When it comes to Maginhawa street 1st thing that comes to my mind is panciteria.their food was good, yummy, very generous portion & very affordable.no wonder lagi silang puno pg lunch & dinner time.all my friends whom i invited to eat there would want to come back to try other dishes.my all time favorite tokwa't baboy, torta & canton guisado really a must try combination.
Super sarap ng Torta at buttered chicken!!! The best sa Magingawa!!

Pancit the best! Just want to thank sila ate for being able to provide service pa rin kahit 3mins before closing time ako dumating. Maraming maraming salamat po! ❤️❤️❤️
Great food makes me come out of the woodwork and write a review! And Pakibalot’s Chop Suey just made me do that. I’ve never had chop suey this good - usually there’s one or two ingredients I don’t like, or it’s too dry and just...blah - but this one’s a game-changer. First off, there’s so much sabaw! I loved drowning my rice in it. There’s quality veggies in it, too: like green bell pepper and cauliflower. Then there’s your protein: an ample amount of lean pork and slivers of liver.
You like that? “Slivers of liver”? Hehe.
Lechon Kawali was standard but good nonetheless, a delicious accompaniment to the chop suey.
Servings are for sharing and are worth the money when it comes down to it. We were just taken aback when we were given silver paper plates and paper cups to use...until we realized that Metro Manila is having a water shortage and this is the restaurant’s way of not using any more water.
Prices are pretty steep for such a hole-in-the-wall place but once you taste the food, you’ll find out that it’s straightforward yet satisfyingly solid.
We live in the area and we buy food here when we suddenly have guests at home. Super mainstay na sa bahay or any family events. Winner yung tokwa't baboy, lumpia, camaron rebosado (although nagtaas na yung price nila. They should update their zomato menu). We also usually buy their pancit, super dami and nakakabusog. Pricier dishes than other panciteria but quality-wise has never failed us.
Their pancit with lechon is good. And so is their garlic rice. Must try, sobrang sulit. Medyo matagal lang ang pagseserve and pagluluto nung kumain kami kasi there were a lot of people.
Very mura ang price ng food nila.
Very large ang serving ng food.
Masarap ang special pancit with lechon toppings nila especially for someone na mapili sa pancit. Their menu really fits taste bud of "masang pinoy".
However, wag asahan ang good service and ambiance ng place nila. You go to this place for food lang talaga. Pero they do delivery so plus points yun 😉 That's why it's only 4!
I only opt for take-outs and delivery, and I can agree that their service is pretty slow. Our recent delivery took over an hour for some reason (I think they forgot about it). BUT HEY THE FOOD IS BETTER THAN 99% OF MAGINHAWA. It's my go-to place when I don't have homecooked meals from the province and I'm too lazy to cook.
They have large servings (2-4 orders can last me a week, may take-home pa). Super cheap and super sulit and served piping hot and fresh. The food may not be perfect but if you compare it to the other establishments in town, it's one of the best na. Their menu offerings can be a hit and miss though (e.g. the "buttered chicken" which was totally not what I expected - it's battered chicken pieces in a weird orange-colored sweet and bland "butter sauce"...eatable though, but kinda weird). When I first tasted the pancit with lechon, it was heaven; but now there's something amiss, perhaps they changed the recipe or switched chefs, or maybe I just got tired of it, idk. Still, it's a good eat. The camaron rebosado is perfect and they serve it generously.

Along Maginhawa, you wouldn't easily notice this eatery since it doesn't have any IG worthy interior nor fancy designs. It's just simple. We can say it's a carenderia. But I tell you, you won't regret eating here as it offers the best shanghai lumpia you'll taste. It tastes like chicken!!!!! I am not kidding. One of the best. Every occasion, we actually order a bilao of their shanghai paired with their pancit as well. Super worth it and surely binabalik-balikan!!
Number of times visited: more than 5X!
Parking:
Like most Maginhawa establishments, street parking. Best to go by foot.
Food:
Our favorite would be the bihon guisado with lechon. There’s an additional fee for adding lechon to the pancit but it’s so worth it(Php 30, why not?). We usually order this with lumpiang shanghai that tastes great as well. Tastes meaty and served newly-fried always. Sometimes we order the Torta also for variation. This is torta like no other. Meaty, thick, saucy but you still can taste the eggplant. This is a favorite!
The servings are big and good for more than 2 people.
Price:
Affordable, around Php150/person. And you might still have take-home due to the large servings. Even when re-heated, food tastes great.
Service:
They are usually fast and courteous but when there are a lot of customers they tend to be less attentive. They once forgot an order that we placed.
Place:
It may be hard to look for a table during peak dining times. For large groups, tables are joined to form a bigger dining area. The place is clean, not really focused on having a theme but that’s okay. When there’s a lot of cooking going on, there’s a lack of air circulation where sometimes the odour gets stuck inside. Airconditioned with a small outdoor dining area.
Repeat?
Yes, Craving for good pancit (not the instant kind) but not wanting to buy a bilao? This is the place. They do sell bilao sizes though, and they deliver as well as I have inquired before. Call to ask if they cover your area.
Our go to place for pancit in bilao and when we don't feel like cooking food for lunch. Their price is reasonable with the size of their serving. place is clean and attendants are friendly.
Parking can be a problem
The best pancit in town served generously is in Maginhawa Street and its called Pakibalot Panciteria. Their Miki Bihon gives a taste of heaven not to mention the juicy lechon that comes with it. Their Lumpiang Shanghai is also a must try. Will come back for more =)
