I have been dining at kanzhu for several years now and the quality and taste is still good. Both the braised beef dried noodles and noodles soup are served in large portions enough to fill a hungry tummy. Also you should consider ordering the olive fried rice as is has quality taste and such variant of fried rice is not easy to find elsewhere in Metro Manila
A1 Braised Beef Dry Noodles, (truly) Crispy Lemon Chicken, Fried Rice, Seaweed with Century Egg and you’re good to go! Ambience could use more work but other than that, Kanzhu does a great job with these dishes.
They also sell sesame-coated peanuts which are great for snacking at home.
The noodle quality is spot on, maintains its firmness despite the soup temperature. They also offer good merienda meals priced at 88php only!
Kanzhu hand pulled noodle restaurant is a healthy option for people who loves noodles and dumplings. They are located along tomas morato. We ordered their A1 braised beef dry noodles and asked it to be divided into two. Beef was tender but I really hope they added more. They have big servings. Their pork and chive dumplings are a favorite also.
What I can say about the place is that it’s what you would expect in a typical Chinese family restaurant (King Bee, David’s Teahouse, Yang Chow, etc.), to some extent. But it would be more proper to compare it with Le Ching’s: fast, belly-filling and affordable.
Make sure to try out their signature Dry Noodles as you won't usually see them in other Chinese Restos. They have a variety of options in their menu so don't make the same mistake we made where we only ordered all noodles lol!
Sad to see that its Marcos Hiway branch close but good thing their Tomas Morato branch is still kicking.

Ate here one Christmas Eve of 2017 and although small in size, this place is very cozy and yummy food too! I can’t remember the same of the noodles we ordered but it was good. The beef in it was perfect not rubbery like I feared and the Chilled Green Tea Taho was so good. It’s not too sweet but not bland. I ate here with my boyfriend and when our bill arrived I remembered it being less than 500 (probably 300+). At times like this it’s amazing to pay only that much for two people without food quality being sacrificed. The only problem I see is that I live far from here but other than that I would definitely visit again if given the chance.
It was good, but please always serve your food hot. It would make the food 10x better. Nevertheless, the food was enjoyable and the serving was big enough for sharing.
One of the most authentic hand-pulled noodle resto I've tasted in the Metro. Love how their noodles are freshly made and cooked ---al dente style. Their serving can be stretched to 2 if you don't have a huge appetite.
Their menu also boasts of other best-selling dishes including their delicious Olive Fried Rice and French beans with minced pork. For appetizers, try their siomai and gyoza.
"Everything was legit!"
A strong remark from my dad. I was searching for a Chinese restaurant and this was the closest in the area that we haven't even tried yet. Plus the curiosity abt "hand-pulled noodles" was a factor.
Well we ordered....a bit of everything? 😄😄
Just check the photos. But, yah, we (they, since this is my bonus treat for fam) really enjoyed every thing here including our stay since it's very quiet and neat.👍

I love the simplicity of this restaurant , what you see is what you get :) if you like hand pulled noodles I think this is the right place for you , it's affordable and the food is true to taste and flavor , their dimsum selection is also superb ! my favorite is the vegetable stir fried noodles and fried curry dumplings , they're heaven :)

My mistake here was not ordering the much-lauded hand-pulled noodles (I find noodles too heavy for lunch). My order of salt-and-pepper pork spare ribs was too heavily-seasoned and oily that I found myself eating more rice to tone down the flavor. For dessert, we had the new strawberry jelly (a bit too sweet for me) and taho with tapioca pearls (just the right sweetness with and interesting blend of textures).
I'm not such a big fan of their beef soup base but their chicken soup bases are heavenly. For dimsum, I recommend the curry beef dimsum (which isn't spicy but flavors burst in your mouth when you bite it) and pork and chives dimsum (the chives remove the malansa flavor of the pork and freshens it up). For dessert, the chilled green tea taho is a definite must try!
We chanced upon Kanzhu one evening when we were in the middle of some greedy craving for hot noodles. While waiting for our orders, we were informed by the wall displays that their noodle recipe originates from China, and has been passed on as a tradition, so it somehow built up our expectations for the best noodles. Having been to China, where you would get the real deal in the noodle world, I was expecting something of that level. The noodles at Kanzhu were of good quality and flavourful, enough to satisfy our noodle craving. But I still find it lacking -- noting that I am just comparing it to one of the noodle street stalls in Guangzhou. Maybe I should come back again and try other noodles for second opinion.
Went to Kanzhu for my sister's birthday lunch, we had x2 of every order we had... was amazed with the talent of the "noodle master" with speed and pulling precision he prepared the noodles that were actually used in every order. But what i really loved is the green tea taho and I will definitley go back. The only con is that the place is small, but the food are great!
Their hand-pulled noodles never fail to satisfy a hungry diner looking for a comforting bowl. Must-tries are the Beef Brisket Noodles and their Pork and Chives Dumplings. Not to mention, you can view your noodles being created while you wait. What struck me the most is the price range. At 600 PHP, I can get a decent lunch or dinner for two persons.
A pleasant surprise. We weren't expecting much but the meals we had satisfied our craving for good food priced right. We enjoyed their pork and chive dumplings, chicken and ginger dumplings, and green tea taho. The taho had the right sweetness and a different in a good way taste. There were only two servers but they were attentive to our needs and as efficient as they could be. We were so pleased with them that we had to leave them a good tip. The place is small but has an open kitchen that amazed us with the demo on how hand-pulled noodles are prepared. We will go back soon :)
EXPRESS EAT!!!!🍴😊😊 😊
Good Food for a very reasonable price without compromising the Taste...😊🍲🍣🍝
#Love their Hand-Pulled Noodles and TAHO!😊❤
A nice place with great ambiance and interiors. But the star remains to be their hand-pulled noodles cooked in four different ways depending in your cravings and preference.
My favorite are the lamb, beef and seafood dry and xo noodles served in huge servings perfect for a group of 2 or 3. Moreover, their dimsums and appetizers though limited in selection are equally great.
Over all; great food, good service, bad parking space.
Noodles was authentic! Thick and chewy, topped with lamb and satay sauce, just reminds me of Singapore! The siomai was so tasty, you can really appreciate the meat in it
Just coming in the restaurant drew me in with its cozy ambiance and rustic vibe. The food was served fairly quickly. And it wasn't disappointing. The food was served freshly cooked. The Fried lamb noodles and sausage fried rice tasted awesome. The broth of the soup was tasty, and had a deep rich flavor it reminds me of the ramen boths. It was a pleasant experience overall and invoked memories of dining out in Hong Kong.
The lamb dumplings were really good! This is the first time i've encountered such dish so it naturally peaked my interest and i must say that i am a fan.
The A1 Braised beef noodle isn't really a soupy dish, but the noodles were really firm and you can see that it was freshly made.
I'm not a fan of their black fungus and jellyfish dish. The jellyfish was really hard to chew and they basically just poured black vinegar over it.
For dessert, I prefer their green tea taho rather than the almold and lychee dessert because the taste of the almond was too strong while the green tea taho just has a subtle taste and the right amount of sweetness :)
Their steamed lamb dumplings will be part of my last meal, and don't laugh coz it's probably true. Putting additional characters so I can reach the 140 minimum, yey.
I love pasta, but I don't consider myself as a big fan of noodles in general. Especially if they're swimming in hot liquid. I don't know, I'm just weird like that.
When my officemates presented the idea of going to Kanzhu for lunch, I got curious just because I haven't been to Kanzhu (I haven't been to a lot of places so I get easily excited, bear with the #ShelteredKid). However, I felt a bit anxious when I found out that their specialty are hand-pulled noodles. At first, I didn't care about "hand-pulled" - I was so focused on "noodles" and the fact that I'm not into noodles.
Not wanting to be a killjoy and pigeonholed into this box for finicky diners, I went to Kanzhu Tomas Morato branch along with my officemates for lunch. The space is reminiscent of the other authentic Chinese restaurants that I've been to, complete with Chinese customers (they look Chinese to me).
The menu was a bit of a surprise to me, just because I was expecting usual noodles. But the photos made the food look appetizing to me, so I ordered the Kanzhu Special Braised Beef worth Php 240.
Overall, I was satisfied with the dish, because I felt that there was a generous serving of meat that perfectly complemented the noodles. I just wish that we didn't have to request for an additional serving of the sauce for that added kick of flavor, but I appreciate the fact that they provide more sauce when customers ask for it.
The beef is tender, and the noodles are solid - I can perfectly understand why the above is a bestseller. I would go back to check out other dishes - and for someone who isn't on the noodle bandwagon, that is saying something.
You can order your noodles with soup or dry. The dry noodles come with scallion oil and would have more intense flavor while the noodle soup will have a light soup base. The A1 braised beef noddle is the star of the show here. Other dishes are just too oily - especially the fried rice dishes - and not worth the calories. The minced pork with french beans was quite ok.
Love all their XO dry noodles, Lamb dumplings and Shrimp XO Radish cake. Limited edition Almond Pearl Taho is also amazing though I suggest asking for the syrup to be on the side.
I have been dining in Kanzhu since it first opened back in 2010 and I am glad that they have recently renovated. The new look gives a more updated and cozy feel, and the kitchen seems to look brighter and cleaner.
The food quality has remained consistent. My favorite A1 Dry Noodles is still as tender as ever, and packed with strong authentic flavors. I noticed that their soup has changed from what I remember and is now less pungent and spicy, but still flavorful nonetheless.
The only issue I have is that I had to ask for free appetizers from the waiter which they normally give to customers. Not a big issue since they’ve immediately served me with a small plate of sweet peanuts after requesting for it.
All in all the experience is good, especially with the newly renovated interior which has actually given it a cozy café feel rather than a simple noodle house from what I remember it to be.
Keep up the good work and customers will definitely be coming back for more.
I was amazed the first time i ate here. I was able to see how they cook my food. They had a little exhibition of making the noodle. It was cool.. Thumbsup????????
Hand-pulled noodles FTW! Yummy and affordable plus this branch was just renovated! Looks better than before :)
My friend talked so highly about Kanzhu Hand-Pulled Noodles' noodles and Siopao Asado. One week night, we decided to have our dinner there if parking would be available. Yes, that is the downside in this restaurant. The parking is very minimal and such an effort.
Good thing is, we only waited for like 10 minutes (or less) before we got a spot. I let them order since they know the food that much. I just came there to eat.
The Pork and Chive Dumplings Dry Noodles was delicious. The noodles were far from different from the noodles I tried from other Chinese dining places. It was kind of spicy but not at all salty. I liked the Chive Dumplings. In spite of being a vegetable filling dumpling, it still tasted perfect with the noodles. I think it tasted even good than the usual meat filling dumpling.
And as for the much awaited dish of the night, the Siopao Asado. It was really soft and the filling was full of flavor. It tasted well also with the noodles we ordered. It was small compared to other places that serve Siopao but I think this more flavorful.
I also liked their Hot Milk Tea. I got used to drinking Cold Milk Tea with Pearls that I forgot that hot milk tea tastes good also. I think this is much better because it's relaxing.
They have also this amazing appetizer (for free but you can purchase it for take-out). It's like a dried fish but really crispy. The taste is a combination of sweet and spicy. It's really delicious and addicting.
I'll definitely go back here for more of their authentic Chinese food with my mom. I'm pretty sure she's going to love this.
