We decided to dine here, nothing special with the place, plenty of seats, serving of food was fast.
I love their teriyaki boy chicken and I hate their tuna teriyaki , tuna was so small not worthy of its price, California roll and gyoza was tasteful..
We went to Teriyaki boy for a quick bite since we’re craving Japanese food. It was my first time dining here and everything we ordered were delicious. We had sushi platter, tempura tuna tartare, and fries (forgot what it’s called). Their food were all tasty and really compliments each other.
The tempura tuna tartare is a must try. The tempura flakes really added a texture to the tuna sashimi. Also, the philly cheese steak roll was the best!! Who would have thought that cheese would be really good in a sushi??
Overall, i really recommend trying Teriyaki Boy for japanese food lovers. Their food is exploding with flavors and the price is quite affordable than other Japanese restaurants.
I have fond memories dining at Teriyaki Boy, particularly in their branch at Festival Mall, Alabang. My family had our favorite order when we used to frequent back in the mid-2000's. Receiving an invite to the new and revitalized brand i have come to know and love is a welcome treat to revisit and see what they have new to offer. Their SM MOA branch is easily located at the Main Mall South of the massive Complex. Their signature yellow signage is hard to miss.
I am glad to report that they still have their best sellers reigning on the top spot. But before indulging ourselves with their well loved menu, we tried our hands in making Maki Rolls with the help of Chef Jhay and Sir Jess from L&D. It was quite an insightful Proceso where skill and Art come hand in hand. I have a renewed appreciation when eating Maki. Those perfectly rolled little morsels are quite difficult too make. For a first time, i would like to say i did well. I kind of mangled my Roll but it still tastes terrific, the ingredients where fresh and key to a Great Maki is the use of Japanese Rice.
After our mini lesson, we finally had dinner and here's what I enjoyed:
Gyoza - plump meat filled Gyoza, crisp wanton Skin, flavorful meat. An improvement from years Past.
Cheese Gyoza - New offering perfect for Kids and cheese lovers. Their Gyoza topped with creamy cheese sauce.
Tofu Steak - New! Sadly this is not the Tofu Steak I've come to love. But i am Happy to note they made it more appealing by switching the ground Pork with Tender Beef Belly hugging the soft tofu, deep Fried to a crisp. The sauce compliments the delicate tofu and the flavorful Beef. It will take me some time to move on from the loss of my favorite but this is a welcome Change.
Teriyaki Boy Chicken - crisp Chicken Skin, soft thigh Fillet generously doused in Teriyaki sauce. The smokiness of the meat, blends with the delicate but salty Teriyaki.
Kani Salad - a family favorite. Serving size is still generous.
Beef Belly Teppanyaki - thinly sliced Beef Belly, soft and not chewy. Very filling dish, good enough to share.
Ebi Tempura - batter can be improved, Shrimps are thin but for the price point is quite competitive.
Pork Tonkatsu - very pleased with this dish! Given the price this is quite the steal of the night. The Pork was uber soft, the cabbage with sesame dressing was simple divine. It paired perfectly with the deep Fried Pork. It sort of melted the oiliness away. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish.
Surprise dish: Tuna Tartare. Fresh Tuna, crisp tempura breading, creamy Jap Mayo, enough to lightly coat the Fish. Good for sharing while enjoying a few laughs with the looloo crew.
Japanese Cheesecake - Light but still has that compact Cheesecake characteristic. Very good.
Matcha cookie a la mode - very Light green tea taste but still a good way to end the meal.
Drinks - Coffee Jelly and Green Tea Shake. NEW and improved Drinks, must have for summer.
Teriyaki Boy has been in the business for 16 years pushing for 17 this 2018. With the recent acquisition of the brand by the Max's Group, they are more aggressive than ever to regain its spot in the casual Japanese dining scene that they proudly introduced. This gave me more reason for rekindle my love for Teriyaki Boy, expect a visit from my family soon in your Alabang branch.
Disclaimer: Thank you looloo and Ms. Cherrie H. of Teriyaki Boy x Max's Group for the invite.
Teriyaki Boy, was pleasantly delicious, nothing was over the top and nothing was wrong with the food, not something out of the ordinary. It was good, it filled my hungry appetite. The service was fast and it was clean, nothing much to say but just an overall good experience to eat here.
When we came in the restaurant temperature is a bit warm, so the waitress adjust it, Kudos for that, the food is still good ( this is my fav Japanese restaurant in PH along with Sushi-ya) but considering there is already a lot of Japanese restaurant in the metro they should Lower their price, cos i paid amost 1 k for 2 persons, i should had went to yabu :)
We ordered their green tea milk shake, Ebi katsu ju, Wafu fried rice, and tori karaage. The ebi katsu ju is the only thing we're satisfied with. Their wafu fried rice is disappointing. For 100+ pesos you'll get a really small serving size (size of 1 cup of rice in carinderias). Their tori karaage isn't bad, however it's not worth its price. If there's anything I like about this restaurant it's their ambiance and the fact that it's not crowded.
Value for money? Check! Generous serving? Check! Delicious? Check! I love their katsudon. Hope they add some more dessert options in the menu.
For a quick Japanese craving I would say that it’s worth the visit.
I always go to this branch in particular when I am craving for some Japanese but don’t want to spend much as their price is fair for good food.
The last time I dined here was 3years ago. I noticed that the interior is newly renovated and is much better compared before. We ordered crunchy kani roll, ebi tempura, miso ramen, chasu ramen shoyu, katsu ju and yakisoba. This is the first time I tried their ramen and sad to say, the last na din😞 not all japanese restaurant serves authentic ramen or authentic like the least. Maybe because they don't specialize with noodle dishes. Nicko, the staff, was accomodating and friendly. They should improve on their service because it was quite slow during our visit, considering it was late lunch time already and there were few customers.
Kindda pricey and lots of crew training.. salute to the manager and plss for the to go paper bag please you know what I mean pinatungan lng ng name..
I was craving for Japanese food for like weeks now. We were at Moa earlier to watch Mockingjay Part 2 and decided to have dinner at Teriyaki Boy first. What we ordered were: Katsudon, Philly Cheesesteak Roll, Okonomiyaki, Tofu Steak, Gyoza, Yakisoba and Tempura, which wasn't served which is totally fine because we were in a hurry since we're almost late for the movie.
Katsudon comes in a big bowl which is okay if you're really hungry or if you're a rice person. My boyfriend wasn't able to finish the whole thing. It has at least 2 cups of rice and big chunky pork katsu. I had just one bite of the pork, which was tender although it has this fishy aftertaste. Maybe it was just me because boyfie didnt complain. Hihi
It was my first time to try Okonomiyaki ever. I was thinking it is just like flattened Takoyaki. Well, theirs is like a thick pancake with few vegetables topped with japanese mayo and dried bonito. The description on the menu says it has squid but i don't think i tasted one.
Their Gyoza was okay. Nothing special. The dipping sauce is too salty for me. Yakisoba was just okay as well. I like how the noodles weren't too soft and has the right amount of the sahog. Haha.
Philly Cheesesteak Roll. Ugh. Disappointing. I heard and i have read good reviews about this one so i was expecting it to be really good. It was the first item that was served. I felt giddy but then the rice was too soft it is falling apart, it has a tiny bit of beef wrapped inside, too small i couldn't even taste it. There's one piece that doesn't even have beef at all just rice, nori and cheese. Bland. Just like in love, you expect so you get hurt. Sad.
I loooove the Tofu Steak. It really is tofu (not tokwa, lol) and is seasoned well. It goes well with the thing on top of it, im not sure what it was but it's like ground pork with onions and shitake mushroom. Sooo good! My fave out of all we ordered.
I would commend their big servings and cheap prices. Our bill was just about 1300php. The 3 of us were full and we were able to take home some leftovers pa. Will come back to try some food items :)
Teriyaki Boy is one of my go-to restaurants: can't decide where to eat, most likely, my friends and I'll end up here. Their menu is pretty standard for Japanese fast food, and so is the taste.
This time around my mum and I just split a gyudon (zomg 300+ for that bowl I cannot) and gyoza.
Honestly, gyudon for me will never be the same after eating Ooma's version, so this was.... Okay. Not a lot of it in the bowl, but it'll fill you up nonetheless. The rice was a bit mushy for my taste.
Gyoza was a bit small in size, and a bit too salty, but it was country, and if they just held back a pinch or two it would've been great. The sauce with it was good too - tangy and sweet, but again the salt from the gyoza filling overpowered the dip.
Service here was good though - maybe because it was late, and there weren't a lot of people.
Before I ate here, I really don't eat sushi. At all. I had a bad experience when I was younger so I stay away from restaurants that offer sushi. My officemates persuade me to try again and I was surprised. I loved it. Maybe that thing about your tastebuds changing every 6 years is true. Haha. I devoured the Crispy Kani Maki. Also the California Maki and the Kanin Salad. I can eat it all day. Everyday. Come and check them out.
I ordered kani salad and california roll. I did enjoy eating here without spending too much for an asian dish. California roll is good but the salad is not as good as I had before in other resto, still it didnt disappoint me 'coz the serving is really big, nice and looks so yummy. I was not too hungry that time but I was able to finish both.
We were at the smx convention center for an event and we decided to eat dinner.
Since every restaurant was full on a Saturday night, we ended up here.
We ordered some Japanese fusion food
One of which was the teriyaki boy chicken maki
We also ordered some tempura and chicken teriyaki with rice for sharing
We were seated outside.
Overall the place was okay, at least we ate.

The food here it taste good and very affordable price. Come and visit here it has a nice ambiance and all staff is all good attitude. Thanks.:-)
When we crave for Japanese food, Teriyaki Boy's one of the choices. :)
Tried gyuniku teriyaki (single serving, but can be shared by two) and teriyaki boy chicken ramen. We noticed that their ramens have the same taste; difference will be the ingredients only.
Their pork tonkatsu is just okay, nothing special. Yabu will always be the best for that. The teriyaki chicken ju is delicious, a must-try.
Their service is good. Staff are attentive, too. It's a little bit pricey here, but still good.
I always love Tofu Steak and this is where I first learn of it's existence. Grace and Alvin went to MOA and I was their chaperon. Teriyaki Boy which is around the area popped up out of nowhere, well, we were actually walking along the area. So we decided to enter.
We ordered for Tofu Steak, Ebi Tempura and California Maki. So filling, even with the tofu steak alone. I was so full I cannot get up. Thanks alvin for the treat hehehe...
Service was actually a little slow and most of the staff are not attentive. The price is fine., it can be your daily meal. The taste was good.
Tofu Steak, California Roll, Philly Cheese Steak Roll, Ebi Tempura
This restaurant never gets old to me!
