For dinner tonight, Mia and I had an excellent Shabu Shabu in Tong Yang Express. They have a fixed set, or you can customize one as well. We decided why not both.
It turned out to be quite expensive at Php 681. I guess because I got carried away in adding items. The beef, noodles, soup, and rice were some of my extra orders.
Mia got the Satay, while I settled for spicy but flavorful Laksa soup. I also love my create your own sauce, which paired well with the meats and the various kinds of balls.
If you're craving for shabu shabu / hot pot dish, just head on to Tong Yang Express in SM Pasig. The place is quite accessible.
It offers variety of meat slices, seafood, veggies and meatballs together with dipping sauces and etc.
🐽 Food: One of the best hot pot restaurants in the metro! They have set meals that you can choose from or you can just DIY. We chose to DIY. It costs almost the same but the good thing is we were able to choose what we liked from the menu. There are lots of toppings to choose from. They have meat, seafood, veggies, fish balls/squid balls, noodles, etc. The Angus beef was really delicious! Make sure to order it. There are many flavors for the soup. I personally like Satay. They refill your soup when necessary.
🍹 Drinks: I haven’t tried any of their drinks. I’m pretty sure they have sodas and beers.
🍴Ambiance: Good for big groups and families. Each of you will have a small hotpot. It’s one of the reasons why I like this place too. You don’t need to share your hotpot with others.
👫 Service: The staff were approachable although some of them pretend that they don’t see you when you call them. I’m sure the management can talk to their servers about this.
💸 Price: Very affordable! Such a good deal!
