This place is a reliable choice for good Filipino food. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good for sharing. I love their crispy pata among their other dishes.

A great choice for family-style dining because of their great selection of sumptuous Filipino food. Our family's staple orders include the Inihaw Sampler, Hito Flakes on Spoon, Sigarillas, Laing 2-ways, and the star-Crispy Boneless Pata. The only saddening thing about all this branch was the serving time for the drinks. On all my 3 visits, we had to kept reminding the servers to serve the drinks asap (coolers, and fresh buco juice) and not consider them as desserts. But service time still took too long, and the drinks arrived when were finished with all our food.

Mesa Restaurant Filipino Moderne at the 30th Ayala Malls.

FUN FACT: The number 30 is very noteworthy to them; 1+12+17 = 30, this is also their 30th MESA branch and it is located at 30th Meralco Ave. Pasig. Mesa is recognized by customers for offering exceptional value with generous food portions. The restaurant possesses distinctive, contemporary design and interiors, with a native–inspired theme and ornaments, creating a high-energy ambiance in a casual and homey setting. Mesa Filipino Moderne operates 17 stores and is currently engaged in opening more new outlets in different localities within Metro Manila and provincial areas nationwide.

Love the dishes. Especially tofu sisig and kare-kare. We always go here when our Korean bosses want to eat Pinoy dishes. Only that the place is kinda warm. Please make sure that ACs are set on the appropriate temp. Friendly staff and crew.

This has been our favorite get to go eating place when we go to Ayala Malls @ the 30th. Ever since we discovered their TWO WAY LAING. We’ve been here for 5 times already and they never fail to satisfy our Pinoy Cravings.

⭐️ Food 5/5
These are the MUST TRYs for First timers:
- Two Way Laing
- Sizzling Tofu
- Sinigang na Hipon

⭐️ Ambiance 5/5
The place was very sophisticated, At first glance we thought the food was expensive because of the ambiance we were very mistaken.

⭐️ Service 5/5

First time eating here though, the place is nice, we dined in so late that the restaurant is about to close yet, the staff are all accommodating and have a great attitude I'm impressed keep it up. And that is why we enjoyed eating. The food are so delicious their 2 way laing is one of the best I've tasted so far. Will definitely come back.

Solid food as usual and one of the best restaurants to showcase filipino cuisine to guests from abroad. This time a malaysian supplier came to visit and it was fortunate that mesa has many branches so it was easy to find a near one to his hotel. Chicken binakol and crispy pata are standard stuff but this time we tried the crispy tawilis on spoons as well.

Filipinos being exposed to different kinds of cuisine certainly have its perks. Some of which are acquiring various gastronomy experiences and learning a slice of culture with each spoon. Those are nice and all. However, it comes at the expense of sometimes forgetting that Philippine cuisine is also regarded as one of the most diverse and delicious at the world’s center stage.

In this post: Tinapa Roll wrapped with Lettuce, Crispy Boneless Tilapia with Four Sauces, Sisig in a Pouch, Laing 2 Ways, Kare Kare Beef and Tripe, Bagoong Rice, Swahe on the Rocks, Inihaw Sampler, Pinatayong Manok, Crispy Boneless Pata, Boneless Patatim

People are already raving about Mesa Filipino Moderne yet here I am recently discovering them. I've tried a few dishes once but it was here, at the Mesa Ayala Malls The 30th branch, where I've truly enjoyed a lot of the Filipino classic and modern favorites. This particular branch is significant as it is the 30th branch of Mesa, residing at Ayala Malls The 30th, and was opened last January 12, 2017 (1+12+17=30).

MESA is undoubtedly a go to for modern Filipino. And as years go by it has been easier to locate them, thanks to its 30th branch at the Ayala Malls the 30th along Meralco Ave. This Filipino brand could just bring crowds of families and barkadas to this fairly new mall.

I was invited over here to be reminded of why MESA is where it’s at now. I sat along with fellow food bloggers, anticipating the feast that was about to ensue.

It was also a full house that night, despite it being quite late when we started. Customers populated the tables around ours enjoying their own spread of favorites. It was like a fiesta as there was a joyous atmosphere.

The owner introduced himself to us and mentioned a rundown of what we were about to have. I almost tuned him out as the servers started rolling out plates. A gorgeous spread was slowly unfolding in front of us. It was indeed overwhelming, in a very good way.

First up was their new Tinapa Roll appetizer, which they take pride in. Definitely a playful twist, with the strong Tinapa flavor standing out despite the thick crispy wrap.

Next were plates of wonton pouches, which turned out to be Pampanga's well known dish, Sisig. Their version was rather bold in taste and not as fatty. The pandan leaves that wrapped it kept the insides a well kept surprise.

Suspended on a wooden board was the well seasoned Pinatayong Manok; conveniently sliced was the Crispy Boneless Tilapia with 4 sauces; and two conjoined plates, which held the Laing 2 Ways, dry and wet. These were the first set of entrees. My top pick goes to the fish, the Filipino staple Tilapia Mesa style is a must have. It's like biting on chicharon only much better. Don't forget to dip!

Then came more headliners: Crispy Boneless Pata, Boneless Patatim, and Beef & Tripe Kare Kare. Our eyes would widen every time a plate was placed on the table. These set came with Bagoong Rice, a complimentary pair to the meats. I swear I had too much classic Crispy Pata for its tender meat and sweet-savory dipping sauce. Oh and I had generous portions as well of its usual partner, creamy peanut intensified Kare Kare.

We were also treated to a Grilled Sampler which flew off as soon as it came. It had Grilled Pork Belly, Pork Barbecue, Grilled Squid, Mussels and Shrimps! Its blanket barbecue sauce simply intensified all its sea flavors.

Then there was also a plate of sautéed shrimps, that was cooked on point. You know they are when its shells are easy to peel and its taste fresh and natural.

After all the savory dishes, we just had to have sweets next. We got almost everything from rice crispy filled Guinumis, Halo-halo with really fine ice, sweetened Mango Sago and the creatively done Crispy Leche Flan. These were refreshing indeed to a filling night.

By the way, if you are looking for private area, MESA has 2 conference rooms. This means a more intimate birthday or work related dining up to 14 people.

MESA has a table of Filipino relived classics ready. How about gathering here next?
