We ordered, bagoong rice, crispy dinuguan and crispy pata kare kare. All servings are good for 2-3 so yeah, my partner and I are eating for max of 9 people. Lol. I love the serving size, ambiance, affordability, location and the service staffs. It definitely adds up to the delish dishes. Taste can be improved but i am not complaining. Hehe the crispy pata is specially crispy and tender at the same time. Awesome job there. ❤ definitely a must try if you are in the true north. :)
loved everything they served though a bit pricey,
the combination of good food and good ambiance though will be worth the price..
highly recommended, 😊
Great Filipino food! The Kare kare will definitely not disappoint your cravings! Try also the Pinakbet, the flavors truly blends! Place is also spacious and very homey. Parking is also available. Price is okay.
We had a great dining experience. Their kare-kare is great and the place gives out a comfortable homey feeling. I hope that they can accommodate more guests soon.
After a tiring early morning field work, we headed to Hamia for comfort food.
Dining out for Filipino dishes is a challenge if you are surrounded with great cooks back home. You would always end up comparing the recipes but Hamia went over the top. It caters great Kare Kare and serves the best Baked Tahong. I posted an aftermath of my plate as a proof.
Our orders include Crispy Pata Kare-Kare, Inihaw Platter, Laing, Baked Tahong, Grilled Tuna, and Salmon Belly Sinigang. Customers can also cross-order in JT’s Inasal menu managed by the same owner.
Preparation time took long and our orders was served in 30mins. The ambiance is nice except the outdoor seating area may tend to be hot during daytime.
Ambience is good. Food is good. Service is good. Winner are sinigang na salmon, kare-kare and chrispy pata. Add their crispy d and the ensaladang mangga. The best!
I love this place!!! Everything's delicious 😋😋😋
Situated on the commonwealth avenue extension where private cars are the more accessible mode of transportation, their place looks like a house converted into a resto. Not that fancy but they have nice looking interiors decorated with vintage items. Spacious inside but a little bit hot even with the aircon on (or maybe it's just summer)
We ordered: (EVERYTHING's yummy for me so a bit description only$
Sisig: my sisters' addicted to sisig, instead of an appetizer, she eats it with rice. Yummy
Baked Tahong: superb! I always order this but this one's the only resto to serve it plenty loaded with melted cheese for a very affordable price. Yummy
Ginataang Kuhol: OMG the way they did this gata is so right in the stomach feels. Just the perfect kick of spice in it makes you crave for moreeee. Yummy
Pinoy Fried Chicken: preferred roasted but it's fine taste seeped thru the bone. Crispy chicken skin! Yummy
Lengua con Cetas: love the roasted garlic and creamy soup on top. I'm so fond of lengua and I'm constantly ignoring the fact that it's ox tongue. Weird. But Yummy
Lechon Kawali: crunchy skin. Served with salted egg. Yummy
Pancit Guisado: very big servings, packed with lechon Kawali seafood and veggies. Super Yummy
Beef Kare Kare: of course, their signature dish. Balanced taste of peanut sauce in there. Still yummy even without the alamang!
Very SULIT. All have big servings for affordable price. I. Love. Hamia. 😘😍😋🐽
Love their Crispy Pata Kare-kare. The kare-kare sauce was separated from Crispy Pata so it was like we had 2 dishes in one. Crispy pata skin was crispy and tasted traditional and the kare kare was thick with some pieces of vegetables. The place was indeed homey and we'd like to come again to try their other dishes.
It was our first time to eat in this restaurant and we were very hesistant to begin with. We werent sure if the food is good and if the price is going to be worth it. But we are so glad we tried it. The food is great. The crew is very accomodating. They were able to answer all of our questions regarding the food. The kare-kare was definitely good. Living to their name. It catches the right blend of the authentic kare kare of filipinos.
Placed our orders around 8pm. The servers greeted us at the entrance and they were all attentive to the customers.
