Love the food and the place.
Owner is very friendly as well as the staff. :-)
It is a hidden gem. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to our friends.
This place is my favorite hangout when I was still living in New York, Cubao, just a jeepney ride away. The food is great, the crew were attentive, courteous, serving your food with a smile. And their brewed coffee is great, better than well-known coffee houses. I've met the amiable owner and some personalities like that pretty girl who's vying for a one-way trip to Mars!
Thank you. Hope to eat there again. I am now based in Negros Island.

Under new managememt, I thought they lost touch of the old fashioned pandesal they usually pugon baked but purchasing their raisin bread and tasty bread and tasted them all brings back the same bread goodness we were accustomed to
As a COFFEE lover, every morning.. I usually starts my breakfast with coffee and bread, also having at the same time is browsing in media sites with visiting kb's featured baked in their pages too which I noticed lately that bread being posted by kb's are now including in my dream to taste soon :)
Luv' their pancit bihon, breads and their coffee too! Not to mention that the prices are quite reasonable
Napakahusay na kapihan, napaka simple pero puno sa lasa ng ala-ala ng pagkabata...
Lutong bahay. Better taste than anywhere. Hot and yummy.
OMG after watching kris TV gusto ko nang umuwi sa pinas to eat all your vintage bread pandesal , pandecoco at Kalihim remember when I was in elementary grade I used to buy Kalihim . Great and good luck more visitors to come and eat on your resto
Great foods at affordable price i love the cake and pastries specially the strawberrycheese cake. Ambiance is great..
I've been eyeing the Slow-cooked Roasted Chicken for a while now and I finally got my hands on it yesterday! For P345, it's so worth it, it tasted like Christmas, so yummy, the meat is so tender and even the insides tasted incredible, you won't really need a sauce. Pancit bihon is also delicious and they got big serving. I ordered the smallest bilao for P370 it's super sulit and you'll surely get your money's worth. All of them came with complimentary pandesal which is so soft and baked fresh. Will definitely order again. Thanks to Ms. Ruby who assisted me with my order thru Viber. More power to you guys!

Love the ensaymadas, cheese rolls, bicho-bicho and cinnamon rolls in this iconic bakery! Can’t wait for them to rebuild and try their cafe items! For now, you can still take out pastries and assorted bread and like this morning, they had tuna pan de sal sandwich ❤️
Can the common, traditional pan de sal spark conversation on helping shed light on hunger alleviation as well as heritage preservation, Eden thinks as it joins World Pan de Sal Day this year. World Pan de Sak Day falls on 16 October, which is actually World Bread Day. As a tribute to Filipinos’ daily bread, World Pan de Sal Dat was launched in 2015 by the heritage and artisanal Kamuning Bakery Cafe, famous for its bread cooked in a traditional Pugon or stone oven. Although destroyed by fire last February 2017, the 79-year-old neighborhood bakery will have its partial reopening also on 16 October 2018.
Went here to have a lovely breakfast. Unfortunately, they were having a pandesal forum. I was so heartbroken. I wanted to experience the vibe first hand.
Nevertheless, we ordered breakfast. Theirs was sulit- it was worth your money. The adobo was pale and soaked in vinegar it but lacked the brownish soy sauce color and flavor. Would have been better had they put some soy sauce, or at least a splash of saltiness. The Duterte burger meanwhile delivered as promised. It was in a huge pandesal and the meat tasted like it had no extenders in it. It was pure beefy goodness.
Sadly, the place was still quite messy, with some corners gathering dust and some cake designs were kept, despite looking ghastly. They could more in terms of interiors and house keeping.
The best place in Quezon City to buy premium pastries at an affordable price. Pan de Legazpi, Pan de Rizal, and especially my favorite, Pan de Coco. The ingredients were really authentically premium. You can even see them on how they make the pastries in their kitchen. Definitely there would be an again or me here.
Serving of their old fashioned chicken just made me remember that simple things can be enjoyed when done well.
The bread and their pastries are of really soft texture. The breads they got are of course the Filipino classics we have here in metro.
pretty cafe, good coffee, good food. get the pomodoro vs puttanesca :) Don't forget to drop by their bakery and get pan de sal, perfect with holly's kesong puti and gouda cheese which the bakery also carries. hope kamuning bakery will also carry dojo ice cream along with carmen's best ☺️

If you want to have a peaceful dining with friends or lover, then this place is a must try in kamuning. We tried the chicken sisig pasta and the chicken pesto and both are just LOVELY! it comes with a free drink ( the drink was weird. It taste like an iced orange tea or a lemon tea with orange in it. idk. but it taste good)
We also ordered 2pc. chicken basket with bread, it's an OK food. A bit pricey.. The sauce was great though, hands up to that.
As for dessert, we ordered a slice of blueberry cheesecake and they really lived up to their business name as a BAKERY. It's really delicious :)
The shop is worth more tries :)
PS: I hope they'll have the pugon menu back. I want to taste their pugon chicken and pork :(
A bakery with an indoor air conditioned cafe at the side. Awesome pandesal sandwiches and pastas. Cafe americano is very good from their legit espresso machine. Service is top notch and very high level especially relative to their very affordable pricing! They have a bakery at the side where you can just pass by and pick up pastries and breads.
Heard so much about this bakery and decided to finally try it out!
They have 3 stores, first stop was at the bakery where they sell all bread and pastries. I tried all that I could get...cheese roll, Spanish bread, pandecoco, butter toast, panderegla, hopia and their best seller---egg pie which was good as it's not sweet and texture was perfect!
The second stop was a quick look at their desserts comprising of all cakes that you can think of. From caramel cake to yema roll and the traditional birthday layered cake. We'll try this next time.
The last stop was where I know their famous of...their cafe! Place looks very nice, warm, rustic and walls filled with their memory lane.
They served very affordable meals and good ones too! Tried their 3 best selling dishes ---pandesal with kesong puti (tasted like grilled cheese) and oh boy was it good and unforgettable! Next was their chicken sisig pasta which was just so-so for me. What I liked best was their Tapa with garlic rice, egg and a side dish of atchara. Best part, all of what I've ordered was just p460! Great steal.
*Palatability*
Mochaccino Cake P65
This fluffy sponge cake is served with just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee-choco buttercream icing is very light and soft to the tounge. The cake filling also complimented the cake.
One thing that needs to improve in this cake is its ability to stand its form. The cake was served a bit deformed, made me thought it was reheated before serving. The staff clarified the cake was too soft thus gets deformed every time it gets sliced. The photo I took was able to hide that deformity.
*Price*
Budget friendly. For desserts alone, you can spend between P50 - P150.
*Personality*
The place gives you a lot of historical memorabilia. You'd have to learn the history of the place to better enjoy the food. This is one of my goto places after I have learned about the new owner's business strategy of redeeming the store. His ingenuity was truly an inspiration.
The crew is accomodating and attentive, including the guard. I only ordered cake and yet was automatically given clean drinking water, and served it before we even ask for it.
I would truly come back here and try their other cakes.
After my meaty and beefy lunch at #SnackarooSteakHouse I went to the nearest cafe for a coffee.☕️ Kamuning Bakery and Cafe was established since 1939 😱 serving the best varieties of bread to us. 😃🍞 It is located in front of #Snackaroo at Scout Ybardolaza St., Kamuning, Quezon City. I tried delicious breads for as low as P8.00 paired with brewed Benguet coffee. 😍

I've been eating breads from Kamuning Bakery since my childhood. My Lola loves it so does my mom and now I am too.
What makes Kamuning Bakery a quintessential bakery is the fact that they make Filipino artisan breads done the old rustic way- pugon stone brick oven way. And good news the cafe is now open.
The PAN de SUELO- If you happen to just drop by to grab some bread then better have the best tasting local bread and WARNING this is not your typical 'bakery sa kanto pandesal' that is soft and fluffy. Kamuning Bakery's pandesuelo mirrors the past- the way it was done century ago. It is huge and hard (not fluffy soft) but nice to chew on. When I mean hard it does not imply that the bread is old theirs is always freshly baked. The pandesuelo here is heavy- really heavy. Just bought a pack the other day and I can calculate it's more or less a kilo in weight. It could only mean that they don't use extenders and utilized only the finest bread flour. Although it looks tough to eat since it got a hard texture but I enjoyed munching on it with or without palaman. (filling). I normally slice each piece and enjoy the hickory taste that comes from firewood used on the traditional pugon oven. The distinct flavor is so unique in the mouth and I totally crave it. I could go on and on with just this Kamuning Bakery popular bread.haha. 5-STARS
AMBIANCE- Nostalgic, feels homey like I'm missing our old house. The recent renovation opened up more space but mornings on a weekend can be crowded. Love the colored glass pane and the furniture.
SERVICE- The crew is efficient and attentive.
FOOD- Good thing the old bakery is now a full eatery with various entrees on their menu. Quality wise I could say Kamuning Bakery always makes it their priority. My last visit the other week was with my mom and we enjoyed what we ordered.
*Bolognese Pasta- Perfectly cooked al dente way. The tomato sauce is quite refreshing plus the cheese on top is generously sprinkled. Perfect with the bread. Must order- 5 STARS
*Pan De Suelo Burger- For a burger lover like us we ordered this. Although the beef was done fresh certain elements of taste are lacking perhaps a bit seasoning will do. Fries comes on the side but would highly appreciate it if the create a tangy dip than use ordinary ketchup. It tasted good but would be better if the bread is toasted which would make it easier to bite and chew. 4 STARS
*Cheesecake- My mom is a sucker for cheesecake so we ordered one. I don't really hate nor rave about it. It lacks the cheesiness that we expected from a cheesecake. 3 STARS
*KAPE- We ordered kape Amerikano and Cappuccino. Coffees here are quite good. 5 STARS
Will I recommend Kamuning Bakery? YES! Definitely yes, since they offer Filipino artisan breads, great pasta and satisfying dishes. I will surely comeback to sample more of their food very soon.
Kamuning Bakery is one of the more popular names in the modern "panaderya" industry. My friends from the area always buy pandesal from this store to be served during, yes, dinner for friends, the "handaan" as we know it. It must be that special, then. The pandesal, though tasting like the traditional pandesal, gives that hint of higher quality flour and proper baking; soft yet full, plain but good. As a common practice among Filipinos, it is better paired with a cup of coffee and the company of friends.

It wad my first time to visit Kamuning Bakery Cafe and I fell in love with the place. It was full of history and good food. Their pandesal with bacon was delicious so is their pasta sisig. One thing I also love about Kamuning Bakery is their kape mocha... i just love the combination of flavors.
I highly recommend Kamuning Bakery Cafe. Rich in history and packed with good food you will enjoy :)
Hearty menu with superior ambiance.
Highly recommended for those who appreciate their food served without fuzz; and their restaurant ambiance to be quaint and simple.
Commendation is also in order for their clean lavatory and rest room, complete with hotel-level toiletries (ladies, they have lotion!).
A new cafe with an old and rich history. A fruit of a successul kamuning bakery or panederia dating back from 1939 and known for their pan de suelo.
They serve decent local and tagalog coffee, Filipino breakfasts, pasta, and desserts.
Dinning is more of historical appreciation and patronage of their old community tradition, than a culinary experience. And I do love the place.
A panederia with a very rich history dating back in 1939. It is known for its "pan de suelo", pandesal baked not only using pugon but placed on their old pre Japanese era oven floor. They claim that they still use it today giving their pandesal a rich smoked flavor. Not sweet as the usual pugon breads today but the newer generation may find a hard time appreciating it because it's a little bland and not really the same as today's pandesal.
You may read on some articles or even recent blogs about the places' history and it's really interesting and inspiring. A favorite of late presidents Manuel Quezon and Corry Aquino, as they use to serve breads in numerous big establishments in the metro before.
Today they serve almost all types of local breads, and even pies and cakes. In fact, they already have a cafe beside them. But still the "pan de suelo" remains to be their specialty. Consume it as soon as you get it cause it gets hard easily. But I don't mind as long as I consume it with a cup of coffee. As the saying goes: "walang matigas na tinapay sa mainit na kape".
The place was recently featured in the Famous Morning show - KrisTv. The place features the local food heritage from all over the country. They serve an all day breakfast, pastas with Local Filipino twists, sandwiches etc. This place promotes our local products. They coffees which ar locally grown here in Pinas as well as fresh milk from the local farms. Dining here was a worth it experience and we were satisfied for the value of our money. The crews welcome you with warm smile and we sure did received a quick service. Surely I would be a regular customer as I am from a nearby neighborhood.
Pls go our place is the old house concept and the food are very good and our cakes are very yummy. It's a cool place and our price are okey..

Since it was featured in Kris TV, been frequented by customers. The servers are rattled when the place was full. Food is good but a little bit pricey. Too long to wait. After eating, the guy beside us who came ahead still follow up his order. I asked MJ the cashier featured at Kris Tv to have picture but no time for us!!! Need to leave the place immediately for others. Since its Sunday morning probably peak day...
When I was young, my mother used to bring delicious breads from bakeries near her working area. She used to work somewhere in Quezon City where there are lots of bakeries and pastries shop. In the family, we are in love with bread. Name it, we'll love it. We grew up with breads on our tables so we can't deny how much we crave for these pieces of heaven up 'til now we are young adults. say what? :)
Recently, I together with online media friends, visited the historical Kamuning Bakery along Judge Jimenez street. I am actually wondering why do people call it historical because when we got there it was just a typical bakery with typical scent of a pastry shop, which I really really love.
The questions in my head were answered when the new owner of the bakery Wilson Lee Flores, respected journalist and businessman, discussed why it was historical. Well, it's quite long but to cut it short, the bakery was once owned by a family and was sold to Mr. Flores with conditions that he wouldn't change anything that may displease the old owner of the bakeshop. To add, this bakery is also popular to celebrities and even known politicians especially Former Presidents Quezon and Cory Aquino.
While we were eating and doing food tasting, I can see people coming in and buying bulks of bread from time to time. From there, I can say that Kamuning Bakery is really doing good when it comes to sales and all. This is because of their yummy products which I really like!
I got to try their Pandesal, which Filipinos really love even Pinoys abroad. I didn't know that pandesal would go well with pork & beans. That was my first time to try that one and it was awesome. I would recommend this. Ha!
I can hear people say that QC Christmas celebration will not be complete without Kamuning Bakery's Pan De Suelo. There is also a story behind this bread. I would suggest you visit their bakery and ask what is the history of this bread. Interesting! For this, the bread is not that soft outside but super soft inside. The bread melts in the mouth. It's so tasty that it can stand alone without any spread. Great job KB!
Cheesecake - P55
This one I bought for P55 and it tastes really good. I love the cheesy taste without the saltiness. I feel like I am eating a slice of worth-more-than-a-hundred-peso cake. This a must-try in KB!
If you are curious about why Kamuning Bakery is historical, you may drop by their store located near Tomas Morato along Judge Jimenez street.
Dok Tour-approved!
Cheers!~
