Wow, I think I REALLY liked Barcino. Its ok to dine here occasionally if you want to destress or catch up with a friend/ family.
I celebrated my birthday here at Barcino Vertis North. However, we had a little inconvenience with regards to our booking. The food compensate the inconvenience and our tummy was so satisfied. We love the paella de chorizo y pollo, everything is in there. If its our only order we are fully satisfied, the seasoning is just right, the amount of rice is perfect, the meat and veggies has the perfect yield. It also compliments with the paradilla de carne. The meat was cooked perfectly. I also like to give a shout out to the waiters who helped me choose the perfect wine for my food because im not really into wines. We will go back again and we look forward to enjoy a sumptuous dinner with Barcino.
It’s been 4 years since I last had drinks at Barcino. Glad my friends were up for some wine & cheese. We ended up getting some at their newest branch at Vertis North.
We ordered a cheese platter and 4 different types of wine (ranging from 7% - 14% alcohol). We were quite happy with what the staff recommended, as what we tasted were pricey yet great-tasting vino.

First thing I tried when I arrived was the gambas. Paella mixta I was served with for rice didn’t do the shrimps any justice. Maybe it was not tasty compared to their paella negra but the chicken in the paella mixta was good though I would’ve preferred hot steamed rice for the gambas! The oil is exquisite, makes me shiver. I had the hardest steak for my dinner before I went here so I thought I would’ve just starved where I came from to come to eat their tenderloin cubes. I’m certain it isn’t salpicao because there was no salpicao taste so I should’ve saved some room to scoff some more of those leftover steak. Their sangria though may not be the best but it’s something I would drink again. I still love love love your moscato. The chorizo iberico fits any wine drink. There is no evidence of being preserved. It was really fresh for an appetizer. I hope they make pasta with it.
Such a great place to gather with friends and share new stories. The ambience however is too small so it gets too crowded and noisy unlike in Uptown Parade BGC area, the place is still classy even when it gets way too many customers. The best about the gathering was the drinks. We availed the 2+2 on drinks (zomato gold) and it was worth it. The sangria drink was amazing, but I have to say... The gin tonic was fantastic! We are definitely going back here.
The Barcino brand continues to expand its operations all over the city. They are now close to having 20 locations in Metro Manila alone. Barcino has also cemented itself as the go-to for Spanish cuisine and wine.
If you find yourself in the north and looking for a chill place to drink, their Vertis Mall branch is open until midnight. My friends and I got here late and got our fill of Paella and drinks.
I highly recommend the Paella Con Chorizo Y Pollo for its tasty finish. It’s all in one dish of quality round rice and toppings. Go ahead and pair this with any of their many Spanish wines or Sangria.
Barcino has been one of our favorite restaurants when dining with business partners. With its scrumptious food offerings and warm ambiance, our guests are sure to have a good lunch. And it being just a few blocks away from our office makes it the perfect option.

Barcino never fails! Service is fast, food is top-notch and best enjoyed with friends and family! Enjoyed the paella negra better than the (too) salty mixta. Tried 3 branches and quality is the same. Will not drive next time to enjoy the wine and the sangrias!
The food was pretty good if a bit on the pricey side. Go here mainly for the wine and ambiance. The beef tenderloin is moist, flavorful, and really tender. The cauliflower with bechamel is serviceable but nothing special. Loaded baked tomatoes are surprisingly good. It tastes like a really saucy lasagna sans the pasta sheets. The cheese platter is good but ultimately too pricey for what it is. It comes with chorizo, and two kinds of sausages. As for the cheeses, there are two kinds of manchego, a blue, a creamy white, and a goat cheese. Definitely becomes worth it for Zomato gold users.
We had our reservation just an hour before we came to the restaurant. Food was great! Sangria Tinto is a must try! Also the lengua that we ordered is so delicious! We will come back! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Been here a couple of times and each time the staff were attentive and helpful. Food was good but the serving size is a bit of a hit and miss. Their menu is quite extensive so you might feel overwhelmed upon ordering. They accept American Express.
Today is Ash Wednesday so our choices are limited and good thing there are a lot of choices in Barcino.
Paella is tasty and cooked just right, perfect.
We also had Gambas, rather giant gambas! Loads of garlic and oil, perfectly paired with their complimentary bread.
Grilled salmon is also delicious.

Great food and great service! All the food we ordered tasted good and were all served on a timely manner.... The only downside is that the restaurant space is small.
I used to frequent Barcino just for the drinks but found out that they have really great food as well. I love the Paella and the pork belly. It was such a good match with the lager! Apart from the food, the service was really great. It was past 1am when we realized that we were the only group left. Nobody hurried us and they've been accommodating to the last minute. Im coming back!
We really enjoyed our food. All four of us had Zomato Gold on our phones but we decided to unlock three times only because we were already full in our 4th dish.
My best choices are the Paella (with ox tail) and the Lengua.
I had difficulty ordering in Barcino because there were so many good options to choose from. In the end, I ordered Croquetas de Chorizo and Tortilla de Patatas (Spanish Omelette). Based on the pictures on their menu, I thought that these weren't enough for two people but ordered them anyway because we came here only for a light snack. Lo and behold, they were actually good for three people! Partly because they also served complimentary bread with crushed tomatoes.
The Tortilla de Patatas made use of simple ingredients but it was perfectly executed. I loved how moist and runny it was inside! I was definitely impressed.
The staff were extra nice and accommodating as well!
So far, Barcino offers the best customer service compared to all zomato gold partners that I visited. I did the table reservation with Zomato as well so imagine the convenience! I booked for an 8:30pm rez on a friday night but because of the friday traffic madness, I had to rebook it to 9:00pm... very hassle free! And it took me only seconds :)
We arrived there on time and they already prepared the table for us. We ordered Pollo Al Ajillo and Arroz Montanez and they taste authentically Spanish. They also have a very wide variety of wines to choose from so it’s a perfect place for date nights.
The place was packed but the overall ambiance was apt for a date.
We ordered the pasta something something Con Gabas. it was really good, the sauce was really subtle yet flavorful and the shrimp was really juicy! 🍤🍤🍤

Ended up here for our Valentine’s date with my boyfriend. Although it was a Friday night, we were able to get a table immediately. Interior is very nice and gives you an elegant dining experience. Though the couch was too low for the table.
We didn’t wait too long for the food to arrive. We ordered paella de gallina y cerdo, lengua estofada con patatas, and sangria tinto. All were good for sharing. Honestly, my boyfriend thought he wouldn’t be filled up, considering he’s a heavy eater, but he was so full at the end of our meal. He said he liked the potatoes the most haha! I like the lengua which were very soft and flavorful.
The staff were very accomodating and attentive. Though when we asked for the bill, the 1+1 from zomato gold wasn’t deducted yet, so we have to ask the waiter again. The price for the food is fair.
My family always loved eating in Barcino which why this place never disappoints. Service is great and the food arrived faster than we initially thought because it was a Sunday night. All of the things we ate (Paella with Chicken and Chorizo, my personal favorite lengua and potato squid dish) were all greatly accompanied with a bottle of white moscato (which costed around 700, sulit in my opinion!). Yes, the food is more on the pricer side but the experience that comes with it is always worth it. Cheers to this branch!
The place is cozy. The food is nicely presented. Some of the best offerings are Salmon Fresco A La Brasa, Almejas A La Bilbaina, Chipirones Encebollados. A must try!

First time dining at this branch and it was a very pleasant experience. We were a big group of 10. I called for reservation and nice to know that they accept even on weekends (we dined Saturday evening). The space is just right (not as big as Ayala 30th but not as small as Power Plant Mall’s branch).
We only paid for 4 out of the 9 dishes we ordered! Why? Four of us had the Zomato Gold app and so we unlocked it 4 times to avail of 4 complimentary dishes. (You can use my code RIALIT to get 20% off the annual membership fee so just pay ₱560 instead of ₱700).
The food in Barcino is always good especially if you stick to your faves. On this visit though, we skipped the Gambas because it really is expensive at ₱790+ for 5 pieces and if you’re a group of 10 bitin naman to eat just 1 piece so we opted to get other dishes instead. But for a small group or date and esp if you’ve got Zomato Gold, sulit to order the Gambas and pair with a Paella because it really is the best Gambas for me with loadssss of toasted garlic that you can top with the bread or paella.

Our server Mike was also very familiar with the Zomato Gold promo and was very efficient too. All other servers (mostly female) who also assisted during our visit were attentive and pleasant.
But even if you don’t have Zomato Gold, I still recommend Barcino if you’re craving esp for Paella and Gambas. If you drink, they have a wide selection of wine and they serve Sangria too.
P.S. Everyone went straight to eating so I wasn’t able to take photos of everything.
I went to Barcino for my birthday lunch last week. I love the place because it doesn't have many people in it. The ambiance is good too. I love the warm interiors and the wine rack decor.
Our family said graces and the waiter is kind enough to wait for us to finish praying before setting down our first order: croquetas. We ate it with the complimentary bread and it was delightful and light. After that the salad came. I forgot what the order was called, I just remembered it had this huge ice cream-sized scoop of cheese that we have mistook for mash potato. Next that came was the chicken dish, which... I also forgot the name. It tasted like adobo though. Finally the Paella de Rabo de Toro came on our table. I ate the asparagus first and then the ox tail and then the rest of the rice.
The servings were hefty that we took out the rest of the food we weren't able to finish. I would say that my birthday there was one for the books.
Paella is okay. Been here two times and also ordered paella the first time but that wasn’t great as well. But this pasta is heaven!! 💓
Service could be improved though I can see they’re trying their best. Nonetheless, I shall return to try the other stuff!

It’s a wonderful place to just sit back and enjoy delicious food and fun drinks. The ambiance and music are perfect for the chill Spanish vibe. Most importantly the service was professional and excellent all around.

Their wine selection — easily sorted depending on your mood and preference. The staff is also knowledgeable on the menu, can easily recommend pairings top of mind. Very attentive and accommodating as well. Barcino also has a very wide price range depending on your budget for both drinks and food.
Like the churros especially the dip which is thin and kind of melts in your mouth. It also just the right amount of sweetness.
Downside is that it’s a little smaller than other branches, we had no reservation and got seated near the counter which made it difficult to talk as freely had it been a better spot.

Whenever I dine here, I always order Paella Negra. Really good and goes well with Gambas. The only negative thing about this branch is the small space which can be very noisy when resto is full.

A wine for a dinner is much more special with Spanish type dishes served on the table. With the offer of Zomato Gold user of 1+1 on food, we were able to settle one pasta dish and tapas. However the lack of anything to tickle our tastebuds with the Bolognese Pasta, condiments are requested to join the latter experience. Gambas in Spicy oil has spiced up prawns and added the crunchiness with the great help of cooked garlic bits. It went worty with the experience of a pitcher of Sangria wine. It went fine as it cleansed our palate with sweet offer of this type of wine cocktail.
The Tapas are great! Paella is super delicious and their calamaris too are also good. Serves Pasta, and i love the creamy white sauce. Their Sangria is also one of the best Ive tasted. A bit pricey but the place is really nice.
The food here is good. Mostly tomato based. The drinks are just ok. Plating is amazing.
I always get their stuffed pepper. It never fails. The drink I got was just meh and was not properly stirred.
It was awesome. I called the restaurant to make a reservation since most of the time, its a lot of people. Their waiters are really accommodating. They kept smiling and asking if we need anything. Anyway, we had paella, chorizo, croquettes and squid. Forgot the names. Anyway, everything is so good. I also had Sangria. It is the best Sangria I’ve ever tasted.
I am a big Barcino fan. I really love their Sangrias, red or white. It’s always perfect, never too acidic, it’s got the right kick everytime, and it’s really good. But these potatoes with mayo and chili in a skillet tho amplifies that experience you long after a long day.
I mean you don’t go to Barcino to bust your belly. But their food is equally good as their wine and liquor collection.
If loving Spanish food, then this is the place to be. They offer reasonable selections and variety.. and the ambience is quite nice for get togethers, catching ups, or simply just wanted to wine out the night! 👍🏼
Its quite expensive here pero casual dining lang naman. The food is fine, not that spectacular. Ang nagustuhan ko yung fried rice na may chorizo. Nakalimutan ko na yung mga inorder namin kase ang hirap ng mga name sa menu.
Decided to have some tapas and sangria after watching a movie. Of course, it had to be at Barcino. Staff were attentive and nice. We had jamon serrano and chorizo picante which were so good. The red sangria was mixed just right. Space is bigger and more comfortable than the one at Greenbelt2.
I love spanish food and I enjoyed eating at this place. Love the authentic spanish flavors! Many of their dishes are for sharing - so bring your family and friends!

Everytime we're out and think of food, it has become our habit to know what's new from where we are (unless we have this particular craving, OR we already tried everything within the area). That time we decided to dine in at Barcino, I remembered thinking twice about it because the price of our food matters BUT we sat down anyway LOL my sister likes paella so why not try the "new" one.
Personally, our dine in was worth it. After placing our orders, we were served with complimentary baguette w/ olive oil, salt and tomato ensalada on the side as an appetizer. Enough to keep us busy while waiting for our meal.
I was actually surprised when the food was served. Both were more than enough to fill two hungry tummies! So we decided to take home half the pan of the paella. Spaguettis a la Marinera - tasty and served with more clams than I usually expect; however, the pasta itself was thick and soggy. I like my pasta better when they're rightly cooked hmm... ones that aren't too soggy. For the paella, I'm not sure what variant we had - my sister was totally in charge of picking one, and I'm not really a fan. It's simple, tasty, but oily (I don't really know what to expect from paellas LOL). What I personally liked about the paella was the toasted part! I literally scraped off some from the pan! I liked the feeling of munching on its crispiness (I'm aware it's kind of an unhealthy habit but 😋😂!)
The restaurant gives off the wine cellar feeling - brown and warm. Furthermore, I get the feeling that it's a good place for dating, OR probably a semi-formal dining with the fam? 🤔
I like barcino’s ambiance- slick old and classy. My personal faves include paella negra, chorizo platter and their callos is just divine. Its not only a resto for me but a place where you can chill and lounge while having a good convo with friends.
Barcino is one of my fave chill place. Ordered croquetas setas but wished i ordered croquetas pollo y jamon instead. Also got chorizo picante fritos, which should have been their spicy chorizo but for some reason i didnt find it so spicy. The cheese platter and jamon serrano is always a safe choice when i drink wine.

One of the few places that just opened in the new Ayala Malls Vertis North in QC. Thank goodness there is now a nice Spanish restaurant in the area. What a refreshing break from the usual restaurants in the area.
Try their tapas—we love the chorizo croquetas, the murcilla (blood sausage) and the cheese platter with jamon. These are all perfect wine pairs!
For early dinner, we ordered Ensalada Les Rambles, Coca de Sardinas, Arroz Montanes, and Churros for dessert. Food tasted very good and well plated. The Sardinas was topped generously and so was the Salad. You won't feel short-changed. The Churros was a bit undercooked in the middle. As you can see that it is not golden brown. Service was very good. Server was knowledgeable and attentive. We were only 2 to dine, but the servings can feed 3. Price is average. You have to ask for the Official Receipt.

Barcino your friendly neighbor wine and tapa place have open its latest branch in Vertis North with this they have also introduce some awesome new dishes. On this event we get to try out some old time favorite and some of the new dishes that will surely be a favorite.
Here are some of the dishes that I really enjoyed.
🍷Coca de Sardinas - its a pizza like dish in a spanish way. This is a perfect starter that will surely fire up your meal.
🍷Mejillones Tigre Rellenos - one of my fave. Mussels with delicious cheese and bechamel fillings. This is a must try!
🍷Croquetas Jamon Y Pollo - This one is addicting! This bite size croquetas is like a specialize version of your chicken and ham corquetas.
🍷Salpicon de Pulpo Y Gambas - another fave of mine this squid ala salsa is another addicting dish that I can't resist. A perfect pulutan for me.
🍷Paella Negra - hands down one of the best paella in Manila. Simple looking not overwhelmed by toppings but once you've tasted the explosion of flavor was speechless!
🍷Callos ala Madrilena - a big fan of callos and Barcino did it perfectly. The tomato sauce got a balance flavor while the callos meat was tender good.
Overall Barcino continue to keep a high standard on its wine and food!

While many people associate Barcino with wine and cheese, this restaurant actually offers a good variety of authentic Spanish dishes that will surely please your taste buds.
With its cozy space and undeniably good food, Barcino promises a unique dining experience that will transport you to the gorgeous city of Barcelona.
For starters, we were able to try their Coca de Sardinas, which is a flatbread topped with Spanish sardines and roasted vegetables, drizzled with olive oil and sriracha. It's very much like a pizza but light enough to be considered as an appetizer. Perfect when paired with a cold glass of draft beer.
One of my personal favorites during our visit would definitely be the Croquettas Pollo Y Jamon. These croquettes are filled with cheese, Serrano ham, and chicken, all of which blends in perfectly creating a harmony of flavors that burst in your mouth.
Mejillones Tigre Rellenos is another dish that you can't miss. These are fried golden brown mussels with creamy bechamel oozing with cheesy goodness. While this is originally intended to be eaten as tapas, it's also a delicious pairing with Barcino's Paella.
Of course, the main dishes of the day were the paella. They served us with their best-selling Paella Negra -- just the way it's supposed to be. Cooked with Squid Ink and topped with squid rings and alioli, this dish is screaming with flavor and just hugs your tastebuds. It's not too strong that you'll get tired of it easily, but it's not too weak either that you don't taste anything at all. It just hits the right spot to make you happy and full.
They also served us one of their newest paella offerings, the Paella de Rabo de Toro, which is leaning more towards beef flavors. It's served with ox til beef stew, cooked in red wine and topped with grilled asparagus and beef slices. If you're a carnivore and loves meat, then this will hit you right on the spot. Don't forget to scrape the pan to get that crunchy and flavorful parts.
Don't forget to order their cheese and meat platter! They have a wide selection of wines that you can choose from (but of course).

Authentic Spanish cuisine with a menu that rolls off the tongue accented. Newly situated amidst the North, Barcino delivers recipes like you are in Spain.
For starters, we had the Coca de Sardinas. It's flat toasted bread, topped with Spanish sardines, olives, roasted vegetables, sriracha and olive oil. Come to think of it, it almost resembles pizza--but not quite.
The Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Carne are bell peppers with meat inside swimming in cheese and all its goodness. It's light and pushes down well with your choice of wine that they offer here.
Croquetas Pollo y Jamon is your usual croquettes made of cheese, chicken and ham. To me, it's like having bite-sized shepherd's pie within your finger tips just waiting to be doused into the dip it comes with.
The Huevos a la Flamenca is something you should try. It's a tomato and cheese-based dish hosting chorizo, ham, green peas in a small pot brimming with flavor.
Noteworthy was the Mejillones Tigre Rellenos. It's basically breaded deep-fried mussels with a bechamel filling that is lush with cheese and flavor. This one really takes the center of attention of what was served to us. I would say it pairs well with their Paella Negra that's full of flavor and is a delectable choice to the rice lovers out there.
Their Paella de Rabo de Toro redefines what paella is for me. Imagine an ox tail beef stew cooked in red wine to grace the presence of rice, asparagus, and spices--all melded in one giant pan served out to you. I even found myself scraping the dregs of the pan that had the chewier rice stuck to it. It's totally a must-try when you visit here.
If authentic Spanish cuisine paired with great ambiance is your feel, then Barcino would--or should--be at the top of your list. Perfect for not just the wine connoisseur, but also for the palate with a penchant for European recipes.
Finally a Barcino in the North! I had a sangria night here with my sisters and everything was good. Service and food were great. We had some tapas and the squid ink paella. Our favorite was the squid ink paella. Even when we took our leftovers home (it was a lot for 3 girls), it still tasted great the next day.

Barcino is known for their selection of wines that can surely give you a great time. Now they are showcasing their Spanish cuisine to be paired with their well-known wine selection.
The place is very cozy to dine in. Can hold big groups as well. It gives us a classic fine dining vibe that will make you really dress up to the occasion. The crew was very helpful and attentive as well.
The food can satisfy your cravings of Spanish cuisine. Here are some of the dishes that we tried out:
Mejillones Tigre Rellenos (295.00 php)
Fried golden brown mussels with creamy bechamel filling. The filling is very flavorful. Best when served hot.
Croquetas Pollo y Jamon (305.00 php)
Croquettes with chicken and Serrano ham filling. One of their best sellers. Very addicting.
Paella de Rabo de Toro (795.00 php)
The usual paella is made with seafoods. This is the first beef paella that I've ever tried and it's really good. Ox Tail beef stew cooked in red wine then topped of with asparagus. Beef was tender and the entire dish was very flavorful indeed.
Paella Negra (580.00 php)
The main star of Barcino. Cooked with squid ink and topped of with squid rings and aioli. The smell is not too fishy and the squid rings were tender. Highly recommendable to diners,
Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Carne (325.00 php)
Piquillo red bell peppers stuffed with ground beef, stuffed with bechamel sauce and grated cheese. One of the newest items that I surely enjoyed. A great pair with your paella.
It was quite an experience dining in here in Barcino. If you want to go for a wine night with that special person or introduce somebody to Spanish cuisine, then consider Barcino as one of your options. Great food and great service indeed.
I just tried the cheese platter and a glass of red wine and I enjoyed both. The chorizos were good. I would have wanted more blue cheese in the platter, and more grapes. The red wine went well with the platter.
Barcino in Vertis North is inside the mall but it’s other side opens to an al fresco area. There’s no smoking in the whole mall so if you want to take in fresh air and people-watch, you may want to be seated in the open area. The place has it’s own restroom so you don’t need to go to the mall restroom.
The place serves Spanish dishes. If you could ignore the mall lights, interiors are good for cozy dining, cocktails and drinks. They close at 12 midnight but last call is at 11 p.m. I’m excited to try more of Barcino.

After a long day of work, nothing can be more satisfying than to see yourself nibbling on cheese and cracker while enjoying your favorite wine. Barcino may just be the right place - its rustic and cozy interior complement the whole dining experience. But this restaurant offers more than just a wine fix so get yourself surprised because it may suit your craving for some drooling Spanish cuisine.
On its soft opening in Vertis North, our team exclusively had the chance to taste some of the new dishes in the menu the day before it got released. Needless to say, cravings satisfied.
We went for the standard course starting with a series of tapas paired with beer and Sangria. Coca de Sardinas is memorable but our heart for the starter goes to Croquetas Jamon y Pollos and Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Carne! We enjoyed everything as we went through with the course but the biggest surprise was the main dish. I couldn’t tell much but I have to say that my love for paellas was redeemed. Two were served but the Paella Negra deserves the loudest shout out. Concluding the course was Crema Catalena fit for caramel custard lovers out there.

When people usually see Barcino, first thing comes to mind is wine...probably some tapas and cheese to go with it as well. But what you might not know is that they serve a whole lot of specialty dishes especially to Spanish food fanatics. Now, they are introducing 18 new dishes for you to nib on while gulping their lovely beverages.
The Barcino Vertis North has an airy atmosphere and light comes in perfetcly, highlighting their gorgeous setup and lovely interiors. Their staff are highly accommodating. What makes Barcino special are probably their dishes; from tapas to desserts.
For their starters or tapas, they have Coca de Sardinas, Mejillones Tigre Rellenos, and Croquetas Jamon y Pollo. Each tapa has its own twist and flavor to it which makes it special. Then after it comes the Salads. If you don’t love veggies, then this might be the perfect salad for you. The Salpicon de Pulpo y Gambas fits every foodie’s taste, and simply perfect. Mejillones de Pipirrana on the other hand is good enough just before eating the main course.
Even though there are a lot of paellas out there, Barcino’s Paella Negra is one of the best out there. There’s nothing much going on with this dish but its flavor is so rich that will make you wanting for more. Other main dishes Paella de Rabo de Toro, Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Carne, and Callos a la Madrilena, are all on par with Paella Negra. It’s just wonderful to have tried these spanish dishes. Last comes the dessert, the Crema Catalana. Just the right finish to a savory-filled meals.
Everything may come in as pricey, but they are all worth trying. Nothing beats quality dishes!
