i asked for medium rare steak they gave me medium well expected more..
Was not expecting too much from their steaks because we just went here due to the proximity to our home and we’re just craving for meat.
This restaurant exceeded our expectations and the price is very reasonable and I can even say it’s cheaper than the other establishments which offer the same quality of steaks. The medium cook for our orders are on point and their sides are surprisingly delicious.
Service was excellent. Servers are friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon and will recommend it to family and friends.
Had the USD Tenderloin Defatted 189A. Three things to mention:
- Three items from their steak menu were not available considering it's a payday weekend, they should have at least prepared for that
- I asked the steak to be cooked in medium, the steak came in medium well so it was a little dry. Good thing I had tenderloin, it was still soft to the chew
- It took quite a long time before my food arrived
Despite the above, I honestly had an enjoyable and filling meal. The steak was seasoned right. The servers albeit understaffed, were very polite. Interiors are also very pleasing to the eyes.
Will come back definitely!
We love the steak we ordered medium with mushroom sauce and mac cheese for the side with steak rice but i dont recommend it with steak not really a good combination.
Delicious steak. Delicious steak fried rice. Delicious mac and cheese. Pricey, but at least you get reliably good steak. I like the steak even without the sauce or added seasoning. Perfect.
It was our anniversary and we wanted it to be special. Good thing we chose this steak house for our dinner. Luckily, we had the resto all by ourselves. The interior was nice. Industrial looking and neat. We ordered their rib eye and argentine platter for 1,800 net. This was worth it. The platter comes with steak which were good for two, two kinds of sauces, three side dishes, soup of the day for two and two iced teas. The steak was good, really tender. As for the side dishes, the roasted veggies, mac n cheese and the steak rice were also good. The soup was delicious. We also ordered the german chocolate cake for dessert, it was fine. Great staff. Another satisfied tummy!😊
My fiancé and I went here for my birthday. We love the steak so much! We each had the Angus Prime Rib Eye cooked medium well. Fiancé had steak rice for his side dish and garlic sauce on the side. I had mac and cheese and garlic sauce as well for my steak. Overall, we love the seasoning and plus points because it was grilled instead of seared! We love the grilled flavor! For the mac and cheese, it was really good. Creamy and cheesy but not overpowering. The steak rice was a win too for the fiancé! He was raving about it nonstop even after we left the establishment. We also ordered onion rings which was your usual onion rings. Nothing special, but fiancé loves onion rings. Since it was my birthday, we also ordered the german chocolate cake. My fiancé asked for a lit candle to go with the cake which the staff happily provided. When I asked for the bill, I was surprised that they asked for my id so that the cake will be a complimentary birthday cake! Yay! Overall, we are so happy with the service and the food. We’re already talking about our next visit!❤️
We ordered the rib eye and Argentine platter which is actually pretty good. It comes with 2 perfectly grilled steak, 2 soup of the day, 2 iced tea, 3 side dishes, and 2 sauce. And it’s pretty cheap as well! It’s only php1850 nett.
It was their first anniversary when I visited Johnny's Steak and Grill. Tried dropping by thrice, always on a Sunday, and only then I knew they're closed every Sunday.😂 I ordered their anniversary set, an appetizer, steak and cake dessert at Php 1,200 if I recalled it right. It was "sulit" since the steak portion was big. And also I love their ambience, simple and clean. The staff were really nice explaining the menu choices for steak ignorants like us, lol! And what I loved most? They have even given me a souvenir apron.
🏖 AMBIENCE:
Located beneath B Hotel Q.C., I love the simplicity of Johnny’s interior. Color scheme is not imposing because most of the color used is mostly black. Industrial look.
🍽 FOOD & 🍹DRINKS:
Angus Steaks that were served to us were:
Cab Upper Choice Porterhouse Steak (280g) - P1,750.00
Lamb Rack Cap - P1,300.00
U.S. Beef Rib-Eye - P980.00
U.S. Beef Rib Steak - P980.00
Prime Rib Eye (220g) - 1,300.00
What caught my attention was the Lamb Rack Steak with it’s really tasty juicy meat and fat. It is also the favorite of the majority of the bloggers who were with me.’
You can pair the steaks with different side dishes like
Roasted Vegetables
Mashed Potatoes
Cajun Fries
Truffle Fries
Steak Rice
Mac & Cheese (Which is the favorite of the bloggers)
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to taste any since ubos na sila paglingon ko. Haha! :D
You can also order their Healthy Drinks
Ampalaya Juice: It doesn’t taste like ampalaya! Hoooray!!! Hahahahahahaha! :D
Tomato Honey: Loved the taste. I can imagine that it taste like potato chips
Apple Radish: It does have a certain radish smell that one must be ready. Haha! :D After getting past the smell, you would be able to enjoy it. :D
Carrot Ginger: Spicy flavor yet sweet. Love it! :)
💆♂️ SERVICE:
Their service crew are very attentive and welcoming. :)
🚳 PARKING:
Limited Parking Slot available outside. You can ask the guard if you can park within the B Hotel’s parking slots.
🌏 OVERALL:
Enjoyed the experience. I highly suggest that they make smaller serving to make the steak affordable especially for the price point within the area.
Place is quite small, good room temperature, nice lighting with simple interior. Servers are very warm and so much accommodating. Comfort room is well-maintained.
Food:
*USDA Ribeye 109d - too bad CAB ribeye was not available at the time we dined here, so we went for this steak. Tastewise it doesn't disappoint. But when it comes to texture, it's quite chewy and quite tough. Cooked in medium temperature and the texture is still quite unlikable.
*Mac and cheese - this side dish was a hit! Certainly a must order side dish. Cheesy and delish! ❤
*Porterhouse - unlike the usda ribeye 109d, this steak is very tender! You wouldn't need a knife to dig in to this steak. Tasty and tender, what more can get better than this?
*Steak rice - this side dish is a downer. We pretty felt like the taste is very similar to a rice in a box. Rice is quite mushy. Can't say that this is a must try. ✌
Will we come back for more of their steak? Big YES! Will come back for their CAB ribeye.
*Note: they charge for vat and service charge
Meat-lovers unite! There’s a steakhouse in QC vying for a place among the big-ticket steakhouse sweepstakes and it is ready to satisfy your carnivore cravings: Johnny's Steak and Grill. Situated at the ground floor of B Hotel QC’s ground floor. Well, for one, B Hotel QC is a member of the Bellevue group of hotels so food and beverage is nothing new to them.
Located at the ground floor of B Hotel in Q.C., Johnny’s Steak and Grill offers great cuts of meat, along with sides that can provide a great dining experience for the residents of the north, as well as guys around the area.
Inside is a well lit area with some old school memorabilia of an American diner. It also has an open kitchen that people can see though the glass panes, gazing through the magic that happens in the kitchen.
As for the steaks, here's what we have tried out:
Prime Rib Eye (220g for 1,300.00 php)
Cab Upper Choice Porterhouse Steak (280g for 1,750.00 php)
U.S. Beef Rib-Eye (980.00 php)
U.S. Beef Rib Steak (980.00 php)
Lamb Rack Cap (1,300.00 php)
The great thing about their menu is that they explained there on how can you have your steak prepared. A very good aid for people who are not that well-versed with steaks. They have four sauces to choose from. We got shallot and red wine, peppercorn, mushroom, and garlic sauces to pair our steaks with. We also had a number of sides to try as well:
Mac & Cheese (100.00 php)
Steak Rice (100.00 php)
Mashed Potato (80.00 php)
Truffle Fries (80.00 php)
Cajun Fries (80.00 php)
Onion Rings (80.00 php)
Roasted Vegetables (80.00 php)
The Mac & Cheese is something really good to try out. Mashed potatoes are really creamy and the rice was really tasty. It was a good lineup of sides that you can mix and match with your steaks.
They also have some really good fresh juices and desserts as well. They are not the usual drinks that you see in restos but still definitely worth a shot. I suggest for you guys to try out the Carrot Ginger as it was a hands down fave of the group.
And yeah, how can I forget the awesome desserts! I suggest for you guys to grab that Oreo Cheesecake and that Red Velvet Cake to top off your meal of the day.
All in all, it was a great dining experience and I am looking forward to be back with my date here. A nice chill place to be along with good food shall make it a day.
B Hotels is part of the Bellevue hotel chains in the Philippines. My sisters and I stayed there before as they offer promos and discount for their rooms. We wanted to try this out back then but at that time they were closed, they are only open Tuesday to Sunday. Johnny’s Steak and Grill offers premium selections for steak cuts for customers to choose and they can also buy their meat products too which is also readily (frozen) available in the restaurant.
Opened in June 2016, Johnny’s Steak and Grill is one of the few steakhouses in QC that serves high-quality delicious steak dishes paired with equally scrumptious sides. Located just outside of B Hotel, Johnny’s is owned and managed by Ryan Chan, who named the joint after his steak-loving, motorcycle enthusiast dad Chairman Johnny Chan. This comfortable chophouse exudes an industrial theme decor with a bit of biker style, much like its next door hotel owned by the same family. [Read More]
I'm not a steak person but if we're talking about Johnny's Steak and Grill, i'll be willing to eat here anytime! It's not just because their foods are great but also they're not too pricey compare to the quality of steaks that they serve.
I and my friends dined here for the first time. We traveled from Las Piñas to Quezon City just to try their steak, and i can say that, it's worth the travel and traffic. We started our meal with their soup. It was served steaming hot which a quality soup must really be. It was rich and tasty enough for my friends to forget that they ate already. For the steak, my friends ordered their steak platter which is good for 3-4 persons. It comes with three side dishes and two sauces of our choice, they had cajun fries, mac n cheese and steak rice. I liked steak rice the most. it's a must try! As for me I ordered their US beef ribeye bone in. We purposedly choose medium well doneness to see how long it would take for them to serve our orders. We were not disappointed cause it didn't took long. Their steak was mouthwatering and savory. It was cooked just right with the doneness that we asked. It's like it was made from heaven. As for the sauces, we had peppercon and garlic sauce. They complemented steaks very well, peppercorn especially (for me). To end our meal we tried their red velvet and strawberry shortcake and we weren't wrong for choosing them.

SinoPinas Eats Johnny's Steak and Grill
Folks around Timog Avenue has a new steak and grill spot! Located at the ground floor of B Hotel in Quezon City, the restaurant is cozy for small and big groups. The staff are accommodating and they've got fast Wi-fi for all the social media hippies.
.
Among the steaks, the Lamb Rack (P1260 for 350g, P970 for 300g) and the Prime Rib Eye (P1100 for 220g) are a standout. They are tender and flavorful. They're good on their own but the sauces are also palatable. The garlic sauce is a standout. The sides are also great but the Mashed Potato (P80 for a small bowl) which is so smooth and creamy and the Mac and Cheese (P100 for a small bowl) which is rich in cheese and natural spices are both a favorite. The steak rice has a generous amount of beef and vegetable bits (P100 for a small bowl).
.
They're not just all grill and steak but they've all these healthy fresh juices with carrots, ginger, tomato, bitter gourd, and radish as base. My favorite is the carrot ginger but the tomato with honey and bitter gourd with honey are also amazing (P200 for 250 ml).
.
Most of all, they have great dessert. Favorites are the Belgian Chocolate Cake which is chocolatey and ultra moist and the German Chocolate Cake which is rich in nuts and chocolate. Their velvet cake is also moist and has sweet cream cheese great for the sweet teeth while the Oreo Cheesecake has the right complement of cheese and sweet icing with bits of oreo for texture.
My favorite steak house. i've been eating here frequently and it never disappoints me. Good location, warm atmosphere, good service and excellent quality of meat. The meat is beautifully textured that gives a hint of delicate smokiness on the outside but juicy pink within.
Great Juicy Steaks. Charbroiled to perfection.
Rib Eye is a must try.
The Wagyu is also a great value for money.
If you want a Tomahawk Steak, reserve it 2 days before.
Superb from the sauce to sides to the beverages all perfect.
We also had the option to customize the sauces according to your taste. We also have the opportunity to meet the chef who specializes in cooking steak! Overall we had the best dining experience!
There is something about the combination of meat and fire that makes in irresistible. At Johnny’s, their grilled steak makes this so. Aged just so, perfectly grilled medium (for me), season with just salt and pepper, this is one fine USDA steak without a very high price tag. My 280g porterhouse steak could easily feed 2 people - or maybe just one if you love your meats. My side was a really simple but good mac 'n cheese that was a good complement to the beef.
For starters, we had the smoked salmon salad which was fresh and was a great started to whet our tastebuds for the steak.
And the desserts were so divine! The red velvet cake was moist and creamy and had just a hint of cocoa like what a really good red velvet should be. The belgian chocolate cake had a surprise crunch I loved in its filling. The meal at Johnny's was really rich and indulgent. Two can share the steak, the sides are good and the dessert is a nice bookender to a wonderful meal.

Planning for a quick but awesome staycation? Well, B Hotel is a good place to start and recharge while enjoying their good food especially Johnny's Steak and Grill. Just seeing the name, you know what to order... steak. Man, the beef they used here are off the charts. For now, let's do a run-down that I had. For salad, I had the smoked salmon salad which you seldom see. I could've ordered the Caesar salad, but I want to prepare myself for the coming feast ahead of me. The smoked salmon has a nice color with strips of red and green apples together with the lettuce in a light coating of dressing. A perfect way to cleanse the palate.
Next would be the steak. I ordered the prime rib-eye steak and had it medium rare. At first I thought the serving would be just enough for me but I was wrong. The serving was indeed big maybe because the size of the plate was big too. As I cut the steak with my knife, the juice was there which kept the flavor inside. It is well-seasoned, as you can taste the thyme and rosemary on the outer portion of the meat. The have a variety of side dishes to choose from like corn, roasted veggies, steak rice, onion rings, and mac n' cheese. I had the mac n' cheese which was so good. It was rich and serving size is right for me. For dessert, I had a chocolate cake which has a generous size and ideal for sharing as well.

A heavy-hitter with a bang! Steaks are well-known for its impact on the appetite that go in somewhat rare and heavy--both on the tummy and on the pocket. Johnny's Steak and Grill delivers that oomph in every bite. I really did enjoy their Porterhouse Steak, as it was juicy and flavorful in every chunk I got my mouth on.
One thing to commend about them is the way they depict information on how the steaks are cooked (from rare to well done) that is very newbie-friendly. The Mac & Cheese was really good, that it complements well as a side dish. The Onion Rings, however, were a bit on the oily side and could use a revamp to how the breading is made; the truffle dip was a good adjunct to it though. The Salmon Salad was bliss, something you would want to order for starters with a healthier vibe.
Totally enjoyable were the desserts! Take heed that the cake slices they give out are already ubiquitous for one person, that it's best shared. Go for the Red Velvet, as it is by far one of the best ones I've had in any restaurant. The staff were really friendly and attentive, and also gave us that special treatment you rarely get outside. One thing to note is that all items are ala carte, but the steaks are served with one siding and choice of your steak sauce. Overall, it's a good steakhouse amidst the busy streets within Timog area that come at a price--but one that doesn't disappoint.
Kudos to Johnbunag for the great food styling during our visit.
Getting fit and working out is such an uphill battle. But if you get to eat steak for lunch, then who am I to say no?!
It was raining torrentially and I got stuck in the traffic at the same time but those are not even valid reasons for me to ditch a sumptuous lunch. Thanks to Johnny’s for feeding my restless appetite with such a bomb combination of Smoke Salmon Salad and CAB Upperchoice Porterhouse Steak. It was indeed worth the long drive.
The Smoke Salmon Salad was nothing but perfection especially for those who are weight conscious. Salad has never been more fun to eat. It was the perfect match of thin-sliced fresh Salmon and Arugula Salad.
The Upperchoice Porterhouse Steak came with Mac n’ Cheese and I couldn’t ask for a better side. The angus beef was cooked to medium rare and I can’t recall when was the last time I had one like this. All I can say is that it was so tender and flavorful that if felt heaven in every chew. It was served with their Mushroom Sauce and the only thing I regret is that I didn’t try it with the other choices such as their Shallot and Red Wine Sauce, Peppercorn Sauce, and Garlic Sauce. But these are just reasons for me to return!
And I finished with the super moist Red Velvet Cake! Each slice is inarguably sweet and tasty. It has that effect that will make you want more, even when your tummy says otherwise!
And need I mention that Johnny’s Steak and Grill is owned by bhotel. I passed by the lobby and my reaction was just W O W. It was simple yet really classy. It’s nice that they have the same touch in the restaurant. Next time I’ll probably try the hotel too!! 💯
I was lucky enough to be invited to a special lunch for bloggers at Johnny’s Steak and Grill organized by the people at B Hotel. Johnny’s Steak and Grill is a restaurant within the hotel that caters to walk-in diners and hotel guests (you can even get their food delivered to you room). As the name suggests, their bread and butter are their steaks ranging from Angus Beef, Wagyu, and Lamb. While their menu seems limited, it is actually designed so that people can enjoy top quality meat and pair it with dishes that further enhance the dining experience.
Even the way their restaurant is designed matches theme of their menu by creating a space that feels contemporary and a little rustic. I heard that each B Hotel has its own running theme and vibe and this location at Quezon City is inspired by the trendy industrialized SoHo aesthetic that’s all the rave these days. Bold colors, an open kitchen, exposed bricks, and industrial lighting truly create an atmosphere that feels cool, inviting and not contrived.
We had a 3 course meal starting with an appetizer salad of our choice. I went for the Organic Garden Green Salad because I’m trying to be more #PaHealthy (or just saving space for some steak.) The salad had lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onions, cucumber, parmesan shavings with a classic dressing on the side. The salad was alright, the veggies were fresh and felt like a really good way to start an indulgent meal. The dressing that i had was tangy and a little sweet which really complimented the different textures and flavors of the veggies.
My entree was their CAB (Certified Angus Beef) Prime Rib-Eye steak. A serving costs P1100 which is easily justifiable since it's considered as one of the best cuts of steak. The steak was huge and took over most of the wooden board it was served in. It had those diamond grill marks and tiny bits of herbs which made it even more appetizing just by looking at it. You can choose a side (or sides) that goes with your steak but it's another cost so your choice really counts. Before gorging on the steak, i was able to try three side dishes including their Onion Rings, Mac & Cheese, and their Steak rice. The steak rice was superb! It had bits of beef which added a lot of flavor and texture. It had a surprising oriental taste which reminded me of chahan or chinese fried rice and it's perfect for us Filipinos who can never go on a meal without rice. The Onion rings were crispy and the batter was seasoned just right, I’m not really fond of onion rings in general but this one was really well done and i’m sure kids will surely like it.The Mac and Cheese was a little underwhelming because it was a little dry it still had a nice creamy and cheesy flavor. I was able to hack this dish and redeem itself with a little experiment, i'll let you know further down.
The steak ah.. That steak!!! The slice of Rib Eye was grilled to a perfect medium rare and the crust was glistened from the delicious juices and oils. Cooking to that state allowed the meat to have a caramelized exterior, remain tender and moists, as well as release all its delicious juices. I also think that it's the most effective way to savor the true flavor of the meat as well as the delicious caramelized exterior. My knife easily cut through the tender steak and it was almost like it was evaporating in my mouth because it hardly had any resistance to chew. The outside had a nice smoky and peppery flavor while the inside was just pure beef heaven. What really makes Angus beef really special it's deep, meaty, flavor and the light handed use of seasonings allowed it to really come through. You can even take it to the next level by dipping it in their truffle mayo dip which added creaminess and a rich savory layer of flavor to their meat. Out of curiosity (or sheer boredom) i even added it to their Mac & Cheese and it took it to another dimension of ridiculously goodness!!! You can also opt to have it with their red wine gravy but i was underwhelmed at its lack of intense flavor and runniness. Yet it didn’t really affect the overall effect of this dish.
For dessert I had a slice of their Belgian Chocolate Cake, which was a brilliant choice in my behalf because it was reallllyyy good! This was basically a chocolate on chocolate on chocolate from the sponge cake which used imported Belgian chocolate in the dark chocolate sponge, in between each layer was a crisp sheet of lighter chocolate and they even added more chocolate shavings. The cake was sweet but that a slight bitterness from the dark chocolate while the wafer like layer beneath added a nice crunchy texture and a candy like sweetness. Really good!
I also tried the Mango Cake whose difference from the Chocolate cake wa slike day and night. This cake was light, airy, fruity, and creamy! Everyone surely loved it.
Overall, my experience at Johnny’s Steak and Grill was great. The ambiance was welcoming to our company and the service was really good. The personalization (we even had namecards!) was a nice touch of hospitality. For the price, the food is really worth splurging on and even worth the trip to the north! The food i had showed their attention to detail and desire to serve on the best quality dishes. If you’re staying at the B Hotel make sure to check out Johnny’s Steak and Grill because the food might convince you to stay a little longer!
B Hotel Quezon City is located at Scout Rallos, Laging Handa, Quezon City. The hotel is under the management of The Bellevue offering a very reasonable price.
THE PLACE
We went yesterday to B Hotel Quezon City to have lunch in Johnny's Steak and Grill. The place looks casual that blends with the interior of the hotel. We were greeted courteously by the staff and crew of Johnny's Steak and Grill when we enter the restaurant. The staff handed the menu after we seated.
THE FOOD
🐮Smoked Salmon Salad (Slice of Salmon served with Arugula Salad) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
"The salad was a good start. It's an appetite booster. And the flavor of the salmon complement with the arugula."
🐮Cab Prime Rib-eye, 220g (Dipped in Johnny's Steak and Grill marinade cooked to medium rare, served with garlic sauce and golden deep fried onion rings with truffle mayo dip on the side) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
"I like the flavor of the steak, it was seasoned well. And it was cooked to the doneness that I wanted. It blends well to the sides and sauces. Best paired with red wine."
🐮Red Velvet (A sweet and tangy cream cheese filling topped with cream cheese and quiant white chocolate) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
"OMG! Drools! I'm so addicted to this cake. Grabe lang the cream cheese! Sarap! Best paired with coffee."
THE SERVICE
The staff provided excellent service during our lunch yesterday... so supportive and attentive all the time. Keep it up!
Overall, Johnny's Steak and Grill served high quality, yet, affordable steak. The only thing I noticed... they need to have a better ventilation for grilling the steak. Though, I had a great experience dining at Johnny's Steak and Grill.

Johnny's Steak and Grill is B Hotel's very own restaurant. Located on the hotel's ground floor, the restaurant also carries the same industrial feel of the hotel with its minimal yet undeniably comfy interiors.
As its name suggests, the restaurant really prides itself with its delicious premium and quality steaks. During our visit, I was able to try three of their cuts (US Beef Steak, Cab Prime Rib-Eye, and Cab Porterhouse Steak), all of which are just tender and equally sumptuous.
The steaks are usually complemented with a selection of sauces. I personally liked the Shallot and Red Wine sauce as it accentuates the flavors of my meat in all the right places. But, if you prefer something else, you can always opt to choose from their other sauce selection (Peppercorn, Mushroom, or Garlic).
Each order comes in with a side. Mine came in with a cup of Steak Rice which was their take on the classic beef fried rice. If you want something lighter, you can also ask for a cup of mac and cheese or onion rings.
We were also served with a light salad before starting the meal. I ordered a Ceasar Salad which was a generous serving of fresh lettuce, drizzled with its light sauce, and sprinkled with crispy bacon bits. The chicken on the salad is a little bit salty for my taste but it goes well with the dressing and the croutons.
Of course, a meal will not be complete without the dessert. We were served with their own delicious creations -- the mango cake, the red velvet cake, and the Belgian chocolate cake. My personal favorite would definitely be the mango cake, with its light icing and perfectly incorporated mango flavors. The other cakes were delicious, too. The Belgian chocolate cake was moist and has that bittersweet flavor that perfectly captures the rich taste of Belgian chocolates, while the red velvet cake's cream cheese and white chocolate combo was nothing but heavenly. It's tangy but not strong, and the icing was kept light, giving you a chance to savor its flavors without feeling overwhelmed.

Johnny's Steak and Grill is located in the heart of Quezon City. This restaurant specifically can be found at the Ground floor of B Hotel, Scout Rallos Diliman, Quezon City.
As you enter the restaurant, you will be welcomed with a laidback atmosphere that'll surely have their customers enjoy their dining experience. The restaurants also boasts their open kitchen wherein customers can catch a glimpse of their sumptuous meal being prepared by the chefs.
Johnny's Steak and Grill specializes in premium steaks with a wide selection of US Certified Angus Beef, namely Prime Rib Eye, Porterhouse, T-Bone, Striploin and many more. The steaks are also paired with their 4 different signature sauces, the Shallot and Red Wine Sauce, Peppercorn, Mushroom and Garlic Sauce. The steaks also included sides which are Mac and Cheese, Truffle Fries and Onion Rings.
The meal I had was separated from three courses. First the appetizer then comes the main course and lastly the desserts. The appetizers were, Organic Garden Salad, Caesar, and Smoke Salmon.
My favorite would be the Organic Garden Green Salad. It comes with a mixed green lettuce, cucumber, tomato, carrot, parmesan cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette. The Caesar Salad also includes romaine lettuce drizzled with crispy bacon bits topped with herbs and croutons and lastly, the Smoke Salmon Salad comes with an Arugula salad.
The desserts also include Belgian Chocolate Cake, Mango Cake and Red Velvet Cake. I was given a list of orders to choose from. I chose the Organic Salad, CAB Prime Rib-Eye and Belgian Chocolate Cake.
The CAB Prime Rib-Eye Steak was done in Medium Rare which perfectly suites my taste. The meat is tender and juicy with just the right amount of fat. I did not have a hard time slicing the meat, because it was soft and chewy at the same time. Pairing the steak with the Peppercorn sauce gave my meal an extra flavor, you can really savor the taste of the pepper of the sauce which is a perfect combination for my steak. Deep Fried Onion Ring with Truffle Mayo Dip also gave a rich flavor to my meal. The Onion Ring was tasty and really crispy.
Right before we finished the meal, the desserts are being served by the staff which were prompt in serving the needs of the customers. I haven't just tried one, but three desserts. My personal favorite would be the Red Velvet Cake, the taste has a sweet tangy cream cheese filling and a white chocolate. The Mango Cake is filled with fresh mango sliced topped with mango and cream. And lastly, the Belgian Chocolate Cake is filled with imported sprinkles topped with ganache and chocolate sheet.
Definitely, I had a delightful experience with Johnny's Steak and Grill. Steak lovers out there should really come and dine on what the restaurant has to offer.

We were accomodated to our seat by a female staff and let us pick our orders. After few minutes, another staff approached us and asked if we already placed our orders. To our dismay, he told us that there's actually a promo available for that day. I think mgt should train their staff and always remind them of the promos and/or discounts of their steakhouse. Moving right along, here's the actual review of the food we had:
Ordered their Prime Ribeye steak while my girlfried tried their U.S Ribeye for 109d. They cooked my steak to my preference (medium rare) and they did not disappoint. The meat was good and flavorful; my only suggestion is that they at least cut the meat an inch thick as the meat is as thin as those "cheap" steaks.
Their 109d Ribeye has a lot more fat and somewhat on the salty side but has a better flavor than their prime rib.
We had our round table discussion here last night. The steak served was very delicious, I loved the herbed spices/seasoning they used for the flavors. At the same time the steak was tender, enjoyed it with the fried rice accompanying the plate. Presentation, serving size good. Overall all 2 thumbs up!
Steaks done Johnny's way is great. Love how my steak is done and the chef is sweet enough to go out of her way to talk to us. The place is really comfortable to have a quiet dinner at and the staff are all friendly.
Steak was good - juicy and tender, cooked perfectly. Sides weren't good. I just wish their cuts were thicker. A real steak has to be thick. I was willing to pay extra for a thicker cut but sadly, they didn't have that option because all their steaks were pre-cut already.
The entire place smelled like grilled steak. Ambiance was good and parking isn't a problem. This is a good place to have steak on emergency situations (I have "I deserve steak" days) but not if you're looking for the real deal.
Delicious and high-grade steaks at an affordable price! Great and low-key ambiance with modern design for those who want to hang out and enjoy their food.
During my visit, I got to try three of their steaks (Rib-Eye, Tenderloin, and Porterhouse Steak). In case you’re wondering though, the prices of the steaks range from Php660 (US Beef Rib Steak 280g) to Php4290 (CAB Upper Choice Rib Steak Tomhawk 850g).
But what I’d really like to focus on are the different sauces, sides, and desserts that Johnny's offers. For the sauces, they have four kinds: Peppercorn, Shallot and Red Wine, Mushroom and Garlic. Their Garlic sauce was my favorite because I thought it had the most flavor and I loved that it had garlic bits in it.
For the sides, we all enjoyed the steak rice. It is classic beef fried rice with onions, peas, and shaoxing wine. It kind of reminded me of Japanese kamameshi rice. The Mac and Cheese was great as well. It was a mix of both cheddar and parmesan cheese in creamy macaroni, so I loved that too.
We all deserve high quality steak at reasonable prices - and Johnny's Steak and Grill endeavors to provide it. It's hard to miss this place along Scout Rallos, as it's just to the left of the entrance to B Hotel Quezon City, which has been open only a few months.
There are a la carte items on the menu, which is on its first release and I expect will be revised and/or expanded, but it is for grill-to-order steaks, which come in various cuts and sizes, that I encourage you to visit them.
The restaurant has banquette seating as well as a large communal table in the center, and the steak grilling takes place in front of you, behind a glass enclosure. To the far right is a fridge with their frozen imported meat, which you can purchase for take home meals.
Zomato invited us to an amazing sampling of steak with a smattering of sidings and sauces, all of which were tasty and easy to match with what we ate - from truffle-scented fries, to mac and cheese, to roasted veggies, onion rings, and scrumptious steak rice made with bits of rendered steak fat. Is the steak rice healthy? Absolutely not - so reward yourself once and forget about it! :)
Those of us there were unanimous in our opinion: their Certified Angus Beef rib-eye steak was the runaway winner. It was tender and juicy, done just right at medium rare to medium, with crisped-up edges on the perfect little rind of fat hanging on the side.
My second favorite was their tenderloin (a "defatted" cut), which I usually don't enjoy because I rarely get it cooked to my liking. But Johnny's did it exactly how I feel it should be done, down to the right thickness of the steak loin. Their porterhouse came in at a very close third, very well cooked and tasty.
The steaks were all so good I hardly needed sauce, which is true when steak is of that quality. There are four to choose from; I suggest the garlic sauce.
Lamb is on the menu, if you aren't going to have steak. I've seen them marinade it. and they've been earmarked for a future visit.
This restaurant is still fairly low key and something of a secret. Book ahead, as it's not a big venue, just in case. Very good value for money.

In case ya'll didn't notice, I love me some steak. More than that though, I love me some affordable steaks, Blog posts abour restaurants with quality, affordable steaks are usually among my favorite things to share with my readers. Which is why I was ecstatic to write about Johnny's Steak and Grill, located at the ground floor of the posh B Hotel in Quezon City!
Came here for lunch with fellow foodies and had an awesome time. Compared to other high class steakhouses, this place not only provided top quality steaks but also made us feel right at home.
There's a great selection of meats here. If the standard cuts of beef aren't your thing, you can go with lamb (standard square cut chine & feather bone off or french cut cap on 8 ribs).
We sampled the Porterhouse, CAB Prime Rib-Eye, and U.S. Beef Tenderloin. They cooked the steak where it's slightly charred just a touch on the outside and medium on the inside, just the way I wanted it done! The Porterhouse had a great seared crust on the outside, and a good sized fat cap around the edge. The kitchen prepared this thing spot on to medium rare and was cooked perfectly.
My first bite of the Rib-Eye was so good. The piece was warm and soft and melted in my mouth like butter. The texture was amazing. It was slightly under-seasoned but still tasted good. They also had so many sauces to choose from, but in my opinion, this premium piece of meat is best enjoyed naked. The Tenderloin was cooked and presented perfectly. The steak was so very tender, however, I thought the steak itself could've used a bit more seasoning.
For the sides, I tried the roasted vegetables, mac and cheese, onion rings, and steak rice. There's no denying that the steak rice was the crowd's favourite. It's flavorful, filling, and perfectly-spiced. In fact, we actually finished two servings of steak rice, which almost never happens. The mac and cheese was nice and cheesy without being too heavy.
I never got to try their desserts but I heard the Truffle Chocolate Cake was pretty good. While the location is somewhat tucked away on Scout Rallos Street (Q.C.), the steaks are good and worth the trip. Looking forward to visiting this place again real soon. Do yourself a favor and try it.
Looking for affordable but quality, scrumptious steaks? You found the right place to eat! Steaks cooked to perfection, how you want your steak done. Craving for lamb? Johnny's serve one of the most delicious lambs (for a choosy girl like me who is picky with how the lamb is cooked, I recommend!). Be it for celebration or a family day, this is a family friendly place to eat at. Must try the fried rice and mashed potatoes as side dishes on your perfectly cooked steak!
Affordable Yummy super awesome Hi grade Steaks! With great side dishes like steak rice and a selection for sauces and bottled steak sauces. I would highly recommend this steak house for beef and steak lovers!
