Ordered the shoyu and my girlfriend ordered the tantanmen and these are very good bowls of ramen for their sub ₱400 price. Try the curry gyoza as well. It was so good has that nice Japanese curry sweet taste was a refreshing change from your regular gyoza. The only minor complaint I have is the eggs were a bit undercooked as the yolk was still too runny than typical ramen onsen tamago. I highly recommend Butamaru for your ramen fix with a very reasonable price.
I love the gyoza. I tried the set meal for lunch. The price is reasonable. Ebi mayo is good too. The place is not crowded so its a good place to bring friends even during rush hours.
I love there ramen soup, soft boiled egg and chaashuu. I tried only there shio Tonkotsu ramen so far ,but feel noodle may not match soup.. if they use same noodle for other kind of noodles also I think its unavoidable.anyway I think this is one of the best ramen shop you had better try.
The place to go for great ramen! Their ramen is so tasty and pork was so tender and perfectly cooked. Loved the gyoza and spicy crunchy shrimp appetizer too.
Great ramen! Particularly enjoyed the dry version.
Great food & nice cozy place to hang out to after our badminton games.
Great flavours! I've tried a few dishes here. The pork ribs are really good for sharing. The tacos are really good especially the spicy tuna. The ramen is delicious but I can't remember the names exactly. One was spicy with peanut and the other was be dipping one. Both super good!
Definitely one of the best ramen bars in the country! The broth and the noodles are as close as you can get to the real deal! 👍👌
My favorite bowl of Shio and side of Chicken Toriten is now in Ortigas! (I'd still go to Alabang of course for the long drive though.)
Had the Spicy Tantanmen. Soup was rich tasting. Chose the noodles to be firm and didnt disappoint. Will definitely come back for more.

Amazing ramen!! the staff are very friendly and accommodating too..good job!
Finally, closer to my place! Excellent ramen, will definitely bring my friends. :D
Great food and great ambiance! It was nice meeting you Brent! Will come back again!
Me and my wife love the Curry Tantanmen and Curry Gyoza, a must in every visit!
Good food and value for money! I like the hole in wall vibe of the place too!
For food! Love the truffle gyoza, karaage, kushiyakis. The chahan wasnt so good though!
Outside Mendokoro's, Ippudo's, and Ramen Nagi's, we're hesistant when it comes to trying out other ramen but BUTAMARU (@butamaruph )'s Shoyu Ramen (Php 350) proved to be an exception. I had the vegetables served on the side so this photo doesn't do justice to the ramen.
.
.
We loved the Chashu because the meat was tender and they went the extra mile to torch the fat which splendidly caramelized it. The broth had the right temperature when it was served as it was hot enough to warm the tummy without burning our tongues. The flavor of the pork was definitely present. It's less creamy than Mendokoro's but less salty than Ippudo's. The noodles were cooked al dente but a leveled up experience would be upgrading to Shirataki noodles (Php 50) and getting Tamago (Php 50).
.
.
Since it's open until midnight, it's better to come after the dinner rush. By then, the place is more laid back and for some reason, the quality of the Ramen is better though fresh garlic and sesame seeds would be good additions (or replacements 😬) to the condiments they currently have.

Looking for a place to eat around Ortigas Technopoint late at night, and came across Butamaru.
They're more of a ramen place, but was happy to find other items on the menu like appetizers and rice bowls.
I ordered the Tori Ten Don which is tempura style chicken in sauce.
I loved that the chicken was very flavorful and was perfectly balanced. My only issue with the dish was that it had a heap load of spring onions, which I think the dish could have done without, but other than that, I really enjoyed my meal. For P290, I think the meal was affordable and enjoyable.
Also, serving time may take a while so I hope they can improve on that in the future.
Wouldn't mind coming back again to try their other food.

This has been our go to place for an evening snack with my wifey since this branch opened. Our most regular order is a Tantan mien and gyoza on the side.
We were looking at tiles at MC Home Depot in Ortigas last week because we are planning to renovate our kitchen. Of course, we got hungry, and despite the heat, we went to Butamaru for some ramen!
I’d been to Butamaru Ortigas before about 2 years ago, and now I’m in the area with an excuse to eat there again!
Butamaru is an Alabang cult favorite (or so I am told). The Ortigas branch is located at the Technopoint One Building in the Ortigas Home Depot compound, but it’s not that easy to find because it is on the right side of the building, a little farther back. PARKING IS FREE (first 3 hours, I think). Well, we didn’t have to pay anything for parking and that is always welcome!
THE FOOD
I ordered a Curry Tantanmen (P380) and
Love their ramen! We go here for our shirataki ramen fix and we love it! Always recommended in this side of town. The staff is really nice and accommodating. The lady manager is rude which is a shame.
Went here around 5pm at Sunday and I'm the only customer which kinda makes me think twice of dining here. I was specifically curious about their low carb ramen (which swaps regular noodles to shirataki noodles). So I ordered Shoyu Ramen with Shirataki (+50 pesos for upgrade). Ramen was served piping hot. The broth was flavorful but not as rich as I wanted it to be. Chasu was flavorful too and easily melts in your mouth. I think the place was underrated and deserves more recognition. Price is reasonable and serving size is just about right. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience.
Update: 06/03/2019
Second time here and came by during lunch. Ordered Spicy Miso Butter (P380) and had the noodles replaced with Shirataki (+50). The broth was flavorful, chasu was not the best I tasted but it was good. Surprisingly it wasn't that spicy. Also had Katsu Tofu (P160). This one I enjoyed most. Flavor is unique. It's like fusion of takoyaki and karaage. A must try!
We tried eating here for the first time with my food buddy last valentine's day. What I loved most with them compare to the other ramen restaurant is that they offer shiratake noodles, a low carb noodles, so you can splurge eating your ramen without the guilt feeling of eating too much carbs. I tried the red ramen and spicy miso to my friend. Though, the ramen is not so spicy as what we are expecting, we still liked the taste. The thick broth and the roasted pork passed our standards. We had also availed their promo for valentine's day which is free gyoza. We will definitely coming back..
THEIR LAST CALL IS AT 12 MIDNIGHT ON WEEKDAYS!
That’s what I love about this place. We came here around 11:30pm on a Wednesday night and ordered Tsukemen, karaage, tantanmen. On Fridays and Saturdays, they close at 1 AM.
Food is okay. I think the breading for their tempura karaage was too much. For the tsukemen, noodles were okay. The flavor of their tantanmen is not as rich as it should be. Love their chashu! Twas seasoned well.
Service was really good and the turnaround of orders were pretty fast.
#freebiesalert you can have free gyoza when you order two ramen from @butamaruortigas 😋 check it out with your date tonight ♥️ #foodtodaywithdorainortigas #taraletseat #ramenlover #foodlover #foodblogger #foodie #butamaru #wheninortigas #ortigasfoodcrawl #zomatoph
Excellent Food and Excellent Service! The waiters are friendly upon entering the store, attentive when ordering, food delivered quickly, and the owners is also friendly. Very pleasant experience.
Very comfortable and small ramen bar. It's a very nice place to dine with one or two more extra people with you, or maybe even 3. But having a large group can be difficult. I visited the place with my girlfriend and we ordered the Gyoza, Truly Gyoza, Shoyu, and Tsukemen. Out of the 2 Gyoza's we ordered, we only enjoyed the plain one. The truffle Gyoza comes with some cream like sauce and wasn't as appealing to us. The noodles of the ramen were also fine, however, I did experience some noodles that were stuck together instead of being separated by each strand. I do understand that Tsukemen noodles are a bit stickier sometimes because it's not served in a bowl of soup, but this was a bit too much. The Chashu pork and egg were a nice touch, and so was the dipping broth. I personally didn't get to try the Shoyu ramen but the feedback I got was that it was good, but nothing mind blowing. The service overall was good, but there weren't much people to begin with during my visit, so it may depend on the number of people dining. I am definitely going to try it out again on another lazy Sunday lunch.
[Shoyu Ramen]
Rich, creamy and heavy tonkotsu broth that heavily tastes of pork and marrow.
My guess is that the broth is cooked for extended hours to achieve that kind of rich flavor.
What caught my attention was the chasiu. It's solid enough that I was able to arrange it for this shot, but the moment i cut a portion, the chopsticks went right through like hot knife through butter, and it actually disintegrates in your mouth.
Spicy miso butter - masarap yung chashu, malambot, at hindi malansa. I like it that they browned it a bit. I ordered soft noodles pero parang firm sya, and i also would've preferred it thinner. Pero yung broth, winner.
Curry tantanmen - Mas masarap and flavourful yung broth nito. I like it that they serve the ramen hot, in large stone bowls.
Katsu tofu - malaki yung serving. And it's japanese silken tofu which we like
Black sesame ice cream
Green tea ice cream
Lahat masarap 😆 Price is well worth it. We will definitely go back, and recommend to friends 🤗
Everything hit the mark.
We ordered Shoyu, Miso and Spicy Miso Butter Ramen, Original Gyoza, Buta bara and Beef cubes.
A very good alternative to Mendokoro if you don't feel like waiting in line for hours on end.
Super enjoyed this hidden gem in Ortigas! They have really good Shoyu Ramen. The noodles of the ramen are very soft and savory while the soup base has the perfect saltiness and flavor absorbed from the char siu.
Beef cubes on skewers are also great here and not bad for the price of two!
Will always come back here for ramen fix and cubes!
A more than decent Ramen House tucked away inside the Ortigas Home Depot. No long lines, No outrageous wait time. Kinda hard to find though as it is right around the corner after Starbucks. Quite literally, a hidden gem. 😁
🍜Tantanmen - has just the right amount of heat. A little on the garlicky sesame side which really gets your appetite going. Breaking the tamago adds a creamy texture.
Oh and of course, dunk some white rice in the leftover soup after finishing off the noodles for a nice ending. 😍👍

My friends and I have been Ramen Hunting these past few months and Butamaru is always on or radar (if you've been reading my reviews). Today we gave it a try and here is my (our) review to each Ramen we ordered:
Spicy Miso Ramen:
This is one of their newest addition since it is not on the menu attached here in Zomato. Spicy Miso's broth has a strong flavor which is always obvious to any Miso Ramen dish. The salty taste is balanced by the Miso flavoring and some nutty feel to it. A good choice if you're trying something nyo other than your typical Tonkotsu or Shoyu and Shiyo varieties. The spice is average, not too strong and not too mild. You can still feel the spicy kick.
Tantanmen:
A typical Ramen variety but Butamaru's Tantanmen is quite strong in terms of the broth flavor. The peanut and sesame is obviously present when you take your first taste it. A safe bet if you're having a hard time deciding on what to order
Kaisen (Seafood Ramen):
This one is the most different in the ones we ordered and the most pricey too. It comes with a shrimp toppings and fish belly chunk, I bet it's tuna belly by its taste. The broth taste like shrimp soup which most Filipinos will love. The shrimp flavor dominates the whole broth. I would suggest you add some chili powder.
Red Ramen:
The spicy kick of the broth that compliments the meaty feel to it is what makes this one special. First time to take a Ramen? I would suggest you pass on this because this is not for starters. Might as well take their Tantanmen or Shoyu.
Overall take: These are good but I will just give a 4 out of 5 rating because of the not so tender noodles. I would suggest upon order taking that you request a tender noodles not undercooked.
Nov 2017- I've tried a lot of ramen restaurants here in Metro Manila and this is so far the best one that I've tasted. The meat is tender and the food was served very hot. You MUST TRY their Okonomiyaki - so delicious and tasty.
The staff who assisted us was very accommodating and friendly.
We're hungry to try their other Ramen flavors so we will definitely come back!
We were supposed to eat at Industrie but it wasn't open at the time so we decided to look for another place to eat. Just across the block, I found this Japanese resto. We enjoyed the food that we ordered and would rate everything overall a 7 out of 10. It was quite expensive for the quality and taste. Would I recommend it? Being located in the heart of Ortigas, I probably would not. There are a lot of Japanese restaurant around that are better. But if you're ramen lover (or love japanese food in general), it is still worth a try.
We ordered Curry Tantanmen (P380), Shoyu (P350), Kaisen (P390), and Chasu Don (P290). All ramen are above average. I love tantanmen so the curry tantanmen was a nice try for me. Shoyu was just as expected, tho the meat could still be improved. Kaisen's broth was nice, tho I would have preferred more seafood in it. On top of the prices, we all availed additional tamago (eggs) which costs P50 each. It would've been nice if the eggs were included already. Chasu Don was also nice but a little lackluster as a whole. Experience was fine, but it would have been a total winner if the prices were a little lower.
We were so hungry I forgot to take the photo of the grilled shiitake mushrooms!
I enjoyed the ramen in this joint. I liked the shoyu more than what I ordered, the spicy miso butter ramen. Because of that, I will recommend that if it is your first time, pick from the ones that are recommended.
My son enjoyed the tacos a lot. I was happy with the gyoza as well.
Will go back one of these days.
Ordered a bowl of Tantanmen super-mild, firm noodles, extra chasu and egg. Wouldn’t compare it to one of the more high end ramen bars like the one in Salcedo, but generally loved the food. The broth was full and hearty and the service was fast. Crew was very friendly and accommodating to serve us free house tea and turn up the lighting while we were taking photos of our food. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend for those having ramen cravings while in the middle of the metro.
ambiance 8/10
Food 9/10
Service 10/10
Visited this butamaru to try ramen noodles,
You must try their gyu kushi and syoyu ramen.
Our tummy Satisfied hehe.
We enjoyed the food! We had a great deal from eatigo at 30% so we only paid 800+ for an order of gyoza which is really meaty and filling, curry tantanmen which is really good, miso is great too, chasu is heaven but the best part is the egg, creamy sweet and heaven in my mouth!
Service is good, food is great.
Will definitely go back!
This is another authentic ramen that you should not miss if you are a ramen lover. The broth is so rich that you feel a warmth at the first slurp of the soup. It is on the saltier side though compared to other ramen players. Perhaps because the broth is boiled for 16 hours to bring out the taste. How's that for richness and authenticity. The pork is tender and tastes really good. And the noodles? Perfectly cooked with perfect firmness. One of my favorite ramen houses to go to if I feel a craving for the real one.
My friend and I ate the Tantanmen Ramen, the Curry Gyoza, and the Black Sesame ice cream for our first time and safe to say, we were not disappointed. I’m excited to try the other things on their menu!
Overall: Yummy! Great place to catch up with friends
If not many people about this place, they should. If you enjoy Ramen Yushoken / Mendokoro, get your noodles soft and it's almost in the same league. The Shoyu was excellent.
The price of the food is worth it. The Curry Tantanmen is a must try. Feels so authentic. Not too crowded, probably because it is kind of hidden. I will surely return to this place.

4th place to check out for our ramen-venture, we found ourselves in Ortigas to try out Butamaru.
This place is situated next to my old work place and I was so excited to see how everything looked now. From what used to be a line of bars and food stalls, is now this building with (surprisingly) a lot of amazing food establishments.
We got here in the afternoon. The first floor of the restaurant was already full and we were asked to sit at the bar. We noticed that they had a second floor but we're told that it's closed. Didn't bother asking why but it's inconvenient to not be able to sit on a chair and table properly without people having to pass through where you're seated. We didn't want to exhaust ourselves with getting better seats so we sat by the bar and ordered our food.
▪️Tantanmen: LOVED this bowl. I opted for mild and it had a nice kick to it along with this nutty broth. This was my first tantanmen bowl ever and it was great!
▪️Kaisen: Got to try some of my bf's seafood ramen and, this was quite nice. The broth wasn't strong, it was light and smooth plus they don't go light on the seafood.
▪️Curry Gyoza: I don't have gyoza a lot and this one did not disappoint. The filling was very flavorful, I did not share my serving lol
▪️Toriten: Being the biggest fried chicken fanatic I know, i'm giving this two thumbs up. Crunchy, nicely coated, fried chicken and they're pretty big chunks too. I'd come back for this!
▪️Black Sesame and Green Matcha Ice cream: Both weren't very sweet but, you can taste how real the flavors tasted. Perfect to end your meal.
This place now prolly tops my ramen place list. I hear they just opened and, they're off to a great start. They're also not as pricey as other ramen shops so you can enjoy delicious ramen without breaking the bank. Isn't that great?!

After coming from the audition in Quezon City, we decided to not go home anymore, given the traffic. We decided to just have an early dinner in one of the ramen places near where we DJ. The boyfie and I decided to have a big bowl each of Tantanmen (Php360), to complement the rather wet weather that night. We also ordered a side of Gyoza (Php140) for good measure. Since we are both suckers for good ramen, and what we had was quite good, I gave the place props for taste. A bit pricey yeah, but it was worth the experience.
This just opened about 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure if they are still in soft opening mode. It wasn't mentioned anywhere so I'm assuming they are fully functional already. This has 2 floors, the ground floor only good for about 8 people. This was the size of the group I was with so we took the whole floor. They have a 2nd floor which I didn't get to check out.
I ordered the shoyu ramen, and for sharing had the curry and plain gyoza. The broth was okay, a bit oily but had enough flavor. The chasu was very tender, and the noodles was firm (maybe a bit too firm for my taste). The curry gyoza was excellent, definitely a must try. You can skip the plain gyoza. My wife ordered spicy butter miso which was off the menu. Her broth was very rich, and good if you like spicy flavor. Price-wise, I found it just right.
Ramen is one of my favorite comfort food and I've been keeping track of the best restaurants that offer the best ramen. Sometimes, my husband and I are going out to find more restaurants that can satisfy my cravings for ramen. Pop up ramen houses and some supermarkets offer their own versions of ramen, but I still prefer my ramen to be cooked with fresh ingredients and freshly made noodles that brings out the authentic taste in ramen and makes your experience more delightful.
It was my first time to dine here for my late lunch and had a good experience.
What I ordered:
Spicy miso butter ramen - 3.5/5 this one is not in their menu, you just have to ask the staff for this. The broth was good and not too overwhelming. It has 2 pcs of chashu.
Ebi mayo - 4/5. I really love this dish. One order has 6pcs of shrimp, the batter was crispy and with just the right amount of dressing.
Spicy tuna taco - 3.5/5 one order has 2 pcs of tuna taco. It wasn't too spicy. Also good
Ambiance - 3.5/5
Cleanliness - 4/5
Customer service - 4/5
Food - 3.5/5
Value - 3.5/5
Although I was skeptical at first, I fell in love with the Hakata-Style that Butamaru offers when we visted their very first branch in Alabang earlier this year. Those big round and soft noodles and lighter broth offers a unique experience compared to other Ramen places here in manila. With their new branch in Ortigas, they want to offer an Izayaka experience, which was inspired by the very festive Japanese gastropub atmosphere. The Izayaka style for the uninitiated is a type of Japanese restaurant bar where in they offer relatively inexpensive dishes and snacks coupled with some liquor.
The time has come when the people of the general north get to enjoy yet another treasured gem of the south. At last, the famed Butamaru of Westgate, Alabang has expanded to the center of the Metro (arguably), Ortigas.
It is due time to rejoice, as this means I do not have to drive down south to get me a Hakata-style ramen bowl worthy to be held with both hands, draining it into my mouth down to the last drop. Butamaru is located on the ground floor of Techno Point Building in Home Depot along Julia Vargas Ave.
Their claim to fame really is their ramen that’s composed of 16-hour broth and only the finest perfect ingredients that validate their cult-following. My new favorite is their Curry Tantanmen, which is spicy curry and peanut and sesame tonkatsu. Appropriate spiciness with the flavor of curry that’s toned down by the earthiness of the peanut sauce. Worth trying out for the adventurous ones.
For the chaps who are not yet convinced to check this place out, take a look at the ramen selection they have a take your pick. Choose among the Tantanmen, Shio, Shoyu, and Ramen Salad. They also now have Aburi Soba.
Another tip: it pays to engage the servers and inquire about how you like your bowl of ramen.
With this new branch, openings come new offerings. Apart from their roster of power ramen dishes, Butamaru has graced their menu with Izakaya offerings perfect as starters or as a hefty snack.
There was a plate of their Gyoza (Php 140), which never fails to be as good as it is. It’s nice and crispy on the outside yet full of flavor, especially when dunked in its dipping sauce. They also have the seasonal cheese gyoza, ask about this from the wait staff again.
And we had a new addition to their creative and innovative menu, which is the Katsu Gyozayaki (Php 160). It is a merge of not one, but three (!!!) Japanese cuisine classics, which are katsu, gyoza, and takoyaki. You have to taste it to believe it.
New additions come in the form of Kimchi Chashu Tacos and Spicy Tuna Tacos. Fun and creative, these can get addicting as you continuously pop them into your mouth.
They have a selection of Kushiyaki and Yakitori as well! All to add more variety and reasons to love and frequent Butamaru as a modern take on the rich Japanese cuisine. Wagyu Beef cubes were unbelievably soft and would melt in your mouth. Chicken Skin that’s grilled to a crisp is a good one as well, along with the pork and the small Japanese sausages.
Their second floor has a bar in the works, so watch out for their new house cocktails and spirits on the rocks to go along with the food. This is a potential go-to spot after a long day at work.
Butamaru is more modern Japanese rather than authentic. Their innovative and creative ways have really earned them the dedicated following they have. Butamaru is definitely a haven for honest to goodness modern Japanese cuisine and Japanese comfort food.
Butamaru from Alabang is now here in Pasig and right in my office building too! I feel so lucky. Have been there twice already and love their food.
On the first visit I tried 2 appetizers, Curry Gyoza and Spicy Tuna Tacos. The gyoza was really good - aburi chasu in a thin flour wrapper that's crispy in parts. As you bite into them the flavors enhanced by the curry paste envelop your tastebuds. The tacos were good too with a fantastic medley of flavors from the different ingredients.
On the second visit I tried the Curry Tantanmen. It's somewhat spicy (quite manageable) with the curry flavor accentuating the taste. The broth is rich but not heavy and the noodles have a good bite.
Good resto serving great food
2nd update: Butamaru never ceases to amaze.
I had Kimchi Chasu Tacos - arguably the tastiest tacos in the metro. Soft, grilled Chasu with spicy kimchi. Explosion of flavors in each bite
Kani Ramen Salad is great! Insta-worthy dish and lovely flavors. Veggies and shredded kani with cold noodles in an amazing fish-roe dressing. Very filling and, yet, healthy
The Butamaru in Ortigas branch gave us more than savory and heartwarming ramen. Butamaru’s newest concept incorporates an extensive izakaya selection to complete our Japanese dining experience. Executive Chef Jerome Lim meticulously crafted and curated Butamaru’s izakaya menu, combining traditional Japanese fare with exciting new flavors. Kushiyaki favorites like Gyu Kushi, Yakitori, Buta Bara(pork belly), Tori Kawa (chicken skin) andShiitake mushroom sticks are available while lesser known options like Kamo Kushi (duck breast) are offered as well. We love the ramen but I hope that they can make it a bit affordable (50 pesos less hehe) but I enjoyed my dining experience at Butamaru
From the outside, Butamaru impresses with its avant garde Japanese decor – colourful Japanese photographs boldly framed on its walls (at the second floor), half curtains, simplistic wooden high stools and the allure of sensual mood lighting. One thing consumers really liked about the entire Izakaya and Ramen experience was how the well-furbished dining setting seemed to whisk one away to a nice, glowing part of Tokyo.
If one were to peek under the half-curtains, one would find that the counter setting immediately transports one to another sakura-and-sake-filled world. Much like many of the eateries in Japan, the bar seating at Butamaru is contained in a tight but not claustrophobia-inducing space and within full view of the food connoisseurs preparing the dishes.
We adored how the snug insides of the restaurant made us feel somewhat nostalgic about an old retro movie that we’ve seen from years ago and it was nice to see how even from within the restaurant, which is separate from the bar-seating area, one could still get a clear view of the Butamaru chefs at work.
While the restaurant is a tad bit small, it is very cozy and well-furnished down to the T where the walls are decorated in colourful collages of familiar Japanese scenes and it has lovely retro Japanese designs.
Before we were served our first meal of the night, we were given a tray of exquisitely-handmade gyoza. Needless to say we were thrilled!
It was such a typical Japanese dish or appetizer as Butamaru’s Fresh Handmade Gyoza which was not too shabby. While we usually prefer my gyoza crispy, we could appreciate the particular way Butamaru’s gyozas are made.
They have a doughy outer skin which had a tad bit of crispiness at some parts and the insides were stuffed with a minced pork filling robust with flavour. And just for that extra oomph, these pan-fried dumplings go nicely with the side of soya sauce.
We also tried their Katsu Gyozayaki. We adored this dish to bits, with the fusion and marriage of three of our Japanese favourites: Katsu, Takoyaki and Gyoza—all into one dish and served in a ball shape. It was delightfully crunchy and deliciously good.
Two appetizers that were a standout and worth mentioning were Kimchi Chashu Tacos and Spicy Tuna Tacos. It was mainly because of how dynamically the flavours of the different ingredients on top of the mini handmade tacos they serve at Butamaru.
The three different ramens namely Shio, Shoyu and Miso based steamy soups were also fantastic. The springy noodles which are brought in specially from Japan went beautifully with the tender pieces of chargrilled slices of pork and perfectly went well with bonito flakes.
Another reason why we loved their Tsukemen Ramen (Dipping Noodle Soup) is that the soup had a nice homemade essence which did not taste like the typical msg-filled instant noodles soup. For all those reasons and more, we definitely recommend this dish to any thinking of patronizing Butamaru!

Butamaru’s wagyu beef kushi was incredibly fatty, well-seasoned, generously-peppered and just very flavorful overall. While it may be one of the most pricey Yakitori picks, we think it is worth it to simply spoil yourself and try it with no regrets there. The meat was chewy and it was very well-marinated.
Yakitori options are reasonably priced. The Torikawa or Chicken Skin is rather affordable and something I would definitely pick on an ordinary budget. The chicken skin was crispy, fatty and very savoury.
The light pink slices of skewered pork belly were surprisingly tender and just a little tough around the edges. The subtle saltiness of the meat was quite delightful.
As we were slowly feeding off the breaded ebi, the final dish of the night was delivered to our table. We were served a generous portion of Hiyashi Chuka Ramen and though we were all stuffed, we promptly dug in to this very opulent dish. Coupled with little bits of ikura that burst with sapor in our mouths and refreshing shreds of cucumber, the cold ramen tasted heavenly.
We really do recommend those who appreciate a good Japanese meal and a dose of sake to visit Butamaru at least once to see for yourself what we mean when we say that they did a fantastic job with creating a fantastic Japanese-tic atmosphere and serving scrumptious dishes.

Good and yummy food. Good and comfy place to eat. There Ramen is special like their logo.
And the crews always smiles. I will surely comeback in this resto.
