Quality and affordable food! Staffs are very friendly too. the resto is clean also with a good ambiance. Will recommend this to my friends.
This is a super underrated Japanese restaurant! Their food is so good and it's affordable! Set meals and bento boxes available! Set meals go with free unlimited rice from Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. Best of all, I think the food is vetsin free! :)
Love the food, so authentic👍🏼and the price just right. Will keep coming back😊
Best curry ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍
Excellent..Maricar was a darling...great authentic jap.fare
Very good! Value for Money, the staff are also very nice
Sarap!! ..,mmhmh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy to have this low key restaurant in my neighborhood. Very good food prepared by a Japanese chef at super reasonable prices.
Best value for money Japanese restaurant!
Quality Japanese food at reasonable prices! A must try!
better than many japanese restaurants we've been to. we had buta kakuni-don and maguro sashimi-don. for dessert, ice cream with adzuki beans. my wife loves the buta kakuni, and me my sashimi-don. serving is quite generous, but you'd rather not go there if you like higher rice-to-fish ratio. the only low point for me was i didn't smell that aroma characteristic of many japanese restaurants we've been to. but that is just me. we will definitely go back.
One of our favorite Japanese restaurants! Underrated, hole in the wall; I always make sure to recommend it to all my friends. The chef is Japanese so you can be sure that the food will taste authentic.
We especially love their Atsuyaki Tamago — it’s sweet, tender, and really delicious. Their Chicken Karaage is also very good. We always get their Teishoku sets because the sides make for great value for money. Portions are generous. Visit during midday on weekdays for unli rice.
Underrated place. I first visited this place back when it opened, it has only gotten better since. This is one of the best hidden gems in the area and I'm happy it has picked up greatly since it has opened.
What you can expect from a Japanese owned place? Only superb food and clean surroundings! I totally love their chicken katsu curry! Their tamago is also the best. I want to come back to this place soon.
A three-storey place that has different function rooms and could probably house around 20 people at the same time (ground floor). Price is reasonable. My favorite would probably be the tamago. It’s so soft, well cooked and sweet, just the way I like it. Call it overreacting but it changed my mood to a better one when I had a taste of the eggs!
It’s located near our office (beside Sct. Fuentebella and corner of Jamboree) so this could be one of my go-to places for legit Japanese cuisine. Ordered the Chicken Karaage Bento and also Salmon Furai Bento. Salmon skin tastes great. Service is also good. ☺️Ladies who served our food named Tonette and Maricel were attentive.
Note: Zipang has service charge, could accommodate two to three cars parked in front of their restaurant.
Zipang is certainly a good Japanese restaurant, and one of the lesser known but definitely better Japanese restaurants in Quezon City. The food is great and affordable, and the serving sizes are generous. I particularly love and never fail to order their chicken karage set meal, and the mixed sashimi set, which at its price, will be one of the most affordable sahsimi set you will find. And yes, the sashimi tastes good, while admittedly not at peak freshness. Also, go for the grilled mackerel. The place itself is small, which I like so there aren't a lot of customers inside and its isn't rowdy. I like how the Japanese chef is straightforward and prompt in preparing the dishes, and also polite in interacting with customers. The rest of the staff, I think, have no choice as well but to be always prompt and move fast, which I like (service is way better than in other Japanese restaurants, i.e. Izakaya Kikufuji). Overall a good restaurant that never fails to satisfy cravings for Japanese dishes.
My go to Japanese comfort food restaurant on this side of Quezon City. The place is clean, nice and quiet, the food is freshly prepared by a Japanese Chef/Owner. For frequent customers, you will get to try the Chef’s new side dishes once in a while.
Jellybeans In The City
+4
My daughter (aka #ExhibitA) has been hankering for Japanese food since her work immersion in Quezon City started. On our way home from her last day of work immersion, I decided to take her to Zipang. Located at the corner of 11th Jamboree and Scout Fuentebella in Quezon City, this Japanese restaurant features a cozy seating area with modern Asian aesthetic that gives the place a Zen vibe. It also has an open kitchen where you can see the resto’s Japanese chef in his domain, working on his food creations. The servers are polite and attentive to the diners, as well as deferential to the chef.
Zipang is my favorite Japanese restaurant. Been eating here alot. Excellent food quality and quantity (Especially set meals) and great service and ambiance. My favorites are sukiyaki, sanzokuyaki and maguro furai
The place was simple but very clean, with ample seating and parking (if you count the ones in the nearby school)... We used the function room upstairs, which was spacious and conducive for a lecture. When we got there, tempura and tuna maki were already waiting for us. We were also served yakisoba... During the lecture, the Chicken karaage with pickled veggies and slaw was served... This is the dish I liked best. They also served the Nikatsu , which is like katsudon but doused in a soy based sauce. We were also served tea with our meal.
The food was okay tasting. I didnt get to sample a lot of the menu, but I'm not complaining... The service was fast and efficient... I can't say that it was the best Japanese food I've tasted, though there were a lot of rave reviews... All I can say is that it was a pleasant evening with not too memorable food (we were thinking the same thing). Not too sure about the price though.
Not too keen on repeating the experience...😁
Food was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, well-cooked, and had great portioning. Price is also good for the quality and serving size of the food.
The place is small and has modest furnishing. Seats are very limited.
Service is excellent. They have friendly and accommodating waitresses who deliver your orders and requests promptly. The Japanese head chef also greets you goodbye, which is nice.
Overall, I would recommend Zipang to people who love traditional Japanese food. The chef also has his own take on some traditional recipes, which adds uniqueness to the otherwise traditional food in the menu.
Their place is smaller compared to other Japanese restaurants today BUT, they offer FRESH AND GENEROUS SERVING OF CHIRASHI! No joke! Definitely, I will revisit Zipang!
Zipang is a japanese restaurant nestled in the tomas morato area. Inside, there is an open kitchen where you'll see the japanese chef cooking away wonderful morsels for food. The ambiance is really chill thanks to the modern interiors and nice lighting. I noticed a cozy private room located above (literally) the bathroom. I suggest you check it out and find out what it actually is! (I didnt ask, but it looked really cool)
So, I ordered their tonkatsu. I was surprised at how well-cooked and season the pork was. They also gave a very generous serving of food.
Their side dishes were very delicious. Tip: they serve unli-rice from 11-5 mondays to fridays (i think. You can check with them on this).
I tried their salmon sashimi -- very fresh! Also, they have fried salmon skin for just 50 pesos per serving (a very generous serving, by the way!)
The chef suggested that I order their Nagano dishes next time, as these are his specialty.
I will definitely come back!
My husband ordered the sanzokuyaki and I ordered the shake shigure. Both were set meals that included soup, rice and salad. Portions were big. Both meals were delicious. The staff were efficient and very courteous. Will definitely go back.
My favorite japanese resto so far! Love how fresh their sashimis are! And it is quite therapeutic watching Chef Masashi work the sushis. My fave here is the melt in your mouth Buta Kakuni. Must try!
🙌 If you love Jap food, this place is Legit! The owner is Japanese. He was there 4 out of the 4 times we ate here. He has his own personal Japanese touch on the food that is served. Food is really good. The serving is small though. But hey, you can always order more. Would highly recommend this place. Even the service tea is good. 👌👌👌
Zipang is a small, hidden Japanese restaurant somewhere in 11th Jamboree, Kamuning. I've been here a couple of times and always see the Japanese chef/owner of this restaurant preparing our meal.
It's a small restaurant that specializes Nagano cuisine, where the chef is from.
We ordered Agedashi Tofu, Mix Furai Teishoku, and Sanzokuyaki Teishoku.
The agedashi tofu was thinly battered and fried to crisp, served with a light soy sauce blend. I like how they do they agedashi with a thin skin of crust thats crispy, combined with the silky, smooth, soft tofu that is perfectly flavored with the sauce and katsuboshi. It was just melting and plating flavors in your tongue.
Sanzokuyaki teishoku was served with miso soup, a vegetable side dish, tuna skin pickle, rice, and the meat. The meat serving was good for 2-3 pax. It's basically marinated fried chicken. The chicken thigh fillets was moist and flavorful. The crispy crust was the bomb. It did remind me of Taiwanese fried chicken fillet, but crispier and tastier. It doesn't have a sauce to accompany it, but its already flavorful by itself.
Zipang means Japan. It'll bring you to how restaurants in Japan are, small, simple, and personalized by the chef. If the chefs out, it's closed.
I have been visiting here for quite sometime and Masashi-san always greet us with a smile and shows the Japanese hospitality.

So far the best japanese resto in the area(way bettern than nihon bashitei) Sashimi are always fresh but not much choices in the menu though, the chirashi taste better than toki(i still love toki's chirashi). The japanese owner greets us warmly upon entering and prepares the orders himself. We never fail to visit at least once a week 😆
The food & service was excellent. The staff was very polite and attentive. I'd recommend the seafood hotpot and the deep-fried salmon. Definitely a must-try restaurant if you're into Japanese food.
Their Chirashi bowl is to die for. Will definitely come back if only for that.
Also had umeshu which reminded me of one of my dinners in Tokyo. Not to sweet and alcohol-y unlike the one in Katsu Sora.
The quest for umeshu continues! Kampaiiii
Everything we ordered (sashimi boat, uni sashimi, ebi tempura, Zipang salad, chicken kariage (?), pork belly, etc) were good, although a little small on the serving size. All the waitresses were very polite and attentive, with our house tea and water being refilled continually. Since we had the small function room to ourselves, the ambience was good.
We were checking from the outside the menu posted beside their refrigerator and then an old man (maybe he's the owner) went out and gave us a menu. We just scanned the menu and immediately went in because: (1) we felt special on how the owner treated us; (2) it is not so pricey, just somehow.
By the time we entered, the waitress inmediately assisted us to our table and have a wet cloth, my friend told that it is to refresh us. Hahaha it's timely because it was really hot outside and it served its purpose.
We ordered Nikatsu (not sure with the name) set which consist a cup of rice, katsu, fruits, pickles, soup, and shredded cabbage. It is not unlimited like in Yabu.
It is a bit pricey compared to Yabu because it is not unli rice, fruits, and cabbage. Well, upon observation, the price is justifiable because I felt that each set is done with passion and it tastes really good!
best japanese restaurant in this area. Japanese owner Masashi greets you and does the actual cooking and sushi/sashimi preparation. The pork Tonkatsu i had was a bit tough, the maguro Sashimi was good - 9 pieces for the reasonable price. Plate presentation was great! But the best restaurant experience were the waitresses - they open the door for you when you walk in and will stand and open the door for you when you leave. Excellent service! I'll certainly return and order something else, not their pork Tonkatsu :)
Update Oct 13: I was craving for Tonkatsu. Well, well, much improved and tender (so disregard my previous review please). Good quality dining for the area and for the very reasonable prices. Try their unique appetizers and dishes on a separate menu.
The presentation of the food and the area is very good. Even the watresses are polite and very alert. The price is not that high. I can say, it is a good japanese restaurant :)
