We live near West Triangle, and I can safely say that Gulliver's is one of those reliable restaurants that I can go to every Sunday. The ambiance of the restaurant is top notch giving you a vintage English vibes. At night they have a pianist to set the mood of the dinner. The food is 8-9/10, I know that they can do better in the presentation of the food. The staff is also very accommodating, from the drinks to serving the food. I will definitely go back after this pandemic.
Absolutely enjoyed dinner at Gulliver's! Although the fisherman's pasta and the sides are so-so, I absolutely love the beef and the French onion soup (forgot to take a photo)! We wanted to have the beef medium but it came out pretty medium rare, especially near the bone and the center. Next time that I come with my mom, we'll ask for medium well. The au jus makes it even more beefier without overpowering (unlike gravy). French onion soup was surprisingly only good for 1 but we still enjoyed it, especially the fact that the onions weren't too overcooked.
The pasta felt like something I can get from a much cheaper place. Not their specialty. The sides were so-so, mostly sweet.
Just spent our new year's eve at Gulliver's and they did not disappoint. For small families, it's more practical nowadays to just dine out on Christmas and NY's eve instead of cooking grand at home.
We tried their Prime Rib set- Petite cut and Gulliver's cut. Petite cut is 200g priced at P980 while the Gulliver's cut is P1200 for 250g. Doneness: Medium
It comes with Yorkshire Pudding, Baked Potato, Spinach Soufflé and Creamed Corn. We also ordered Ceasar Salad.
We prefer their version of Prime Rib over Cru's. Their version is simple, classic and has no tendon at all. The steak sauce is quite soupy though. Not a fan. I poured a little too much and it seems like I was eating Bulalo soup in Mahogany market. 🤣 A1 always saves the day.
Ceasar Salad- boring; I should've ordered the Gulliver's salad instead. Sides- All needs improvement.
