Masil in Oranbo is worth all the good reviews.
Menu.... there are some pricey items but you could stick to reasonably priced dishes like the Sam Gyeop Sal (Pork Belly Php330), Dwaeji gakbi (Pork ribs in sweet marinade Php400) and Masil Bulgogi (Beef brisket in sweet marinade Php490).
Yes, you have to get 2 grilled meats at least to enjoy the charcoal grill. I would recommend getting an order per person.
Their banchan (side dishes) are all good and compliments each other. Word of caution, they would only refill once.
Good thing is that they also give you free Steamed Eggs and a Kimchi-based soup (a little too spicy for my mom but balances well with the steamed eggs).
There's a lot of parking space but it gets really full so you could opt to park on the street on evenings when the street is not busy.
Galbi jim and the korean pancake are my favorites! Their watercress is also very tasty. Servers are attentive and friendly. Meats were freshly served and I enjoyed their korean perillo leaves
We’ve been to all sorts of Korean restaurants around the metro and Masil is the best of the lot. Delicious food and great service plus reasonably priced. Go for the bulgogi and pork belly if you do the grill. Best pajeon!
The place is always full whenever we try going here so we decided to attend the 9am CCF service and have brunch here. And yes, the food was amazing. I will definitely go back here.
Still one of our family's favorite korean resto :) Price has increased slightly over the years but it's all good. You get good food for a fair price. :)
Food is good as well as the service. Food is freshly served. Ambiance is fair. Though I personally think the place can be improved or consider renovation. The parking place should also be improved as space is a bit limited for cars to maneuver and needs more lighting esp. at night.

Their Samgyeopsal is very thick and they’ve got authentic tasting side dishes. I just hoped they would have unlimited meat or at least an extra serving because one doesn’t suffice. The price of one is a little bit too much.
I think everyone can agree that there are so many Korean restaurants in Metro Manila, it’s kind of hard to choose where to go. As a fan of Korean cuisine (#bibimbapforevah), I have to admit, this is one of the best Korean restos I’ve been to so far since I’ve lived here (there’s a hidden gem in BF Homes—I forgot the name!).
We were a group of 6 and ordered the premium set b (which in all honesty is really only good for 5 people unless you’re light eaters). The side dishes were okay and normal like other Korean restos. The main dishes, like the meat, was flavorful (marinated or not) and tender. I think this was my favorite. The japchae was delicious and not too oily. We ordered the nengmyun noodles TWICE (it was that good). And had 6 bottles of Sake (grapefruit flavor).
It is a bit pricey but there are other items that are affordable. I still have yet to try Yedang (which others say is comparable to Masil but cheaper) but other than the slightly pricey items, I think it’s worth it for special occasions.
masil goes for quality over quantity with their korean barbecue. it’s not the place to stuff you like unli samgyup would but its meats are definitely tastier and better quality.
masil greets you with a handful of banchan which are each refillable twice.
our go to is premium set b which has fresh short ribs, 2 kinds of marinated short ribs, japchae and beef stew which is a must order (the beef stew is the best in town) it also comes with steamed egg, kimchi soup and 4 cups of rice.
masil is consistent with their food and it has kept me coming back with both friends and family.
