Masarap ang luto.
Sisig
-requested crispy, served crispy
Bulalo
-fresh at malambot ang meat, malinamnam ang sabaw
Chicken chops
-HOEMAYGAD eto ang pinakafavorite ko sa lahat dahil fresh ang manok na ginamit, cooked at the right temperature at seasoned well, not maalat
At napakalinis at bango ng CR. Well mga 4pm kame kase pumunta so I guess ganun. It just says a lot about sa may-ari ng restaurant.
Salamat at babalik kame mwah
Hubby and I decided to chill and have a night out so we arrived around midnight on a Saturday and the outdoor tables are very lively with lots of groups hanging out and enjoying their beers. We opted to dine inside the resto with only our table and another table occupied so it was not as noisy as outside.
A lot of the items in the menu were no longer available (ie Crispy Pata, Sugpo, PlaPla etc) so we had sisig, pansit musika, crispy squid heads and bakang maanghang.
We loved everything except for hubby not being a fan of the sisig because it was sweet and spicy, he prefers his meat salty not sweet, but I loved it! Pancit was similar to pad thai! Yum! Bakang maanghang was good, peppery so hubby loved it, I on the other hand was just ok with it. Crispy Squid Heads were good too!
We’ll definitely go back to try their other offerings.
Serving time was quite long, but food was good so it was worth the wait. Ambiance and lighting is good as well mainly because of the chandelier. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Last time i visited Manila had gone to this place once and then was there every evening having food and beer. Its the place here to have some beers and gorge on Pork Sisig, Squid head fry, etc... you should not miss this at all if you are in this part of the city
Late dinner here a while ago with tita and tito. Very Filipino. I love the bulalo and maanghang na baka. Definitely will go back to try other dishes. :)
I was young when I first came across this resto. It made a fantabulous come back when owners of Icebergs partnered with them. They just put Filipino cuisine in a bigger light. Must try their Pochero Bulalo that comes in 3 sizes. The seafood dish is yummy!
I've been seeing this restaurant almost all my life since this is some old school restaurant in manila but i never really get a chance to try it until a friend told me that they have the best puchero and bulalo.. I didn't know that the pocherong bulalo is one! Wow! In my surprise it is absolutely amazing.. Plus we also had the spicy mixed seafood.. And again, amazing! I even told my friend, how come i figured this out just now? So after this, i'm sure will be back here.. No doubt about that.
