Having the urge to buy new DVDs, I had to eat dinner at Metrowalk. I haven't dined in most restaurants here, so why not start with my favorite cuisine, Filipino.
Surprisingly you only find the Chicken Inasal on the next pages of the menu. So they don't really focus too much on their primary dish.
I love the flavor of their Pecho. It's a big portion for Php 125 and well cooked. Another must have is their Kare Kare Gulay, Php 175. Its slightly bland but the shrimp paste makes it a perfect bite. It has a good texture with actual peanuts present.
BBQ Breakfast!
I remember this place from my good old consulting days here in the Philippines. friends of mine who'd get out of work shortly before lunch would invite me to join them for a BBQ breakfast at this place.
Heads-up: If you belong to those people who get annoyed by Filipinos speaking with an American accent, then you should probably give this a wide berth.
The food:
Their Fiesta Meals are good. My fave is their grilled chicken, Liempo, Sinuglaw (which is basically Ceviche with grilled BBQ bits - don't knock it till you tried it), Tanigue. The calamari is entirely too oily but if you are out for drinks on a budget and need to have your bar chow fill then it'll do.
If you are a smoker: they've got al fresco dining options.
