Quality and affordable food! Staffs are very friendly too. the resto is clean also with a good ambiance. Will recommend this to my friends.
This is a super underrated Japanese restaurant! Their food is so good and it's affordable! Set meals and bento boxes available! Set meals go with free unlimited rice from Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. Best of all, I think the food is vetsin free! :)
better than many japanese restaurants we've been to. we had buta kakuni-don and maguro sashimi-don. for dessert, ice cream with adzuki beans. my wife loves the buta kakuni, and me my sashimi-don. serving is quite generous, but you'd rather not go there if you like higher rice-to-fish ratio. the only low point for me was i didn't smell that aroma characteristic of many japanese restaurants we've been to. but that is just me. we will definitely go back.
One of our favorite Japanese restaurants! Underrated, hole in the wall; I always make sure to recommend it to all my friends. The chef is Japanese so you can be sure that the food will taste authentic.
We especially love their Atsuyaki Tamago — it’s sweet, tender, and really delicious. Their Chicken Karaage is also very good. We always get their Teishoku sets because the sides make for great value for money. Portions are generous. Visit during midday on weekdays for unli rice.
Underrated place. I first visited this place back when it opened, it has only gotten better since. This is one of the best hidden gems in the area and I'm happy it has picked up greatly since it has opened.
What you can expect from a Japanese owned place? Only superb food and clean surroundings! I totally love their chicken katsu curry! Their tamago is also the best. I want to come back to this place soon.
A three-storey place that has different function rooms and could probably house around 20 people at the same time (ground floor). Price is reasonable. My favorite would probably be the tamago. It’s so soft, well cooked and sweet, just the way I like it. Call it overreacting but it changed my mood to a better one when I had a taste of the eggs!
It’s located near our office (beside Sct. Fuentebella and corner of Jamboree) so this could be one of my go-to places for legit Japanese cuisine. Ordered the Chicken Karaage Bento and also Salmon Furai Bento. Salmon skin tastes great. Service is also good. ☺️Ladies who served our food named Tonette and Maricel were attentive.
Note: Zipang has service charge, could accommodate two to three cars parked in front of their restaurant.
Zipang is certainly a good Japanese restaurant, and one of the lesser known but definitely better Japanese restaurants in Quezon City. The food is great and affordable, and the serving sizes are generous. I particularly love and never fail to order their chicken karage set meal, and the mixed sashimi set, which at its price, will be one of the most affordable sahsimi set you will find. And yes, the sashimi tastes good, while admittedly not at peak freshness. Also, go for the grilled mackerel. The place itself is small, which I like so there aren't a lot of customers inside and its isn't rowdy. I like how the Japanese chef is straightforward and prompt in preparing the dishes, and also polite in interacting with customers. The rest of the staff, I think, have no choice as well but to be always prompt and move fast, which I like (service is way better than in other Japanese restaurants, i.e. Izakaya Kikufuji). Overall a good restaurant that never fails to satisfy cravings for Japanese dishes.
My go to Japanese comfort food restaurant on this side of Quezon City. The place is clean, nice and quiet, the food is freshly prepared by a Japanese Chef/Owner. For frequent customers, you will get to try the Chef’s new side dishes once in a while.
Jellybeans In The City

My daughter (aka #ExhibitA) has been hankering for Japanese food since her work immersion in Quezon City started. On our way home from her last day of work immersion, I decided to take her to Zipang. Located at the corner of 11th Jamboree and Scout Fuentebella in Quezon City, this Japanese restaurant features a cozy seating area with modern Asian aesthetic that gives the place a Zen vibe. It also has an open kitchen where you can see the resto’s Japanese chef in his domain, working on his food creations. The servers are polite and attentive to the diners, as well as deferential to the chef.
Zipang is my favorite Japanese restaurant. Been eating here alot. Excellent food quality and quantity (Especially set meals) and great service and ambiance. My favorites are sukiyaki, sanzokuyaki and maguro furai
The place was simple but very clean, with ample seating and parking (if you count the ones in the nearby school)... We used the function room upstairs, which was spacious and conducive for a lecture. When we got there, tempura and tuna maki were already waiting for us. We were also served yakisoba... During the lecture, the Chicken karaage with pickled veggies and slaw was served... This is the dish I liked best. They also served the Nikatsu , which is like katsudon but doused in a soy based sauce. We were also served tea with our meal.
The food was okay tasting. I didnt get to sample a lot of the menu, but I'm not complaining... The service was fast and efficient... I can't say that it was the best Japanese food I've tasted, though there were a lot of rave reviews... All I can say is that it was a pleasant evening with not too memorable food (we were thinking the same thing). Not too sure about the price though.
Not too keen on repeating the experience...😁
