Enjoyed everything we ordered and the menu is reasonably priced. Staff were also very attentive. I will surely recommend this place to my friends.
We brought our friend Jun (from SFO) to have a taste of Filipino food as prepared by Chef Sandy. We frequent the place and recommend it to friends because we love the food and service. The prices are reasonable and it’s nice that Chef Sandy is often around to meet guests.
We loved their Filipino food with a twist.Their serving is big enough for at least 3 pax..Although we had some minor issues with their service, that will not stop us from coming back because of their food and ambiance. Definitely we'll go back to try their other food.
The food was superb. Serving size is worth the price. Ambience is homey. Plus the servers are very attentive.
Food you must not missed when you’re on holiday. Sandy Daza and his staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is really yummy and reasonable. I will definitely go back there.
I just celebrated my birthday there, 2 days in a row. The food is something you'd want to go back to, again and again. What else can you ask for in a restaurant... Great food, great service, and to top it all, great Chef!

Love chef sandy's creations!!!!
The empanadas are really good. That’s why they’re always sold out.
A bit pricey but anything made by Chef Daza is worth it. Ive been watching his shows since i was little kid. The Cauliflower rice is to die for, good for low carb diet.
Update:
Went here with the Fam, sulit na sulit. We loved the beef sinigang sa bayabas and the pork chips, syempre di mawawala ang cauli rice. :)
Great food. Great place to take your family.

Casa Daza has such a homey ambience that compliments really well with their Filipino dishes. I’ve only ever visitied with friends, and I am dying to bring my family here as well. Their food is a bit pricey but are usually in serving sizes for sharing.
I've always been intrigued by Casa Daza because I watch Chef Sandy on TV. We ordered lechon belly chips, caldereta, adobo flakes, pancit langlang and bangus sisig. I think they could add more serving because the prices were quite steep. Please order the lechon belly chips and pancit langlang. We could not stop on munching the lechon belly chips because they were so good! My husband and our friends also enjoyed pancit langlang. It was really good and it was love at first bite. The adobo flakes was also great. However, I don't care so much for the caldereta and sisig. When craving for Filipino food at UPTC, you should definitely drop by here.
Consistency.
I don't like eating Filipino food when I go out because most of the time,I always leave disappointed. That is the reason why I'm always hesitant to try Filipino restaurants.
Casa Daza has always been one of those Filipino restaurants that I consider "safe and consistent". Every time I eat here, the experience has always been great from the food to the service. I've always liked their 3 egg salad which for me is the right balance of sourness, sweetness and umami.
I always consider Casa Daza/Wooden spoon as one of those few Filipino restaurant that I won't hesitate to eat in because I always know what to expect, which is excellent service and great food.
Best Filipino “home-cooked” dishes i have ever tasted. My family had lunch here, for the first time. We ordered Okoy for appetizer, Crispy Pork Belly, Caldereta, followed by Adobong Kangkong , then Kare kare. For dessert we had sago cake. Each food was delicious and brings such a delightful experience. It’s as if you’re “home “. Customer service was exceptional as well. Can’t wait to try the other dishes in the menu. Kudos Chef Sandy! We’re definitely coming back for more.
What We Ordered:
Crispy Pancit w/ Crab Omelette
Dinakdakang lechon
Sinigang na Salmon Belly Thai Style
Fiesta Rice
What I liked:
Chef Sandy Daza's creative recipes certainly didn't fail. All of these were classics that took me back to the Wooden Spoon days when it was still in Katip. The dry and crispy pancit pairs well with the juicy crab omelette, and so is the Dinakdak na lechon with Fiesta Rice. What I liked about the chef's Sinigang is that everything is so soft and melts in your mouth, not just the salmon but also the veggies that came with it.
We were looking for a place to eat with my parents and when I saw Casa Daza I knew we had to go there because my mom is such a fan of Chef Sandy and I was really hoping that the food would be good as to not disappoint her.
Thank goodness she wasn’t disappointed at all! The food was great, the staff were very accommodating and polite and we finished all that we ordered. I wasn’t even able to take pictures of everything because we were already digging in.
Beef Curry - Must try! The beef is very tender and the sauce is very thick and not spicy( idk though if you can request it to be spicy).
Stuffed Pechay - Must try! Always a favorite from the Wooden Spoon. Pechay rolls in coconut cream with Tinapa flakes as its filling.
Fish Fillet with Wansuy sauce - Not your typical breading passing off as fish fillet. It was cooked perfectly not dry and not too oily and the sauce was really great.
Sinigang na baboy - Soup is very thick because of gabi and the sourness is just right.
Their Lechon Kawali is delicious even without the sauces that comes with. Do not miss their stuffed Petchay, I will come back even just it! Good food and price is reasonable. Fam friendly.
This place features Filipino food. The dishes served are quite good. The place is conducive for families and friends. Desserts are not too sweet, but just right.
We enjoyed our food as these are familiar menu items from Wooden Spoon. My personal favorites are the crab pancit, sizzling bopis and shrimp pampango with talangka sauce.
Did not get to enjoy my Zomato gold privilege here as the restaurant advised that it only applies to cash transactions.
Celebrated my Dads birthday here and staff is very accommodating!
Food was superb as always ♥️ ordered their new dish, midnight Sotanghon was recommended and it was super tasty.
The Grilled Tuna and Pinangat were beyond amazing. Casa Daza keeps elevates Filipino food to a new level yet stays grounded with tradition and the spirit of Filipino cuisine.

The food was very good and service was quick. But they only give dessert as the free dish if you have Zomato gold, unlike other places that offer 1+1 and give you the second highest priced order.
Everything was great! We ordered the beef curry, sizzing bopis just the right amount of spice, tuna belly was very tender and flavourful and garlicky bangus.
Casa Daza by Chef Sandy is one of the restaurants that I will go back to.
Their food is delicious... really delish. They have a wide array of food selection. Their serving is good for 2 people. Their pricing is reasonable. Their service is fast. So thumbs up! 👍🏻
It is our first time to dine here and we ordered sisig, dinuguan bagnet and ginataang sigarilyas. All tasted superb!
As a fan of empanadas, tasting the chicken empanada of Casa Daza adds to my list of best tasting empanada.
We’ll definitely come back!
I love everything! Food, Staff, Ambiance and Value of Money. ;)
We ordered their Pancit Canton Crab Omellete, Stuffed Petchay, Kare Kare, Grilled Tuna, Adobo Flakes and Garlic Rice.Even though most of there servings are few, the taste are all awesome. I'd come back again and again.
What's cool about the resto, even though it's quite small.. they have separate lavatories for gents and ladies. How OSOm is that!
Loved the grilled tuna and sidings. It was grilled perfectly.
The kaldereta meat was very tender, but the sauce was a bit too salty for my taste.
Also ordered melon shake. There was too much ice and only little melon taste.
Staff was friendly and polite 😊
Caza daza is a good place to have lunch with the family. Their Tuna Belly is tasty and its soy souce is perfect for the said dish. Though their dinakdakan is not that authentic for me, it is still good and light to eat.
I loved their crispy pancit with egg omelette and salad with crab meat and bangus sisig. Their banana heart salad is ok and tofu with cauliflower. Their cauliflower rice is fine too. If I get to return I will get the crispy pancit with egg omelette and pasta simply love it
Thank God for Casa Daza! I had a legit panic attack when Wooden Spoon shut down. They still make my favorites just as delicious as ever: Adobo Flakes, Crispy Chicken (it's spicy Korean-style chicken), Garlic Rice, and Sago Cake. Try these and you will never want to order anything else.
All I can say is...I love their Papaitan dish! I also love the interior of the restaurant, I find it cozy and serene. I will come back next week to try other dishes.
The waiters and waitresses were very friendly. It was my first time to use Zomato Gold, so the waitress took her time to explain the process to me.
Food was fast and really good too.
The bill took quite some time, but is totally forgivable and can be overlooked given the total experience. :)
The restaurant is great for families who love Filipino food. Their unique take on Filipino food is very good, especially their Laksa Puso ng Saging (since I am vegetarian). My brother was able to finish a whole serving of their chicken. Thanks for the great service.
Food 5/5
Everything we ordered was good. Kare-kare sauce lacked thickness than how we usually have it but flavorful nonetheless and the beef was tender. Sisig tastes like the usual but I like the extra crisp. The stuffed pechay surprised us. It was such a memorable dish from the stuffing to the sauce, I never imagined vegatables being so creatively prepared. The rice with tinapa and chorizo and salted egg can actuallybstand on its own.
Price 5/5
The food was worth its price so using zomato gold makes it a steal.
Service 5/5
This was what made me love the resto more. The three servers who attended to us were all so kind and willing to take photos and additional requests like toyomansi for sisig. It's always a big thing when the servers help you feel at home.
Been a solid fan of the Daza family’s food ever since Wooden Spoon! My favorite dishes are: Shrimp Patties, Adobo Flakes, Tilapia Fried Rice, Chickem Empanada, and their Crispy Noodles with Omelette (?)! It always feels like I’m home whenever I eat in Casa Daza. Comfort food at its best. ❤️
Food is superb! Very tasty and fresh. We also enjoyed their shakes. Enjoyed our lunch meeting here. Waiters are very attentive and courteous! Serving is just right.
Caza Daza by Chef Sandy serves good food and offers good service. My friends and I enjoyed our dining experience in this place. I would def recommend it to others.
At first, Caza Daza seems a little bit intimidating as the ambience is fancy. But with great service and good food, you can never go wrong in dining here. Kudos to the whole crew and food is really great! 💜
Used my Zomato Gold yesterday, it was really worth it. Food was good, I agree to those who commented that their serving is really small in terms of price. But great seasoning, matches the Filipino taste.
Ordered: Empanada, Dinakdakan, Lechon Kawali, and Pampangueño Shrimp
Very homey ambience. Food is served as it would be at home. Nothing fancy. But whatever was lacking in the presentation was more than compensated by the taste. You'll surely leave happy and satsfied.
Food Ordered: Lechon Belly Chips, Seafood Kare-Kare, Pork Sisig, Casa Daza Crispy Chicken
Serving is big. Yummy food. Only problem is many items on the menu were sold out. Will be back for sure. Happy that they have wooden spoon dishes.
Great food we ordered 12 dishes. We were delighted eith each one of them! Pricing is very reasonable. The temperature is a bit too warm when we dined (Saturday night)
Food quality 9/10
Food taste 9/10
Price 8/10
Staff 8/10
Overall experience is good. Food tastes great though i find some dishes quantity too small for the price. The ambiance is a bit weird. Lights maybe a little too warm. I find the lights irritating and i just wanna go out right away because it makes me feel irritable of some sort.
Food was really good. The crab pancit was nice and crispy the scrambled eggs had a very nice flavor into it. The three egg salad was very interesting. The gyoza was rich and juicy but was a little bit greasy. The chicken was nice and sweet also. We also loved the option of the cauliflower rice it was truly guilt free goodness. Overall chef sandy doesn’t disappoint 👍
Actual rating would be 4.5 but ill round it up cause they desserve it
Ordered the sotanghon with egg and three egg salad and they were both amazing
The sizzling bopis was my favorite but i am biased to inards... they are my favorite
The cauliflower rice was nice and light. Slightly salted and good for a healthy option
Chicken skin dumplings were good but i think there was too much remaining fat and meat on the skin.
Food here is familiar, but with a good twist. Taste is good and price is reasonable. Cash only if availing of the Zomato Gold promo, which can be a turn off though; one might not have enough cash. That should have been announced at the onset.
Great food, service, and ambiance. There really is nothing more to say, as is expected from the successor to Wooden Spoon :) Would definitely come back albeit rarely. Food is kinda pricey but is super filling.
We had our 4th anniversary here, we ordered Kare Kare, Sandy’s Beef Curry and Lechon Kawali Strips and 4 cups of rice. Can I just say the serving was overwhelming, that’s why we were really amazed that we were full instantly! And this doesn’t happen often haha! We would definitely go back for more. :) I hope they had something for people celebrating like us. :)
We loved the food here and the server was extra nice that he even placed another chair for our bags. The golden chicken was fried to perfection and the pechay rolls shouldn’t be missed! My father also liked the Pochero and he is quite hard to please. Tip: empanadas are 50% off before closing time.
Food: The food was excellent. I had the cauliflower rice, sisig and chicken skin gyoza. They had a wide selection of Filipino food but also some unique creations of the chef.
Ambiance: Looks like a Spanish place but it serves Filipino food so that was a bit confusing on my part.
Price: Their food is priced to he a family restaurant but IMO the servings were too small to be a for sharing dish. Would be the only drawback to eating in this place.

Taste, presentation and service are awesome except for the number of servings. puro sabaw and sauce. Walang masyadong meet e.g. Dinuguan and Humba
It’s been a while since I’ve been to UP Town Center along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, and my brother, my dad, and I paid Casa Daza a visit, which is located in the original wing of the area. My family loves Wooden Spoon, and since this restaurant has pretty much the same food as Wooden Spoon and the same owner, we expected nothing less than the food we’re used to, and we weren’t disappointed. The taste of home-cooked food never fails to keep our tummies happy, and Casa Daza was no exception. Here are the dishes we ordered:
Egg Salad
-combination of sweet, sour, salty, and a bit of spicy
-salted egg, hard-boiled egg, and century egg
-my brother’s favorite dish here
-very refreshing
4.5/5
Stuffed Pechay
-my favorite dish here (and in Wooden Spoon) hands-down
-the mildly spicy, and coconut-y taste of the sauce is the highlight of the dish
-meat inside the pechay provides a bit of a salty aftertaste to cut through the creaminess of the sauce
-the sauce can be paired with rice and enjoyed as is even without the stuffed pechay
5/5
Wansoy Shrimp Nuggets
-breaded nicely (not too much breading)
-the tangy wansoy sauce, and the sweet and sour sauce compliment the saltiness of the nuggets
-no skimping out on meat
-my second favorite dish here
5/5
Orange Chicken
-chicken doesn’t have too much breading
-chicken is tender
-pieces of orange fruit are incorporated into the dish
-the sauce seeps into the skin of the chicken
-chicken to sauce ratio is just right
4/5
Puso ng saging
-sour
-reminiscent of kilawin according to my dad and my brother
-tainga ng daga
-not that rich in flavor according to my tastebuds
-not my favorite, but worth a try
3.5/5
Puchero
-comes with a side of eggplant
-corn, carrots, french beans, cabbage
-pork, chicken, beef
-lots of ingredients for a dish
-taste of the broth is reminiscent of nilaga, flavorful broth that doesn’t overpower the meat and vegetables
4/5
*The main complaint was that the serving size was smaller than usual, and when we asked one of the restaurant staff, they underwent costing, which explains why they had to reduce the sizing, at least in the dishes we ordered
For those wondering abou the difference between the food from Wooden Spoon and Casa Daza, they are not that different from each other, at least in the dishes we were able to try.
The ambience reminded me of home but in a more casual atmosphere. The bright lights made our dining experience more enjoyable, and it’s a great venue for lunch and dinner with family or friends. The service was okay, but my dad was able to interact with one of the staff member who used to be in the Wooden Spoon branch along Katipunan that closed down (we ate there frequently when it was still open).
All in all, Casa Daza is a great option for those looking for a taste of home, and is definitely worth a try. The stuffed pechay and the wansoy shrimp nuggets, the highlights of the menu in my opinion, will make me keep coming back in the future, and it may just make you come back after your first visit.
Value for money: 4/5
Taste of the food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Service: 4/5
On a Wednesday night around 8:00pm. No line. We ordered DINAKDAKAN (8/10), GINATAANG SIGAILYAS NA MAY DAING (10/10), CHICKEN STEAK WITH GRAVY (7/10), and DALANDAN JUICE
Service is 100%. Price is okay for the place and taste. We recommend this place!!! A restaurant for family, or catch up with a friend/family. And also, you can bring here your friends/families from abroad who are visiting PH 🇵🇭
Saturday afternoons for me as a child would be a dose of cartoons in the morning the staple noontime show in between and more cartoons in the afternoon. The middle segment of the noontime show would be a cooking show hosted by Chef Sandy Daza the proprietor of Casa Daza. Ive always imagine how the food he cooked tasted likr and I had the chance recently when I ate at his restaurant.
Inspired by his kapampangan roots (I suppose), Casa Daza brings the familiar and unfamiliar central luzon delicacies together. Its homey interiors makes you feel at ease while waiting for your ordered Entrees. We ordered the Tinapa Fried Rice, the Crispy Fried Chicken, and the ingeniously creative sago cake.
The tinapa fried rice is a complete meal by itself. Generously garnished with bits of Tinapa with salted egg and sliced tomato on the side, this rice brings together everything you love about Pinoy Breakfast. The crispy fried chicken was ok, its good but nothing too special. Diced marinated and deep fried, its juicy and yet crispy consistency make it a good beer match. The Sago cake was surprisingly creative, they used sago as a subsitute for sticky rice and made it a biko like rice cake drizzled with coconut jam syrup. The sago made the cake lighter which made me better enjoy the dessert as a whole withouy necessary getting overwhelmed. I enjoyed my meal at Casa Daza, what can possibly make it better would be if they had bigger servings. I felt the servings were comparatively small taking into consideration the price and comparing it to other restaurants at the price range. I guess to a certain extent, price, really comes with the name.

The foods are great, our family enjoyed it, the only problem is the amount of foods, it's quite small. The service is fast, the crew are attentive.
We went there on Mother's day and the place was packed. But in spite of that, we got good service.
The food was really good. I highly recommend the pork sisig. It was so addictingly good, especially when paired with their ginataang sigarilyas with daing.
Also on our table:
1. Crispy noodles with crab omelet - now this was truly a surprise. It looked deceivingly "meh" when it arrived. But it was so good, we'd come back just to have it again.
2. kare-kare. The meat was so tender that it was such a delight to eat. It was a tad sweet but we liked it just the same.
3. Papaitan na sinampalukan - hardly had a bitter taste but it was still good.
4. Dinakdakan - it was good but I've had better
5. Pork binagoongan - again good but somehow forgettable
6. Garlicky Bangus - true to its word, it was garlicky. If you don't want too much, you can easily scrape off the fried garlic topping. The dipping sauce that came with it was really good
Overall, we were very happy to have waited for a table. It was really worth the wait.
*still thinking about that pork sisig*
This restaurant offers some pretty unique Filipino dishes and I loved the food here. The servers were attentive and there was something special about every bite I had here. Definitely going again!
My dad never likes trying new restaurants so when he suggested we drive all the way to UPTC instead of our usual SM Fairview or Fairview Terraces, super surprising. And! He suggested we try this restaurant. And we all loved it (but my dad didn't love the parking system of UPTC hayyyst). We ate: crispy pancit with crab omelette, pork sisig, dinakdakan, sinigang na baboy, adobong kangkong with lechon kawali bites. My favorite part was the dinakdakan and crispy pancit. Can't have leftovers though or it won't be crispy anymore. Medyo umay if you're less than 4 people eating it. The sinigang was flavorful! Wish The sisig was meh compared to Manam or Gerry's. Kangkong was passable but lechon kawali was good! The dinakdakan was so interesting! I like its complex flavor. :) I hope we can eat here again, or at least me and my BF hehe. Ambiance is nice and we met Chef Sandy and he was super down to earth and friendly! Made our day.
Place - Ambiance is great. Love the lighting.
Service - Very courteous crew and fast serving time 👍
Food - SUPER SATISFIED!!! Per serving is good for 2-3 pax. Here's what we ordered:
1. Beef Kare-kare @ Php375
2. Pork Sisig @ Php275
3. Garlic Rice @ Php140
4. Crispy Fish with Green Mango Salad @ Php220
P.S. Sorry no pictures. Hunger got the best of me 😝
I love the ambiance of this restaurant, it's so cozy that it makes you feel at home!
The food tastes deliciously homemade as well.
For me, the best combo is: Green Mango Salad with Garlic rice and any ulam.. yum!!!
Personal picks(usual orders whenever I visit wooden spoon/Casa Saza): Shrimp nuggets, crab pancit and kare-kare.
-Shrimp nuggets sauces are the bomb! The green one is my fave!
-Crab Pancit has an extraordinary taste; it’s basically fried noodles (it’s crunchy and white—I’m really not sure if it is Vermicelli) with crab paste made with aligue (?) whatever it is—it’s a win!
-Kare-kare (beef/seafood) is served smoking hot which I really like (my pet peeve) so boom! Also a win!

Chef Sandy finally brought back his well-loved (Wooden Spoon) dishes with a bigger and better resto to boast. As always, we were so happy to dig in our favorite dishes like stuffed pechay and Casa Daza crispy chicken. You can never - and I mean never - go wrong with that combo! Their fried chicken steak with gravy was kid-friendly and tasty, too, so it’s worth mentioning here. And finally, their garlic rice tastes as good as it looks.
Service is okay; not the best yet but it’s something you can brush off because you’ll focus more on their menu items.
Place is simple but clean and nice.
Basically, it’s an upgraded Wooden Spoon experience.
It was my first time to eat there this noon with my friends. The place was well lit and the staff were very courteous and attentive. Food was great! I was so happy to see on the menu that they also have my favorite stuffed pechay from their Wooden spoon resto. We also tried the crispy pancit crab omelette, it was so good its a must try! Their karekare is also good. Food was reasonably priced and good for sharing. Next time I will bring my mom there. Compliments to Chef Sandy and the whole staff.
Great tasting Filipino Cuisine!
Loved their Dinuguan Bagnet, Binagoongan, and Mango Crepe! Prices are very reasonable. Will visit again soon to try the other Chef Sandy dishes.

Ambience - 5
Service - 4 (I don’t think the waiters know what their specialties are although they were very quick)
Taste - 2.5
Dinuguan bagnet - 1 was looking for the crispiness of the bagnet. But the pieces were so small! Smaller than menudo!!
Tinapa rice - 3 some portions were stuck together like rice balls. It could’ve been yummy
Squid chilli and mushrooms - 3 it was highly recommended but we’re now wondering why. Nothing spectacular. Just right
Crispy pancit with crab omelette - 4.5 loved how the textures blended. The crispy pancit with the soft omelette with just hints of the crab.
Casa Daza crispy chicken - 4 As unappealing as it is tasty. Yummy really but it looked so sad.
Price - 2 although it was really cheap at P1,2++ for everything, it felt not so worth your money because the servings were small.
