I used to be a frequent customer of Go! Kizip and I have seen how their service went down hill. But with my recent visit there (just the other night), I was surprised with how much it has improved. Here are 10 reasons why I'm giving them a 5/5 rating.
1. They use to only have ala carte servings but to get head to head with all the Korean restos around Timog and Tomas Morato, they now have unlimited meat and shabu shabu. You have three options, 399 pesos for unli pork, 499 for unli pork, beef and chicken and then 599 for unli all meat with shabu shabu and cheese.
2. They have more flavors of meat than the competitors. Just for the pork alone, they have like 8 or more kinds. The beef and chicken have their own varieties too. So there's really a lot to choose from. And you have the option to add a shabu shabu which is not offered on other unlimited samgyupsals.
3. Aside from the unlimited meat and shabu shabu, the drinks (pineapple, iced tea or 4 seasons) and the rice are also unlimited. They also have a complete set of side dishes, steamed egg and soup (only japchae and bean sprouts were not served that time). Other restaurants have less sidings and you'll need to order rice and drinks separately.
4. They expanded, the place is now twice the size as they occupied the space leased at their left. This means more tables inside (on top of the tables placed outside the resto).
5. Go Kizip is one of the few that uses a smokeless grill. However, on the tables located at the expanded portion of the restaurant, you'll still see the classic styled metallic smoke pipes hanging from the ceiling.
6. They now have a working wifi.
7. There was improvement with the service time. The crew was also more attentive now with the customer's request compared to how it was before (but this maybe subjective with the number of customers present).
8. I noticed that the quality of meat improved and they are more fresh (again this can be subjective as many factors may affect this criterion).
9. Celebrities frequent this resto so it is a bonus if you see one.
10. They are open 24 hours and accepts credit card at the same time (which is a rare feature for a Korean Grill restaurant).
My recommendation is to go visit the resto at late night or early morning to avoid big crowds (11 PM to 3 AM). Also, avail the 499 unlimited pork, beef, chicken and cheese. I don't think it is 'sulit' to get the 699 (plus shabu shabu) since you'll only have a little space in your tummy for soup and meatballs which are heavy and can easily make you feel that you are full. Make sure to try the bulgogi beef and the chicken bbq. These are really tasty.
What can be improved?
1. The cheese was served at my last round of bulgogi beef. In fact, I wouldn't know that there was unlimited cheese if the waiter didn't asked me if I wanted a cheese refill (which I said I wasn't given cheese the first round). But it is just minor since the meat itself is already flavored.
2. The chicken was served in one big chunk. I was scared that there might still be bones. Later I was able to confirm that it was all chicken breasts. You'll just need to heat it for around 5 minutes then cut it using the big scissors. Still, it would have been nice if they served it in smaller portions (same with the pork which were served in big slabs) or had at least assisted with cutting the meat.
Again, this review is subjective as I've witnessed how the quality of service can change in a short span of time. But for now, let me give them a 5/5 rating for the big improvement that I was able to observe.
Since I moved to Manila, this restaurant is my most favorite Korean bbq place so far. Especially no long line waiting in front!! They have good quality meat here plus a lot of side dishes but sometime just a bit cold that’s why one star is missing. 599 for both unlimited grill pork and beef plus shabu-shabu, you can’t find any better deal like this in Manila 👍🏻👍🏻

One of the first Korean BBQ places I tried a few years ago. This became a go-to place for me and my mom since they have an outdoor area that allows pet dogs. I like their sides and I think they have excellent kimchi jjigae (the spicy red soup). Recently they offered unlimited pork and beef for 500. We preferred the beef over pork and they were okay with us ordering just the beef. Oh and the iced tea is also free with the unli kbbq! Another pro about this place is that it’s open until late hours.
they don't offer yet the unlimited but food was great. the pork with salt and pepper is tasty and maganda ang pag ka grill. the marinated grilled pork okay naman siya siguro di lang talaga ako fond sa sweet spice. Side dishes nagustuhan ko yung japchae, kimchi, soup and egg.
Service - noong una ayaw ko sana kumain diyo since there were bad reviews regarding the service. well para sa akin magaling yung nagserve sa amin si caressa gave as a very good experience, she is friendly ang galing nang pag grill niya nung orders namin and kahit madami kaming tanong she answered everything. Sana bigyan siya nang commendation for doing a good job kasi sa ibang korean restaurants service is slow.
ambiance - di siya masikip, hindi mausok, maluwag siya tapos makakapag usap pa kayo nang kasama mo since di masyadong loud yung place.
Price - okay lang naman, tama lang di mahal di rin mura - tama lang for the restaurant's offer
i won't give a 5 yet lets wait dun sa unlimited offer nila and let see how they will cater ang madaming tao sa service and taste of food.
overall experience - definitely will recommend this place.
The place is small and there are only few tables and it was quite hot. The servers were nice and responsive. The meat tasted Good and fresh specially the beef! Quite pricey tho but worth it.
What can I say? This restaurant got our family going back here for almost 4 consecutive sundays! It is truly one of those samgyupsal places that makes you come back because it’s truly one of your bang for your buck places! What we do is we order their U-Samgyup and Moksal. Usually 2 for each and then we get their amazing side dishes that is filling itsef already. The steamed egg, doenjang-jjigae, kimchi, fish cake, minced meat with quail eggs??? They never disappoint with the serving!!!! And can I just also commend their ssamjjang??? THE HOMEMADE SSAMJJANG MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER. Service? Impeccable staff. What we usually avail isn’t the unli one because the single orders is suffice because of the side dishes you get alongside with it. I recommend this restaurant 10/10!!!
I always go here when I want a quick korean fix near my place! I only order their meats, specifically the angus beef and u-samgyup! Haven’t tried their other dishes! I love their appetizers and how they cook the food infront of you! :)
Quality of the food is quite good. Not much choices but it's ok. What I didn't like is that they don't have any kind of chicken dish!
Prices are ok. Service fast.
It's our first time to try "sam gyeup sal" we decided to try it because we are so curious why a lot of people keeps on talking about it, maybe because of too much kdrama? Plus it looks yummy too, and we like smokeless grill lol. All Korean restaurants in tomas morato were fully booked plus our kids were already hungry and Kizip was our last resort. Good thing when we arrived, there's a vacant couch inside the resto so we ordered immediately. We tried their pork belly 300php and beef slice350php good for 3-4 person with unlimited sides and soup. We just ordered rice around 40php and drinks. All for less than a thousand. Not bad for 4pax. The food tasted good but nothing special. we just enjoyed being a korean for a night lol! The place is comfy especially we brought our kids and they have big couch. I don't think we'll come back here, maybe we'll try some Korean resto who offers unlimited grilling with reasonable price hehe.
We ordered their hotpot, which has a minimum of two orders. We also got additional 5 pcs. cheeseballs and beef brisket on top of the hotpot set menu. The set comes with two kinds of shell seafood and different types of veggies.
I noticed that they have doorbells on each of their tables to call the waiters, but our table doesn’t have one. But it’s fine. There are a lot of attentive waiters around.
I really love your concept of being buffet sytle 😍😍😍😍 But maybe you still need to add more menus. and i love you shabu shabu its so nice. Thanks.
My go to Korean restaurant. We've been going here for a few years now and they're consistent with the quality of food. I've never ordered anything else but our favorite U-Sam-Gyeop and Mok Sal. If you want the pork neck, please note that the Hangjeongsal is very fatty. Order the Mok Sal instead, it is fresh pork neck sliced. If you have extra buck, try their marinated version of the meat. Side dishes are unlimited of course. What truly made us go back here is their soup Kimchi Jigae. Never fails.. My only concern are their staff, the old ones. Not nice at all. However, if you're a Korean, expect that you'll be treated like a King :) But.. the trainess are very friendly. I just came there last week, they have new staff on training. They are very attentive and respectful.
The food was great. Samgyupsal set is a bit fatty but still taste good. I love their unlimited side dishes. The crew are nice and approachable, would love to be back! ❤
We're here almost every other week last year. Fan kasi talaga kami ng mga yakiniku/samgyupsal ever since, Go Kizip Malate and Timog are our go to place for koren food cravings. Kaya lang lately yung Timog Branch nagbago ng policy sa Side Dishes nila, you need to order 1 meal for you to get all the side dishes available which we were'nt informed in the first place na may ganun na palang changes. After namin kumain tsaka lang minention nung staff nila na pwede naman pala as long as umorder ng one meal like Kimchi Jiggae.
The food is still good, spam rice, chapchae, samgyupsal, galbi. Oh tips!!! Don't order those spiced versions kasi mas mahal lang pero same lang na parang timpla. You can customize the flavor naman using their spices para hindi ka na magdagdag ng 100+ and try the thicker cut beefs mas masarap siya yung tag 500. 🙂
My go to place for unli shabu shabu. My friend referred me to this place and we we're sad the first time when they were out of shabu shabu but the next time we visited there was. Apparently the unli shabu shabu had a default ingredients of beef, seafood, fish cake, fish balls and veggies (like corn, lettuce etc.). The beef is the main ingredient to be refilled but they're not shy to refill the seafood and veggies, even the broth as well. Even though it is unlimited you can't replace the broth to a new one so having too much beef refills would lead to an oily, unhealthy broth that is unsuitable in slurping. (I guess that's when you stop eating if you have a bottomless stomach).
Overall I enjoyed my dining experience here, but sometimes the service lacks a bit as we wait for more than 15 minutes for our refill.
Price 4/5
Food 4/5
Service 3.5/5
Atmosphere 3/5
Awesome food! I love their sagol yuk gae jang! The bibimbap needs more authenticity but still is good. Servers are awesome! I keeps going back once or twice a week.
Go ki zip is my go-to if I'm in the mood for more than kimchi soup and wrapping grilled meat in some greens. They have a wider variety of Korean dishes, grill, soup and noodle options. They also have different sides, upon several visits, I never really get the same side combinations. I also love their service egg soup and some sort of kimchi soup. Their kimchi is more on the sour side though and they usually have a minimum order for the grill.
Ambience and furnishing is not very 'Korean grill' but you may choose to dine inside or outside. There are instances when the flooring can be very slippery.
Serving sizes of most are generous that It would be good to be eating as a group as some single dishes are good for 3 or more. The staff are friendly but can get slow to respond at times.
Nevertheless, I enjoy dining here; GoKiZip is always an option when we're in the mood for Korean food.
24 hours + Yummy korean food = heaven! I'm glad I discovered this place, I finally have a decent 2am lunch option when I am neck deep at work. A spicy tofu soup will surely wake my tired soul. Plus their dumpling is to die for! I dont like eating gyoza, and while their dumpling looks like it, the sauce takes it to a different level! There's also a good variety of appetizers that adds flavor and life to your usual sam gyup sal.
Small restaurant near the rotunda in Tomas Morato. Their grilled meats are very good, very tender. We have tried a couple of their soups - the spicy seafood noodle soup and the spicy beef soup. Both were extremely spicy so be warned. The noodles in the seafood soup was good - very QQ! - and both soups had a lot of "sahog".
The servings are big and perfect for sharing. They give you free soybean soup when you order grilled meat so sulit!
The service is very good and very fast. Their staff is very attentive and they can cook the meat for you.
I did not like their jap chae as it was dry and a bit bland. Their dumpling soup was okay. Next time I will try their unlimited shabu-shabu.
I will definitely come back.
