pretty interior, The Urban Cafe simply exhibits passers-by what its name suggests: it’s a cafe. A look at their menu though would let you know otherwise. Allegedly, there is some sort of an oversupply that its consumption has already been welcomed, thus giving us another meat alternative which apparently is also healthier (fewer calories, less fat, rich in omega-3). This is what this resto has fully embodied as their niche: croc meat dishes conveniently available right here in the city. Read on.

Love is sweeter the second time around. Wow. So cheesy! This is how I felt when I received an invitation from The Urban Cafeagain. It was on 2014 when Miss Elaine from Zomato invited me for The Urban Cafe’s grand opening. It was two years ago and now, I feel so old. Just kidding!
So now, let’s start our 2016 The Urban Cafe exotic and healthy food adventure with American Croc Ribs BBQ (P195.00). This is one of the new dish that we tried. It was tender and sweet!
We also had Sousvide Croc Crossbone Steak (P195.00). Honestly, I’m not a fan of steak, but it actually compliments well with the sauce.
Sorry, Croc Crossbone Steak. I’m still in love with Dauntless Sisig (P195.00). Too sad, I had to share it with the bloggers. This is the healthy version of Sisig since crocodile meat is less in fat.
They also served us Sousvide Croc Tocino (P195.00) andFarm Bred Croc Tapa (P195.00).
The Croc Cigar (P180.00).
Croc Sausage Silog (180.00) was flavorful and a must-try too!
The Urban Cafe’s Cheeseburger (P170.00) was good and juicy! The burger was served with chips. Make sure you have someone to share the burger with you because it was big.
All of the dish we tried is 100% made from crocodile meat. So if you’re an adventurous when it comes to food, this is the perfect place to visit. If ever you’re not, it is fine! You can still try their pasta and pastries. You can even have your wine, coffee and tea party here!

I though that eating crocodile is not allowed but it seems it is no longer true. The government itself is allowing the sale and consumption of crocodile due to the over supply of crocodile meat. The Urban Cafe at Wilcon City Center in Visayas Avenue is one of the very few places where you can find authentic, clean and delicious crocodile meat and dishes.
