We ordered the famous special sinigang sa bangus, kare-kare, crispy pata and pancit bihon. The food was great and the ambiance was cozy :) If there will be another team lunch near ABS-CBN this will be the place to go :)
Our TV production group had a long creative meeting that when we finished past seven in the evening, that all we wanted was to eat. And eat good. And good meant not with the yellow, gayish clown and horrors, not with the big, fat bee. Since, everyone works/worked with ABS-CBN (I was with GMA), they all agreed to meet at Kuya's sa QC.
Upon entering, darkness greeted me. Not darkness-darkness but darkness that any foodie would hate. Why? Not enough light for a passable photo. Its the type of darkness reserved for fine dining. Its the type that you expect a violinist grand entrance any moment.
Then, you study the menu. You see the prices. Pang-fine dining nga.
Anyway, everyone started ordering. I just ordered the alleged popular twice-cooked Adobo and Kare-Kare. It didn't take long for them to served the food. I attacked the dry pork Adobo with the sauce served separately.
It was very good. Its the food you secretly hope that no one asks a piece of. Its the type that you order for "extra rice." The meat was tender and fried just right. The sauce? Unforgettably salty. Not the bad salty but the saltiness you can easily neutralize with more steaming rice (thus, "extra rice").
How about the Kare-Kare? It was equally good but it was the twice-cooked Adobo that really stole the show (well, for me.)
I suggest that you put on more light, just a little more. That's it.

I will recommend this to my friends and family they must try the Sinigang,Kare Kare and Chicken inasal they favorite to eat. And good place to eat.
Driving along with the family last Sunday. After attending mass, I decided to take my wife and kids for a lunch. A few rounds of driving looking for a place to eat, we ended up at this cozy place named Kuya's at QC. We ordered adobo, veggies etc. But hunger is really getting into me to I asked the waiter for an appetizer at least. He recommended that we try their Dulong with crackers. That's a bit odd for me cause, since when has dulong became some sort of an appetizer? But I gave my approval and there it was. Dulong paste partnered with crackers that made me discover a whole new perception of Filipino taste. My kids? They go for hotdogs, bacon and the likes. But never did I saw them appreciate something like Dulong. Dulong?!!! Going home I found out that they sell it in jars. Php 375. I got 3 then went home. See you again Kuya's at QC. Dulong!!!!!
That T. K. O. Crispy Pata... Nothing like it as far as my taste buds are concerned. Now it will be DIFFICULT for me to order my favorite dish just anywhere. And I blame you Kuya's at QC. I'll be back.
Kuya's AT QC is an excellent stop for Filipino comfort food. The service was acceptable and when they messed up one of our orders, they happily corrected the mistake. I love their food and service. Happy and satisfied customer. :)
Delicious Food & Desserts. Reasonable Price & Food Serving, Nice Ambiance & Furniture. Friendly Staff ^_^. TKO Crispy Pata is a MUST try, the best! We will definitely going back.... Ideal for events/parties!
Nothing much to say...
Very good & yummy filipino food! The best talaga ang Kuya's At QC.
I fell in love with the very filipino design concept and interiors of their place, Panalo!
Reasonable food prices and portions. I just hope you guys maintain the quality of food kase hindi tipid sa rekado at timpla.
Overall highly recommended and must try talaga keep it up! :)
Sobrang sarap ng foods dito. I love their sinigang. Can wait to back again. Guys must try their dishes sobrang sarap talaga. Di talaga kayo mag sisisi
My favorite sinigang is here! super amaze with the asim ng pinagsama samang bayabas, kamias at mangga! Thank you to my sister Rose Ann for the treat. Balik tayo dito!
Who would have thought that combining sinigang and paella in just one dish would be so perfectly matched, it easily becomes a bestseller, and also the kare-kare. Ilove it. Their dish is amazing.
For starters, try their Kuripot Rice, a beautifully plated masterpiece of TKO crispy pata, Sinigang, and Lumpiang sariwa. For dessert, while you can’t go wrong with their Puto bumbong and bibingka they also have other sweets that are just as delicious like banana cake with vanilla ice cream toppings.... Best Filipino restaurant located at Mother Ignacia Street, Quezon City... I'll be back here soon :) and this time with my family na....
We decided to set our group meeting sa Kuya's At QC... I was so amaze sa food! and sarap specially yung best seller nilang TKO Crispy pata, nakaka knok-out sa sarap. I will recommend this place to our regional manager na dito nalang iset ang Monthly meeting namin. Perfect place para sa mga ganitong meeting.
I enjoyed the Crispy Pata combined with beer! Wow... and also the lechon kawali and the kuripoy rice, the best! Try to visit Kuya's At QC guys, you will never regret it!

This was a great introduction to Filipino food for me! The staff were friendly and welcoming. Besides being very informative about the menu, the joked with us throughout our meal. The food itself was delightful. We started with a plate of TKO crispy Pata and an order of Kuripot Rice, Lumpiang Sariwa... That second dish had me a little apprehensive, but it was delicious: crisp and flavorful. The Lumpiang Sariwa were perfect appetizers, just big enough to whet the appetite for the entrees. We shared 5 entrees so everyone at the table could have a bit of everything. This place is an amazing find, and I am sure we will return when we're in the area again. ^_^
Kuya's QC has the best filipino comfort food! The kare kare is smooth, buttery finish and very peanut buttery!! I recommend this to anyone who wants to have the authentic filipino taste. ✨✨✨✨
My friends and I liked it that we had wide choices of food to choose from... the Crispy Pata al Ajillo knocked us out, kaya pala they call it TKO (Total Knuckle Obsession)... a must try at babalik balikan namin yan... sarap to the bone, lutong ng balat and so tender and chewy ang meat. The combined 'asim' ng green mango, kamias at guava makes the sinigang anghang really heavenly. Yun kasama ko naman had a burger and chili fries and I saw her relishing each bite with “gusto.” Tinikman ko bago maubos and grabe, sarap nga pati ng combination niya. And for my sweet tooth, I had to try the home-made desserts. We ordered bibingka, puto bumbong, cheesecake and peanut butter pudding. Ibang-iba ang sarap ng bibingka at puto bumbong. Melt in your mouth ang bibingka, you can savor the taste of itlog na maalat, kesong puti, topped by queso de bola and another kind of cheese. The sesame seed and grated 'panutsa' on the puto bumbong gave it a distinct and special flavor.
Wow.sobrang sarap at affordable ang price.recommend ko.ito..kaya.yunv mga friends and family ko dito na kayo malinis masarap at mababait ang staff and crew..
Super love ko ang TKO and the sinigang nila.must try... love love....visit kayo @ Raffy Magora and family👍👍👍... Mabelle Achas sama ka@Jennifer Dannuy lika na...
Visited Kuya's a couple of weeks ago. Tried the following:
Crispy Pata TKO - a real knockout - so crisp and yummy to the bone, no hard parts and perfect even for people with dentures
Puto bumbong - love the not-so-sticky consistency and full flavor, as well as the shaved topping of panutsa / bao
Dinuguan - full-bodied, this is the only resto I've tried dinuguan with lamang loob (other restos seem to shy away from including this), could be a little less sour and not as thick, but great with rice!
Fresh Lumpia - You'll love this! A humongous lumpia good for two. Love the texture of the veggies mixed together in the filling.
Bibingka - this is definitely an easy favorite, so fluffy and soft to the bite.
Roxas Adobo - very robust taste. Another one great with rice!
Service is also excellent - attentive and friendly.
The food was great! And all their home-cooked food was amazing. The Bibingka was heaven, and the Crispy Pata TKO was good as hell. Will definitely come back with family and friends.
Solid yung kuripot rice! You don't even need ulam, kahit yung kanin lang kabusog na! 😁😁😁 The crispy tadyang is a winner too! Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!
Really good, no non-sense, traditional Filipino comfort food.
Their spicy crispy pata is a must-try.
Their bulalo tasted like a good home cooked bulalo, the way bulalo should taste like.
Went on a Sunday and the place felt like home. Great for a no-frills family lunch or dinner.
Love the food. The twice cooked adobo is good as well as the KareKare. Definitely the special Sinigang is a must. If you go on Friday, the band is very good.
AMBIENCE. The place instantly reminds you of an 80s Pinoy movie resto scene, where drunks would suddenly appear from nowhere and wreck the place and hit FPJ with beer bottles—and then our hero would hit them one by one until everyone falls to the ground. It's that old-looking. Would need some serious spruce-up.
FOOD. Perfectly lutong-bahay! We had sinigang na baboy (great for 3, tender pork, yummy broth), laing (cooked Dencio's-style, with gabi leaves wrapped around minced pork—sarap!), and twice-cooked adobo (almost fried, with adobo sauce on the side—another good one). My group was too happy after.
SERVICE. The waiter (this daddy-ish guy with fingers that smelled of cigarette smoke—gross) could pay more attention. He was busy hanging out with his kitchen posse instead of looking out for a customer's next request.
OVERALL. Deserves a second visit.
