I haven’t tried many dishes here but so far, none are particularly memorable with the exception of the TOFU STEAK. Must try if you haven’t!
Among the simple makis, the Kani Salad Maki is a good choice.
My family’s go to place when we can’t decide where to eat! Been coming here since I was super young, and still go here regularly. Food and service has not changed, everything’s still as I remember and it’s great. Love their tempura, chicken teriyaki don, dynamite roll, chicken teriyaki salad, kuri kani salad, spicy maguro salad, tamago soup, and beef.

Kimono Ken is one of our go-to-place for comfort food, Friendly and approachable staffs... I would definitely recommend this place. Sumptuous sushi :)
This is one of dad's favorite Japanese restaurants.
Ever since he passed away last July 2018, mom and I never set foot here, not til recently. I guess we have already moved on. Not totally but getting there.
My dad's suking servers do not work for this branch anymore. I remember how they took care of dad's special needs everytime we were here.
Anyway, I ordered my usual, Philadelphia Maki and mom, her Ebi Tempura with Chahan. Everything tasted the same, no change. Even the new servers were as nice and efficient as the old ones.
I will see to it that mom and I do a revisit again. Soon.
We tried their Green Tea Jelly and Coffee Jelly. The flavor of the green tea from the Green Tea Jelly was delectable. If you're a green tea lover, this is definitely a must try. The Coffee Jelly, on the other hand, was as expected, nothing special, but ice cream is full and creamy.
Chicken cheese roll was surprisingly good. Ordered this with fried rice. The ambience was modern and stylish. The place can get busy during evenings. Service was okay.

Food was okay too. I like the gyudon and fried potato/sweet potato something. It’s delicious. It’s cut is so so so thin, like thin fries cut.
Kimono Ken is one of the restaurants in the area that serves authentic Japanese food. When it comes to Japanese food, you can count on this one.

Sushi was fresh, gyoza was well cooked, yatikory was delicious. All in all I had a wonderful experience eating the food.

All was well until my mom had a bit of an issue with her SC discount but the crew apologized and everything was ok.

Place is ok though it seems a bit dark or maybe just because of the weather. Also, for me, the sound that they were playing was not appropriate for their venue.
It’s just after the holidays and everyone will be treating family and friends who are visiting. They only have one chef available and with the high number of customers they are unable to keep up.
The gyoza is larger than expected and ramen is average.
Tried the Moyashi Ramen. A big bowl of thick miso based soup with a generous serving of bean sprouts, ground pork and vegetables. It was served scorching hot so I had to let the bowl cool down a bit before having a spoonful. It was satisfyingly good. The noodles was plump and good enough for two. I would have loved more meat in it but overall for the price of 230pesos it is a good deal.
