I was pleasantly surprised with the cheese tart and red bean bun at Mr Park. While the appearance may be left wanting, the red bean bun was quite soft and the filling tasted good. Usually red bean leaves a strong beany aftertaste but not this one. The only thing I didn't like is that it gets squished easily and looks quite flat.

The cheese tart is good too! Just the right hint of cream cheese and sweetness. I couldn't help but eat two.

I will definitely come back and try the other pastries.

Pros:

The ambience is accomodating and relaxing, and it's perfect to have a meal in peace, or have a conversation without the need to shout due to loud music or noisy customers.

There are enough tables, chairs, and sofas to accomodate a decent number of customers.

My all-time favorite is their chicken tortilla at PHP136 (best if cold) and their banana cake at PHP98 (best if warm), which is well worth the price and more than enough for 2 or even 3. I have yet to try their cakes which look great.

Cons:

Their mini burgers and any of their other sandwiches because have either pineapple inside or too many sauces and are too sweet.

As soon as you enter and approach the middle area where the bread is displayed, a waiter or waitress will start following you with a tray even though you tell him/her that you can do it yourself or that there's no need, and it's annoying. They won't stop following you until you pick an item, that is unless you really insist and take the tray yourself.

Service:

Overall their service is good, although it would be better if a waiter/waitress were assigned to keep an eye on the customers that are dining in, in case they might need something. (I'm saying this because, yes, they follow you and try to assist you as soon as you enter, but once you get served and everybody is seated, the waiters/waitresses all stay behind the counter chatting and laughing, until they hear someone coming in or calling out their attention).

Will I come back?

I'll surely keep coming back for their chicken tortilla (although unfortunately not always available) and their banana cake, and for the ambiance.

Staff are polite and very assistive. The place is clean and comfortable. The music isn't too loud.

The cafe mocha is very delectable. The temperature isn't boiling hot so you can drink it as served. They also serve one of the true-to-the-original ddeokbokki.

Will definitely come by again when I'm around the area.

Since I'm too early for my meeting. I then look a place to stay and do my work. I super love breads and pastries btw so I decided to have my breakfast at Mr. Park's while working.

- Filipino staff there were polite
- They even helped me on charging my drained laptop to their counter. 😊👍🏻

•Ambiance:
- Very big, quiet and relaxing place even without background music.
- Great lighting and wall murals and decors.

•Interior:
- Overall, it kinda looks Korean pastry shop and its nice.

•Hygiene:
- The place is very clean. No electrical sockets on tables

Dont get yourself pressured when you come here for the first time and a staff immmediately follows you around with a tong and a basket😂 yeap they assist you with your orders. (And no the pastries are not that heavy. Lol)

The place is nice. I mostly see koreans hanging around. On weekends they have this tutoring/study sessions for their kids so the place can be a bit crowded.

The food is good. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Love the place! Plus its 24hrs! good place to study apart from your usually coffee shops.

Mr. Park's Bread & Cake is a cozy Korean-style and owned cafe/bakery located at the ground floor of Eton Emerald Lofts, in the corner of Emerald Avenue (now F. Ortigas Jr. Road) and Garnet Road. After I had a late ramen lunch at Sopoong Food House, I just crossed the street because Mr. Park's could easily be seen from there.

I was a bit disappointed because Sopoong did not have any toasts available at the time. Bingsu? It was too cold for that. Luckily, there was Mr. Park's to satisfy my cravings for sweet breads and pastries, coupled with a good up of good coffee.

The area was nicely lit, seats were comfortable, and it also had a free Wi-Fi connection.

Mr. Park's -- at least this branch -- is also known for its super-friendly staff. They would give me recommendations as I was looking at their mouthwatering cakes and pastries, both savory and sweet. They seemed quite knowledgeable about baked goods. They were following me around as I moved from one place from another, while browsing at the cakes and pastries. The knowledge that someone was behind you while you were looking at their stuff and was trying to decide what to choose -- that was kind of unnerving. But I could otherwise tolerate that and I even had a small chit-chat with one of the crew members. Hahaha. 😁

This particular part of Ortigas Center is like a little Koreatown of sorts. So naturally, South Korean nationals frequent this place. So while I was inside the cafe I felt like I was in a K-Drama -- ung eksenang magkikita sila sa isang coffee shop para mag-usap ng masinsinan.  Hahahaha.

What I had for dine-in:
💠 Blueberry pastry (₱76) - Nice and flaky. Filling-to-pastry ratio was just right and even.

💠 Americano, hot, strong (₱100) -- kala mo kung sinong Amerikanong "hot" and "strong." Yun pala kape. HAHAHAHA. 😂

For take out:
💠 Macarons (₱58 each -- they had a buy-two-take-one macaron promo) - I chose two Green Tea's and one chocolate. I tried the green tea. I was a bit disappointed because I was looking for the strong, earthy, grassy matcha/green tea flavor. This Green Tea macaron, however, was just sweet. It only had a miniscule hint of the green tea.

💠 Nunetine (₱45) - I was curious about this long bar of pastry. I did not remember exactly what the crew member said, but she mentioned caramel. So I bought it. It was a puff pastry stick with a caramel flavor. I tried this at home with my coffee. It was good and had a nice bite. It had the characteristic diamond patterns on its crust. I forgot to take a picture of it on its entirety, as I have already eaten almost half of it hehehehe.

Because of the free Wi-Fi, I lingered there longer than I expected. It also makes a perfect place for business meetings and for studying. In fact, I was beside two Korean girls who seemed to be reviewing together for an exam or doing their assignments.

CCTV INSIDE THE RESTROOM?

The establishment had a nice-looking restroom, but the lighting was dim.

When I saw the laminated copy of the CCTV inspection "certification" on the restroom wall, I panicked a bit 😨 and looked around if there was any hidden camera before relieving myself. But beside the certification is a clarification (written in both Tagalog and Korean) which put an end to the rumors that there was a CCTV camera hidden inside their restroom. It implied that it was all a fabrication meant to ruin their reputation. I didn't know who spread the rumor or why there was such a rumor, but the thing was it really made me into a nervous wreck hahahaha.  😅

Other than that, it was a good first experience a Mr. Park's Bread & Cake. I wasn't able to take pictures of their cakes, but when I come back I will try their most recommended flavors such as Nutella cheesecake and sweet potato cake.

It also serves meals like cream soup, pasta, and savory rice cakes like tteokbokki as well as bingsu's, frappes, ades and teas. They have an interesting selection of pastries so my first experience here warrants another visit.

Big fan of this establishment. While their quality in most branches are consistent, this Ortigas branch has the friendliest staff.

The Giant Croquette is the bomb. It's basically a deep fried salad pocket but not too oily.

I always see Mr. Parks whenever I walk around Ortigas but never bothered to try ut. Just late 2017, a friend introduced me to the cafe and I’m so glad she did! I first tried just the butter croissant because its one of my favorite pastries. The flakiness and softness is just perfect and I really enjoyed the butter flavour. In some cafes, I can barely taste the butter from their ‘butter’ croissant.

I have also tried the red bean pastry, cream danish, blueberry danish, cream puffs and chocolate crumble, chocolate croissant, egg tart..and they all taste soo good! 😍

One more thing I like is that they offer their Americano in strong and mild variants. Strong will get 2 espresso shots and mild with only one shot. And for the same price! :)

Since then this has been my go to cafe in the area.

FOOD
The following are what I've tasted so far, and it never disappoints.. I think the price is worth it for bingsu (previously sold for sharing but now sold individually) and I think the reason behind it is the number of persons eating only ONE order.

AMBIANCE
Wifi is available and the café is airconditioned, which means lifeu. I can stay here for hours.

SERVICE
Service is good but once you ask for extra spoons and bowls for the bingsu, things get complicated.. Before, we were 6 and just had dinner at Kko Kko so we WERE SO FULL we only want something light for dessert. We decided to eat here and divide it by 6. We asked for extra spoons and bowls but then I dont really get the point but they only gave us 2 spoons, no bowls. I guess there's a certain number of peeps that should share with only one order of bingsu.

Amidst the business district of Ortigas Center sits a quaint cafe that offer bread, pastries, and meals. The place is often visited by Korean denizens in the area as well as the office dwellers of Ortigas. The place is a comfortable cafe with modern interiors, it's called Mr. Park.

As for Korean enthusiasts, it is common knowledge that Park has got to be one of the most common Korean last names. Not to mention, we did have a K-Pop star who started her career in Manila which is named such, in other words, the offerings here are very much influenced by Korean culture.

I've tried some of their breads which were actually pretty good. Though, I was hoping that price would be lower as it is not located in a mall. I've also tried their sliders and chicken teriyaki sandwich which were priced reasonably. A little more than a hundred but you're sure to feel full after one of these.

But what impressed me most were the Bingsu. For 180 pesos, the Bingsu they had were gigantic. We ordered the chocolate and fruity bingsu which were the only flavors they had, but lo and behold when it was served on our table, they didn't hold back on the ingredients. I sort of regretted ordering the fruity bingsu as I was not a fan of watermelon, though the colors were really pretty. My friend had a chocolate bingsu with oreo cookies that looked like Mickey Mouse ears. It was glorious. It was stuff where dreams are made of. The chocolate Bingsu also had banana slices and those chocolate filled biscuits which complimented the dessert well.

I would definitely come back here again if I have one of those Bingsu reveries. It was my first time to have this dessert and this place surprised me with their delightful offerings.

This place is a great place for dessert and hangouts. They bake breads, cute Korean cakes, sandwiches and pastries. Must try their Potato Baget, mini cream puffs and Chicken Teriyaki sandwich. Must also try their Bingsu (Korean halohalo), for sharing. They have Chocolate and Fruit Bingsu. Both are delicious. Coffee here is a deal! They serve it on a very big cup. Servers are friendly and quick. Place is neat, with a neat restroom, open 24 hours, and with free WiFi.

Second time to try a Bingsu. This time at @mrparksbreadandcake. Looks very different to the 1st one I tried at B__. This is fully loaded with everything - scoops of ice cream, chunks of banana, watermelon, pineapples, kiwi, red beans, etc.
Of course, it's more expensive but much much better. Thumbs up! #foodtrailph

Place - the restaurant was quite spacious and the ambiance of the place was good and relaxing. When you enter the restaurant, fresh bread will greet you as there were many breads that are on display. However, the electrical socket w/ the paper ruined the nice interior of the place.

Service - staff were polite and served our orders as soon as it was cooked. However, they forgot to bring the water on our table and they were kinda hard to approach due to them being busy in displaying the breads.

Food - we ordrered Pane Pasta, Cream soup and Iced Lemon. Pasta was good and scrumptious. However, I would prefer a tomato based pasta w/ the bread bowl. The jam that was included on my order was very tasty and I loved it. Cream soup lacked saltiness and focused too much on the milk/cream. Iced Lemon was good and refreshing.

Note: Review is for their Marquinton Branch

Mr. Parks is one of the few establishments that in Marquinton that is open 24/7 and serve a cup of joe in the wee hours of the day.

Woke up at an ungodly hour and asked CMA for coffee!

Mr. Parks saved the day and brewed a cup. Hmmm...coffee is best enjoyed when you are really craving for it.

And oh, the garlic toast thing is good with the coffee.

Me and my friends were on the hunt for dessert when we stumbled upon Mr.Parks so we went straight for the Patbingsu and Chocolate Bingsu, both of which were pretty enjoyable because of the quantity and quality of ingredients used. Two pretty solid and affordable desserts if you ask me. That being said, I didn't feel like I was eating authentic bingsu because (1) the ice wasn't shaved enough so the dessert felt more like halo-halo or a con yelo dessert, and (2) the play of ingredients and flavors felt a bit too modified for the Filipino palate. These aren't negatives if you think about it, but expectations do need to be managed.

Will definitely try their pastries next time!

Because you need to visit anything Korean if you're a KDrama or KPop fanatic! One you should visit is Mr. Park's Bread & Cake here in Ortigas!

FOOD: Breads and cakes are on display. They also have pasta. We ordered random breads. Nothing taste special or memorable but I recommend to try their cream puffs - they are affordable, bite-sized goodies. We also tried their Bing Su which is good enough for sharing. They are generous with their toppings of fruits and ice cream! I still have to try their sandwiches though. Last but not the least, their fancy looking cakes. They are really colorful and very very pleasing! Notice the cakes are somehow familiar with the ones in KDrama. We ordered the dog character cake -I am surprised that their cakes not only looked good but tasted good as well. They have several designs to offer from cute fancy dog to elegant fruity cake. Should you want to check more designs, just ask the staff. The price also varies on the size of the cake. We ordered medium size cake and the price (est. of Php 400-500) is comparable to famous cake shop we are used to.

SERVICE & PLACE: Staff are friendly and accommodating. They'll assist you on what to try especially with their cakes. Place is neat and good for meetings with friends and relaxation time. Some Korean locals also visit the place to hang out.

VERDICT: Will recommend to try their Cream Puffs and Cakes. Still can't get over with your Korean Drama last night? Visit now Mr. Park's Bread & Cake here in Ortigas. There are also nearby korean shops to complete your Korean Food trip!

Pastries: Delicious!
Coffee: Good
Place: Peaceful and cozy
Staff: Concerned and very helpful (it was my first time here)
Price: Fair

I went here because I needed some peace and quiet while I read my book and basically just be by myself, and I was able to achieve that. The only thing that threw me off and actually making me look for a better cafe is that they do not have outlets. It really bummed me out because I wanted to go back but it's a necessity for me to be able to plug my laptop. From what I have noticed is that they used to offer it before because there were outlets on the floor but they were covered with a paper that says it's not available. I am willing to pay extra if possible for me to plug my laptop just so I can go often because I really like it here!!

Two weeks ago we originally planned to celebrate my birthday in a book cafe around eastwood then learned they have closed already so we searched for a foodplace that serves bingsu because I've been craving for weeks. We ended up dining into Mr.park's and all my disappointments faded away! 😊

The ambiance is so cozy, the staffs are all smiling and friendly. Most of the customers were korean group of friends and korean families. The place is so quiet and the seats are comfy.

We tried their pasta and it was so gooood! I so loved the pat bing su (mixed fruits over shaved ice) because it's so refreshing and tasty. The breads are not too sweet with right softness which we also liked.

Overall it's been a great birthday treat! Will eventually come back with friends to share the experience. 😊

From the looks of it, I know that it's a cheesecake. It was a cheesecake indeed! It's not your usual NY Cheesecake type. It's more like a Japanese Cheesecake. It's light and soft and had just hints of tartness. It wasn't sweet at all. The bottom part of the cheesecake though was a little too cakey for me - more like mamon-ish. It also had this thin layer of clear gelatin on top.

Overall, it was good. I also liked that it wasn't dry and had that creamy smooth texture. It's also a little easy to get carried away, one slice after another, because it's not cloying at all

Not the biggest fan of coffee, but I enjoyed their caramel macchiato - it had a nice blend of sweetness and coffee, and the five-year-old in me wanted to drink it if only for the feeling of foam on my upper lip. Big serving too! Worth it for P120.

Decided to have a green tea muffin worth P66 with the coffee. Thought it would be heated up when one of the employees picked it up for me and took it behind the counter, but they just removed the plastic off the muffin and put it on a plate. I don't usually order green tea-flavored things, so my judgment could be flawed on this - the taste of green tea definitely came through but there was a kind of unpleasant metallic aftertaste. Wasn't a huge fan of the texture either... it was really dry, and overall spongy, more like a cupcake than a muffin. Wasn't worth the price in my opinion.

Wouldn't order the muffins, but I would go back here for their coffee, their wi-fi, and their friendly staff!

My fave go to place when I am in our Ortigas office, and I need a filling ham and egg sandwich.

The place has a frequent following of Koreans and locals. There is a generous choice bread and pastries. My favourite in particular was the walnut pie. It is a perfect companion of coffee with its mild sweetness and amazing texture contrast of the crumbly crust munchy walnuts.

The ambiance of the area is very warm and alive. A great venue for light snacks or after dinner.

Creme puffs are sold bite-sized for ten pesos only. The cream literally puffs and explodes in your mouth. I didn't like much the flavored creme puffs like the strawberry. The taste was very artificial I wouldn't recommend to anyone to visit again because first, it's very expensive and two, it was 't so noteworthy.
Good interior though. The shop had painstakingly hand-painted walls that romantically suits the aroma of bread, coffee and lengthy conversations. Nice spot too.

I was here for their famous Bingsu not that I am not interested with their breads but I am faithful to my love of Bingsu. Sad to say that my expectations were not met. I ordered the fruits Bingsu, although they put a generous amount of fruits, their snowflake was coarse compared to that of Cafe Flafe's Bingsu.

I came back for another try of their Chocoholic Bingsu. I'd say this one is better than the Fruit Bingsu that I tried. It lived up to its name chocoholic and I guess I've had a chocolate overdose that day.

Hopefully they find more things to add to their menu. Interiors are nice but is starting to wear off. Btw, you'll find that most of the people dinning there are Koreans.

Cons: You can't bring any outside drinks even if it is in your tumbler. So I tried their cold tea. Twinnings Tea was just cold water with one bag of tea.. it costs a serious 80php. I strongly suggest just having water.

The breads here are phenomenal! I would say that this place is a lot better than French Baker and Bread Talk. Their red bean donut is such a treat. They serve sandwiches as well but I didn't get to try those.
They offer only 1 pasta and 1 soup. It's reasonably a small menu with the price being more than affordable.
Their range of different breads is something I look forward to.
Their cakes are cute, but they remind me of Tous Le Jour's.

As expected, once you set your foot to this cafe, you will see a plethora of Korean people. The place is quite big for a cake place.

Well, the mango shake isn't that sweet since I think it wasn't even ripe at the first place but their cute little cream puffs are really tasty!

I so so love the ambience of this place. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the overall service was great. Mu favorite is their patbingsu (korean style halo-halo), the one with fruits on top. It's just ₱180, good for sharing (approx for 2-3 people). I don't normally order their breads and cakes, but I would love to give them a try the next time we come back.

Their cakes are good! It's not too sweet and it soft and fluffly with every bite. Their place is also a nice place to chill and relax while you enjoy your cake and tea

I definitely love their scones! Another reason why i keep coming back to this 24-h bakery is their walnut castella. try it, you guys! it's heaven on earth. :)

Their creampuffs and choco balls too were surprisingly good. There are some savory pastries which im not a fan of, but my friend said they're good. I wont recommend coming here for their drinks though.

Yum!

Bread Talk watch out. You've got competition (hehe).

For pastry lovers, you HAVE to check out Mr. Park's. They have the famous "Egg-morning" sandwich. Perfect for the protein cravings. They also have assorted cakes that are a dream to stare at then bite into.

For every day, try their pack of morning bread, ala pan de sal but with egg wash on the top for show.

They have sweet potato mini pies and potato loaves too. Ah-mazing! Must be back here to try their coffee next time. FYi, I do appreciate the sanitary procedure. Masks over the staff's mouth and nose, as well as plastic sheets over the baskets of bread.

Kain!

found this gem while a friend and I were hunting around the area for a good place to have breakfast while waiting for galleria to open. They have a lot of breads and pastries to choose from and most of what I sampled was delicious. My favorite was the "egg morning" sandwich and the sliced (and it's a really BIG slice) loafy castella (P78.00 each "slice").
