Had a surprise birthday party here on Feb 22. Booking the place was never a hassle even though I only confirmed a day before. Staff made sure my music selections were piped in overhead even if it was not their usual light music fare. I requested use of a projector a few hours before the event - this was provided for and working during the party. I reserved for 30 pax but more people showed up. Still no problems. Here's the secret to Oley: their food is excellent, the place beautiful but it is their attention to detail and service that elevates this restaurant above the competition. Will definitely go back.
It's close to my place and also one of my happy places. I love their cordon bleu and scarlett cake (red velvet + cheesecake). The staffs are friendly, and they also have delivery services. :)
Cafe Oley has been a staple for intimate dinners, celebratory dinners and birthdays in our family. Besides the food choices, the ambiance of the place was lovable. The tables, the interiors, the garden- all spell out quaint and unique.
A bit pricy nga lang haha but every penny is worth it ;) (been a long time since we visited this place, nakakamiss ~)
Guyabano cheesecake ❤ It's now my favorite cheesecake.
Their kare-kare did not disappoint. Rich and meaty. Taste and serving size is sulit to the last spoonful.
Love this place for its charm! Haven’t tried their entrees yet but that’s for another visit. Their cakes are so good—had dark chocolate, ube, red velvet, and cheesecake (at different occasions) and really satisfied my craving. The fresh fruit shakes were not as good though. I feel like they add too much sugar syrup or water so it doesn’t taste like the actual fruit.
Found this place as it happened to be the nearest to where we were coming from and one of my companions knew of it.We ordered kare2(forgot to take a picture before we messed out with its presentation),inihaw na buntot ng tuna and tawilis salad. The place looks nondescript from the outside but inside,my brother commented that its instagrammable. The kare2 was well presented with the vegetables, with a thick and flavorful sauce and real oxtail. The tuna was cooked just right, served with a topping of crisp garlic and a sweetish sauce. The tawilis salad was unique, lettuce topped with crispy fried tawilis and served with an interesting sauce, deep brown, sweet but with a hint of sour.We were too full to have dessert but they do offer a small range of home-baked desserts like banoffee, red velvet, cheesecake.Would love to try some of these as well as their dinakdakan(apparently they do Ilocano cuisine well).Prices seem fair for tbe quantity of the serving portion as well as the taste.Their service personnel were attentive. They also have function rooms.
Cafe Oley has such a cozy ambiance and really attentive servers. We, however went on a weekday afternoon thus the place was not filled. There's actually only one table that was occupied aside from ours. My friend has been raving about their cakes and coffee so I had them first. I tried their Exotic cake which was really good especially for those who have had enough of chocolate cakes and would like to try something new. I had the Tuyo pasta for my main dish and this too didn't dispappoint. Serving was generous, could be shared by two if you are ordering another dish. My friend had their Grilled Tuna and his reaction after his first bite was convincing enough to know that it was also good. For dessert, he had their Choco de Oro cake. I am not difficult to please when it comes to chocolate cakes but this one I should say could also fall under the "sinfully "yummy- death by chocolate cake" category. Oh and their coffee? It was deliciously strong, we were both palpitating towards the end of the night. :)
Too bad the pasta was too filling, I couldn't have any more food from their menu. What more... the aroma of the dishes the table next to us ordered was so enticing, I could tell they were flavorful! I will dedinitely be back soon to try these dishes out.
Nice Place... Good food... fine dining in a very affordable price. can customize the food within ur budget... . Definitely, I will go back to this place. Ambiance is perfect!
I hosted my team's Christmas party here at Cafe Oley as referred by one of my officemate/friend. Place was cozy, old house that was modified to a restaurant.
Ordered the following for our party:
Sisig Bombs
Kare-Kare Bagnet
Crispy Dinuguan
Boneless Crispy Pata
Stuffed Squid
Everything was so delicious! Memorable experience with my team and was so happy they were satisfied with the meal.
Love their washroom as well, very clean and spacious.
Had the pleasure of dining at this place. I absolutely love their take on the monggo soup. It was light and it has a different layers of flavors in every sip you take. The crispy Tawilis (Its the first time I came across and have ordered this is Manila restaurant) was a surprising treat it was fried well light properly salted matched with a sauce that compliments the fish well. Their crispy tadyang was also good though Ive tasted better. This place has a homey feel being that it was a garage that was converted to a restaurant along Matalino st.
Got a chance to go in this cafe for we have been eyeing this quite a long time, and it did not disapppoint me. :) The coffee, and the cheesecake as well as the rainbow velvet cake are all good. It is the beef lasagna that stood out the most. It is very good! At 350.00, good for two, worth it! 👌👍👏
God bless Cafe Oley! Will come back again :)
We passed by Café Olay some time last week coming home from dinner at Matalino St. It was just sheer curiosity at first but there's something about the simplicity of the place that was just too intriguing for my foodie friend. So, when we were both starving this arvo after having back to back group exercise classes, this was the first thing that came to his mind and I was just too hungry to think of something else.
It was past 3pm so we didn't have a hard time parking but I imagine it would be tougher during meal times.
We liked the homey feel of the place the moment we stepped in. As it's summer, I also appreciated the air conditioning that was set at just the right thermostat.
We ordered tokwa't baboy and kare kare bagnet (and rice!) which arrived not too long after. They give huge servings so although it's slightly more pricey than other similar places, it's more justified here. The kare was creamy and the sauce was really heavy. It was perfectly complimented by their Olay shrimp paste (bagoong) which is also a winner on its own. They really did use bagnet so it was heavenly. The presentation was nice too, even for the tokwa't baboy which was equally yummy with its soy sauce and the sour tangy taste fighting in your mouth. The utensils weren't the cheap kind, almost like the new silverware Mum would take out of her cupboard during fiesta or when there's a visitor. The entire place including the toilet was really neat too.
Of course, who'd forget dessert? The pastries on display were just a sight to see that we actually ordered and had dessert before our actual meal! Their sansrival was also delicious with just the right sweetness I love it! We will most certainly be back to try their other dishes next time.
And oh, did I say we also got some cinnamon rolls for take out? 😜
