My go-to place for when I'm craving ramen. Servings are big too. Love their sashimi and rolls ❤️
Ajisen Ramen
Ramen wasn't rich but it did supply that umami taste. The toppings were good especially the crunchy vegetables. Portion was also good! Overall still happy with this dish. :)
They have new items on the menu! The spicy wanton is worth getting, great flavor. I like the katsudon and spicy tuna. I think their service has improved a lot. Food is consistent as well
The only japanese restaurant where my husband likes to eat in the area. If you like spicy ramen, dont hesitate to order spicy tantanmen, you wont regret it. As for the rice toppings, it’ll be gyudon all the way and my daughter really likes their tamagoyaki so you might want to try it as an appetizer.
Tried their kon ramen, their spicy tuna, and their agedashi tofu. Their spicy tuna is a bit pricey given its size, well most all of their sushi is kind of overpriced. Their ramen is fine, it's got a good garlic hit which is nice, the cabbage is a bit too chunky, but their chasu is good. One thing I appreciate in Ajisen is that they actually use Japanese rice, and that's not something you always see in Japanese restaurants.
We ordered:
Crunchy maki (which is good) 👍🏻
Ajisen ramen - not bad though lacking some in the taste of the soup. The wheat noodles is perfect.
Katsudon - not bad, however, the Japanese rice seems lacking in water.
First time to try here. Not bad. But we will surely be back.

Food was okay. Nothing extra special. Gyoza is good too. My ramen tastes ordinary. But I might comeback to try their other dishes. I like that they serve us house tea right away.

I've had better salmon sashimi at that price. Same is true for the kani salad. Crunchy roll was okay. Service was a wee bit slow, ambience, just fine.
I would like to commend the friendly staff of this restaurant. Having a school near Banawe, every time I worked myself in school I often go to this place. I usually order the Chashu ramen or Chashu rice bowl. The taste is good although I long for the rich and thick soup base. For dessert, I usually order banana tempura. I love the concept of this dessert because it is not common to see a banana dipped in batter and served with vanilla ice cream.
It was my first time at any one of their branches. Frankly, I had no idea there was a branch near Banawe... But one night, I was out with my then bf and his batchmate for dinner, both Banawe boys at the moment... They were dead set on having dinner here, being bitten by a ramen craving...
I hesitated. I am typically a bit serious when I'm on study mode. I don't like trying new things, preferring to be surrounded only by the familiar to avoid any distractions. Down to my restaurant choices, strict right? But, I think I was in need of a break that night. So I gave in.
This restaurant is located in an area I haven't been to before. But it was a nice, wide place with lots of parking spaces; in stark contrast to the typical Banawe establishment which sacrifices parking.
Upon entering, we were showered with attention by the servers. Wow! Let me tell you the service was on point. The staff were super nice and attentive! My tea cup and water glass were always filled. The food was served in record time. Everyone was all smiles too! Nice!👍
I decided to join the bandwagon and order ramen too... I got the Tantanmen, easy on the spice... The bf and friend had the ajisen and chasu ramen respectively... They also ordered gyoza, agedashi tofu, spicy tuna and dragon roll to start off our meal.
Since I was a newbie, I thought the servings were small judging from their orders... Oh my goodness, was I wrong! There was soooooo much food. We could have fed two more extra people, seriously... I think the two boys realized that they overreached as well when the food could no longer fit a table for four. #duuuuuuuuuuuudddddeeee 😅😅😅
The gyoza was typical, which was okay. I loved their spicy tuna, super addicting... The Dragon roll was also pretty good, but it was really filling... It was made up of ebi tempura, cucumber, and mangoes-- my bf's favorite roll there apparently... I didn't try the tofu anymore, because I needed to save space for my actual order...😅😅😅
Anyway, I liked my tantanmen... It's not Yushoken, but I liked it... Rich, spicy broth with hard noodles and minced pork. I enjoyed it, definitely... I didn't try my bf's ajisen ramen, which had bbq pork, boiled egg and cabbage... He liked it though... Our friend liked the chasu ramen, which was served with torikatsu on the side. We all shared the torikatsu as well-- pretty good... Sooooooo much food!!!😂😂😂
It was definitely not a cheap meal, though I was spoiled by the boys... They always do!❤️ I just think we majorly overordered... You would think we haven't eaten in days...
Btw, not one of us finished our respective ramens. Seriously.
Banawe is not your go to place in Quezon City when looking for new food. It's strip mostly has franchised and mainstream restaurants. One of these is Ajisen Ramen, they currently have 5 stores.
The success of their Japanese lies on the balance of authenticity and affordability. They have a full range of offering besides Ramen. Here you can also dive in on Sushi, Gyoza, Tonkatsu and rice bowls.
I enjoyed my Chicken Teriyaki bowl a lot. It was a good move for me to have them take out its slimy and sticky chicken skin and leave behind lean and tender meat. The sauce was perfectly sweet and salty.
A generous portion of Yasai Itame was as delicious. It's fresh and crispy. I appreciate also they took out the onions and replaced it with more carrots.
When we think of a Japanese resto in Banawe this first comes to mind. It never disappoint. Ambiance is good. Serving price and size is also good for a sushi. Food is great especially their specialty Maki Crazy Roll and Jurassic Roll. Not a fan of ramen but their ramen is good and also their donburi.
Ordered my favorites like sake salmon sushi, tamago egg sushi, maguro tuna sushi and lastly UNaGI eel sushi. I like eating my sushi with my 3 fingers unfortunately theres no towel for cleaning. As I picked up the sushi some rice fell apart :( its like theres a gap in each rice. The quality of rice for me is average. Im searching for that vinegar kick. The salmon and tuna was a bit dry. But the Unagi is yummy, the bite was right i xan tatse the seaweeds and the grilled sauce is also yummy. Moist unagi very good :)

Living and baby-sitting my niece for the week and she has been pestering me to have noodles for dinner. When I ask her where she wants to eat, she shouts, "Ajisen!", and so here we are.
Ajisen has been a favorite for our family for a long time. I remember we even dined at it for weeks in a year. Ajisen serves good ramen and Japanese food.
Since it's a different branch from our usual at Robinsons Manila, we also tried to order differently. They have new additions. I tried their congee and it was light and flavorful. Filled with diced tender chicken, seaweed, and vegetables, serving is big enough for two.
My wife had Zaru Soba. A good version, but lacking the texture of a quail egg. we changed the spicy tuna sashimi to spicy salmon sashimi. The flavors are good but the salmon doesn't seem fresh.
First, the service is really good, from the guard to the staff. Second, they have lot of authentic japanese food to choose from and the serving is really big. I have a bit problem with the price though, before we always come here because it has great food and it fits our budget but then suddenly they increased somehow and I find it a bit high. We still come from time to time because it's the taste we're really after.
Japanese once again! The place is okay and it has Japanese feels. The service is good since they were attentive to our needs. Once you sit, they'll ask you if you want tea and serve is soon. The service time is kind of fast. Ordered oyakudon and crunch roll. I love both. The rice is sticky and the oyakudon is full of flavor. I just wish there would be more choices of rolls like Philadelphia roll. Hehehe. ❤️✌️🍣
Food: 3/5. I had the salmon sashimi and spicy ajisen ramen, while my family had the crunchy roll and the kani salad. I liked the food, it was tasy and comforting, but i wouldn't say that it blew my mind away. I liked it much better than Oedo, though.
Service: 4/5. The waiters are fast and efficient.
Ambiance: 3/5. Nothing fancy, but the place was clean and well-lit. There was ample parking, too.
Value for money: 3/5. Not as expensive as other ramen restaurants (such as ramen nagi)
Bottomline: if you're craving for japanese and are stuck in the banawe area, this is not a bad place to eat.
Quite hidden in the streets of banawe is a branch of ajisen. I've also seen branches of Ajise in the busy street of HK. This branch is quite small but they have another big room at the back of the resto. The service also superb very fast and attentive crew. Their ramen are good but definitely not the best. I love their fresh tuna and the chirashi are also plated beautifully. 👍
👎toilet needs improvement.

i love eating ramen and i love noodles that is why this resto make a thumbs up for me..although it should me more pleasant presentation
I like eating Ramen but I'm no expert on this. My friends, on the other hand, know where to get the best Ramen in town.
Last weekend, we went to Banawe to eat Ramen at Ajisen Ramen. I haven't heard about this. They haven't tried eating here too but it was suggested to them by friend. Word of mouth is really powerful as powerful as the reviews that can be seen and read in the internet.
The place was spacious. There was parking available even if it was almost dinner time. Reasons probably are: it's a Sunday and most people love going to malls and eat there and the location isn't that accessible or visible.
The place was clean and all of the staff were courteous. They serve house tea and it was good. This is what I like with Japanese restaurants (and also Chinese restaurants). I love their tea. It's actually better than water or any sodas.
My friend and I ordered Spicy Ramen and requested it to be split into two. We also ordered Crunchy Rolls for sharing. The Spicy Ramen is beef stock broth based. It has veggies, century egg, and spicy beef topping. It was delicious. I loved the spicy beef toppings. It wasn't that salty and the spicy flavor was just perfect. It was perfect also for the weather because it rained last night. One order was really huge. I don't think I can finish it all by myself.
The Crunchy Roll was good too. I love it. I can't wait to eat here again. I think I want to try their tempura next time. They only have 3 branches based on their website. I think that's all right instead of putting a lot of branches inside different malls. Chances are the quality of their food would change if this would happen.
