I love their yang chow. Their salt and pepper spareribs are good too. Interior is just too cute! Service is excellent, staffs are nice and courteous. Definitely, I will come back.
Dining at Tao Yuan involves eating delicious food in a pleasant and inspiring setting. The name Tao Yuan which means peach garden suggests beauty and colors. Located at Chimes Square in Congressional Avenue Extension, my lola and I decided to have a belated birthday dinner for my ninong at Tao Yuan. The restaurant wasn’t that big and the tables on the first floor were easily filled. But the courteous staff informed us that there are more tables on the second floor. With their assistance, it was easier for my grandmother to take the stairs.
Dropped by the restaurant for a quick lunch. The place is lovely however too small. It could have been a perfect place for baby showers, baptismal and birthdays.
Food service was prompt. Ordered a Pork Spareribs (it was recommended) but fall short on taste. I was given a complimentary fish crackers.
Server was very nice and was kind enough to provide information on their food and services. Hope to find a restaurant like this that would accommodate around 50 pax. :)
While we were waiting for the food stalls at Box Park, we stayed at Chimes Square to pass the time. We chanced upon this restaurant - since I love cute interiors, we decided to eat here. Was surprised to learn that it's a Chinese restaurant and they're affiliated with the Peach Blossom restaurant along North Avenue. Place is small - seats are available upstairs. I think it can only accommodate around 20-30 persons and they can also cater for events like birthdays etc.
Since we were just waiting for Box Park to open, we just ordered something light - steamed dumplings and spinach dumplings. Our order took some time before it was served- they made it on the spot. Taste was good but not the best dumplings I've ever tasted. But they're very affordable.
After eating at Box Park, we came back here and ordered some dumplings to take home for our mom. I think the staff were happy to see us again - they even gave us complimentary food (fish crackers) to munch on while we wait for our order.
I'd say they're a lot better than their Matriarch resto which is Peach Blossoms along North Avenue which used to offer good Chinese food some decades ago. They're a neighborhood option, so I'm good with Tao Yuan. :)
Tao Yuan by New Peach Blossoms is not your typical Chinese Restaurant. Normally when you picture a Chinese restaurant, it has..red walls.. gold linens... but this restaurant's wall are in baby blue.. baby pink and all that shabby chic look! It's really nice and cute!
Their pancit is one of the best! It's really delicious. Also their fried chicken! I like it better without the sweet and sour sauce. But theres one thing that stucked in my head every time Tao Yuan comes around, their Malunggay Shake. It's so delicious and very healthy too!!!
