We were on the 9th day of the lockdown when Mom decided to have fried chicken. And it had to be Max’s. Being unquestionably obedient (and a hungry-for-restaurant-food-boy at the same time) I immediately dressed up, put on a facial mask and proceeded to this branch.
I placed my order (only take out was allowed) of a whole chicken to the male attendant at the other side of thick plastic hanging from the ceiling (the place looked like a setting of a Hollywood movie). After less than five minutes, my chicken came out of the kitchen and I went home to enjoy a classic comfort food with dear Mom.
Still a classic!👍🏻
We had dinner as a family at the nearby Max's restaurant. No one is in the mood to cook after a very busy and tiring holiday season!😂 This restaurant was full of people during our visit-- apparently everyone is feeling the fatigue! Thankfully, we did not have to wait long to be seated...
We ordered the group meal c, which had a version for 5 pax. This included shrimps, pinakbet, boneless bangus, kaldereta, kare-kare, buko pandan, and last but not the least, their fried chicken... The bangus was a hit with my husband... Good for more than 5 people, but we were famished anyway. We actually ordered additional caramel bars-- still really good and one of my favorite treats!
Service was efficient. Parking available. No pics of the chicken because it was decimated quick...😂
The ambience is good. Cozy Max's Restaurant in Commonwealth-Fairview area. The attending staff are very courteous and assisting as well as polite. 👍🏻
