Our table looked like a buffet, but it's one of the joys of eating at a family style chinese food resto. We had dimsums, and noodles, and entrees. We had the Fung Shing noodles (they say this is a must try, but it was a miss for me), Shrimp Hakaw, Chicken Feet, Kutchay Dumplings, Yang Chaw fried rice, and the excellent Stuffed Shrimp rolled in Bacon (feat. hot mayo - which I don't understand if the "hot" part meant temperature since it wasn't remotely spicy). The food was great and the wait time was reasonably proportional (approx 5 long songs) to the amount of food ordered. Wouldve wanted to try the roast platter and century eggs, but reserving that for another time.
This used to be the Jade Palace i think along Shaw Blvd. Always our family’s default restaurant when we need to celebrate something. Duck is roasted well, yang chow is always perfect, and the steamed shrimp is cooked just right.
Your usual old style, dependable Chinese Food fix. The ambience resembles that of the 80s maybe 90s feel. The food servers to the managers were very attentive, polite and knew what their dishes were.
The family ordered asado (which was really tender and tasty); spinach seafood soup (good amounts of spinach, seafood ingredients); siomai (very juicy); special chopsuey (nothing extraordinary), beef hofan (a bit disappointed since we ordered the dry one and still came out a bit saucy. Didnt have that smoky taste to what you would expect of this dish); garlic fried rice (yummy because of the generous fresh amounts of garlic and toasted garlic in the rice!); lapu-lapu with beancurd hotpot (the taste was excellent but we felt that the fish used wasnt lapu-lapu which was a great disappointment)
Overall, the dining experience was great. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes on the menu
My family and I love this place for Chinese food. It’s nothing fancy and doesn’t pose as a fusion like other Chinese restaurants in malls, which I love. The food is good. The beef brisket wanton, their beef with broccoli, the salt and pepper spare ribs, the fried rice, even their siopao. Their Hakaw is good but there is nothing special about their siomai. I don’t know about their other dimsum.
The staff is always accommodating they even suggest dishes that pair well and are honest when they see you might be ordering too little or too much.
A place worth coming back to for value for money.
I have dined here for a number of times now; whenever I crave for chinese food, this is my go-to place. The food here is affordable and delicious. Never have I seen a time that there was no customers here. The servers are all attentive and nice.
I think this place is one of the "old-skools" chinese restaurant that has cult following as well.
Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - one of the most delicious noodle soup, and 1 serving can guarantee a full stomach even for the most hungry. You can also ask the server to split these into 2 so it can be shared.
Hakaw - firm and plump shrimps inside. Any of their dimsums are aactually a must order for me.
Special Pata - small parts of the Pata in Patatim style. Order this if you want the patatim but in a 'smaller' servings.
Yang Chow - may not be the best for me (I'm picky regarding my Yang Chow) but big serving and flavorful as well. The flavor doesn't fight with the mains that you order but blends it beautifully.
The food is so good and affordable you'll always want to come back.
The menu have so much to offer and you would want to try all the meals listed. My personal fave is the Asado Rice and their plumped hakaw. The soyed white chicken is so tasty and amazing as well.
Affordable and authentic Chinese cuisine. Haven't eaten anything here that I didn't love.
Their hakaw is one of the best ones out there. Super plump and full of shrimp!
Their asado roll is good too, considering I'm not a fan of asado. Although my favorite part of the asado roll is the roll itself.
It's also good to note that they have excellent service here. Everyone is polite and courteous.
I ordered Fung Shing Dumpling and we had the food stuff separated from the soup. Serving size is crazy. It could have been good for 2 pax. Dumplings tasted fresh and good. The wash room was very clean. The staff were cheerful, especially the lady who was always smiling. I would come back if ever I develop cravings for Chinese food.

This use to be Jade Valley when it was still in Shaw. Love the new location and the food quality and service is still great and awesome. Price is very affordable highly recommended
Food: if you're craving for Chinese food, satisfy your cravings here
Ambience: Simple and clean
Service: can't judge since we're the only customer at that time
One of the best value Chinese (Cantonese) restaurants, period. It's like eating in Binondo or Banawe but within Kapitolyo, Pasig. We had a heavy lunch here for six people and our bill came to just around P1,600 (even with an extra take-out dish). They have a wide menu of for-sharing as well as solo-fare food (noodles, rice topping, dimsum).
This used to be Jade Palace along Shaw Boulevard, which used also used to be Kowloon House in the mid-90's. Not sure why the changes in name, but their menu largely traces back to those early days.
My personal favorites are pinsec frito (not in the menu I think, but you can order it), fried shrimp dumplings, yang-chow fried rice, beef brisket noodle soup (the one where the soup is served on the side), and their stir-fry mushroom/veggies .
It's one of those hole in the wall kind of places that you don't often hear or see in ads. A friend took me here after we decided to go for Chinese.
It was very homey, place not too big (so parking might not be too easy at dinner time but I'm not sure because we took an über to get here).
We started our meal with the bird's nest soup. This is so tasty I had to get a second serving and almost got myself full from just the soup.
They slightly overcooked the noodles on our crispy pancit but it was yummy just the same. It went well with the lemon chicken that we ordered which was neither too sweet nor too sour. We also tried their shrimp puff and even that was a simple treat with or without the dip that it came with.
To top ot all off, you don't have to spend too much here so it was a real gastro treat. I will surely come back for more.
It was known before as Jade Palace outside Kapitolyo. Its a go to resto after drinks, their food cures hang over. They closed down and opened this place. Servers and waiters are from the old resto. But still they serve delicious cantonese dishes. I really love their beef wanton noodles soup. I think the new store closes at 11pm, unlike before they were 24hrs. Anyway, whether they close early or 24hrs, their food is a must try and a real comfort food for me.
After the bad experience at Masuki, you may want to totally cleanse your palate for traditional Chinese or Cantonese food. Formerly known as Jade Palace, the place never fails to deliver good and generous serving of dishes. Service is better than most restaurants that you wouldn't have to complain that there's a 10% service charge (as I usually do given that it shouldn't be compulsory).
So if you want to dive into better than fast food quality service and dish, try this one. Though you may want to try plain rice rather than their yang chow.
No photos now but Oriental Pearl (or what used to be Jade) is one of our default places to order or dine in. Helps that we live close by too.. Their congee (shredded pork w century egg) is my usual meal when i get sick with colds/flu or if im recovering from my acid attacks. For less than 150 bucks super sulit na. My real fave is the Kutchay Dumplings. Tender wrapper with shrimp and kutchay..yum..i eat it without toyo, no need for it! Their yang chow rice is also pretty good for the price(125?) Super cheap! Bola2 siopao is as good as Kowloons..need to improve their sauce lang a bit more but its already a winner! Overall, u cant go wrong earing here!
The old Jade Palace located in Shaw Blvd. Grew up eating Jade Palace's food and so grateful we found them. Same old food, staff, manager — but a more homey venue. The manager told us they bought this old house and decided to transfer here because of an offer made on their previous branch. Same old comfort food such as the wanton and the siopao and the siomai. Also perfect for family gatherings since they still have set meals. Our family was seated in the old bedroom and sobrang nice and homey ng feeling. The pata tim is 💯 The sets were nakakabusog and yummy! 👌🏻
If you want an authentic Chinese food near Pasig, this is a recommended restaurant. The food tasted delicious. There's many customers waiting for an available table. I will remember that the waiter who served us had few mistakes on our orders and forgot some of our orders. I wasn't able to take photo of the food because my relatives will get mad hahaha.
I like my Chinese food greasy and salty so long as it's good, but sometimes you just want good Chinese comfort food that is neither of these two. If that's the case, you'll want to try Oriental Pearl in Kapitolyo. Aside from the yummy food, the prices are reasonable and the staff is really attentive to your needs. If it's your first time, try to roast duck. They also have a bacon-wrapped pork roll that's just as good as it sounds, but make sure to eat it before it gets cold.
We went here for my graduation dinner. We ordered one and a half of their set A menu. Eveyrthing was delicious and tasty. A must-try for me is the shrimp ball. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We rented a room for 15 persons which was 300 per hour. The place was nice and had the typical Chinese restaurant feel for dinner. Although, I'm warning you, eating a lot might get you dizzy.
After 8 months of no Fung Shing, finally I have found the new Jade Palace. They are under new management now but the food tastes the same but the serving becomes a bit smaller. Still two thumbs up for this restaurant!
This is the new Jade Palace-- one of our go-to Chinese restaurants, used to be along Shaw Blvd. It is smaller yet better, because it is cleaner and nearer to our place.
I order the Fung Shing Dumpling and Dried Beancurd-- both are bestsellers for me. Service is also okay with friendly staff.

Chinese restos are really great for big family dinners and this is no exception. The fam had dinner here for a joint birthday celebration for my brother and my nephew. I found the space quite small: the ground floor has tables for 2-6 people. The lauriat style tables for 10 people are in the second floor where they fit 2 such tables into a 10-sq ft area, resulting to a very cramped arrangement. It's a good thing the servers are prompt and friendly as some people wouldn't be able to get up from their seats to follow up on orders or to request drinks. We ordered:
- Hot and Sour soup (I found it more sour than hot (spicy)
- Chicken Asparagus Soup (great appetizer)
- Battered Fish Fillet in Sweet and Sour Sauce
- Beef Tenderloin
- Salt and Pepper Spareribs
- Shrimp with Quail Eggs and Green Peas (shrimps were very plump!)
- and of course, Yang Chow Fried Rice
The flavors all complemented each other really well and there's really no surprise why my fam prefers to have big celebrations in Chinese restos.
I have been eating at this Cantonese restaurant since I was 4 years old. It was first named as Kowloon house and then it was changed to Jade Palace located along Shaw Boulevard. Unfortunately, the place was closed due to change of Management last October 2014. I am really glad that a new investor got interested and hired most of its former staff and chef. It's our family's go-to place for Cantonese food and for on the spot/unplanned gatherings.
Chinese go-to in Kapitolyo. We always order their Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs, good for sharing! Note that the pork spare ribs rice meal is a whole other dish, with chop suey style sauce.
Finally a decent chinese restaurant very near my place. We tried it and it was ok. Definitely a go to place when craving for decent chinese food. Not in the picture is the Beef Brisket which I liked very much!:-)
