I fell in love with UCC because of their Kori-Kohi which is basically an inverted coffee. You get a glass of Coffee Cubes and you will pour your Warm Milk which will melt your Coffee Cubes. The ambiance of this particular branch is more inviting and not intimidating as you are pretty much surrounded by a lot of Titas of Manila who are either enjoying their cup of coffee or some salads or sandwiches.

This is coming from a student who likes coffee, and comfortable places when writing papers.

I have been visiting UCC Clockwork here in Vertis North for quite a while now, and usually the name UCC kinda throws people off mainly due to the prices (looking over at UCC in Trinoma). Yet, this branch can be surprisingly affordable if you take it slow and cool - like an afternoon chat, or a school project, or reviews. You'll find the ambience of this place to be quite relaxing and can offer an more than accommodating opportunity to get on with the things you might tackle on.

As with all UCC branches, they also offer their distinct Kori Kohi - those coffee ice cubes with warm milk and sugar, a sort of do it yourself version of the iced coffee we always order. Instead of the tall flute glass that they offer with - they place it with a big and tall glass, like those cookies and milk combinations except filled with cubes of caffeine and midnight hours.

For other choices, UCC brances have a theme or style that offers different menus, or even cuisines all together - like Mentoré's bar setup and the Original ones formal setting. Clockwork's in particular offers a taste of coffee from around the world, from Germany, Greeece to Vietnam. They offer a experience that is akin to having a taste test of other nation's coffee culture. There are ways, methods, and formats that this theme offers in anything related to coffee. Non-caffeinated options are also available, like their pressed juices. But quite lacking on other matters using fruits can be puzzling.

As for the food, I genuinely liked their selection of Filipino, Western, and Japanese inspirations. Notable of which is their pancake which is served on a skillet or pan itself. That thick cloud of flour and butter is a treat for those looking for a sweet breakfast, lunch or midnight treat, it is certainly worth it to try.

In conclusion, I would recommend UCC Clockwork for being a modern take into the UCC Coffee experience, where they offer a variation of experiences depending on your taste. Relaxing, chatting, or studying. This branch can be a takeaway for those who need it.

Notes: The best days to go for studying are Mondays to Thursdays around 10-12AM and the 3:30-10PM as these hours are generally quiet and offer much more privacy in terms of connecting or just studying.

Also, the mall is generally quiet (almost devoid of beings) around the weekdays, so mostly these should be the days where you get out explore around Vertis often. (Theater can have almost zero people on these days - Luxe Seats!)

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays should be around 10-11AM and 8-10PM as the general activity around the mall increases to full capacity.

I had Ca Phe Sua Da which is an iced coffee from Vietnam. It was fancy. They serve the coffee while it still brews. The coffee drips from the cap for 5 minutes then the staff will remove the cap after then.

If you're a fan of strong coffee, like I am, you will definitely like this. It has condensed milk at the bottom. It really tastes of quality.

They have 5% service charge on top of the bill.

I am excited to try more of their coffee. The prices are above average, especially the food.
