I will definitely come back again! I absolutely love the beef rendang. The staff are accommodating and friendly, the place feels like you are in Indonesia. Just look at the design of the place.
We had such a good time on our first visit. I loved everything about it. The food, friendly staff, and the place. It felt like home-y for some reason. Had a good laugh with my friends, shared great food. Ugh. DEF coming back for their Quorn menu! My friends loved it! ❤️❤️❤️
Tastes amazingly authentic at super affordable prices.
Warung represents a gastronomic adventure for the typical Filipino palate. The richness of the flavors of its authentic Indonesian dishes provides a spontaneously duality. On one hand, you can associate it to familiar viands that you will find in typical Filipino feasts while on the other hand it also provides a novel experience due to variances in taste in the food offerings of our southeast Asian neighbor. This gustatory experience also takes place in a rummah like surroundings that provides a stark contrast to the concrete jungle in the nearby areas. Definitely a must visit dining place in Kapitolyo.
Our first time to dine here. Their food is divine, We loved everything that we ordered. Their interiors are instagrammable. Their customer service are superb, their servers are very attentive and perceptive. I had a big tote with me and before I even asked, one of the servers pulled out another chair and placed it beside me so that I can put my bag there and that's a plus for me 😊
All these 3 are reasons for us to go back here again.
Loved the rendang and nasi goreng.
Food was so good.
The owners, Tita Lou and Tita Tess, were very kind and actually made time to chat with the diners.
The place was spacious and very homey.
Gotta love fish. Slightly disappointed that they didnt have sambal matah...but they did have sambal terasi which complimented the fish well.
The nasi goreng was a lot smaller than expected considering the price. Sate ayam was good but expect it to be a little different than the other more peanuty varieties around the metro.
I'm not knowledgeable in Indonesian food so I won't pretend to know a thing or two. So, here are my thoughts we with what my girlfriend and I had:
Bakmi Goreng: I love stir fried noodles, and I have to say, this was an instant favourite, the liver was an unexpected ingredient to me,but it surprisingly and pleasantly worked!
Beef rendang: the taste was well balanced. Well enough you could eat it on its own, or maybe enjoy it with white rice? Up to you. We had it with Nasi Goreng.
Nasi Goreng: honestly there are no words, except the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Plump and juicy, not tough and overcooked, obviously the kitchen staff knows their stuff around here.
The service staff: I think one of them was the owner serving us, if she was, then dang if that ain't exemplary management of business, then I don't know what is. Everyone was so accommodating, so attentive that raising your hand for their attention was at a complete minimal. I give this a 5/5, they deserve it. I wish this business more success than ever. Kudos. This place makes me feel at home. :)
Always look for Tita Lou and she'll give you a warm greeting with that genuine smile.
Beef rendang is Hot!!! (Figuratively and Literally) always a relaxing space for sizzling hot dishes!
Eating at Warung brings back fond memories of a trip to Bali or Indonesia in general. Homey feel paired with the some of the nicest staff and gracious owner going around engaging with some loyal and new customers. Would always be a top choice when around Kapitolyo.
I think this is the right place to go if you are looking for an authentic and delicious Indonesian cuisine here in the country.
They serve excellent Quorn dishes aside from their regular Menu items. Just like us, you'll not be disappointed.
I'm glad I was part of this launch. I'm happy to know that they're actually meatless even if you feel like eating real meat chunks.
You could also choose from their Menu and ask them to replace it with meatfree Quorn. Sounds fair right?
What's more, it's Low in Saturated Fat and Calories plus it has Zero cholesterol.
They had me at Gulai Quorn and Tahu, Martabak Telur and
Quorn Rendang. Yummy!
Sauce used are rich and excellent in taste. This meat alternative will definitely help you remove all your guilt and feel good about what you eat.
